TI Breaks His Silence On Recent Arrest

T.I. went through some legal turmoil recently, as authorities reportedly arrested him in what might be a case of mistaken identity. However, after TMZ caught up with him in Beverly Hills on Thursday (August 8), fans now know that he doesn’t feel too pressed about it. “They was just doing they job,” the Atlanta legend remarked to the interviewer about his brief run-in with the police. “Upset by it? I try to get rid of emotion and deal with the facts at hand. So once you deal with the facts at hand, your emotions ain’t involved. I don’t know, man, I mean, it sucks to say man. But at least this time, man, it was minor injury, maximum lesson learned. It’s all good. I have no interest in politics, y’all be good.”

“This case highlights a concern that the State’s Attorney has raised previously and uncovers legislative changes that should be considered to ensure fair and appropriate use of the court commissioner’s office, including allowing input from our prosecutors before an arrest warrant is issued,” a Baltimore State’s Attorney’s Office representative expressed concerning the T.I. case. “We are investigating the circumstances surrounding the issuance of charges and the warrant in this case.” There are still some doubts over whether this incident involved mistaken identity, though, as a woman accused him and Tiny of physical assault and harassment.

Speaking of T.I. and Tiny, the court recently dismissed a lawsuit against them alleging sexual assault. “The court agreed with Tip and Tameka that Jane Doe doesn’t appear to have any viable claims,” a spokesperson for the couple relayed to AllHipHop. “As Tip and Tameka stated three years ago, these allegations are some of the many false, salacious allegations [in] the media in a cheap attempt to extort money from them.”

“All the claims asserted in the Complaint are time-barred because the statute of limitations for such claims has long expired over sixteen years ago,” T.I. and Tiny’s attorneys posited. “Further, notwithstanding the fact that Defendants Clifford Harris (‘Mr. Harris’) and Tameka Harris (‘Mrs. Harris’) (collectively ‘Defendants’ or ‘Harrises’), deny that any of the alleged conduct even occurred, the Complaint fails to allege facts to sufficiently establish any of the claims alleged in the Complaint.”

Let’s get serious for a second, albeit artistically. NBCUniversal streaming platform Peacock just released the official trailer for its upcoming documentary “Gary”, which unpacks the life and legacy of Gary Coleman, who you recall was the beloved child star of hit sitcom “Diff’rent Strokes”, and the tragic circumstances surrounding his untimely death at age 42.

The project is directed by Robin Dashwood and produced by RAW, “Gary” explores Coleman’s meteoric rise to fame as the breakout star of the hit TV show “Diff’rent Strokes” and the struggles he faced in the years that followed. 

Get this, the premium documentary promises a comprehensive look at Coleman’s life, including his battles with depression and the controversies that emerged after his untimely death.

The official description reads like this: 

Gary follows the extraordinary story of Gary Coleman’s rise to international fame as the child star of “Diff’rent Strokes”; his struggles with fame; and the controversy surrounding his tragic death at the age of 42. For the first time, viewers will get insight into Coleman’s private world through exclusive interviews with his fellow actors, industry insiders, and his estranged ex-wife and parents.

This is a feature documentary, spanning 90 minutes, featuring never-before-seen interviews with people close to Coleman, including his “Diff’rent Strokes” co-star Todd Bridges, former managers, and members of his estranged family. These interviews aim to provide a deeper understanding of the challenges Coleman faced, both in the spotlight and in his personal life. Sounds like it will delve into some good, dark and very real experiences surrounding Coleman. 

“Gary” is executive produced by Louise Norman, Tom Sheahan, Steve Boettcher, and Mike Trinklein, and is set to premiere exclusively on Peacock on August 29.

Who was Gary Coleman? He became a household name in the late 1970s as Arnold Jackson, the wisecracking younger brother in “Diff’rent Strokes”. His signature phrase, “Whatchu talkin’ ’bout, Willis?” became iconic. However, despite his early success, Coleman’s life was marred by legal battles, financial difficulties, and health problems related to a congenital kidney disease, which stunted his growth and required frequent medical treatment. Deep all around. 

Sadly, as an adult, Coleman struggled to find steady work in Hollywood and faced numerous personal challenges. He had a highly publicized legal battle with his parents over the mismanagement of his earnings. In 2010, Coleman’s life ended in controversy when he died following a fall at his home. His death was ruled accidental, but it fueled widespread speculation and debate. There goes the controversy around his death and we’re sure the documentary will go into that in detail.

The series, known for its raw conversations with Hip-Hop artists and celebrities, became a cultural phenomenon in its first season, captivating audiences with viral, no-holds-barred interviews. Season two kicks off with a candid conversation with Saucy Santana about her latest life updates.

Yung Miami said she was “deeply hurt and shocked” after watching the video of Diddy harming Cassie in a hotel hallway but also stated, “that was not my experience at all.”

“I’ve been in a toxic relationship before when I was younger,” Yung Miami said to PEOPLE magazine in a story that was released on premiere day. “In high school, my early 20s, and they’re not healthy. They’re not fun. It’s just I’ve been there, done that, and that’s somewhere I would never want to put myself. Now, being 30 with two kids, that’s something I don’t condone or tolerate, something that I grew from. That’s why I say that wasn’t my experience with him, because I wouldn’t even put up with that.”

Kesha Says She Plans to Rerecord ‘TiK ToK’ With Changed Diddy Lyric

Ya’ll remember Kesha, right? The Hip Hop turned pop artist is celebrating the 15th anniversary of her breakout single “TiK ToK.” If you recall that song mentioned Diddy… Now she’s re-recording the song with a notable change to the most famous lyric that invoke’s that aforementioned name. 

The 37-year-old singer shared her brow raising plans on X (yes, yes, formerly Twitter) and added some reflection on the cultural impact the song:

“‘TiK ToK’ was the first single that I put into this world that had my voice AND my name credited!!!!” Kesha wrote. “I remember making it fun and happy because that’s how I felt and wanted others to feel… What I’m so proud of is that’s how this song STILL makes me feel, through it all.”

Kesha has altered the original lyric “wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy” to “wake up in the morning like f**k P. Diddy.”

Kesha went on: “15 (!!!!!!) years later, I see this song as a snapshot into the way I saw the world at the time. That girl was naive and wild and playful… The world has changed so much and so have I.”

Get this, she first debuted the new lyrics in April during a surprise appearance at Coachella with singer Reneé Rapp, who she credits for inspiring the change. Okay, flowers to Rapp. 

Kesha described the reimagined as “fiercely protecting my fun and unadulterated joy, in myself and in others,” and encouraged her fans to reconnect with their inner “wild child-like joy.”

ICYMI, the lyric change was first introduced publicly during her November 2023 performance on her Only Love Tour in Los Angeles, where she sang, “Wake up in the morning feeling just like me,” a subtle nod to distancing herself from Combs amid his ongoing legal controversies.

Last week, T.I. was arrested for a case of mistaken identity as another man with the same name, Clifford Harris, had a warrant out for arrest. T.I. was tracked down by TMZ in Beverly Hills, who downplayed the issue and revealed that there were no hard feelings about the incident.

“They was just doin’ they job,” T.I. said, revealing he wasn’t upset. “I try to get rid of emotion and deal with the facts at hand.”

He added that his wife, Tiny, was “all too familiar with it.” He added, It was no injury in the moment.

Latto Is A Pageant Queen In Her Southern-Fried ‘Georgia Peach’ Video

In the video for “Georgia Peach” from her new album Sugar Honey Iced Tea, Latto pays loving homage to country living. With nods to Southern staples like beauty pageants, roadside fruit stands, pickup trucks, and daisy dukes, “Georgia Peach” paints a portrait of life in the Peach State, which complements the laid-back production from Go Grizzly, Pooh Beatz, Tommy Parker, Alex Lustig, and Kid Masterpiece.

In the three verses (we don’t need no hook for this sh*t), Latto plays around with her flow, going from her usual percussive flow to a singsong delivery that matches up with the airy instrumental. Both the signature sweet tea and Georgia peaches show up; the former in the form of some product placement from Yerba Mate and the latter as the product on display at a roadside stand. Latto’s sister Brooklyn mugs alongside her as they lounge on a GMC pickup.

Another standout from the new album, “Squeeze,” sees Latto reunite with Megan Thee Stallion for another tag-team display of ribald lyricism, while “Big Mama” is a microcosm of the contrasting styles Latto displays across the 17-song tracklist (an extension at the end includes previously released singles “Put It On Da Floor” and its Cardi B-featuring remix, and the Ice Spice diss song “Sunday Service” and its remix featuring Meg and Flo Milli).

Bianca Censori is usually turning heads with her lewd or too revealing outfits, but the norm has become somewhat of an exception to her. Moreover, on her latest outing with Kanye West, she rocked a skimpy but still SFW short dress with a little bit peeking out from behind, but nothing much (we can’t show the pictures on here, so check them out with the “Via” link down below if you’re curious). It’s become a bit bizarre to see how hyper-obsessed with Bianca’s fashion choices, especially when there’s no consideration about her relationship with the Chicago rapper. As such, it’s more surprising whenever she dresses normally than when she dresses abnormally in the media… Make of that what you will.

Still, there’s a lot of ink on Kanye West’s alleged control of Bianca Censori in their relationship, a concerning and common narrative. “Kanye now exerts total control over Bianca’s life…” a source allegedly close to the couple told The Jasmine Brand. “He films her from every angle before they go out…Then he critiques her body right down to her private parts. It’s so demeaning. Kanye also screens her social media and controls what she eats and drinks… She’s not even allowed to go to bed until he tells her. He says it’s for her benefit, but he’s turned her into his own Stepford Wife!”

Of course, take all these claims with a grain of salt, as they come from unconfirmed sources and don’t provide any sort of proof. Also, when it comes to this outfit stuff, it’s not like Bianca Censori hasn’t covered up in public before, so looking at their bond through only their style will only get you so far. Hopefully all these rumors and speculative reports aren’t as accurate as some fans treat them online. After all, the allegations are much more harmful than just fashion choices.

Meanwhile, Kanye West also faced accusations of cheating, or at least attempting to cheat through alleged DMS to a model. With this in mind, things might be more complicated behind the scenes that what we can assume. We’ll see what Bianca Censori rocks next, and whether we will see more public statements about their marriage. All we can hope for is that they come from more verifiable sources than the gossip train.

Drake Swoops In To Save Italian Soccer Club From Going Bankrupt

Over these last few days, Drake has been the talk of the town. After going silent following the Kendrick Lamar battle, aside from some lackluster guest performances, he shook the hip-hop community’s foundation in a good way. Out of the blue, he dropped off over 100 GB of files via 100gigs.org. On the site, there are hundreds of files that include BTS footage across the last several years, alternate album covers, and three new songs. “It’s Up”, featuring Young Thug and 21 Savage, “Red Blue Green”, and “Housekeeping Knows” with Latto, were all included. The first of them sees 21 and Drizzy potentially firing off shots at Lamar and A$AP Rocky, adding more drama to those feuds. Now, Drake is taking more W’s by helping an Italian soccer club financially speaking.

According to TMZ Sports, Venice’s Venezia FC team is a big deal, having been around since 1907 and a force in the Serie B division. Unfortunately, though, due to the dishing out the big bucks, they have slowly been suffering. Because of this they have been staring bankruptcy in the face and have been close to dropping down to Serie D. So, with them running out of options, Venezia FC’s owner, Brad Katsuyama asked Matte Babel for a massive favor.

These two are close friends, and Babel happens to be a part of Drake’s team, specifically the Chief Brand Officer and on the management team. “He laid out the problem, simply — Venezia needs to raise ten million euros in a couple weeks, and then at least thirty million euros in a few months, or the club will go bankrupt”, Babel said. So, him, Drake, and Katsuyama were able to work things out. Apparently, in about two weeks, all three men were able to negotiate a $40 million donation through a handful of North American investors. Now, Venezia FC is doing much better. TMZ says that new talent and facilities are in the works with the investments looking to be finished by the 2027-2028 season.

Today, Latto finally unleashed her third studio album, Sugar Honey Iced Tea. The project arrived after plenty of teasing, and so far, fans are impressed. The Atlanta-born performer managed to stay true to her roots, giving listeners what they love her for while still showcasing her growth as an artist. As fans share their reactions to the LP on social media, many have also begun to draw comparisons to Drake. Some are even claiming that Latto’s latest release cements her place as the female version of the Toronto hitmaker.

“Latto album dropped today and you can hear so much Drake and 21 Savage on it […] Literally you can put the rapping on Settle Down over the Major Distribution beat and that sh*t would go so hard,” one fan writes on X. “You can hear the Drake influence all over this album but it sounds so good. After she dropped “Big Mama” in June, fans insisted they could hear Drake’s influence from a mile away. At the time, she made it clear that she was flattered, dubbing him “the GOAT.” When Drake did his unexpected 100-gigabyte dump earlier this week, he even unveiled a track with Latto, which quickly became a fan favorite.
