Latto Gets Pulled Over In Resurfaced Bodycam Footage For Running A Red Light: Watch

Latto is one of rappers that comes to mind when you think about the biggest female stars in the game. You can even include her in overall conversations as well, especially in 2024. Her output is right there with the best, and a lot of the releases are hits. She will almost undoubtedly solidify herself as a superstar when she drops her next album, Sugar Honey Iced Tea. There is a lot of opportunity that lies ahead for the Columbus born hitmaker, even though she has already accomplished so much. When you make good music, your fans reward you with tons of support, which leads to you to a life that some dream to have.

However, while having fans is great, it can also create a lot of problems, too. A common one is being followed after being spotted in public. That was seemingly the case for Latto sometime last year and it led to her being pulled over in Atlanta. The “Big Mama” lyricist was stopped for running multiple red lights after celebrating a friend’s birthday at a club. Latto’s security was told to stay in their vehicle while the officer spoke with the rapper.

The 25-year-old told the male officer her profession and the reasoning for skipping the traffic lights. Because of where she was coming from and how late it was, he asked if she had been drinking. Latto told him she did not have anything to drink. Still, the officer breathalyzed her. She did tell the truth, but the end result was still a ticket for running those red lights. At the end of the day, the law is the law, and you have to abide by them no matter your status.

What are your thoughts on Latto receiving a ticket for running a red light last year? Do you think she was telling the truth about avoiding fans following her? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Latto. Westside Gunn & DJ Khaled Song Used At TNA Wrestling Event

Westside Gunn is a lifelong fan of professional wrestling. He often appears in the front row when WWE or All Elite Wrestling are in New York. He played fellow Buffalo native Daniel Garcia to the ring before a match in September 2022. The Griselda trio of he, Benny The Butcher, and Conway The Machine are famous for their sports references. He and Conway refer to themselves as Hall & Nash, referencing The Outsiders, the tag team of Kevin Nash and the late Scott Hall. Gunn even has a mixtape called Fourth Rope, with every track named after a wrestler or something related to wrestling.

On Saturday, TNA Wrestling held their Slammiversary event. The yearly show was the 20th in the Slammiversary series, while the company celebrated its 22nd year of existence. TNA used Westside Gunn’s single “Chocolate Face” as the theme song for the event. “Chocolate Face” features DJ Khaled and is the lead release for Gunn’s next album, Flygod Is An Awesome God 3. Gunn previously attended TNA’s No Surrender event in February.

Westside Gunn & DJ Khaled

Professional wrestling and hip-hop have long overlapped. Wrestlers have had rap songs as entrance music for years. Wale hosts his yearly WaleMania event during WWE’s WrestleMania weekend, where wrestlers and rappers come together to party and tell stories. All Elite Wrestling has multiple hip-hop inspired albums about different wrestlers on the roster. Action Bronson competed in a match a couple of years ago. Westside Gunn providing music for TNA Wrestling is not surprising, especially considering his own love of the wrestling business.

Flygod Is An Awesome God 3 arrives this fall. The usually prolific Westside Gunn has been surprisingly quiet this year, with no new music over halfway through 2024. Conway The Machine and Benny The Butcher have both released new albums already, leaving Gunn as the last of the trio to come out with something fresh. Gunn recently teased a mixtape to hold fans over until he’s ready to drop his next work. His collaboration with TNA is the latest work Gunn has done with a wrestling promotion, and it probably won’t be long until fans see him in a different promotion.

Cardi B’s Long-Awaited Next Album Is A Make-Or-Break Moment

Rap fans have waited for five years for a follow-up to Cardi B’s debut album, Invasion Of Privacy, but the going hasn’t been easy. We’ve seen a string of false launches, pump fakes, and outright flip-flopping from Cardi herself about the album’s status. It’s understandable; there’s a lot riding on this release, both for Cardi and the rap game at large. On the bright side, it certainly seems like the album is finally dropping after Cardi acknowledged, “Sometimes I get a little aggressive because y’all know I don’t like to be told what to do,” but promised “it’s coming THIS YEAR.”

Artists from every genre and generation have had to contend with the so-called “sophomore slump” — the perceived disappointment of an artist’s second album failing to live up to the commercial and critical heights of its predecessor. When an artist’s first album has been as successful as Cardi’s, the heights are dizzying, but the fall could potentially be fatal for that artist’s career. Invasion Of Privacy set about as a high a bar to clear as it gets, becoming the first album from a female rapper in 20 years to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and spawning not just one, but two No. 1 singles: “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It.” It’s become one of the most commercially successful rap albums in the last five years.

It also wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that Cardi B shifted the axis of the entirety of hip-hop when she dropped her debut in 2019. The album turned Cardi into the genre’s new center of gravity, and it upended the gender dynamic, inspiring a wave of young women to jump into the rap business as labels once again opened up their coffers to new rappers of all stripes, from glamorous to ghetto fabulous to tomboyish. Cardi proved that female rappers could actually make money — or rather, disproved the notion that they weren’t worth the investment. Prior to Invasion, you could count the number of charting female rappers for the past decade on one hand. Since, we’ve had Coi Leray, Latto, Megan Thee Stallion, Saweetie, and more.

So, to recap: In order for Cardi’s second album to be considered a “success,” it would not only have to pull down a truly ridiculous number of album-equivalent units — the kind of numbers that are practically impossible to achieve in today’s increasingly fractured social climate — but it would also have to justify a five-year wait. At the same time, critics like Joe Budden have not only been scrutinizing Cardi’s release process, but declaring doom for the entire “girl rap” movement — recent hits from the likes of Ice Spice, GloRilla, and Sexyy Red notwithstanding. Basically, Cardi’s next album “failing” could potentially bring down the entire industry’s confidence in the concept of a female rapper. Just look at superhero movies, where the failure of Halle Berry’s 2004 Catwoman effectively tanked the stocks of other superheroines until Wonder Woman came out 13 years later.

Cardi seems more than aware of this legacy. She’s dropped smash singles since — “WAP” was inescapable in 2020 and 2021, while her features on songs like “Tomorrow 2” and “Put It on da Floor Again” solidified breakouts for GloRilla and Latto, respectively — but songs like “Up,” “Bongos,” and “Enough (Miami)” never gained the traction to become the sort of culture-dominating juggernauts that lead to long-tail chart-toppers and Grammy Award shoo-ins. The pressure would be enough to get to anyone, especially someone like Cardi, who has shown exactly how sensitive she is over the years and frequently talks about how important it is for her to support her family with her success.

The thing about a sophomore slump, though, is that they aren’t always as dire as we make them out to be. Sure, it seems like a flop could be the end of Cardi’s career — but she’s already had a longer career than many supposed “one-hit wonders.” Her reticence to try and fail is understandable, though. She has a lot riding on this one; not only is her reputation precarious in a time when a near-constant flow of new music could wash her existing accomplishments away for fans with attention spans shortened by Spotify and other streaming options, but social media gives her biggest haters a direct line to tell her how much they think she sucks. As tough as she has proven to be, nobody really wants stans yelling at them all day about how much of a failure they are — which many of them already do.

But no matter what happens when she finally decides to drop, you just can’t count her all the way out. Even if she “falls off,” so to speak, she has the ultimate secret weapon — her household name. She’s reached the point where seemingly the whole world knows her name, and will always be intrigued to see what she’s going to do next. So, even if this second album misses the mark, her next “WAP” or “Tomorrow 2” could still be right around the corner.

Charlamagne Tha God Says He’s Glad Joe Biden Stepped Down To End Recent “Chaos & Confusion”

Charlamagne Tha God says he’s glad Joe Biden decided to drop out of the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election. He discussed the President’s shocking decision during the latest episode of The Breakfast Club, arguing that pressure from Democratic party donors was the final nail in the coffin.

“When the donors started saying no more money if you don’t step down, that’s when they decided to make the decision because 70% of the American people told them they did not want a Biden-Trump rematch. It’s been nothing but chaos and confusion ever since so I’m glad Biden stepped down,” Charlamagne said. He later added that Donald Trump is now “the old man.”

When Biden announced that he wouldn’t be seeking re-election, he endorsed Kamala Harris to run in his stead. “My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President,” he wrote in a statement on X (formerly Twitter). “And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.”

Larry June Oozes Confidence From Every Pore On Wavy “Like A Mack”

Larry June can never seem to slow down, but we aren’t complaining when we are getting songs like “Like a Mack”. Since the release of his November 10, 2023 album, The Night Shift, Uncle Larry is seemingly already getting back into album mode. In 2024, the San Francisco, California MC has put out three other singles. Those include “Imported Couches”, “Meet Me In Napa”, and “Dreams”. Larry isn’t one to experiment too often, but he continues to perfect and build upon his signature luxurious, hazy style. That is more of what Larry June is doing lately and on “Like a Mack”. Where this new single differs from its previous threesome is that is more of trap flavor to the instrumental.

Typically, the “Smoothies in 1991” songwriter opts for swanky beats in which the drums play more of a background role. However, “Like a Mack” features them more prominently. Still, though, Larry still brings the West Coast sound to this record which is aided by a nice guitar loop. As per usual, the prolific veteran is extremely self-absorbed, yet charismatic. The tempo of the instrumental is a little faster, but fans on YouTube have pointed out how it sounds good slowed down. We definitely agree with that take, adding more replay ability to an already catchy June tune. With four singles already out in seven months and still about four and a half to go, a new album is probably on the horizon. It is not confirmed, but that is the hope we have because June continues to produce at a high level.

Jessica White Turns to In-Vitro Fertilization on Her Journey to Motherhood

Screen Shot 2024 07 22 at 11.15.26 AM

Model and reality star Jessica White, 40, is determined to fulfill her dream of becoming a mother. White revealed that she is undergoing in-vitro fertilization (IVF) to have a baby on her own–without a partner, following a miscarriage with her ex, Nick Cannon.

In an interview with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea,” White revealed, “The hormones are running rampant. I’m having hot flashes, I’m crying all the time. I’m mad about the wind blowing. It’s working!” White shared, describing her experience as a real-life “pin cushion” due to the numerous shots required for the treatment. “We’re going to go in next month and retrieve all the eggs,” she continued. “You get tired of being picked … and having to stab yourself in the stomach. It’s crazy but it’s worth it.”

White turned to IVF after discovering a sizable uterine fibroid and a 10-centimeter cyst that prevented her from successfully carrying a fetus to term. “I had six miscarriages,” she explained, noting that her fertility issues extended beyond the miscarriage with Cannon that she publicly spoke about in 2021. “No baby could actually survive in my womb in the first place,” she reflected. “It is a very lonely and isolating experience.”

Now, with her medical issues addressed and a supportive team of doctors, White is optimistic about starting a family. “I just keep thinking about those sweet two little babies that I’ll be implanting in my womb in the next couple of months,” she said, having already found a sperm donor. “I have my baby’s daddy … and I’m stuck on that being the one.”

White’s relationship with Cannon, a father of 12, ended partly due to his public announcement of having a baby with Brittany Bell. “She was aware that I had just had a miscarriage, two weeks prior to her news coming out, because he told me that he told her. And I was living at his house, she knew that as well,” White recalled. “But I found out on Instagram along with the rest of the world.”

White noted that she and Cannon “were about to start in vitro” when she discovered Bell was expecting her second child with Cannon in June 2020. “So, when I came out, people thought I was this homewrecker. No, there was a real life going on. I was bullied for months with that whole situation,” she said.

Despite their breakup, White still holds affection for Cannon. “I love Nick still. I’ll always love him. Nick and I grew up together, so that’s not something that will ever fade,” she said. “Whether children came here or not, his DNA is still implanted inside of me. It’s a part of my brain fragment now. It just didn’t work out, but the love will never be lost.”

As she embarks on this new chapter, White remains hopeful and resilient, looking forward to the possibility of motherhood through IVF.

MAGA World Attempts to Resurrect Debunked ‘Side Chick’ Slurs Against VP Kamala Harris

Screen Shot 2024 07 22 at 10.32.24 AM

In a backlash of not surprising attacks, MAGA supporters have resurrected old and debunked slurs against Vice President Kamala Harris, targeting her relationship with San Francisco politico Willie Brown from 30 years ago. Looking for a way to discredit Vice President Harris as she is eyed as a potential Democratic presidential nominee following President Joe Biden’s decision not to seek re-election.

Right-wing activist and columnist Matt Walsh was among the first to reignite the controversy. Walsh, addressing his 2.9 million followers on X (formerly Twitter), claimed that Harris had “got her start in politics by sleeping with Willie Brown.” He went on to assert, “She became Vice President because Biden needed a non-white female on the ticket. Now she likely becomes the Democratic nominee for president because the guy at the top of the ticket has dementia. She’s made a career out of begging for hand outs from powerful men. A thoroughly unimpressive human being.”

Following Walsh, right-wing lawyer and OutKick founder Clay Travis also chimed in, contrasting the Democrats’ criticism of Donald Trump’s alleged affair with porn star Stormy Daniels with Harris’ early political career. “So how is Kamala Harris starting her career in politics as the side chick of the married mayor of San Francisco not a hugely important story?” he tweeted.

However, these claims against Harris are not new and have been debunked multiple times. A Reuters fact check in 2020 confirmed that Harris and Brown dated from 1994 to 1995, before Brown became mayor. Despite the unconventional aspects of their relationship—Brown being 30 years her senior and legally married but separated for over a decade—their relationship was public knowledge, and they made several public appearances together.

Harris’ career trajectory, marked by her roles as state attorney general and later as a U.S. Senator, is often overlooked in these attacks. The accusations seem to be a strategic move by Trump supporters, who perceive Harris as a stronger contender than Biden in the upcoming presidential race, despite her high unfavorability ratings.

During his first campaign rally since an assassination attempt in Pennsylvania, Trump tested a new derogatory nickname for Harris, calling her “Laughing Kamala.” He said, “Have you watched her laugh? She is crazy. You know, you can tell a lot by a laugh. No, she’s crazy. She’s nuts.”

These sexist accusations and derogatory nicknames indicate a dark move in the Trump camp’s strategy as they prepare for a potential face-off with Harris in the 2024 presidential election. Despite the relentless attacks, Harris continues to focus on her role as Vice President, undeterred by the recycled slurs aimed at undermining her political career.

Thoughts?
