Kanye West x Adidas Yeezy Q3 Sales Numbers Revealed

Kanye West and Adidas had a long and prosperous relationship before he essentially threw it all away. Of course, he did this back in 2022 thanks to his anti-semitic messages and ramblings on social media. Overall, a lot of people were disappointed with Ye. It makes sense that people would feel this way. After all, people rightfully thought their favorite artist would be above Nazi rhetoric. However, Ye proved people to be wrong, and he has since gone into a quasi-exile out in Italy.

Originally, Adidas had dropped Ye entirely. However, they eventually had a change of heart once they saw that they were bleeding money. Moreover, the brand had about $1 billion worth of Yeezy stock that was being stored in their warehouse. They needed a way to cut some of that stock loose without losing a ton of money. This subsequently led to a temporary contract in which Adidas began selling some of Kanye’s sneakers, for a limited time until the stock was all sold off.

Kanye West Helps Adidas Recover

Overall, this strategy has been very successful for Adidas. They have been able to make up a lot of ground, and their losses aren’t nearly as bad as before. New reporting from The New York Post shows that in Q3, Adidas made $160 million from the sale of Yeezys. This was huge for them as they are now only on track to lose $100 million as opposed to the estimated $450 million. Needless to say, the Kanye effect is still very much a real thing.

Only time will tell whether or not Adidas and Ye decide to renew their partnership permanently. If Ye is able to redeem himself and get out of his own way, then it is likely that Adidas would want the Yeezy brand back in its grasp. Let us know what you think about all of this, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the sneaker world. Five Best Adidas Samba Colorways For The Fall

Overall, the Adidas Samba has proven to be one of the best sneakers on the market. This shoe has been going through a massive resurgence, with many trying to get a few pairs for themselves. In fact, some could liken this to the Nike Dunk craze that we saw over the past few years. Although not everyone likes this phenomenon, there are plenty of others out there who just want to get their hands on some dope colorways. Today, we are looking at five offerings that are perfect for the Fall.

Adidas Samba “White/Black”

Firstly, we have a color scheme that is pretty well iconic to every single silhouette in sneaker history. A white and black model goes a long way. After all, these are two shades that pair well with anything. Sure, it may lack a little bit of imagination, but who cares? These are essential, and it is no surprise they are among the best-sellers.

“Halo Blue”

Secondly, we have this gorgeous “Halo Blue” model. Overall, the predominant color here is white. In fact, you could say this about most of the color schemes on this list. However, that does not mean these are boring. We get some light blue up near the back heel and tongue. Moreover, the three stripes on the side are a lighter shade of blue, that offers up some contrast.

Adidas Samba “Crystal White/Clay”

Next up, we have this “Crystal White” and “Clay” offering. Clay shoes are perfect for the Fall season thanks to the neutral brown tones. On these kicks, we get those contrasting beiges and browns that help present a shoe that would look good in some khakis, or even jeans. It’s not your typical white base offering, and a lot of fans will appreciate that.

“Better Scarlet”

“Better Scarlet” is another Adidas Samba sneaker that starts you off with a white base. However, the key to this shoe is the red three-stripe logo that appears on the side. Overall, this is a great look, and we’re sure fans are going to enjoy it. White and red always work extremely well together, and that rule most certainly applies to this shoe.

Adidas Samba WMNS “Beige/White”

Lastly, we have included a women’s sneaker. Once again, this is a model that employs two tunes that always seem to be popular in the Fall. Those two tones are, of course, white and beige. The colors contrast very nicely here, and they come together to form a shoe that is perfect for any Fall wardrobe.

Let us know which of these colorways is your favorite, in the comments section down below.

Kanye West Reportedly Working on His Next Album, Completing 10 Songs in a Week

'Drink Champs' Episode Featuring Kanye West Pulled From YouTube as N.O.R.E. Offers Apologies

Kanye West is reportedly hard at work on his next album. Reports state that the music icon is in “a truly great headspace” and ten new songs were finished in the past week.

According to TMZ, Ye’s new work will be reminiscent of “old Kanye,” and there have been collaborations with Ty Dolla $ign. Recently, Ye’s “Jesus Is King 2” leaked online with Dr. Dre.

In another possible sign of a full Ye comeback, he receives words of support from Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden. In an interview, Gulden stated he doesn’t believe Kanye West is a bad person.

“And then as creative people he did some statements which wasn’t that good,” Gulden said. “And that caused Adi to break the contract and withdraw the product. Very unfortunate because I don’t think he meant what he said and I don’t think he’s a bad person it just came across that way.

“That meant we lost that business. One of the most successful collabs in history — very said. But again, when you work with third parties that can happen. It’s part of the game.”

Addison Rae Adidas: What Was The Controversy?

Addison Rae, a name synonymous with TikTok fame, found herself embroiled in a controversy that left the internet buzzing. With a massive following of over 88 million on TikTok, Rae’s every move is under the microscope. And in August 2022, a particular Instagram post of hers stirred the pot, leading to widespread debates and discussions.

On August 2, 2022, Addison Rae took to Instagram to share a promotional post for Adidas. The image showcased her in a Holy Trinity bikini from the Praying clothing brand. The bikini top had the words “Father” on one side and “Son” on the other. Although the bikini bottoms weren’t visible in the post, they bore the words “Holy Spirit.” This post, intended to confirm her partnership with Adidas, didn’t sit well with a section of her audience.

The reactions to the post were swift and polarized. While many showered Rae with compliments, calling the photo a “home run,” others found it disrespectful. Comments like “Sad what ya’ll do for money” and “Is nobody gonna talk about this disrespecting religions?” flooded in. The negative sentiments grew so strong that Rae decided to delete the post a day later. However, by then, the damage was done.

Interestingly, Rae wasn’t the only celebrity to face backlash for wearing the Holy Trinity bikini. Christina Aguilera had posted a video of herself in the same bathing suit, albeit with the words in French, a few days prior. She too faced criticism for her choice.

The timing of this controversy couldn’t have been worse for Addison Rae. Just weeks before this incident, she was already in the news due to another scandal involving her family. A 25-year-old woman named Renee Ash had come forward, claiming she had an affair with Addison’s father, Monty Lopez, who was 46 at the time. Ash alleged that Lopez had misled her about his marital status and had promised a future together.

This back-to-back scandal scenario intensified the scrutiny on Rae. While the controversies surrounding her Adidas partnership and her family eventually died down, the repercussions were evident. Rae hasn’t collaborated with Adidas since the incident. Additionally, her relationship with her parents seems strained, though the exact dynamics with her brothers, Enzo and Lucas Lopez, remain uncertain.

Kanye West Defense From Adidas CEO Leads To Swift Clarification From The Brand

Kanye West and Adidas are no longer business partners. Although they made billions of dollars together, it became clear they needed to split. Following Kanye’s barrage of anti-semitic remarks, Adidas took action and put an end to their contract. However, they had to rejoin forces recently so they could sell off a whole bunch of Yeezy stock. It was a successful restock that allowed Ye and Adidas to get some money back after staggering losses.

Recently, the Kanye x Adidas partnership was relitigated by none other than Adidas CEO Bjorn Gulden. Gulden was on a podcast where he revealed how he believes Ye is not a bad person. Moreover, he praised him for his creativity. “I think Kanye West is one of the most creative people in the world, both in music and what I would call street culture. He’s extremely creative,” Gulden said. “I don’t think he meant what he said and I don’t think he’s a bad person, it just came across that way.”

Kanye West x Adidas

Of course, a lot of people took issue with this as they felt it was a diminishing of Ye’s words. Well, Adidas decided to take action and issued a statement to the Associated Press. In this statement, they make it clear that they feel like the end of their Ye partnership was the right thing to do. “Our decision to end our partnership with Ye because of his unacceptable comments and behavior was absolutely the right one,” Adidas exclaimed. “Our stance has not changed: Hate of any kind has no place in sports or society, and we remain committed to fighting it.”

This was a small but significant controversy for Adidas given the fact that they had to respond. Hopefully, they have learned their lesson as it pertains to Ye. Let us know what you think of all this, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will always keep you informed.

Adidas CEO Speaks On Kanye West’s Anti-Semitic Comments: ‘I Don’t Think He Meant What He Said’

Kanye West

Adidas’ CEO has recently shared his thoughts on Kanye West’s anti-semitic comments. Despite their previous fallout, he also acknowledged West’s success in fashion with the Yeezy line and praised his talents in the music industry. Kanye West Is Not A “Bad Person,” Says Adidas CEO

Kanye West used to have a very lucrative deal with Adidas. Overall, the Yeezy brand was extremely strong and was responsible for just how successful Adidas was in the industry. However, once Ye started spewing anti-semitic remarks, it became clear that they needed to cut ties. Unfortunately for Adidas, this left a $1.3 billion hole in the company. Since that time, the brand has tried to let go of its Yeezy stock, and so far, it has proven to be extremely successful.

Given everything that has happened between these two, you would expect Adidas and its CEO, Bjorn Gulden, to be upset. However, that is very much not the case. Instead, Gulden is taking all of this in stride. In fact, while speaking on the In Good Company podcast, Gulden was very complimentary of the rapper. He even noted how sometimes, having to get rid of a collaborator is just the cost of doing business. “when you work with third parties that can happen. It’s part of the game. That can happen with an athlete, with an entertainer. It’s part of the business,” Gulden said.

Bjorn Gulden Defends Kanye West

From there, Gulden explained how Kanye is a creative genius and that what he did with Adidas was simply spectacular. “I think Kanye West is one of the most creative people in the world, both in music and what I would call street culture. He’s extremely creative,” Gulden noted. Subsequently, he claimed that he believes Ye does not actually agree with what he has said about Jewish people in the media. “I don’t think he meant what he said and I don’t think he’s a bad person, it just came across that way,” Gulden remarked.

Most people probably wouldn’t give Ye this kind of benefit of the doubt. Especially not if they were the CEO of Adidas, who now has to oversee massive revenue losses. Regardless, it seems like Gulden might be open to collaborating with Ye again in the future. Only time will tell whether or not that is actually in the cards.

“That meant we lost that business. One of the most successful collabs in history — very said. But again, when you work with third parties that can happen. It’s part of the game.”

Adidas reports a revenue of $437 million in the first release of leftover Yeezy sneakers from their nixed deal with Ye, formerly known as Kanye West. The first run of shoes hit online in June, selling out. The second run began to sell on Wednesday.

The sale of the sneakers was the efforts to empty their inventory responsibly. After the first launch, CEO Bjørn Gulden said, “We will continue to carefully sell off more of the existing Yeezy inventory,”

Adidas has also announced the donation of over 10 million euros to groups like the Anti-Defamation League, the Philonise & Keeta Floyd Institute for Social Change, and Robert Kraft’s Foundation to Combat Antisemitism.

According to Billboard, 20% to 25% of the stock was unloaded in the first sale.
