Ever since Gunna’s release from jail, various pictures floated around the Internet of the rapper before he finally dropped a new project. With these pictures, fans were blown away by his weight loss, and each little hint as to his current state got them excited for a new album. Then, just a couple of weeks ago, he released a Gift & a Curse to commercial success and fan acclaim, just as he started to pop out more in public at events like NBA games. Still, the hype around the College Park MC follows him wherever he goes, and fans always want to know what he’s up to. Moreover, a new picture recently surfaced online of him shirtless at the beach, looking at the waves with a peaceful expression on his face.

A lot of ink spilled over Gunna’s next moves: whether he’d drop a new album, under which label it would be, and so on. Now that we have his new album as context, it’s pretty clear that the 30-year-old is here to stay. On Friday (June 30), he was spotted outside filming a music video for what seems to be an upcoming single. Rihanna wasn’t on set with Rocky today, and it remains unclear when she plans to follow up her two contributions to the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack with more new music. Earlier this afternoon, the soon-to-be mother of two reposted a graphic confirming that she’s “the first female artist to have 10 songs with one billion Spotify streams.” In the caption of her braggadocious post, Rihanna wrote, “Bad Gal billi… Wit no new album… Lemme talk my shit .”

Houston Rockets Look To Trade Kenyon Martin Jr

Kenyon Martin Jr. is the latest NBA player to be linked with a trade this offseason. As the start of free agency approaches, more and more news is emerging about the various plans of some of the league’s biggest stars. June 30 began with indications that a deal to send James Harden to the Clippers was in the works. Meanwhile, Kyrie Irving has gone from one team interested in him to at least six. One of those teams is the Houston Rockets, who are now looking to potentially trade Martin.

Kenyon Martin Jr. played in 82 games this season, starting 49 of them. He averaged a per-game line of 12.5/5.5/1.5. That left him 6th on the Rockets in points per game and 4th in rebounds per game. Taken in the second round of the 2020 draft, Martin Jr. took some major leaps forward in his most recent season. It may be that massive improvement that has the Rockets seeing him as a valuable trade piece.

Per Kelly Iko of The Athletic, trade talks surrounding Martin Jr. has increased in recent days. “To be clear, Martin has not requested a trade since this time last season. But with Houston still seeking avenues to improve their financial flexibility heading into July, Martin’s combination of age, upside and salary makes him an attractive candidate on the market.” Furthermore, the Rockets drafted Villanova SF Cam Whitmore in the first round of the draft. Whitmore’s slide to #20 was one of the biggest surprises of the draft. However, the reality of the situation is that Martin would be battling for minutes with the highly-touted rookie.

The clip features a white tiger, which Moneybagg Yo previously revealed he hasn’t seen in years, rolling around on the ground as a baby.

In an interview with BigBoyTV last month, Moneybagg Yo shared more about the unusual pet. He called the tiger a “stupid purchase,” revealing that he bought it in Houston when it was only a baby. The rapper said he had purchased the pet for around $15K alongside a monkey, which he later gifted to NBA YoungBoy. Back in April, Jamie Foxx suffered a still unknown health crisis while filming a movie. Since then updates on the actors condition have come sparingly. The only statement he’s made himself was a brief one back in May. Foxx posted to his Instagram story with a message to his fans that read “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed.” Representatives for Foxx also had to make a public statement confirming that his medical complication has nothing to do with his Covid vaccinations status.

Now the newest development in Jamie Foxx’s ongoing recovery has to do with construction that’s being done on his mansion. According to Page Six, his 17,000-square foot mansion has been undergoing renovations recently. Pictures they received from his house show a large dumpster filled with construction materials in the mansions back yard. It’s unclear what renovations are being done to the mansion at this time. It’s also unclear whether or not this is where Jamie Foxx has spent much of his recovery time.

Man of the updates on Foxx’s condition have come from his daughter Corinne. She denied a report that his health had taken a turn for the worse. Instead she said he was recuperating and even added that he had “been out of the hospital for weeks.”

Fredo Bang Declares “Free Melly” In New Song

The YNW Melly double murder trial has been one of the biggest hip-hop stories of the year so far. In addition to all the regular case developments, the court mentioned plenty of rappers in their proceedings so far, whether for their involvement or in reference. One that is allegedly involved in the murders Melly stands accused of committing is Fredo Bang. Prosecutors argued that the Baton Rogue rapper picked the Florida MC up after he allegedly fatally shot YNW Juvy and YNW SakChaser. Now, he came through with a track in support of Melly, aptly titled “Free Melly” as many fans online are clamoring.

However, at first glance, the lyrics here don’t reference or talk about YNW Melly’s case at length; he most notably denied giving information in the case. Rather, the 27-year-old got into his storytelling and narrative bag, providing a lot of detailed descriptions of his rough street life and taking down his opposition. Sure, there is one sole mention of Melly, talking about how they’ve been close for a long time and his refusal to talk to the police or court. Other than that, “Free Melly” is a portrait of Fredo Bang’s day-to-day, or instead some of his darkest and most contentious moments. There are some sharp lines here that are meant to hit you in your core rather than make you evaluate the wordplay, and he switches from more easy-going flows to rapid-fire bars.

Meanwhile, the production her is reminiscent of something that NBA YoungBoy would ride with pride (after all, they’re both from Louisiana). Breezy guitars and piano mesh with a mid-tempo trap beat to create a surprisingly bright sonic pallet for the MC to float over.
