Snoop Dogg Recalls Kendrick Lamar Giving Him Advice In Full-Circle Moment

Snoop Dogg may be one of the most enduring, beloved, and iconic faces in all of hip-hop, but he still has a lot to learn as an artist. Moreover, he recently appeared on Bootleg Kev’s podcast and recalled one time in which Kendrick Lamar impressed him so much that he had to reach out for career advice. Of course, this is a full-circle moment given that Tha Doggfather was the one to pass the West Coast rap torch to K.Dot over ten years ago. Now Kendrick can repay the favor from an elevated position, which must be very fulfilling for him.

“I called Kendrick maybe a year and a half ago when I was overseas and I had watched him perform in Paris,” Snoop Dogg said of Kendrick Lamar. “He had did a show in Paris on Amazon. And I was so f***ing intrigued with his show and his showmanship and the way he had his s**t together. I hit Terrace Martin, I said, ‘Cuh, give me K.Dot number.’ He gave me his number and I call cuz. I said, ‘Man, how the f**k did you do that show, man? What I got to do to make my show like that?’

Snoop Dogg Reveals Advice That Kendrick Lamar Gave Him

The K.Dot convo begins around the 3:41-minute mark.

“And he gave me some simple s**t about, like, just, ‘Keep doing the s**t you do,’” Snoop Dogg continued concerning the advice that Kendrick Lamar gave him. “But it was so much information in that small conversation that I ended up making my show even better. But that’s me not having an ego and reaching out to someone who’s younger than me, flyer than me, doper than me, and got a tap on some s**t I need to get information on.”

Snoop Dogg is also quick to admit when he messes up, such as his response to Kendrick Lamar name-dropping his “Taylor Made Freestyle” repost on his GNX intro, “wacced out murals.” To see their relationship and positions evolve has been incredibly interesting, as they still have so much respect for one another. Just goes to show that you are never too old to learn, even if you’re a hip-hop legend.

Wallo Gives Lil Durk Advice About Forgiving Enemies In Resurfaced Clip

Amid the shocking news of Lil Durk’s arrest for alleged murder-for-hire conspiracy to retaliate over the murder of his friend King Von, a clip from 2022 resurfaced of Wallo giving him advice on his Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast with Gillie. In it, the media personality emotionally spoke on how he forgave his brother’s killer, and how he hopes that the Chicago rapper can do the same for his enemies. Wallo said that Durk is bigger than the pain, and tearfully recalled when his brother died in his grandmother’s arms in the house they grew up in. Durk also tragically lost his brother in a shooting the year before this interview.

“If I ain’t let that s**t go, I wouldn’t be right here today,” Wallo told Lil Durk. “I wouldn’t be here for my nieces and my nephews, and me and Gil’ wouldn’t be doing this. Y’all wouldn’t know me, I wouldn’t be able to give y’all this game. I had to let that s**t go. When I let that s**t go, I started to grow and I started to glow. And now I’m here today, and it was harder than a motherf***er, man. […] But I’ll tell you one thing. Now I’m out here taking care of his daughter, paying for her to go to school. Taking care of my nephew, taking care of my momma and my grand-momma. ‘Cause I forgave my brother’s killer, but I understand what y’all going through. But I love all you young n***as in here, man, and I mean that. I love you n***as, man, and I hope y’all make it out.”

Wallo’s Emotional Advice To Lil Durk

In addition, this resurfaced clip represents a divide in Lil Durk’s fanbase. Some fans accused other fans of trying to goad him into pursuing this lifestyle further instead of advocating for him to stay out of trouble. This relates to the many tragedies in the Chicago rapper’s life for which some fans felts revenge was acceptable.

Of course, all this discussion is not a federal court trial, so we can’t jump to conclusions on these alleged crimes. As for updates on Lil Durk’s legal situation, we still have yet to hear more after his upcoming transfer to Los Angeles was reported. We will see what else emerges in the coming weeks.

50 Cent Recalls Giving Drake This Advice After Kendrick Lamar Beef

It goes without saying that Drake’s viral lyrical battle with Kendrick Lamar has been difficult for the Toronto rapper to come back from. According to 50 Cent, however, it’s not impossible. During a recent interview with Billboard, the hitmaker shared his take on the situation and recalled some advice he gave to Drizzy earlier this year.

“Drake is in that position right now,” he began. “They trying to resist the music, because he put out some things that are dope. I say a lot of things on social and they get upset because they look and go, ‘Ahh, I’m automatically supposed to be on Kendrick’s side because of my association with Dre.’ And I love Kendrick, but I’ll say it to you—I didn’t see where what [Drake] did was wack at any point.”

50 Cent Reveals He Told Drake Not To Slow Down

“They giving [Drake] the, ‘Oh you wack, you finished.’ I’m like, ‘Nah, come on.’ That’s the system trying to make some sort of resistance and it’s from the consistency. When you win consecutively, that part of the hip-hop demographic wants you out of there. I started to feel the resistance for the Curtis album,” 50 Cent continued. “I was telling him, it’s not him… I’m listening on the outskirts, it’s not you. Don’t let yourself think that for a second. On some real s**t, I said, ‘They said you lost, OK. Well, what did you lose?’ What exactly did he lose, if he got $300 something million on his last tour? You didn’t lose a muthaf**kin thing, man.”

“If that’s the moment, you keep your creative energy in the right place, and keep creating. If you slow down because you feel, ‘What the f**k?’ The resistance will make you feel like your material isn’t good. Then you gotta figure out how to keep pushing, how to keep creating—because that’s what it feels like to you at the moment. That s**t was good for hip-hop. It made both of them create quality material faster,” he also added. What do you think of 50 Cent revealing the advice he gave Drake after his beef with Kendrick Lamar this year? Suge Knight Has A Cryptic Warning For Diddy After Arrest

Diddy’s legal battle is just beginning, as he was arrested earlier this week in NYC. He’s since been charged with “racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution,” according to TMZ. His bail request was denied for a second time on Wednesday, meaning he’ll remain at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn for the time being. Suge Knight, who’s also currently behind bars, recently offered him some words of advice on his prison podcast Collect Call with Suge Knight.

“I’ll tell you what Puffy, your life is in danger ’cause you know the secrets of who’s involved in that little secret room you guys are participating in,” he began. “You know they gonna get you if they can. It’s a little cr*zy how Puffy get booted out the alcohol business and Jimmy Iovine steps in with Andre [Dr. Dre] and Snoopy [Snoop Dogg] promoting it. That’s never a good look when it comes to the culture of Hip-Hop, our community and our people. I turned myself in. Sometimes you gotta face the music, that’s most of the time.”

Suge Knight Tells Diddy His “Life Is In Danger”

“Puffy, I’m gonna give you some real advice,” he also added. “Two quick things. You gotta make a decision. When you go to prison, either you’re gonna be standing up pissing or squatting, sitting down p*****’. I advise you to try to take the first one ’cause if you squatting and p*****’ you know what that means. Do not do your time going by Brother Love. Brother Love is not a good code name.”

This isn’t the first indicator the public has gotten that Diddy’s life is in danger, however. It was also recently reported that he’s been placed on suicide watch. According to his lawyer Marc Agnifilo, this is just standard procedure for the facility where he’s being held. What do you think of Diddy’s getting arrested earlier this week? What about Suge Knight’s words of advice? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Meek Mill Clowned For Asking Twitter Users For Financial Advice

Meek Mill is a millionaire, and a lot of folks believe that this puts him out of any regular conversations going on around social media on a daily basis. Moreover, fans recently clowned him for asking his Twitter followers, and the platform as a whole, for some business tips. “I need a person in china to source products for my companies anybody online that’s popular for doing that and connecting with businesses in America?” the Philly MC inquired online. While his presence on social media these days has mostly been dominated by the Diddy allegations that surround him, fans took a break to question why he’s asking Internet users for CFO-level advice.

“Bruh just use Alibaba lmfaooo,” one fan joked, whereas another wrote, “How you a millionaire with zero connections.” Others clowned Meek Mill for taking to Twitter when search engines are a thing, such as this amusing example: “I swear meek thinks twitter is google.” Of course, there were also plenty of people actually offering their help, whether it was just to troll the “Soul Survivors” rapper or to try to get their big business break. We wonder whether any of them actually got a DM at press time, or if he will heed his followers’ advice and check in with Michael Rubin or something.

Ice Spice Shares Advice From Taylor Swift That She’ll “Never Forget”

Ice Spice says Taylor Swift shared a valuable piece of advice while they were in the studio together working on “Karma” and she’ll never forget it. Speaking with Billboard for a new interview, she revealed what wisdom the iconic singer imparted to her.

“When I was in the studio with Taylor, like, I’ll never forget that. She told me, ‘No matter what, just keep making music and everything’s going to be fine.,” Spice recalled. The two teamed up for “Karma” back in May 2023. In the time since, they performed at MetLife Stadium and attended Super Bowl LVIII together.

Elsewhere in the interview, Spice discussed working on her debut studio album, Y2K. When asked what she’s listening for as she puts the project together, she explained: “First, a really hard beat. If the beat doesn’t instantly move me — like if I don’t physically feel the beat of the speakers — then I’m just going to keep moving on to the next one. But as soon as I know, I know I have that beat. It’s up from there.” In that vein, she also admitted she didn’t expect “Boy’s a liar, Pt. 2” to be as big as it became. She also had more faith in “Actin a Smoochie.” Spice explained: “I thought that ‘Actin a Smoochie’ would be a bigger song. Every time I hear it, I’m just gagged that it’s not bigger. [But] ‘Boy’s a liar, Pt. 2,’ I never thought that song would be as big as it is. I knew it would be a big moment, but I didn’t think it would be triple-platinum.”

G Herbo Offers Advice To Artists, Advises Stepping Out Of Comfort Zone

In the fast-paced and competitive world of the music industry, artists often find themselves at a crossroads between staying within their comfort zones and venturing into uncharted territories. Chicago-born rapper G Herbo, known for his gritty lyrics and authentic storytelling, recently shared valuable advice for aspiring artists looking to make the most of Grammy weekend and beyond. When asked about his insights on networking and navigating the complexities of the music industry during Grammy weekend, G Herbo emphasized the significance of stepping out of one’s comfort zone.

During The Labels Brunch Grammy week event hosted Uproxx and Velcro Records, G Herbo stopped by HotNewHipHop on the carpet. He asserted, “I learned that taking yourself out of your comfort zone is the best thing you can do as an artist. You just gotta say f*** it in a way and just do it.” For emerging artists eager to leave their mark, the allure of staying within the confines of familiarity can be strong. However, G Herbo’s advice underscores the importance of embracing discomfort as a catalyst for growth and success.
