Digga D Pleads Guilty To Smuggling Cannabis After Instagram Live Arrest

In February of this year, Digga D was livestreaming on Instagram from his home in Lincoln when authorities forcefully raided the property and arrested him. Clips from the stream quickly went viral. In them, he can be heard shouting at police as they made their way through his home, with dogs and drones only adding to the chaos. The UK-based drill artist has been behind bars in London ever since, accused of smuggling and supplying cannabis.

Now, he’s appeared virtually at Lincoln Crown Court from prison, where he pleaded guilty to both. Prosecutors refused to accept the basis of his pleas, and the judge adjourned the case until July 8. At that point, Digga D will learn whether or not he’ll stand trial.

Unfortunately, these are far from the only legal issues Digga D has faced since rising to popularity in 2018. The performer was given a Criminal Behavior Order, meaning that authorities regulate the release of his music. Aside from having to get permission to release new material, he’s forbidden from writing about real-life incidents, and from using London postcodes. He’s also required to wear a tracking device, check in with a probation officer every three hours, and avoid certain individuals he’s not allowed to associate with.

Digga D’s incarceration hasn’t stopped him from getting involved in rap beef, however, as he was recently dissed by Central Cee on “CC Freestyle.” Digga responded to the diss Instagram community page, reminding his longtime rival that he’s not Drake or Kendrick Lamar. “N***as like sneak dissing in the UK,” he wrote. “I shouldn’t even say n***as.” What do you think of Digga D pleading guilty to drug charges following his February arrest? Pam Grier Praises Snoop Dogg’s Kissing Skills: “He Could Smooch”

It appears that Pam Grier has pleasant memories of her co-star Snoop Dogg from Bones. When the renowned actress appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show, she went down memory lane and said that the legendary West Coast rapper and actor was an excellent kisser. Hudson played Grier a video of Snoop talking about how they met on the set of Bones in 2000. “Oh my God, and he can smooch!” Grier said of Snoop Dogg. “Let me tell ya, let me tell ya.” 

Grier was astonished by Snoop’s kissing prowess, but their first meeting stood out for entirely other reasons. Snoop Dogg revealed during his January visit to Hudson’s program that he fainted the first time he saw Pam Grier. Pam Grier is a legend, and Snoop is obviously a fan of the renowned actress. “Pam Grier walked up and just sat right next to me and started talking. My heart beat fast,” Snoop Dogg recalled. “So I’m like, ‘Okay, I hear what you’re saying. Pam, give me a minute.”

Pam Grier Has Nothing But Love For Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg attempted, but failed, to gather himself after fainting after meeting Grier by going to the men’s room. “I go to the bathroom and faint,” he added. “I fainted, I’m laying on the ground. My security comes in there like, ‘Get off this nasty floor. Man, what are you doing?’ I looked up, and I said, ‘I just met Pam Grier.’” Watch What Happens Live last month included Pam Grier’s response to Snoop Dogg’s fainting. “I was so upset that they cleaned him up and brought him back out and we sat together. I didn’t know I had that effect on him. He’s such a lovely person, I just couldn’t imagine him lying in urine,” she told Andy Cohen. 

Bones honored the beginning of Grier’s illustrious career in blaxploitation genre movies. The narrative centers on Jimmy Bones (Snoop Dogg), who comes back to life to get revenge on his assassins. It also explores the fallout from his death as seen through the eyes of Pearl (Grier), his fiancée, two decades later. Pam Grier told Hudson, “He’s a genius,” Grier told Hudson of Snoop Dogg. “You’re a genius when you employ hundreds of people in your career.” Overall, Jennifer Hudson has nothing but good things to say about Snoop Dogg.

Usher To Be Honored With Lifetime Achievement Award At This Year’s BET Awards

Usher is one of the most obvious artists worthy of a lifetime achievement award in all of music. He’s been a machine for producing hit songs for well over 20 years now and doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. Just last year he teamed up with 21 Savage and Summer Walker for a hit single with “Good Good.” That song and the new album he released alongside his performance during the Super Bowl halftime show netted him four nominations at this year’s BET Awards.

But there’s one award that Usher will definitely win, a lifetime achievement award. He was just announced as the official honoree for this year’s achievement award. The actual award show itself is exactly a month away, due to take place on June 30. The full list of nominations dropped earlier this month and was headlined by Drake. The rapper pulled 7 nominations in the wake of his new album For All The Dogs that dropped last year. Nicki Minaj is up next with 6 followed by SZA, J. Usher also popped up at the MET Gala earlier this month. Fans on social media were surprised by what he wore, a sparkling black suit accessorized by a matching black cape and hat. It added in a splash of color while adhering to the night’s garden theme by sporting a bright red rose accessory. Fans online debated whether or not the look was bold in the right ways or just too much. It’s far from the first time one of the R&B singer’s outside-the-box fashion choices have made waves on social media.

Voletta Wallace has seen all of the discourse about Diddy in the past months and says she wants to “slap the daylights out of him.”

Speaking with Rolling Stone, Wallace stated the accusations, videos and more levied against Combs made her “sick to my stomach.” She added, “I’m praying for Cassie. I’m praying for his mother. I don’t want to believe the things that I’ve heard, but I’ve seen [the hotel video]. I pray that he apologizes to her.”

Wallace would also say, “I hope that I see Sean one day and the only thing I want to do is slap the daylights out of him.

“And you can quote me on that. Because I liked him. I didn’t want to believe all the awful things, but I’m so ashamed and embarrassed.”

The relationship between The Notorious B.I.G. and Diddy was reportedly not as glamorous as it seemed. In a new report from Rolling Stone, Biggie was in a legal battle with the Bad Boy mogul before his murder.

The report states Biggie was attempting to gain control of his career. Photographer Monique Bunn revealed Biggie “was absolutely about to leave Puff. I know for a fact, he told me that.”

The Notorious B.I.G. would get murdered, and with a Rolling Stone cover on the table at the time, former Bad Boy co-founder and president Kirk Burrowes suggested Biggie get the cover. Diddy declined that idea, wanting to take the moment for himself.

“I was telling Sean, ‘Let’s make it Biggie. You still have a chance [for a cover in the future],’” Burrowes recalled. “He’s like ‘No, he’s dead. I’m putting out [No Way Out] in July. I need to be on the cover of Rolling Stone.”

OJ Simpson’s Estate Gets Hit With Massive Tax Lien

When he was alive, O.J. Simpson avoided giving millions of dollars to the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. It appears that he is still doing so from beyond the dead, avoiding paying them once again. Although Malcolm LaVergne, O.J.’s longtime attorney and current administrator of his estate, stated that he planned to discuss finances with Ron and Nicole’s respective families, he claims that an unanticipated tax bill is posing a new challenge.

Malcolm revealed to TMZ that Simpson’s estate is subject to a $572,402.69 hefty tax lien from the state of California. Malcolm claims this might jeopardize his plans to partially pay O.J. owes the families of his victims $33.5 million from the 1997 wrongful death case. O.J. was judged responsible for Nicole and Ron’s deaths in a Santa Monica civil court despite being cleared of all charges during his murder trial. Despite the $33.5 million judgment, interest on the outstanding debt has reportedly increased to $100 million.

O.J Simpson’s Estate Must Pay Tax Lien 

Malcolm reports that earlier this month in his Las Vegas office, his attorney met with the Goldman family. Additionally, he met with an assignee for Ron’s mother, Sharon Rufo, who put her rights to the judgment up for auction. He alleges a spokesman for Nicole’s estate did not come up, despite being invited. They reportedly looked into O.J. Simpson’s bank accounts, 401(k) plan, tax records, and more. The Goldman attorney and Sharon’s representative were informed that they would be let inside the estate with the goal of fulfilling their judgments.

It’s not clear when this will happen, though. Malcolm says he’s still looking at the estate’s value, particularly in light of the tax lien. He claims that the $500K debt took him off guard. He alleges he may have to file a lawsuit to resolve it before “it wipes out any idea I had in my head to pay Goldman something,” though it “would be nice.” Overall, even though O.J. Simpson is gone, his massive legal and pop-cultural legacy is still in the news.

Earlier this month, disturbing footage of Diddy and his ex-girlfriend Cassie was obtained by CNN and quickly went viral. In the footage, the Bad Boy Records founder is seen assaulting the songstress at a hotel in 2016, kicking her and attempting to drag her through a hallway. It appears to corroborate some of the allegations Cassie made against him in her now-settled lawsuit. The circulation of the footage has prompted countless social media users and peers to weigh in, with most condemning the mogul for his egregious behavior.

Now, following a six-month investigation of Diddy’s allegedly abusive past, Rolling Stone has spoken with The Notorious B.I.G.’s mother Voletta Wallace about the footage. According to her, he owes an apology to both Cassie and his own mother, Janice Combs. She told the outlet that while she had previously taken a liking to Diddy, after seeing the upsetting footage, she’s nothing short of “ashamed.”
