DC The Don Reaches “GOD LEVEL” On New Single: Stream

After his last project 2012, it seems like DC The Don is already gearing up for his next big move with a more aggressive and industrial direction. Sure, he’s always played with rage sounds and more bombastic trap and hip-hop, but his new single “GOD LEVEL” plays further into that. Buzzing kicks and bass hits, screeching synths, warbled vocal effects, and primally percussive flows mix together to create quite the dramatic and moshpit-ready banger.

Furthermore, this follows more introspective, reflective, and moody fare from DC The Don as of late, such as his recent midwxst collab single “FIRE.” Also, fans got a lot of highly anticipated and fan-favorite throwaways on the SACRED HEART 2 (+) mixtape. As such, many of his sounds and different approaches are mixing together this year and complementing each other, which makes this more harsh and experimental direction for his artistry all the more exciting and compelling. Hopefully there’s more where this came from, as there’s a lot of potential here to make this sound and style even more captivating.

Meanwhile, the “BACKSTAGE” rapper is still engaging with fans and keeping them alert with new updates, so we’ll see how much longer we have to wait for a new project. If you haven’t heard DC The Don’s “GOD LEVEL” yet, find it on your preferred streaming service or check it out on YouTube below. Down there, you can also find some notable lines from the cut and the comments section for you to leave your thoughts on the single. Halle Bailey Continues To Deliver On “Because I Love You”

It’s already been a huge year for Halle Bailey, and fans are glad to see that she only continues to deliver. The 24-year-old songstress is in her solo bag these days, and while she hopped on her sister Chloe’s Trouble In Paradise track “Want Me” earlier this month, her latest release is all her. On Friday, she unveiled “Because I Love You,” a lighthearted single about being with the one you love.

”’Because I Love You’ is a song for anyone who has been deeply in love,” Halle says of the track. “It’s an anthem that tells the story of all of the beautiful passion and euphoria you can feel with that person.” The song arrived alongside a playful and cinematic accompanying music video, which showcases some of the ups and downs that come with being head over heels for someone, as well as the various different sides it can bring out in a person. One version of Halle is seen dining headfirst onto a windshield to get closer to her man, gets jealous when she catches him staring at herself, and more.

Clearly, Halle had fun with the concept and let her creativity shine through, and fans can’t wait to hear what else she has up her sleeve. What do you think of Halle Bailey’s new single? Will you be adding “Because I Love You” to your playlist or not? Share your thoughts in the comments section and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates. Check out the music video down below.

Tommy Richman & Kehlani Shine Bright On Our New “R&B Season” Playlist Update: Stream

Fall is officially upon us, and we have some fresh and exciting new music releases to round up on our latest R&B Season update. First up is the new project from Kehlani, following up her previous album this year with the anticipatory and vibe-filled While We Wait 2. If you’re looking for a particular highlight from this new record to get you started, we’d recommend “When He’s Not There” featuring Lucky Daye. Elsewhere, we also wanted to highlight the newest single from one of this year’s breakout stars: Tommy Richman’s “THOUGHT YOU WERE THE ONE.” It’s a more melancholy and dramatic take on the formula that shot him up into superstardom on “MILLION DOLLAR BABY.”

Also on our R&B Season playlist update is the new single from Victoria Monét and Usher, “SOS (Sex On Sight).” If you’re in the need of more ’90s or 2000s-style R&B jams, then this classic and soulful take is exactly up your alley. However, there are plenty of other artists that could be characterized with this genre that aren’t only fusing it with many other sounds, but aren’t always making R&B in any way. One example is Fousheé, whose excellent new single “100 bux” is more of a guitar-led alternative jam.

Back to more traditional R&B vibes, though: Muni Long came through with her new album Revenge, and there are many songs that live up to this title. For example, “The Baddest” speaks on a tough relationship and on toxicity with a drama-filled string and snap beat, plus some ethereal vocal runs. Another mention on this playlist update is Mustafa’s new single ahead of his next album. The track is titled “Old Life,” and there’s a very palpable sense of nostalgia and tenderness that is captivating to witness.

Finally, we’d be remiss not to mention Freddie Gibbs’ remix of Leon Thomas’ “MUTT.” If you were already a fan of this bop, then the charismatic and fast-flowing Freddie verse just makes it all the more funky and vibrant. Let us know what your favorite R&B Season inclusion was this week, as well as what else we missed, down in the comments section below. Check the playlist out above and, as always, stick around on HNHH for the latest amazing music releases around the clock.

Usher Gets Outshined By His Own Fan After Letting Her Perform During His Tour Stop

Usher’s recent live shows, residencies, and tour stops have all been nothing short of extravagantly impressive, and with plenty of viral moments to promote them, too. He definitely adopted a “Mr. Steal Your Girl” moniker from many of these, but it’s all been in great fun and with a lot of showmanship and charisma to show folks a good time without taking things too far. The singer is very confident in his ability to control these energies. If you need proof of that, look no further than this latest clip. While going through a group of fans in the crowd, a woman goes up to him and says, “Give me that mic!”

Then, Usher looks back at her with a puzzled look as she grabs the microphone, but as soon as she starts singing, he just looks impressed, leaves the mic in her hands, and sits with some other fans in the stand as the woman performed. Germaine, known on IG as @thegclassbygermaine, belted out “There Goes My Baby” during this “Past Present Future” tour stop. Fans cheered for her around the arena, and it was overall one of many other heartening (but also kind of confusing) moments to witness during these concerts.

Usher Fan Steals The Show During Tour Stop

Furthermore, the confusion comes form whether or not Usher and his team scripted or anticipated this, but in any case, everyone handled it very well. After all, this is the kind of situation that gets other concert-goers tackled if he hadn’t been so graceful with his reaction. Nevertheless, the “SOS” multi-hyphenate has many more shows to go through, and we’re sure that there will be plenty of other viral fan interactions to witness. Let’s just hope that not too many people try to follow Germaine’s lead, since that could be pretty hectic to handle.

Jokes aside, Usher is actually quite the madman for embarking on this “Past Present Future” tour. Not even a serious neck injury could change his plans, and his time onstage has been absolutely overwhelming in 2024. How can someone keep it together so consistently? Well, that’s what the fans are for sometimes: just hand the mic over, take a rest, and give someone else their time in the spotlight.

Wack 100 Trolls Meek Mill With Clip Of Diddy Calling Him “Daddy”

Earlier this weekend, Meek Mill took to X to call out Wack 100, accusing him of not being who he says he is. The rapper shared a clip of a man insisting that Wack isn’t a “real Piru” despite his claims. “Never been to a support the hood day… Nobody can verify where you came from … Talking a lot on clubhouse.. yeah he in a program forsure for sure!” Meek wrote. “Online with with fake extortion stories speaking on killing a famous person lol.”

From there, Meek shared a clip of Wack 100 and Luce Cannon on No Jumper, suggesting that they weren’t telling the truth. While it remains unclear exactly why Meek Mill decided to call Wack out like this, he wasted no time firing back.

Meek Mill Puts Wack 100 On Blast

Today, Wack took to Instagram to share a clip of Diddy approaching Meek Mill in a pool and calling him “Daddy.” His post also featured shocking audio rumored to feature both of them, though this is unconfirmed. “@meekmill please explain ‼Guess this was ya hood day 😂#Diddy get ya mans,” he captioned the post. Of course, Wack has been trolling Meek since fans began to speculate that he’s named in Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones’ lawsuit against Diddy. In the suit, Lil Rod alleges that Diddy had a sexual relationship with a “Philadelphia rapper who dated Nicki Minaj.”

Meek Mill denies this, and got into it with DJ Akademiks back in February for perpetuating these rumors. Wack sided with Ak, and went off on Meek for claiming the governor convinced him to delete some of his posts about the personality. “Man look kill the selective politics . @meekmill just say your a reformed civilian and keep all the STREET GANGSTA TOUGH SH!T OUT YA MOUTH,” he wrote at the time. What do you think of Meek Mill calling out Wack 100? What about Wack’s response? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

NLE Choppa Triples Down On LGBTQ+ Support By Announcing Black Pride Show In Atlanta

NLE Choppa’s staunch support of the LBGTQ+ community got him a lot of praise and gratitude, but also a lot of bigoted hate. If it isn’t from folks who have a problem with anything non-cisgender-heteronormative, then it’s from people assuming that he must be gay in order to take this stance. But as the Memphis rapper explained in a new video, he doesn’t care about people’s assumptions and will always advocate against their discriminatory behavior. He did so during his announcement of a performance in Atlanta for Black Pride today (Sunday, September 1) so go check him out if you’re in the area.

“Atlanta Black Pride September 1ST Im Live In Performance,” NLE Choppa captioned the social media video on Instagram. “THE BANK. 3120 DONALD LEE HOLLOWELL PKWY NW, ATLANTA,GA 30318.” “Um, if you a person that has had something to say about me over these last six months regarding if I’m gay or if I’m an f-bomb or if I’m this and if I’m that…” he said in the clip itself.

“Well, this might make you a little bit more mad or make you more infatuated with trying to come to a conclusion of who I am,” NLE Choppa continued. “When I tell y’all, that is who I is. But because I know who I am so deeply and [I’m] so appreciative of who I am, I will be doing my justice by, you know, coming to Atlanta for Black Pride Fest and showing love to the LGBTQ community for being one of the best of the audiences that’s been streaming ‘Slut Me Out 2.

“So the same way that they’re pouring love into me is the same way that I’m giving back love,” NLE Choppa continued. “And yeah, I’ma let y’all judge me again and say what y’all want to say about me. ‘Cause y’all are going to say what y’all are going to say regardless.” Regardless of what backlash might come his way, the “Slut SZN” merch entrepreneur is going to continue to support all his fans and fight back against discrimination and bigotry that affects the LBGTQ+ community today.
