Lil Reese Mourns Sister On Instagram

Amid the holiday season and brand new music from him, it seems like Lil Reese recently faced a horrible tragedy. Moreover, he took to Instagram to share that he apparently lost his sister recently, and it’s unclear what the cause or circumstance of this is as of writing this article. The Chicago rapper did not share any further details, simply two pictures of her on his IG Story commemorating her memory for now. “Just lost my sister I’m so hurt,” he wrote as the first picture’s caption along with a broken heart emoji. “Love you 4eva,” the 30-year-old added on his other picture’s post.

Furthermore, this is particularly sad because of all that there was to celebrate these days when it comes to his life and career. For one, it’s the holiday season, which means many folks are spending time with their families and coming together after what might’ve been a long time without seeing each other. In addition, Lil Reese has been steadily dropping new music as of late, such as the single “IDK.” As such, it’s disheartening to hear that his sister apparently won’t be there to celebrate the success with him.

Lil Reese Shares Loss Of His Sister

As Lil Reese has explained before, he has a lot of respect for those lost, something that was evident in his response to someone apparently pouring lean into Fredo Santana’s casket. “I seen that goofy a** s**t,” he said on No Jumper. “I don’t know who was doing that. No, hell no, I won’t do no goofy a** s**t like that. Nah, Sosa ain’t do that. Sosa ain’t gonna do nothing like that. Yeah, I don’t respect that s**t. I seen that s**t, I don’t respect that s**t though. I used to be doing [lean] with Fredo. That s**t started making me feel a little funny.”

Meanwhile, as other conflicts and struggles in the drill MC’s life continue, we hope he finds the space and energy to heal and rise above them. This is a very tough situation to deal with, especially contrasted with this season. Rest In Peace to Lil Reese’s sister, and our condolences to their family. Lil Reese Follows Up “Demon Time” Special Editions With Solo Effort “Ask About Me”

Lil Reese has not had the easiest life. Part of the reason for that is due to the fact that some of it was self-inflicted. For example, earlier this year, the Chicago rapper was released from prison after assault charges. Additionally, he faced a misdemeanor charge of aggravated assault against a family member last May. Furthermor, the prison records revealed two more felonies and an additional misdemeanor.

While he is not perfect, Reese is trying to better himself and get back into releasing music. Today, he has returned with a full-length project before the end of the year. Ask About Me is a follow-up to his 2022 tape, Demon Time. Before this new effort, two extra editions of the latter were put out too. One of them was an instrumental version and then a chopped and screwed take on it.

Listen To Ask About Me By Lil Reese And ATG Productions

What these past two projects share in common are the production credits. There is a Detroit up-and-coming beatmaker by the name of ATG Productions. One of the best elements of Reese’s tapes have been the instrumentals. The bassy and grimy trap tinges compliment the rapper’s equally gritty delivery. You can check out the tape above.

Lil Reese Announces 'Ask About Me' Album, Drops "What Happened" Video

Lil Reese has announced his upcoming collaborative album, Ask About Me, with emerging Detroit producer The ATG. Accompanying the announcement is the release of a video single titled “What Happened,” available through Kyyba Music.

Known for his raw lyricism and gritty delivery, Lil Reese’s Ask About Me delves into street narratives with unfiltered storytelling. Teaming up with The ATG, the album blends Reese’s hushed vocals with symphonic production that draws inspiration from Atlanta trap music and resonant pianos paying homage to Detroit.

Scheduled for release on Dec. 13, Ask About Me follows Lil Reese’s previous project, “Demon Time,” from last year.

The video single, “What Happened,” provides a glimpse into the forthcoming album. Backed by dynamic piano production by The ATG, the track serves as a straightforward “no snitching” anthem. Lil Reese, well-versed in the code of silence (omertà), emphatically states his commitment to not becoming an informant.

Fans can anticipate more hard-hitting tracks and immersive storytelling when “Ask About Me” drops next month, showcasing Lil Reese’s prowess in the rap game.

Lil Reese Responds To Reports That He Got Shot

Every once in a while in the rap game, some blog page or social media user will light a fire under everyone with a baseless claim that takes an inch and runs a mile with it. Most recently, this happened to Lil Reese, as rumors swirled around the Internet that someone shot him. This led to media outlets like DJ Akademiks reporting that assailants shot him six times, and obviously his team started reaching out. One associate of his, fellow rapper Kayla B, took to Instagram to share screenshots of direct messages with the Chicago MC. In them, he confirmed that this speculation is entirely fake, and that he’s doing well right now.

Furthermore, Lil Reese also asked for screenshots of what blog pages started to spread this news around. It seems like he wants to get to the bottom of this and understand why these rumors manifested in the first place. Regardless, one can’t necessarily blame fans for assuming the worst in this situation considering past events. After all, the drill artist recently spoke to Adam22 of No Jumper about a previous 2021 shooting that almost took his life.

Unfortunately, these brushes with death have been all too common in his everyday goings-on, whether due to his relationships in the game or his proximity to hardened street life in Chicago. With this in mind, the dismissal of this fake news is heartening, as we’ve sadly seen more examples of bad news than good news. His upbringing exposed him to street life early on, and it’s been a tough thing to tackle and balance ever since. Still, at least the 30-year-old has his career as a saving grace that can keep him distant, at least some times.

Meanwhile, it’s fortunate that this news became much more positive, and that rumors resulted false. What do you think about this sort of thing happening to artists often, who find out speculation about them once people go into a social media frenzy? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. Also, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Reese.

Lil Reese Lashes Out At Adam22: “Why You Steady Having People Bring Up Old S**t That’s Not True?”

No Jumper has amassed a dedicated fanbase since its inception. Still, that doesn’t mean everyone who tunes into the platform’s content is impressed. For the most part, it’s one of the show’s hosts, Adam22, that has a polarizing impact on viewers. The podcaster has previously been called out for asking uncomfortable questions. Earlier this summer, his wife’s sex tape with Blacked actor Jason Luv brought him plenty of backlash. Nevertheless, Adam continues to move forward with his head held high. He even maintained his composure while being attacked by Lil Reese in a recent episode.

“Lil Reese, how you doing?” the host asked the Chicago rapper when he called into No Jumper earlier this week. “Man, I don’t f**k with Adam22,” Reese responded. “Why you don’t f**k with me?!” the OnlyFans creator asked after a moment of laughter. “Bro, ‘cuz you be doin’ too much on your platforms with my name, bro,” the 30-year-old clarified. “Why you steady having people bring up old s**t that’s not true?” Reese wanted to know.

Rather than addressing the question about his journalistic integrity, Adam insisted that he defends Reese when his name comes up in conversation. “I was saying that I thought it was just the design on your Ethikas,” the embattled entertainer explained to the Supa S*vage 3 spitter. “Why they ain’t tell you I f**ked them up?” Reese asked from the other end of the phone, prompting more laughter from those listening in the No Jumper studio.

Lil Reese has found himself at odds with various hip-hop bloggers over the past few years, it seems. Back in 2019, he put VladTV‘s DJ Vlad on blast in a scathing rant, calling the media personality a “b**ch,” among other things. Read everything that Reese had to say at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Lil Reese Explains The Difference Between Him & 6ix9ine Getting Jumped

During a recent interview, Lil Reese broke down what makes his incident of getting jumped way different than 6ix9ine’s. While the rainbow-haired provocateur is dropping a lot of new music as of late, the shadow of that attack still looms over his current pop culture presence. Moreover, it’s a news story that people keep talking about and commenting on, whether within or outside of the industry. As such, the Chicago MC explained that there’s a difference between each case, which is made more ironic by the fact that the New York rapper made fun of Reese for getting jumped back in the day.

“S**t, I was like ‘Damn,’ ’cause he was making fun of me when I got jumped,” Lil Reese remarked of 6ix9ine’s beatdown. “But I ain’t get jumped like how he got jumped. I got jumped on some… N***as was scared to fight me one-on-one. Grabbin’ me, trying to stop me from going to the car to go get my move. He got whooped. Like, his a** got beat bad, so he got jumped jumped. I ain’t get jumped. N***as was stopping me, holding on me, grabbing on me from going to go grab something for their a**.”

Lil Reese Speaks On 6ix9ine Attack

Of course, the beef between these two persists, even though Lil Reese held back on more disrespectful views on 6ix9ine’s assault. “I love going to, you know, restaurants and not have to say, ‘Oh, I’ll wait for the security team,’” the “WAPAE” artist stated. “I’ll just go do it. For me, it was tough to watch because it was so unexpected… It’s cowardly. I think it was cowardly, I think it was opportunistic. But again, I’m not mad because I know that, in the streets, there’s no rules. I’m lost for words because you can’t blame them. They saw an opportunity and they took it.

“I think life just keeps going,” he added. “I can capitalize off of anything. I’m that talented, I don’t need to get beat up to sell a record.” However you may feel about the different situations, it’s clear that both artists won’t let it define them. Lil Reese Recalls Stealing Bikes With King Von To “Terrorize” 63rd

Following his release from prison, Lil Reese unloaded plenty of tales about the Chicago streets during his recent interview with Cam Capone News, where he shared untold stories about Chief Keef, Lil Durk, and King Von. In one clip, the Supa Savage 3 rapper explained how he got Lil Durk to join him in an attempt to rob someone from a dice game. As he planned the robbery, he asked Durk knowing that no one else would’ve helped him. And while they successfully went through with getting Reese’s money back from the dice game, they eventually had to hand it over after a big homie intervened.

However, King Von became a major point in Reese’s recent interview. At one point, he detailed how he, along with Von and the late Fredo Santana, once stole a bike. The interviewer recalled a story he heard about DJ Univercity claiming that Reese once stole his bicycle. Though the Chicago rapper denied knowing the DJ, he explained that it’s likely true because he and his friends got into many mischievous acts when they grew up in the South Side Of Chicago.

DJ Univercity Responds To Lil Reese & King Von

Reese said that much of his time in the street began with a petty crime like stealing bikes. “I used to take n***as bikes back then… All them n***as from 63rd, we used to go down on they block and beat them up and take they bikes, real shit. Catch them on the bus and up guns on them and shit. We used to torture them boys,” he explained. “Fredo was out there with us. Von was out there. T-Roy was out there. A lot of n***as was out there that’s still around. Basically.”

Though he doesn’t seem too remorseful about the scenario, DJ Univercity reacted to the confirmation that Reese and Von jacked him for his bike. “My grandma gave me that bike @reesemoney300 [red angry face emoji],” he posted on his Instagram page. Reese has yet to respond to Univercity’s post but he clearly looks back at those moments fondly.
