Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Florida Home Raided By IRS

After several run-ins with the law, troubled rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine’s home in Florida was raided by federal agents and they even seized some of the “Gummo” rapper’s vehicles, according to reports.

The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 6ix9ine’s home  in Lake Worth, FL yesterday(April 17) to assist the IRS in their operation.

Eyewitnesses say that they saw the IRS seized several items from the residence while they talked with other people who were present. Tekashi was not home during the raid. Photos have confirmed that the IRS confiscated two vehicles from the property.

Tekashi is still dealing with legal issues in the Dominican Republic for an alleged assault, which is why he wasn’t home during the raid. Tekashi’s attorney offered up a statement about the incident, saying, “We are assessing the situation and will issue a statement at the appropriate time.”

GloRilla’s recent arrest for driving under the influence might have some fans worried about her future on “Wanna Be” collaborator Megan Thee Stallion’s upcoming tour, but there is one person who seemed delighted by the news. Kay’La Lillard, NBA star Damian Lillard’s ex-wife, joked about the arrest on Instagram, posting a report from The Shade Room into her Instagram Story, and including the caption “Free GloLillard.” She also threw in the hashtag, “#sisterwife.”

Her jokes stem from the recent NBA All-Star Game this past February, where Glo got a few photos with Dame. She later posted them on her Twitter page (I am never going to call it “X,” not sorry), taking the opportunity to shoot her own shot. ““Who n**** dis is?” she wrote. “Cause I want him #GetEmGlo.” In a later tweet, she trolled, ““Whoever she is can’t whoop me so I really dgaf.” While Dame and Kay’La filed for divorce in October 2023, just after Dame was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks, it seems she didn’t appreciate Glo’s comments — or like most people, just found them hilarious.

Meanwhile, when Shannon Sharpe asked Glo if anything happened between her and Damian on his show Club Shay Shay, she played coy. “The halfcourt shot?” she mused, falling back on her now-infamous catchphrase. “You know, at the end of the day, the day gon’ end.”

It turns out that Eminem‘s memorable “Stan” music video reportedly almost had a different lead actor.

Devon Sawa, who starred in it, did a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight where he revealed that directors Dr. Dre and Philip Atwell were aiming for another child star — but it didn’t work out.

“Full disclosure: they went out to Macaulay Culkin first, I believe,” Sawa said. “I think that they wanted him, and he wasn’t available, or didn’t want to do it or whatever.”

“Then Dre, who had just seen Final Destination and was a fan, suggested [me],” he added. “There happened to be somebody in the casting office that knew somebody who was friends with me, and they called me that way… and it ended up working out pretty good.”

Looking back on it, it seems wild to picture the Home Alone star playing a character that idolized and imitated Eminem in 2000. However, when Entertainment Tonight reached out to Culkin and Eminem’s representatives, they didn’t return a comment to confirm.

Although the part could’ve gone to someone else, Sawa did point out just how lucky he still feels to have been selected. “It’s also one of the proudest things I’ve been a part of,” he shared. “I’ll tell you one thing, I know it better now than I did that day. Because I’ve heard it millions of times since.”

Jimmy Butler Feared To Have Suffered A Major Injury Against Joel Embiid & The Sixers

Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat fell to the Philadelphia 76ers and Joel Embiid last night in the NBA play-in tournament. Butler suffered a painful-looking injury at the end of the first quarter but miraculously played the rest of the game. He was obviously hampered by the injury and unable to affect the game. Despite his injury, the Heat almost beat the Sixers, losing 105 – 104 in a close game. The Sixers secured a playoff spot and will face the New York Knicks. The Miami Heat will face the Chicago Bulls on Friday for the final playoff spot in the east.

The Heat struggle offensively, and scoring the basketball will only be harder without Butler. The Heat had success early against Embiid, and the Sixers played fantastic defense. Particularly, they deployed a zone that confused and caused some bad turnovers from Embiid, who is still getting up to speed after being injured. It is still possible for the Heat to make the playoffs. it will be tough against the Chicago Bulls, who beat the Atlanta Hawks 131-116.

Jimmy Butler Is Out Indefinitely After an MCL Injury

Jimmy Butler is feared to have sustained an MCL injury last night. Butler was writhing in pain at the end of the first quarter. It looked like he would definitely have to leave the game, but he played the rest of the game. It’s very on-brand for Butler, whose whole persona is that he is built differently and played through such an injury. But that toughness may have made the injury worse, and now he will not only miss the final play-in game on Friday but will be out for multiple weeks.

The Heat have a tough task ahead of them. They will play the Bulls on Friday, who defeated the Hawks last night. The Bulls were led by an incredible performance from Coby White. White finished the game with 42 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists. The Heat struggle to put points on the board, and they are going to face a team that just scored 131 points. Jimmy Butler will be sidelined indefinitely. The Heat might beat the Bulls and make the playoffs. But Butler will likely not be available for the first-round matchup against the Celtics.

Caitlin Clark smartly rolled her eyes at the situation and blocked Antonio Brown. Antonio Brown is no stranger to getting blocked. Tom Brady has blocked his former teammate for his behavior online. President Joe Biden has exercised the block button on Brown. NFL Player Damar Hamlin has also recently had to block brown after an online altercation. Despite spending nearly nine years of his ten-year sentence in New York prisons, Moses “Shyne” Barrow has come out the other side a far more confident man. Now a politician in Belize, the 45-year-old works as the Leader of the Opposition in the country’s House of Representatives as well as the leader of the United Democratic Party. Rather than staying stuck in the past after the 1999 nightclub shooting that put him away, Barrow is doing everything he can to move forward. Unfortunately, this is growing difficult now that the case is resurfacing in the news lately.

Shyne didn’t shoot a woman over two decades ago. Instead, he took the blame for Diddy. Some say that Jennifer Lopez lied under oath for her former lover during the case and that she carried his gun at the venue. For the most part, the political leader has kept quiet about the case, though he did have a lot to say in a new interview. “I’ve done my best to put it behind me and to move forward.  But it certainly reopens the wounds that I’ve been saying this all along, everyone knew all along that I was the fall guy,” the former Bad Boy artist said, as per Channel 5 Belize.

“I’m just saying that I maintained my innocence all this time.  I said I was defending myself, I didn’t get into who did what, but the victim is telling you who did what and I understand that there are other witnesses,” Shyne continued, though he didn’t want to discuss the details too in depth. “I am relieved that people are saying what the truth is, that I did not shoot those people; I maintain that I never shoot nobody, that there were other guns there.  I’ve always said that, that has not changed and that is the testimony that came out,” the ex-prisoner said before thanking Diddy for his contributions to the people of Belize.

“I wish him well and I pray for him, and I pray for the alleged victims and if it is true, may justice be served and if it’s not, it’s a tragedy because a global icon would have been destroyed,” Shyne added. The cries of condemnation against Diddy have been far louder than those supporting him at this time. Still, some artists and industry executives have done their best to help clear the embattled star’s name, such as Tyrese and Slim Thug. Nas & DJ Premier Excite Fans With Another Possible Collab Album Tease

Arguably the greatest hip-hop album of all time, Nas’ Illmatic, turns 30 years old tomorrow (Friday, April 19), and to start celebrating the occasion, it seems like the Queens legend is reminiscing on the moment with one of the people that helped make the album the golden standard that it is for rap music. Moreover, he shared an Instagram post on Wednesday (April 17) that featured a photo with DJ Premier in the ’90s, and a picture of them right now. “Then v.s Now. What if…” the “One Time 4 Your Mind” MC captioned the post, and those last two words really got fans thinking that their mythical collab album might still arrive.

Furthermore, for those unaware, a team-up for a full LP’s been on the cards for Esco and Preemo since at least 2007, if going off of recorded history. A Scratch interview saw them mention it, but nothing else has manifested since then other than occasional teases and promises that it will (or could) still happen. However, the most recent tease about this DJ Premier joint project came on Nas’ “30” off of his King’s Disease III album, which was ironically a collaborative effort with another producer, Hit-Boy. “Superhero material, rap star status / Premier album still might happen,” he spits on the song.

Nas Hints At DJ Premier Collab Album, Fans Think

Going back to Illmatic, which contains some of DJ Premier’s most legendary beats for Nas, the latter recently reflected on this time of his life in a recent IG post. “Grainy pictures for grainy times,” he captioned about the pictures in the post. “I had a dream I could get my favorite producers to produce on my debut album. I knew exactly what I wanted and how it should be. But I didn’t know anyone except for Paul, so I asked him would he connect me to them all. The cool soul brother that he is helped me line it up.

“On April 19th we smashed s**t,” the 50-year-old continued. “Even tho the album leaked months before the release date we still are apart of music history. Thank you Large Professor (Paul) and Dj Premier who drove into the projects to pick me up a time or two. Qtip , Pete Rock , and my man from The Bridge DJ LES, and my guy AZ who was just coming up himself. And thank you to everyone involved. Gillie Da Kid Calls Out Kendrick Lamar & J Cole For “Corny” Diss Tracks

It’s no secret that Kendrick Lamar’s “Like That” verse brought about a great deal of drama, but according to Gillie Da Kid, he hardly scratched the surface. When the song first dropped last month, listeners were quick to note that the Compton-born performer took shots and Drake and J Cole, and were eager to hear how they’d respond. Weeks later, J Cole fired back with a diss track on his surprise album Might Delete Later, “7 Minute Drill.” Ultimately, however, he apologized and removed the song from streaming services. Last week, Drake’s response “Push Ups” leaked, reigniting all the chatter around the feud.

During a recent episode of Shaq’s The Big Podcast, Gillie Da Kid weighed in on the debacle, arguing that Kendrick’s verse wasn’t all that wild. Moreover, he doesn’t even believe it should be considered a diss track at all. He says that in his day, Kendrick’s infamous “big three” line would be deemed “corny” at best.

Gillie Thinks Kendrick & J Cole Were Too “Friendly” In Their Diss Tracks

“Let’s just be honest, bro, that’s not no diss record,” he began. “If that’s a diss record, that’s corny sh*t. The last time I checked, diss records went like this: ‘First off, f*ck your b*tch and the clique you claim….’” Gillie went on to quote other iconic diss tracks, emphasizing how their lyrics were far harsher than both Kendrick and Cole’s. “What is we talking about man? Diss records used to be like, “F*ck you, buddy….’ We’re living in a friendly culture, man.”

While plenty of commenters agree with Gillie’s take, others much prefer this version of rap beef, as it’s less likely to lead to violence. Diddy’s Ex Daphne Joy Poses For Bikini Photoshoot Amid Lawsuit Allegations

It’s been a turbulent time recently for both legendary rap mogul Diddy and almost everyone else in his orbit. That included Daphne Joy, who was named in a lawsuit that also discussed Meek Mill, Yung Miami, and more. Joy in particular was accused of essentially being a sex worker for Combs. Those allegations got far more serious when it was revealed that he was under investigation by the federal government for allegations of sex trafficking. Two of his properties were raided and his private jet was intercepted last month.

But Daphne Joy isn’t letting the allegations against Diddy or herself slow her down. Earlier this week she was in Los Angeles showing quite a bit of skin for a photo shoot. She was spotted with a black bikini paired with a black maxi skirt. Unsurprisingly the skirt doesn’t do a particularly good job of covering up much of anything. Daphne Joy Continues Modeling Despite Diddy Allegations

After Joy was named in Lil Rod’s lawsuit against Diddy, 50 Cent unsurprisingly had a lot to say. 50 has been posting about the rap mogul almost every day dating all the way back to Cassie’s first lawsuit filed against him in November. He continued berating her for weeks even into April as he was still posting about her earlier this month.

Some fans online and even some members of the rap media space have started to believe the Lil Rod lawsuit may not be true. The more additions he made the more bizarre claims emerged, many of which were completely unnecessary to prove the accusations he leveled against Diddy.
