Moneybagg Yo Disses BIG30 On Leaked Song, He Seems To Respond

It seems like Bread Gang Entertainment, Moneybagg Yo’s label, is facing some internal conflict at the moment, as an unreleased diss track seemingly against signee BIG30 surfaced online over the weekend. In it, he claims that there have been sneak disses and behind-the-scenes betrayals on BIG’s part, and that Bagg gave him all the resources necessary for his career. However, the label boss thinks that his artist fumbled the bag and just isn’t connecting with the fanbases anymore, as well as suggesting a gambling addiction. Furthermore, it’s not the best look for the former “GO!” collaborators, and hopefully they can resolve their issues through a clean rap battle or just a heart-to-heart.

However, BIG30 allegedly responded to Moneybagg Yo via a Facebook post from Friday (May 17) after he first heard the unreleased diss track. “And who tf said they gone die bout that lame a** s**t,” the Still King MC reportedly expressed, per AllHipHop. “That don’t even sound like me truth be told n***a recruited my n***a for protection. Sholl hope yeen never thought my n***a had super powers he couldn’t do it by his self fool a** n***a. You came to our hood for the muscle cause them folks starting putting pressure on his a** extortion only!! He still paying n***a to this day to stay off his ahh.

Millyz previously dissed Machine Gun Kelly during an appearance on DJ Cosmic Kev’s The Come Up Show Live, back in November. While rapping over the beat for N.O.R.E.’s “Blood Money Pt. 3,” he labeled MGK “goofy” and defended Jack Harlow after Kelly dissed him. Before that, Millyz took aim at the Cleveland native during an interview with VladTV in 2022. “MGK is garbage,” he said at the time. “He can’t rap, but he got a good rockstar image, but like I’m a real rapper. I really break down bars, syllables and words, so I look past image and flow. A lot of white rappers just came through and did that fast flow and said nothing, so he came in with a rockstar image and all of that, but you’re not nice though.”

Kendrick Lamar Destroys Drake In The Streaming War As “Not Like Us” Nearly Doubles “Family Matters’” Debut

Kendrick Lamar took on Drake in what many are calling the biggest rap battle in the history of the genre. Overall, it was a messy fight with Kendrick taking the win thanks to hit records like “Not Like Us” and diabolical tracks such as “Meet The Grahams.” Although some felt like Drake’s hitmaking abilities would be too much to overcome, Lamar proved people wrong. Now, “Not Like Us” is the number-one track on the Billboard charts, and some are saying that this could be the song of the summer.

Over the last week or so, much has been made of the streaming numbers for all of the diss songs that were released. For instance, fans have been pitting “Family Matters” against “Not Like Us.” According to Rap TV, the Spotify numbers are not looking great for Drake. We say that because “Not Like Us” was streamed 70.9 million times in its first week, while “Family Matters” only hit 38 million streams. That means Kendrick almost doubled what Drake was able to do.

Kendrick Lamar Had A Great Week

Furthermore, Kendrick even outstreamed Drake with “Euphoria” as that song hit a cool 49 million streams. As for Drake, “Push Ups” did 18 million streams although it had been out for a few weeks, so you can’t fault Drizzy for that one. Regardless, “Like That” continued to do huge numbers with 34 million streams. Lastly, “Meet The Grahams” had a great first week with a total of 27.7 million streams. Considering the haunting nature of this song, that is a pretty solid debut. Regardless, it seems as though the people have spoken, and they are giving Kendrick the final W.

Let us know what you thought of the rap battle between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that this was truly a blow out in favor of Kendrick? Which song from the beef are you listening to the most these days? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. Vince Staples Announces Eighth Album ‘Dark Times’ Slated For Release May 24

Screenshot 2024 05 20 at 8.37.26 AM

Vince Staples today announced the release of his eighth studio album, Dark Times, out May 24 via Blacksmith Records / Def Jam Recordings. A new era in the prolific artist’s canon, the album is a muscular and revelatory work refining elements that have been present in his catalog for the last decade: dense lyricism over lush, layered beats; wry, melancholic observations about life; finding pockets of light in an endless dark.

In conjunction with the album announcement, Staples released the first single from the project and accompanying visual for, “Shame on the Devil,” which features him rapping over a warm, spectral beat, ruminating on how anointed his life is now, in spite of bouts of loneliness and fallouts with friends.

Recorded over the course of seven months in North Hollywood, the album title came intuitively to Staples after he listened to the record in full, noticing heavy motifs that kept reappearing. The album cover,  featuring a faintly seen noose, was similarly intuitive.  Calling the project  “a personal achievement,” Staples said, “it’s me mastering some things I’ve tried before that I wasn’t great at in the beginning. It’s a testament to musical growth, song structure—all the good stuff.”

Dark Times follows Staples’ 2022 critically acclaimed album Ramona Park Broke My Heart, which was hailed as one of the best albums of the year by Clash, Complex, The Fader, Rolling Stone, and Vulture among others. The Los Angeles Times praised Staples as “a nimble rapper, deftly maneuvering through verses depicting the street politics of his native Long Beach,” while Pitchfork called the album “a richly detailed, deadpan elegy for his stolen youth.” Complex highlighted it as “a modern West Coast rap album embracing three decades of hip-hop history,” while NME called it “a beautifully personal reflection from start to finish,” with WIRED commending the album as “a remarkable feat in an aesthetic project concerned with locating meaning in the inevitable realities that trap us.”

Demonstrating that his talent cannot be confined to one medium, Staples also wrote, produced, and stars in the critically acclaimed Netflix series The Vince Staples Show, which debuted earlier this year. Inspired by life in his hometown of Long Beach, California, the show was praised as “dark, hilarious, intriguingly frank… laugh-out-loud funny” by Entertainment Weekly, while The New York Times described it as “mordantly funny and visually arresting.” The Guardian hailed it as “a wonderfully surreal exercise in Black creativity,” adding that “[Staples] is an endlessly compelling presence,” with COLLIDER lauding it as “one of the most confident new series of 2024…never a dull moment on screen.”
