Last week, Sean Kingston and his mother Janice Turner made headlines after officials raided the artist’s Florida mansion. Reportedly, the raid was conducted in connection to a lawsuit filed against Kingston earlier this year by Ver Ver Entertainment LLC. The company accuses him of failing to follow through with an agreement to make promotional videos with Justin Bieber in exchange for a $150K entertainment system. According to them, the entertainment system in question is allegedly still in his possession despite him not paying for it in its entirety.

His mother was taken into custody on the scene, though Kingston himself wasn’t home during the raid. Hours later, he was arrested at a concert in California on fraud and theft charges. Now, Turner’s mugshot has surfaced online, and unsurprisingly, most social media users are being anything but nice.

The Game Says He’s “Out”

The Game even took to No Jumper‘s Instagram comments section to weigh in yesterday. According to him, however, he’s better off refraining from saying anything at all. “Unmmm… aite, I’m out,” he wrote simply. His comment has other users split. While some aren’t surprised that he decided to chime in, others are telling him to mind his own business, as it appears as though Kingston and his family are already dealing with enough.

Turner is far from the only person he’s clowned on as of late, however. Earlier this month, The Game also went after Meek Mill. Logging 38 minutes, Holiday made two pivotal plays to complete Boston’s 18-point comeback, securing a 3-0 series lead.

The Celtics’ rally marked a historic achievement, becoming only the sixth NBA team since 1997-98 to win a playoff game after trailing by 18 or more points in the second half.

Jayson Tatum delivered a stellar performance, recording 36+ points, 10+ rebounds, 8+ assists, and 2+ blocks—an unmatched feat in Celtics’ Conference Finals history. The Weeknd Shares Ominous Message Possibly Alluding To His Final Album

The Weeknd’s final album under that moniker, and the final installment in his After Hours and Dawn FM trilogy, is one of the most anticipated releases of… 2023? 2024? 2025? We’ve known about it for a pretty long time, and in between heavy touring and his HBO show The Idol, he’s had a lot of boxes to check off before entering a new era. However, Abel Tesfaye may be close to this conclusion, as he recently shared a pretty cryptic message on his Instagram Story. It’s a repost of what seems like a tweet about a performance of “Save Your Tears” as cars zoom past him, and is followed up with an ominous premonition: “the end is near.”

“There was a lot of trust with those cars,” the post about The Weeknd’s “Save Your Tears” performance read. “He didn’t seem nervous at all, which really weirded us out, because these cars were just barreling by him and he was calm, kept his composure, walked slow and just didn’t look back. It was kind of amazing.” Whether or not he’ll have similar stunts or another approach entirely for his next LP, we’re sure it’ll be something special.

The Weeknd’s Mysterious Tease

Of course, The Weeknd’s magnitude and artistry in the industry means that he connected with some of the best in the game for collaborations. Metro Boomin is one particularly close partner who recently confirmed that more work from them will appear on this upcoming album. Also, it’s entirely possible that the Toronto superstar referred to something else with this social media post that doesn’t have anything to do with the next project. But that seems unlikely, and there are few other places where XO fans’ minds will go when they hear that phrase.

Meanwhile, we haven’t heard much about Cash XO’s bodyguard’s shooting since it happened back in April. Hopefully things slowed down significantly and are in a much more safe, protected, and calm space now. Whether this hampered The Weeknd’s process is a question we may never get the answer too, but whatever he’s bringing us next, it’s arriving soon. Given his stellar career and influence up until this point, most of us expect fireworks at the end of it all… at least, for this stage name.

Drake & Gordo Tease New Music Coming Very Soon

While some folks are still commenting on the Kendrick Lamar battle, it seems like Drake’s prerogative is to move on and stay in the studio. Moreover, he and Gordo recently teased new music coming in summer 2024 through the latter’s Instagram Story. For those unaware, Gordo (previously known as DJ Carnage or simply Carnage) is a Guatemalan-American electronic dance music producer and DJ who, during the early to mid-2010s, pioneered the festival trap sound in the mainstream and found a lot of genre-crossing and insular success. He eventually transitioned more into deep tech house, which led to various production credits on albums like the Toronto superstar’s Honestly Nevermind.

As such, this should be very exciting for Drake fans looking for sunnier vibes and catchy hits, as it seems like they will be here all summer. Not only that, but this follows his recent feature on the track “U My Everything” off of Sexyy Red’s new project, In Sexyy We Trust. Thanks to the cheeky lyrical content, Drizzy rapping over Metro Boomin’s “BBL Drizzy” diss beat, and the timing of its release, folks can’t help but place it in the context of the Kendrick Lamar beef. A lot of folks think that this was the right angle to take, whereas others think that he’s just digging his grave further.

Gordo Teases New Summer 2024 Music With Drake

Wherever you fall on that spectrum, one thing’s for sure: most rap fans can enjoy both artists’ music regardless, but there are some fans who -– as DJ Akademiks recently expressed -– are too biased. “Fans swear this Drake Kendrick issue is like gang banging,” he shared on Twitter after fans called his Drake fandom out after he quoted “Not Like Us” in a tweet. “U a lame a** fan if u can’t like ‘Not Like Us,’ ‘Push Ups’ ‘Euphoria’ and ‘Family Matters’ all at the same time. Them rappers made 10s of millions wit their beef .. don’t be that invested it ain’t that serious.”

Meanwhile, it’s possible that some of the other targets in that back-and-forth might still respond and want to escalate things. For example, many think that YG responded to Drake’s reference to him on “Family Matters” on his new single “Weird.” Will the OVO mogul take some bars out of his summer work with Gordo and others to keep it up or is it still too early for his inevitable subliminals? Only time will tell, and we hope that the electronic producer crafts some killer jams.

As for Kendrick, he’s kept pretty quiet since unleashing “Not Like Us.” It’s become a huge fan-favorite of the lyrical battle in the weeks following its release.

Nonetheless, Kendrick’s widely believed to be the winner of the beef, which his fans continue to celebrate. Earlier this week, for example, a couple of them stopped by one of Drizzy’s OVO Sound stores with a mission in mind. User @vozziitbackup shared a video of the excursion on TikTok, proving just how far they were willing to go to troll Drake.

Kendrick Lamar Fans Are Committed

In the video, two men are seen walking into the store, blasting “Not Like Us” out of a speaker which appears to be hidden in a backpack. As they danced to the diss track, some giggling could be heard in the background. Luckily, this suggests that other shoppers weren’t too offended by their antics. Eventually, however, it looks as if they were asked to stop filming and leave the store by a staff member. They did this not once, but twice, making it clear that they were committed.

The video has left TikTok commenters split. While some find the bold act harmless and funny, others just think it’s corny and disruptive to staff and other innocent people trying to shop. Lizzo Reacts To “South Park” Parodying Her: “I’m Really That B***h”

Lizzo is South Park‘s latest celebrity victim, as during a recent episode about body positivity and weight, they included a bit about the artist being weight loss medication that makes its users “not give a f**k” about their weight. She shared her first reaction to the clip itself, and once her name came up, her mouth was either fully agape or covered by her hand in shock. Then, the Special singer spoke on how she made it far enough in the music industry to where now Trey Parker and Matt Stone know who she is and know that a segment on her would at least hit popularity-wise. As controversial as the clip may be for some, it’s South Park: what did you expect?

“Guys, my worst fear has been actualized,” Lizzo began her (presumably) TikTok video, facing the camera with a pretty blank expression. “I’ve been referenced in a South Park episode. I’m so scared. I’m gonna blind duet to it right now. Here we go.” After the bit’s intro, that’s when she put her hand over her mouth and reacted incredulously to the clip.

Lizzo Reacts To South Park Bit

“Not the f***ing album!” Lizzo exclaimed when a character in the parody advertisement held a vinyl that read “Special.” “Period,” she said when a character spoke on the power of “not giving a f**k” that the “prescription” offers. “That’s crazy!” the Detroit native expressed. “I just feel like, damn, I’m really that b***h. I’m really that b***h! I really showed the world how to love yourself and not give a f**k to the point where these… men in Colorado know who the f**k I am and put it on their cartoon that’s been around for 25 years. I’m really that b***h and I showed y’all how not to give a f**k and I’ma keep on showing you how not to give a f**k. Oh, oh, oh, oh, Lizzo, b***h!” she sang at the end.

Whenever folks drag Lizzo for unwarranted reasons online, she usually responds in a pretty dismissive and unbothered manner. As such, this reaction to the South Park episode comes as no surprise. At least folks can sometimes see the humor in parody rather than focus on the more negative aspects. After all, who wouldn’t want to be comfortable with themselves no matter what their body is like?

Word from behind the walls of Diddy states the Bad Boy mogul is pointing to an “agenda” against him. The report comes from The New York Post in reaction to the video of Diddy’s assault on Cassie in a hotel in 2016.

A source stated Diddy is “incensed” about the video release.

“He insists it doesn’t tell the full story about what happened,” the insider stated. “Not that he’s excusing it, but he says that it’s a selected video.

“It’s his position that there was an agenda in releasing the video when it was released. But ultimately, he knows that his big concern is the raids on his house; the Cassie video is just a distraction.”

Additionally, Diddy is the subject of yet another lawsuit from a woman. According to TMZ, model Crystal McKinney met Diddy at Men’s Fashion Week in 2003 when she was 22.

According to McKinney, Diddy invited her to the studio, where she engaged in drinking and smoking weed, which she believes was laced with narcotics, leading to her being disorientated.

That moment was followed by being forced into a bathroom, where she was then forced to perform oral sex, eventually losing consciousness and waking up in a taxi.

McKinney stated she was subjected to a modeling industry blackball and attempted suicide in 2004.

McKinney says her suit was inspired by Cassie’s and the feeling of having “a moral obligation to speak up.”
