Francis Ngannou Speaks On Potential Jon Jones Fight

Francis Ngannou just had a massive weekend as he defeated Stipe Miocic to become the Heavyweight champion of the UFC. It was a huge knockout victory and one that showed just how powerful Ngannou is. Following the fight, Dana White and others have been hyping up a match against Jon Jones, although the UFC legend wants to get paid a hefty amount. While speaking to TMZ, Ngannou expressed confidence that the Jones fight will happen, as it’s simply too big of an opportunity.

“I believe that Jon Jones wants this fight,” Ngannou said. “I believe he’ll want it to happen because it’s gonna be a massive fight.”

Ngannou knows what fighting Jones would do for his career, and he also knows what a win would mean for Jones’ legacy. Having said that, Ngannou is anticipating a deal to get done sooner rather than later.

“He’s been around so long and been champ for a long time so I think this might be the biggest fight of his career and mine,” he said. “I think he wants to put something like this on his legacy, on his resume. I truly believe that he wants this fight to happen.”

White has always been particular about the way he likes to negotiate, so it could be a while before the fight happens. Hopefully, everyone stays the course, and nothing falls through the cracks.

The Notorious B.I.G’s Hubcap From Car He Was Shot In Is On Sale

Auction houses across America have found an increasing value in rare hip-hop memorabilia. Just last week, an autographed Jay-Z trading card was sold for $105K. Last year, Biggie Smalls and Tupac Shakur had some of their own personal items fetch for thousands of dollars. ‘Pac’s handwritten love letters and a $6 crown Biggie Smalls wore during his final photo shoot were both acquired by Sotheby.

According to TMZ, the latest item of the late Biggie Smalls to be put up for auction is one of the four hubcaps of the vehicle he was in when he was fatally shot. Moments In Time are brokering the sale of the item from the GMC Suburban that the rapper was riding in when he was gunned down.

As the story goes, the hubcap was originally obtained by the seller from one of Biggie’s friends who owned the rental vehicle. Though it’s been in the seller’s possession for years, it wasn’t until recently that they decided to sell it. The single hubcap is being sold for $150K. The hubcap still includes a promotional sticker from Life After Death which read, “THINK B.I.G. MARCH 25 1997” — the release date of the album.

Biggie’s death remains unsolved and is still an open case. Earlier this month, Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace, spoke to EW where she expressed her hope that she will one day find justice for her son’s murder. “I’ll never give up. And I hope when I’m not in this world anymore, my friends and family will carry on the fight. There is always hope,” she said during a promotional run for Netflix’s Biggie: I Have A Story To Tell.

A Fox News Anchor Condemned Nike For Lil Nas X ‘Satan Shoes’ And Got Checked By His Colleague

Lil Nas X’s collaborator on those controversial “Satan shoes,” MSCHF, is living up to its name. The design collective’s marketing for the customized Air Max 97 has certainly riled up a fair number of commentators, including Fox News’ Pete Hegseth. The Fox & Friends anchor bit the bait hard, censuring Nike over the shoes and making a false equivalence to a planned pair of Air Max 1s that was discontinued and recalled by the shoe giant over its use of the original, 13-star version of the American flag.

Of course, Hegseth missed the part where Nike wasn’t directly involved in the creation of MSCHF’s limited-edition pair and was promptly fact-checked by none other than Adam Klotz, the show’s weekend meteorologist. He pointed out that “they’re not really Nike. They’re Nike shoes, but there’s a middleman who bought Nike shoes and turned them into these.” To save face, Hegseth posited that the manufacturer could file a lawsuit against the customizer, which … no, man. Just, no.

As far as the story behind those Betsy Ross Air Max 1 goes, those were discontinued by the brand itself after Colin Kaepernick, one of Nike’s most prominent spokespeople, reached out to the company’s leadership with concerns about the old flag’s repurposed connotations. He wasn’t the only one; users on social media also called on Nike to reconsider the design, pointing out how its behind appropriated by some white supremacist groups due to its connection to the nation’s early history when slavery was still legal.

Meanwhile, Nike had just taken flak from conservative groups, including Fox News, over partnering with Kaepernick after his protest of the national anthem at football games. In both cases of conservative backlash, the targets of their complaints would appear to be the victors; not only did Nike boast a 4% sales increase in 2019, Lil Nas X’s customized sneakers sold out within a minute of going on sale.

Jason Statham Shoots Post Malone In A New ‘Wrath Of Man’ Trailer

As Post Malone has become a bigger and bigger star in the music world, he has gradually been increasing his profile in the cinematic realm as well. Last year, he had a role in the Mark Wahlberg film Spenser Confidential, in which he had to opportunity to engage in fisticuffs with Marky Mark. Now he’s in another movie, and yet again, he squaring off against the leading man. Even just based on the new trailer for the Jason Statham-starring Wrath Of Man, it seems clear that Malone’s character doesn’t last too long.

In the film, Statham works for a company that uses armored trucks to transport large quantities of money. In a scene from the trailer, Malone is part of a crew trying to pull off a heist on one of these vehicles. Statham does his action star thing and kills everybody involved. It seem Malone gets away temporarily, only for Statham to track him down, shoot him from behind, then put one more bullet in him as he lays on the ground.

Malone filmed his parts in 2019, as photos of him on set surfaced around then, seemingly filming the scene depicted in the new trailer.

Deshaun Watson’s Alleged Behavior Detailed By Massage Therapist

Deshaun Watson is currently being sued by 19 women for allegedly sexually assaulting them during massages he received while in Houston. Attorney Tony Buzbee is representing all of the women in these lawsuits and they all have similar stories of how Watson booked them for massages and then started to get sexually inappropriate and even did heinous acts without any consent.

In a new story from Sports Illustrated, the publication got to speak with a woman named Mary, who has her very own massage therapist business in Houston. The woman is not one of the people suing Watson, although she did go in-depth on her experience and what Watson did while they were in the room together.

As Mary explains, while Watson did not physically harm her, he did act inappropriately on numerous occasions throughout the massage. For instance, at one point, he completely took off his towel covering while laying on his back, as he reportedly felt itchy. From there, he developed an erection during the massage, which the therapist said is actually normal. However, Watson began to thrust up and down, which Mary felt was suspicious. From there, Watson calmed down but had at one point said she could move his penis if she needed to. Despite ignoring him, Watson began to thrust even more and reportedly had some sort of fluid on his stomach, which horrified Mary.

After the massage, Mary spoke about what happened to her colleagues, who were grossed out by it all. Over the course of the next few months, Watson continued to message her to book an appointment, although she made sure to tell him that she was too busy. As she told SI, she has no interest in money, but she does want to see Watson change his behavior before he harms any more therapists.

These are some heavy allegations and they match up with a lot of what the other women are saying. Of course, these are only allegations, and an investigation is ongoing. At this moment, Watson has denied all wrongdoing.

Mak Sauce & Lil Baby Get Straight To Business On “Camo”

Atlanta is a city that’s produced some of hip-hop’s most left-field individuals such as Young Thug and Andre 3000. It seems that Mak Sauce is from the lineage of those two artists who have proven success in thinking outside of the box, both sonically and visually. Mak Sauce’s prolific output in the past few years have included major collabs alongside heavy-hitters like DaBaby, Lil Yachty, and NLE Choppa.

This week, the rapper returned with a brand new single to add to his list of major collabs. This time, he taps Lil Baby for their brand new collaboration, “Camo.” Bricks On Da Beat handles the chilling production before Lil Baby and Mak Sauce detail the volatility of the street life.

“Camo” serves as the first single off of Mak Sauce’s forthcoming project, MALIK.

NBA Reveals This Year’s Draft Date and Lottery Time

This year’s NBA season is a bit different due to COVID-19. The typical campaign would start in October and would last all the way until early-mid June. With the pandemic raging on, the NBA was forced to start the season in late December, and now, the playoffs won’t be starting until May. With this in mind, the playoffs are now going to be finishing up in July, just before the Summer Games in Tokyo, Japan.

This has forced the NBA to tinker with its normal NBA Draft schedule, although today, that schedule was unveiled. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the NBA Draft Lottery will go down on June 22nd, while the actual draft will be July 29th. As for the combine, that will be a week-long event from June 21st-27th.

There are going to be some big names in the draft this year and teams with poor finishes in the regular season will be hoping for some luck in the lottery come June. Teams like the Minnesota Timberwolves and New Orleans Pelicans have benefitted from the lottery system in the past, and only time will tell who gets the first pick in 2021. Perhaps the T-Wolves have a chance at repeating.

Cardi B Left Confused After She’s Dragged Into Lil Nas X’s Satan Debacle

The release of Lil Nas X’s latest music video for “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” set the Internet ablaze, along with its accompanying sneaker release. The Satanic imagery sent Conservative pundits (and Joyner Lucas) on a downward spiral as they dwelled on the future of the youth and upholding traditional values.

In the midst of all of this happening, right-wing agent Candace Owens somehow managed to drag Cardi B into the mix. It was only a few weeks ago when Candace took issue with songs like “WAP” and “Up” and her concerns with what they’ll do the future of young women. This time, she used the death of George Floyd, Cardi B’s honesty, and Lil Nas X’s Satanic imagery as the real reason “that’s keeping Black America behind” — not white supremacy. Along with Owens, Twitter provocateur Matt Walsh claimed it was Cardi B and Lil Nas X that’s pushing young kids towards a life of criminality.

Cardi B has always been open about her religious beliefs in the past so she found it quite confusing why the imagery of Satan and hell was comparable to her confidence as a woman. “Don’t confuse and compare my sexual confidence with anything that has to do with religion.Ya keep putting me in these tweets and I don’t play that shit .I have very strong faith in God and I don’t play with him neither,” she wrote, adding, “Leave me then fuck alone!”

After a fan claimed that she practices Santaria, to which she replied, “Learn people religion you uncultured swine before you get them confused.”

“My issue is Every time a celebrity facing backlash or some dumb shit like the Dr Seuss & Pepe la peu shit happened people always gotta bring my fuckin name up & shit don’t be having nothing to do wit me .Like .SHIT DONT MAKE SENSE,” she added. Check her tweets below.
