Nicki Minaj Hurls Object Into Crowd During Show, Sparking Cardi B Comparisons

Nicki Minaj has kept herself busy as of late, making her way across North America on her eagerly anticipated Pink Friday 2 world tour. So far, her performances have been nothing short of impressive, with the femcee delivering hit after hit. She’s also been joined by several celebrity guests like 50 Cent, Tyga, JT, and many more.

While the Queen of Rap is surely having a blast celebrating her new album with fans, that doesn’t mean the tour has been totally free of annoyances. During a recent show, for example, someone threw an object at her during “Starships.” In a clip from the shocking moment, it nearly hits her in the head. Luckily, it just missed her, though it did leave her visibly irritated.

Nicki Minaj Has Had Enough Of Thrown Objects

Looking outraged, Nicki picked the item up off the ground, promptly hurling it back into the crowd. It’s unclear what exactly the object was, but fortunately, it looked pretty small. It’s also unconfirmed whether or not anybody was hit after the “FTCU” rapper threw it. Either way, most fans can agree that she was justified, particularly considering reports of other artists being injured in similar situations. After all, she still has all of Europe, the UK, and Australia to get to.

The clip has, however, caused viewers to look back on another instance of a femcee throwing something into the crowd. This, of course, is Cardi B’s infamous viral mic throw of last year. For those who don’t recall, someone splashed the “Enough” rapper with a drink onstage, prompting her to launch a microphone at them. “This is giving cardi b,” one commenter writes. “She wants to be Cardi B so bad,” another claims. What do you think of Nicki Minaj hurling an object thrown at her onstage back into the crowd? What about social media users comparing the incident to Cardi B’s mic throw? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Lance “Un” Rivera Says Cam’ron Was Traumatized By Biggie Comparisons

Lance “Un” Rivera says that Cam’ron was traumatized by getting comparisons to the legendary New York rapper, The Notorious B.I.G. Rivera discussed Cam’s career and reuniting with him for the film Percentage, during a new interview with VladTV.

“I enjoy [Cam]’s creativity, we clashed a lot creatively,” he said. “‘Cause I had this thing with Cam — and I heard that he kinda traumatized Juelz with the same process … I always challenged Cam on when he thought he was better, I challenged him [and said,] ‘You hadn’t gotten better. This is sub par to me.’ And I wasn’t taking anything away from him. Cam [would say,] ‘Biggie woulda did it this way.” Rivera also described him as a “gold artist” rather than a “platinum” one.

“He’s a legitimate gold artist like Redman and Method Man and all of these other guys, so Cam didn’t wanna put in the work or listen to what it took,” Rivera continued. “Puff had to tell Big, ”Machine Gun Funk’ is not gonna get you to an album.’ Nas had to do Lauryn Hill ‘If I Ruled The World’ to get to that level. Jay didn’t really start making big records until Pharrell. Everything else was still this underground rapping choruses. Nah, if you wanna sell millions of records, here is what we learned and this is how we do it. That’s why Puff was so successful.”

Cam’ron had begun his career with Rivera and his Untertainment imprint. Under that label, he released his debut album, Confessions of Fire in 1998. However, Untertainment lost a distribution deal with Epic in 2000, causing the company to absorb Cam’ron’s contract. By the end of the legal dispute, Cam ended up signing with Roc-A-Fella Records.

Flo Milli Urges Fans To Stop With The Ice Spice Comparisons

Flo Milli is a fantastic artist who has been putting out some dope tracks and projects as of late. Unfortunately, a lot of women rappers are always being compared to each other. Overall, this is mostly because hip-hop is a space dominated by men. Consequently, people will pit the women against each other to see who the best is, since there aren’t as many to compare. Flo Milli has not been able to escape these comparisons as her career always gets put under the microscope.

This is especially true now that Ice Spice is out on the scene. Fans absolutely adore Ice Spice. However, others feel like the hype is unwarranted. Flo Milli’s art is much more lyrical than Ice Spice’s. This has subsequently led to people taking to social media, saying Flo should be much more popular than Spice. Flo Milli, on the hand, wants this all to stop immediately. While taking to Twitter, she urged her fans to stop with the unnecessary comparisons.

Flo Milli Speaks Out

“I wish yall would stop with this tired ass narrative yall love to push about my career,” she wrote. “And stop mentioning me while trying to degrade another artist its WEIRDDD. im doing great I went from being broke to traveling the world with my talent and im only 23.. pls RELAX.” Overall, this is a great mentality to have. Flo Milli wants it to be crystal clear that she is not about putting other people down. Moreover, she is objectively correct. She has accomplished more than others could ever dream of. Ice Spice is thriving as well, and they should be able to co-exist without weirdos making it an issue.

In the future, perhaps we could even see a collaboration between these two. And if we don’t, that’s okay too. Fans are too quick to turn things into a competition these days. This is especially true when you factor in social media, which ruins our perception of things. Let us know what you think about Flo Milli and her comments, down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates from around the music world.

Pras Doesn’t Want To Be Compared To 6ix9ine

The Pras conspiracy case is surely one of the wildest hip-hop stories of the year so far. Moreover, following his guilty verdict, he continued to deny the assumption that he was an FBI informant. In fact, he recently said such statements in person to TMZ, who caught up with him on the street and asked him about the situation. For those unaware, the Fugees rapper allegedly embezzled millions in cahoots with a Malaysian businessman and participated in a host of fraudulent and witness tampering schemes. However, he maintained his innocence and that he acted in good faith and in the United States’ best interests.

“I can’t really talk about the verdict, I got a lot more work to get done,” Pras remarked in Los Angeles. “Look, I was never in the past, present, or future an FBI or a CIA informant. Never ever. If people want to check it out, look at the testimonies. They could see that all within the records, and all the DC courts.” During his remarks, he even dismissed comparisons to one of rap’s most notorious snitches in recent memory.

Pras & 6ix9ine Are Not Alike

“This is not a Tekashi 6ix9ine situation, respectfully,” he continued. “Because he admitted he was an informant, basically. So I was never. I never said I was. I am not now and never will be an FBI or a CIA informant.” Furthermore, Pras’ publicist also denied these claims. “Pras was never an FBI informant. It’s not accurate and, quite frankly, it’s dangerous,” Erica Dumas told AllHipHop. “If he was an informant, he would not be on trial. The government does not prosecute and threaten its informants with more than two decades of jail time.” Regardless, many still clowned him online, whether it was figures in the genre or regular people.

Still, there’s one legendary MC who stood up for the “Zealots” rhymer: Chuck D. “Pras was a valedictorian in HighSchool or in the final runnings,” he tweeted. “They NEVER mention THAT. Instead USA propAgenda machine ALWAYS promotes this backwoods Jed ass Clampett tale of Hood gangstaS, which NEVER been a threat ANYWHERE other than Blackfolk. Wrong is wrong but this SMELLS.” Let us know what you think of this in the comments and return to HNHH for the latest on Pras.
