Young Buck Questions 50 Cent Feud Origin: “Why Are You Doing This To Me?”

It’s no secret that Young Buck and 50 Cent have had their fair share of differences in the past. According to the Nashville-born performer, however, he’s not quite sure what’s prompted things to go as far as they have. During a recent appearance on Steve-O’s Wild Ride! podcast, Young Buck expressed confusion surrounding his and Fif’s feud, detailing the impact it’s had on his life and career.

Young Buck was kicked out of G-Unit back in 2008 for claiming that 50 Cent failed to pay him royalties. From there, Fif accused him of owing him two G-Unit albums and $250K in 2020, after Young Buck filed for bankruptcy. While he acknowledges having made “mistakes” in the past, Young Buck is unsure what made 50 Cent go after him as aggressively as he has.

Young Buck Doesn’t Know What He Did

“I don’t know what I did to make him want to see me not feed my children,” he began. “50’s his own person, but I would never wish death or wanna see him not be able to feed his family. Yeah, we had our misunderstandings — I don’t even call them beefs. But to do some of the things that he’s done in attempt to try to discredit my name, discredit me as a person, to damage my character and put out all these false narratives of different things in regards to certain cr*ziness that I’ve went through.”

“It’s just like, ‘You rich, my man. You still doing your thing,’” he continued. “‘I love your TV show Power, you know what I mean? Why are you doing this to me? Bruh, we was once brothers. I’ve always looked at you as big brother. Yes, I’ve made mistakes too. It’s been a turbulent time for Kanye West so far this year. Even though we’re less than two weeks into 2024 there’s already been plenty of trouble for the rapper. He reportedly owes nearly a million in taxes and is facing a new lawsuit after punching a fan seeking out an autograph. All the while texts from former collaborator and ally Pusha T leaked online leading fans to speculate that they have beef.

While all of this has been going on West has been spending plenty of time with girlfriend Bianca Censori. He’s been repeatedly posting pictures of her in some notable outfits, some of which are quite scant. In one particularly strange post, he promised that 2024 was a year for “no pants.” In the accompanying picture of Censori that came with the post, she lived up to that promise. While all of this is going on, West has reportedly been working on a new album. The project is called Vultures and it’s a collaboration with Ty Dolla Sign. It was originally slated to be released in December but has gone through a series of new release dates ever since.

The album was supposed to be released tonight January 12, but that release date was eventually wiped from online copies of the record. Earlier today though, a new potential release date appeared. Last month, Jonathan Majors was found guilty of assaulting and harassing his ex, Grace Jabbari. Amid the longwinded trial, audio was played in the courtroom of one of their spats. During the disagreement, Majors demanded that Jabbari be more like Coretta Scott King or Michelle Obama.

Following the verdict, the California-born actor sat down with ABC‘s Linsey Davis for his first post-conviction interview. During the interview, he praised his current partner Meagan Good for standing by him amid the legal battle, once again mentioning the late activist, who was married to Martin Luther King Jr. “She’s an angel,” he said of Good. “She’s held me down like a Coretta. I’m so blessed to have her.” This seemingly got the attention of MLK and Coretta’s daughter, Dr. Bernice King, who appeared to call him out on social media earlier this week.

“My mother wasn’t a prop,” she wrote. While it’s clear that Dr. Bernice King didn’t appreciate the reference, it doesn’t look like Majors minds. He recently came to his own defense amid the debacle, noting how much of an inspiration Coretta Scott King is. During a recent chat with TMZ, he called her “a great woman, a very important figure in American and world history, and someone both Meagan and I are inspired by and deeply admire.”

Elsewhere in his ABC interview, Majors also revealed that he believed the evidence presented was in his favor, describing being “shocked” to hear the verdict. “I’m standing there and the verdict comes down. I say, ‘How is that possible based off the evidence, based off the prosecution’s evidence, let alone our evidence? Faye Webster announced her new album, Underdressed At The Symphony, with a new Lil Yachty collaboration titled “Lego Ring.”

The two appear in the song’s video, where they play a video game together — similar to Guitar Hero or Rock Band, but with way more color. Basically, it’s a perfect fit for the carefree vibes of the song. It was directed by Kyle Ng of Braindead Studios, and viewers can also join in on the fun, with more information available here.

Underdressed At The Symphony will be available for purchase in many forms, including CD, cassette, standard vinyl, and some unique pressings, like “Faye Blue” and a limited-edition B&W bullseye vinyl copy.

Webster is also set to continue touring throughout the summer. She will be doing tours in Australia, New Zealand, and Europe. Fans across the globe can also catch her performing at festivals like Spain’s Primavera Sound, Tennessee’s Bonnaroo, and many more. A complete list of dates can be found here.

In a 2021 interview with Uproxx, Webster said of her friendship with Yachty, “We basically came from the same place and were doing the same thing, so it’s really inspiring to see him thrive. You know, it makes me feel like, ‘OK, well if I work really hard, too…’ I think just sharing ideas with him… What we do is so different, but when we’re together, it doesn’t feel that way at all.”

Lil Nas X, the chart-topping artist known for his boundary-pushing music, finds himself engulfed in controversy once again. This time, it revolves around his alleged acceptance into Liberty University, as the prestigious Christian institution vehemently denies his application.

A Fake Acceptance Letter Exposed

In an unexpected twist, on Jan. 10, a representative from Liberty University shared a statement to TMZ Hip-Hop, refuting the legitimacy of Lil Nas X’s acceptance letter. According to the statement, the university had never heard of him, and the acceptance letter he flaunted on social media was nothing more than a fabrication.

“We can confirm that Liberty University did not issue the Montero Hill ‘acceptance letter’ posted yesterday to social media, and we have no record of Montero Hill applying to the University,” the statement read. “Liberty University exists to glorify God by equipping men and women in higher education in fidelity to the Christian faith expressed through the Holy Scriptures.” “We continue to pray for America and for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be proclaimed across this land. We welcome all to apply and join us at Liberty University.”

The alleged fake acceptance letter was initially shared by Lil Nas X himself on Jan. 9, who claimed he would pursue studies in Christian Leadership and Biblical studies at Liberty University. However, it soon became evident that the entire endeavor was a promotional stunt for his upcoming single, “J Christ,” slated for release on Jan. 12.

As news of the university’s denial spread, users on Twitter (X) couldn’t resist expressing their opinions.

@iqkev commented, “Lil Nas X can’t make a song without stirring up controversy around it,” highlighting the recurring pattern of attention-grabbing antics associated with the artist. Another user, @justvanillaling, voiced their frustration, stating, “I wish Lil Nas X would put as much effort into his music as he does into lying.”
