Lil Yachty Reflects On Drake Friendship & Their Different Creative Processes

Lil Yachty recently discussed his friendship with Drake and how close the two are despite having very different lifestyles. He explained their relationship during an interview with Complex, last week. Yachty revealed that he enjoys staying in and making music, while Drake is more social. Despite the difference, they are still close friends.

“Me and him are kind of different when it comes to lifestyle,” Yachty said. “Like we’re really similar as people, but as far as life, we’re very different. Like, I don’t go out, he loves to go out, he loves to host people, he loves to party and I don’t like people that much.”

He continued: “And I record every day all day, where he kind of is very selective on his recording days as he has more of a life than I do. And, he is much more into actually living life as to where I am literally trying to record music every day. And I don’t know if I get that from him of like, ‘Oh, I should go live a life too,’ because I enjoy not living life, I enjoy making music. This is my fun. I hate going out. So, if anything, I just realized that you can be so similar to somebody yet so different at the same time.”

The comments come as Drake gears up for the release of his new album, For All The Dogs. While he’s kept many of the details close to his chest, he has confirmed that his longtime collaborator, Nicki Minaj, will appear on the project. Charli Baltimore Claims Lance “Un” Rivera Told Her Jay-Z Stabbed Him

Charli Baltimore has been dishing out a lot of tea these days, some of it relating to multi-hyphenate entertainer Lance “Un” Rivera. Moreover, her most recent tale on VladTV concerns the infamous story of when Jay-Z stabbed him at Q-Tip’s album release party in Times Square back in December 2, 1999. Furthermore, Hov pled guilty to second-degree assault for the incident, which allegedly stemmed from his album Vol. 3… Life and Times of S. Carter getting bootlegged before its December 28 release date. He received three years of probation, but it’s clear that the case didn’t stop there.

Back to Charli Baltimore’s account, she recalled to DJ Vlad how she was signed to Un at the time, but denied dating rumors. Apparently, the rapper showed up to the party as everyone started to leave following the stabbing, including Jay-Z himself. That’s when she found Rivera on the ground, who told her: “Jay stabbed me,” according to her. Since then, though, Lance denied that Hov was the one to attack him, contradicting his own guilty plea and the Philly native’s own account. As such, she expressed confusion at how much the story has changed, and as to why Un took his sweet time in clarifying it.

However, that’s not all that the 49-year-old alleged concerning Lance “Un” Rivera. She also claimed that he and Epic Records tried to heavily interfere with her career’s direction. “I feel like, I don’t think that they knew what to do with me as an artist,” Charli Baltimore began. “Everyone seemed to have their own vision of what I should be. And, by me not really knowing anything at that point about the music business, I’m being pulled in one hundred different directions as to what my image should be. I feel like my image is what I was when I got signed. I had red hair. It wasn’t like they sat me down and transformed me or did a makeover. This is how I walked in. Why do we have to change me into some version of myself that I’m not?

“And I don’t know if it was all Un or it was all Un and Sony,” she continued. “But obviously, most of my ‘how I should be conforming’ conversations came from Un,” the Murder Inc. affiliate detailed, calling him “very controlling.” “I think, in his mind, he wanted me to be like a pop rapper. Cher and AE Edwards were recently spotted arm in arm arriving to Valentino’s Paris Fashion Week runway show. The duo showed out, each rocking glamorous black looks, and appearing to be back on after reportedly splitting in May. Cher, 77, wore a sparkling blazer, which she paired with black tights and some chunky boots. The hitmaker topped everything off with eye-catching earrings and a pair of shades.

The 37-year-old kept it simple with black pants and a satin shirt. He also matched the “Believe” performer with a pair of dark sunglasses. Though it’s unconfirmed whether to two of them are back together, new photos suggest they are. Last week, they were spotted enjoying what looked like a double date, alongside J Balvin and his girlfriend Valentina Ferrer.

The double date led many to believe they’re an item again, after Cher called off their wedding earlier this year. After news of their breakup went public, sources claimed they were never really that serious in the first place. Apparently, they weren’t even ever officially engaged. Despite criticism for their 40-year-age gap, it looks like their romance could have been reignited. “Cher knows full well that there’s a lot of skepticism about this romance but she couldn’t care less,” a source told Us in 2021. “She’s reveling in the attention and saying that she and AE have something very special going on that’s made her feel more alive and sexier than ever.”

Rome Streetz Adds Fifth Title In “Noise Kandy” Series

Just a few days ago we covered Rome Streetz’s single with Joey Bada$$ called “Fire At Ya Idle Mind.” The duo was extremely formidable with both lyrical talents showing off their tremendous pen games. This was just a small taste of what was to come for Streetz’s next effort. That comes in the form of Noise Kandy 5, which, of course, is the fifth and most recent installment in the series. A few rappers, as most of you know, have a halo series of projects of sorts like Lil Wayne with Tha Carter.

Well, for Rome this is his signifying series of tapes, which began back on August 3, 2018. According to UndergroundHipHopBlog, this is the London-born rapper’s last mixtape in the Noise Kandy saga. It has been a great run for NY-raised MC, but as the phrase goes, “all good things must come to an end.” So, what is there to know about this mixtape?

Shordie Shordie Addresses Video Of Him Hitting Fan At Recent Concert

Baltimore rapper Shordie Shordie has addressed a video that circulated on social media in which he repeatedly hit a fan throwing gang signs at a recent concert. “That weren’t no man, that weren’t no female, that was a disrespectful ass n-gga who needed to get slapped, And we, we did that. That’s how I go. Out the lips? Slap the lips,” the rapper said in an Instagram video.

During the concert, Shordie stopped performing when he spotted the man in the front row throwing up gang signs and waving a red bandana. The visible unimpressed rapper stared down the fan before rocking him with a right hook. As the man fell to the ground, Shordie and a friend could be seen hitting him at least four more times before the man was escorted from the venue by security. After taking a few moments to compose himself, Shordie continued with his concert. However, he took a moment to yell “What I look like, don’t ever bang on me,” at the man.

Lil Wayne Misses Fan Rush

Other concert shenanigans that thankfully didn’t end in violence recently occurred at a Lil Wayne concert. Wayne hilariously missed a fan rushing the stage at a recent concert. The rapper had turned his back to the crowd to light up when the DJ and security responded to a woman trying to get to Wayne. By the time he turned back around and had begun performing, the woman had already been removed. There were no other reported incidents from the concert in Vegas. Last weekend, Wayne performed during halftime of the Raiders-Steelers game.

Social media users both trolled Wayne and praised his team for handling the situation. “N-gga didn’t even notice 💀,” one person said. “Wayne is not paying attention tho still the dj was like yoooo get her fast good looking Out DJ 👍🏽,” added another while someone else “A+ security for a legend”. “I used to have to pull my kid out the toy section at Target like that 😂,” joked another.

Gunna’s comeback this year has been a wild ride to witness, as it seems the narrative has shifted considerably. There’s still a lot of conversation around his alleged “snitching” in the YSL RICO case, but no one can longer deny that his career hasn’t suffered one bit from it. Moreover, the College Park rapper recently performed at two massive shows, one in New York and another in Los Angeles, the latter of which took place on Thursday (September 28). A big part of this renaissance now was revealed at this show, as he brought out Afrobeats artist Victor Thompson for the concert. They performed his hit “This Year” together, and that’s when Wunna unveiled his secret weapon.

Turns out that he’s remixing “This Year,” and he gave fans a preview of what to expect from it soon. All in all, reactions to Gunna’s performance online were overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the vocal efforts and chemistry between these artists. Still, it doesn’t mean that he completely switched lanes, as his auto-tuned tone and croon remains unmistakeable. The 30-year-old will likely continue to shape his career out from here, as this feels like a second wind.

Kountry Wayne’s Shocking Monthly Child Support Cost Revealed

During his recent appearance on Sherri Shepherd’s talk show SHERRI, Kountry Wayne revealed the shocking cost of his monthly child support payments. The comedian is known to have a large family, which includes 10 littles ones from five different mothers. When Shepherd asked Wayne if he’s “splurged on” anything since dropping his Netflix special last month, he revealed that his family alone is a major expense.

“More than child support?” he responded to Shepherd’s question. “Is that called splurging, because that’s every month.” When she asked him just how much the bill is each month, he spilled. “Oh my goodness,” Wayne began. “Just my family costs me, uh, about [$200K] a month.” He went on to explain why the payments are so high, describing how behind each child, there’s a mother who’s also looking for monthly compensation.

Child Support Costs Kountry Wayne $200K Each Month

“It don’t have to cost me that much,” Wayne said. “It’s just child support comes with baby mama support. Everybody come behind the children with their hands out.” Though it’s no secret that the 35-year-old’s family costs him a pretty penny each month, he did also reveal some purchases that he’s made for himself in the past, including about $1 million in cars. Regardless of the high monthly payments, it’s clear that Wayne’s made room to treat himself.

“It’s a beautiful situation,” he said elsewhere in the interview about his large family. Wayne also explained that most of his children and their mothers live nearby, and all have keys to him home. Though it’s nice to have his family so close, he says that it has the potential to lead to some awkward situations in his dating life. “No girl wants to come there [if] my baby mama’s just laying on the sofa,” he joked. We first covered the Bunnell, Florida rapper a few weeks ago on a single with another rapper who is also getting a lot of attention right now. “Ain’t Original” saw him and the eccentric BLP Kosher team up for a single with plenty of personality and energy. Both have their own respective and signature sounds already, giving them a leg up on the rest of the new faces to rap.

The ROOKIE OF THE YEAR already has a project out for this year with Trench Baby. That record came out back on April 14 and it was purely a solo project. For a rapper who is just trying to make a name for themselves, tackling a full LP with no features is a daunting task, but he managed to do it. Jimm is riding this wave with Highly Favored.
