Coi Leray Took Issue With Latto Rapping About Her Body On Her New Single, ‘Put It On Da Floor’

A few hours ago, Latto dropped a fresh single, “Put It On Da Floor.” To open the track’s second verse, she raps, “Smokin’ on that gas, blunt big as Coi Leray.” Leray didn’t care for that.

After the song came out, Leray took to Twitter. She started with, “Let’s fight [grinning face with sweat emoji].” She continued, “Latto bye . [sleeping emoji] here you go taking about my body. Please do not come on here and talk about nobody BODY. Lol like seriously . Out of all things . Lmaooo ya blunt my size ? Lmaooo this sh*t is never ending.” Leray added, “These b*tches wanna be like the n****s so bad. Y’all wanna have rap beef SOOOOOO BADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD [crying laughing emojis] [grinning face with sweat emojis].” She continued, “Anybody that talk about my body wants MY BODY!!!!!!!!!!!! Like real badddddd.”

A couple house after the initial tweets, she added, “If you don’t like me , support me or fwm don’t mention my name. Period. Sh*t don’t make sense. I don’t know none of you b*tches in real life. Stay in y’all lane and leave me outta the bullsh*t. I be minding my business and showing real love offline.”

Latto hasn’t responded yet, but she did note, ““The content I’m about to roll out is a whole fresh new leaf. I genuinely love to see the new wave of female rap, and I’m honored to be a part of it.”

6ix9ine Displays His Singing Chops In New Snippet

If you know anything about 6ix9ine, it’s probably that he is hated by pretty well everyone in the hip-hop world. Overall, it is very easy to see why this would be the case. After all, he snitched on a whole bunch of people and landed them in jail for years. Moreover, upon leaving prison, he went on a nasty tirade in which he dissed people like King Von and Nipsey Hussle, after they had already passed away. Once these tactics stopped provoking people, he went away for a while and wasn’t heard from.

However, that all changed after he was jumped inside of an LA Fitness. It was an unfortunate incident for 6ix9ine, which ended up going mega-viral. Although, he seems to be making the best of it. In the last few weeks, he has dropped two new songs, including “WAPAE,” which seems to be doing huge numbers on YouTube and beyond. People love the Latin direction 6ix9ine has been going in, and soon, he will be dropping more new music. He has posted a plethora of snippets online, including the one below.

6ix9ine Is Having Fun

As you can hear up above, this track actually flexes the fact that 6ix9ine is a pretty decent singer. Whether or not there are a ton of vocal effects here, is up the engineer to divulge. Either way, it sounds like another Latin club smash that could very well become an arena song. Additionally, he will be working with Lenier again, who has a history with the rainbow-haired rapper. Furthermore, the rapper continues to tease the new contest for his music video. He is looking for a country to film in, and he is also looking for a video girl.

Whether or not this song will live up to the expectations of his fans, remains to be seen. Although the rap establishment has blacklisted him, there is no doubt that other genres are accepting his comeback for what it is. Whether or not this leads to any longevity, remains to be seen. Let us know what you think of this new direction, in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world.

Coi Leray Puts Latto On Blast For Body-Shaming Her

Coi Leray is steadily climbing the charts these days. Overall, she has reinvented her career thanks to working with EDM artists. For instance, David Guetta has been showing major love to Leray, and it has paid off. However, Leray seemingly still has her fair share of haters. In fact, some of this hate is even coming from her peers, at least so it seems. Last night, Latto dropped her new song “Put It On Da Floor.” Within the song, there were some bars about Coi Leray, that were certainly questionable.

“Smoking on that gas blunt big as Coi Leray/ Bitches like to run they mouth, but I’m the type to run a fade,” Latto raps on the new song. Subsequently, Coi caught wind of these bars, and immediately took to Twitter where she went in on the rapper. “Latto bye [sleeping face emoji] here you go taking about my body,” Coi Leray wrote. “Please do not come on here and talk about nobody BODY. Lol like seriously . Out of all things . Lmaooo ya blunt my size ? Lmaooo this shit is never ending. These bitches wanna be like the n-ggas so bad. Y’all wanna have rap beef SOOOOOO BADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD [crying face emojis] … LITTLE MISS PRESSURE.”

Coi Leray Addresses Latto

Overall, these were some very strong words from Leray. Many have commented on her figure in the past, which has always rubbed people the wrong way. Moreover, one can just imagine how Coi feels about it. Although, to have another artist do it, certainly felt persona. Leray even followed up her tweets with one more post in which she let her final thoughts on the matter be known. “If you don’t like me, support me or fwm don’t mention my name. Period,” she said. “Shit don’t make sense. I don’t know none of you bitches in real life. Stay in y’all lane and leave me outta the bullshit. I be minding my business and showing real love offline.”

Latto has yet to respond to Coi Leray and her Twitter tirade. Perhaps this is all just a complete misunderstanding. Regardless, Latto learned a valuable lesson about commenting on people and their bodies. Let us know whose side you are on in this situation, in the comments section below. KRS-One Moves Into Hip-Hop’s Birthplace, 1520 Sedgwick, Leading to Hip-Hop’s 50th Anniversary

ezgif.com webp to jpg 9

KRS-One, a renowned pioneer of hip hop and an activist, author, and philosopher, will return to the Community Center at 1520 Sedgwick, the birthplace of the genre. KRS-One will direct a number of community-based events, including a masterclass in hip hop, as part of the launch of Birthplaceofhiphop.nyc.

Hip-hop’s soul and present expressions will also be highlighted and celebrated in the classes and pop-up displays, in addition to its origins. The tale started in the summer of 1973 at a back-to-school fundraiser held in the community center of a low-income housing complex at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue. After 50 years and despite its modest beginnings, this energy is alive and well worldwide and has been portrayed in poetry, music, dance, and other kinds of art. Hip Hop is a movement that is unique in terms of the breadth of its impact.

KRS-One will officially inaugurate the celebration that will take place on August 11 and beyond on April 25 by joining local officials, renters, and the building’s owners. The celebration will feature the art form that serves as the hub of the global cultural phenomenon known as Hip Hop. He will host a series of educational programs including Hip-Hop’s major “cultural contributors.”

“The 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop is a global movement that speaks to the grit, voice, and power of how it came to be in the first place – we used our voices when they tried to silence us. We used our creativity when they tried to stifle us. We created the culture because we wanted to stand out and stand up for our artistry. Hip Hop is the people’s movement. I am excited to showcase this to the world in the space where it all began at 1520 Sedgwick in the Community Center. It feels right to be here, where it all began,” said KRS-One.

In addition, KRS-One and Birthpalceofhiphop.nyc are calling for the global Hip-Hop community to participate in a logo celebration celebrating the culture’s 50th anniversary. The winning design will honor the aspects of hip-hop required to commemorate its 50th anniversary and to motivate upcoming generations to develop and spread its message. Information on the contest can be found here.

KRS- One added, “I’m especially excited about this global logo contest, we’re calling all creatives, designers, graffiti artists to show us their best representation of what Hip Hop is. As Hip Hop marks this historic milestone, we look to this generation of Hip Hop creatives, designers and enthusiasts, to create the official logo of Hip Hop’s 50th Anniversary.”
