50 Cent Is Nonplussed By The Game’s Assertion That Kanye West Did More For Him Than Dr. Dre
When The Game made the claim that Kanye West has done more for his career in two weeks than Dr. Dre did in the nearly two decades since his debut album, many people were confused and surprised — including one of Game’s oldest frenemies, 50 Cent. It took a while for the headline to find the Power producer but once he saw it, he couldn’t contain his reaction, which could best be described as “nonplussed.”
“Hun, what happen here?” 50 tweeted along with a screenshot of the quote in question. He didn’t elaborate, but it’s one of those situations that doesn’t need explanation. It was Dr. Dre who brought The Game into the Aftermath/G-Unit machine, producing several of the Compton rapper’s earliest hits, including “Westside Story” and “How We Do,” which both featured 50 Cent. It’s probably reasonable to attribute all the success The Game has had to those early moves giving him such a solid foundation and a fanbase.

However, 50 Cent was also a major factor in Game’s falling out with Dr. Dre, resulting in Game’s second album being released by Geffen, another subsidiary of Interscope, rather than Dre’s own Aftermath imprint. The Game wouldn’t reunite with Dre until 2011’s The R.E.D. Album, his fourth album. That being said, Kanye West has had a presence on Game’s albums since the first as well and produced the song “Eazy,” which brought new attention to The Game in 2022. Maybe recency bias is the reason for Game making such a bold statement — either that or the profuse amount of alcohol he apparently consumed while filming his Drink Champs interview — but it looks like at least one of his peers isn’t buying it.
50 Cent Threatens To Pull ‘Power’ From Starz (Again) After Dealing With ‘Dumb Sh*t’ For Too Long
50 Cent’s Power series — along with its assorted spinoffs — has long been one of the hottest things on TV, driven by his fervent fanbase and strong social media buzz. However, that hasn’t stopped 50, who executive produces the shows, as well as having a recurring role on the original Power, from running into frustrations with Starz, the network that carries the shows. Although he’s expressed his feelings about the network before, apparently things have reached a new head, leaving the rapper-turned-mogul ready to pack his bags after his 2017 deal expires according to his latest post on Instagram.
Posting a string of images of luggage, including a gif from Oran “Juice” Jone’s “The Rain” video, 50 once again threatened to take his talents elsewhere. “This is me packing my stuff, STARZ,” he taunted in the caption of the gif. “Sucks, my deal is up over here I’m out. They renewed High Town and [Power Book IV] FORCE is the highest-rated show they have it sitting in limbo. If I told you how much dumb sh*t I deal with over here.”
In the other photos, he jokingly kept the motif running, as a series of dialogue exchanges with partners and employees. “Anil, get your f*cking bags in the car now, we are out of here,” read one. “take that f*cking sign off the door no more G-unit film and television over here.” Another cracked, “Michael, what the f*ck are you takings so long for, let’s go! Why are you folding all of your clothing so perfect, we can just get new clothes when we get where we going.”
Whether this tactic results in Starz renewing Force for another season or allowing 50 to truly walk out the door, one this is certain: 50 Cent will find a way to make even contract negotiations seem entertaining.

50 Cent announced on Instagram yesterday that he’s planning to leave the STARZ network and take all his hit shows with him. His highly-rated show, “Power,” is still yet to be renewed by the network. 50 Cent On STARZ Contract: They Suck, My Deal Is Up And I’m Out
With all the success 50 Cent and the STARZ Network has seen with the Power series and Power Universe, one would assume that the connection between producer and network would be a smooth one but that’s certainly not the case with Fif and STARZ.
I na surprising post blasting the network, 50 posted, “This is me packing my stuff, STARZ Sucks, my deal is up over here I’m out. They Renewed High town and FORCE is the highest-rated show they have sitting in limbo. If I told you how much dumb shit I deal with over here. you would think they all went to school on a small yellow bus. ” He ended the post with, “Hold my calls i’m traveling, getting the f**k away from STARZ.”

50 Cent Threatens To Pull Power Universe From Starz: “If I Told You How Much Dumb Sh*t I Deal With Over Here”
50 Cent has been the reason for a lot of the Starz network success since the hit show Power debuted in 2014. The show has spawned 3 spinoffs and as a result of the Power universe’s success, 50 has been able to greenlight other shows for the network. That doesn’t go to say that Fif has not had his fair share of problems with Starz. In a recent Instagram post, Fif seemed to have had enough and is ready to pull the Power universe from Starz.
“This is me packing my stuff, STARZ Sucks,” Fif captioned an instagram post with a video of a man packing a suitcase. “My deal is up over here I’m out. They Renewed High town and FORCE is the highest rated show they have it sitting in limbo. If I told you how much dumb shit I deal with over here.”
Fif continued his tirade in multiple IG posts. “Hold my calls i’m traveling, getting the fvck away from STARZ.”
In other posts, he posted pictures of people packing their luggage and captioned the pictures, calling on executives from his G-Unit Film & Television company, including Anil Kurian, Head of Development for G-Unit Film & Television to pack their bags.
“Anil get your fvcking bag’s in the car now, we are out of here, take that fvcking sign off the door no more G-unit film and television over here,” he wrote.
In 2018, Fif signed a 4 year deal with the network that was reportedly worth $150 million. As he enters the final ear in his contact, it might be possible we see Fif leave the network and take the Power universe with him.
