‘For What It’s Worth’ Adds Power to BET+ Lineup

'For What It's Worth' Adds Power to BET+ Lineup

For What It’s Worth has been a powerful addition to BET+’s lineup, touching on important themes of family, redemption, and the need for mental health support within the Black community. It’s great to see BET Networks continuing their commitment to highlighting often overlooked issues. The cast and crew were incredibly talented, and their craft resonated with audiences. It’s especially commendable that “BET Her Presents: The Couch” is dedicated to raising awareness around mental health through poignant storytelling.

Starring Patrice Covington (Genius), Leslie Black (Chicago Med), Kevin Savage (Game of Deceit), and Jared Wofford (The Final Say), For What It’s Worth premiered on March 7th, exclusively on BET+.

Written by LaJill Hunt, For What It’s Worth follows Naomi Samuels, a successful physician who finds herself publicly humiliated and suddenly unemployed. Naomi reluctantly returns to her hometown to reconnect with the foster care siblings she’s neglected for years. Hopeful to regain control of her life, Naomi and her siblings face a challenge that takes them all over the edge.

Executive produced by Loretta Edwards Wilson and Christopher A. Nolen, For What It’s Worth is directed by Wilson, Patt Stevens, and Gregory Anderson and co-produced by Lem Collins along with Jared Wofford. Ronald “Wink” Woodall of The Talent Connect served as consulting producer.

For What It’s Worth was produced by A Bold Move Media. The company produces content to uplift, entertain, and portray women of color in ways rarely seen in media.

Lil Wayne Speaks On Whether He’ll Drop A “No Ceilings” Tape Again

Lil Wayne has one of the most legendary mixtape runs of all time, whether you’re looking at Da Drought series, the Sorry 4 The Wait tapes, his classic Dedication projects, or the No Ceilings installments. However, the game is very different to what it was when he exploded onto the scene. As such, the New Orleans legend thinks very differently about the process of dropping mixtapes these days- and their viability as a whole. While on The Pivot Podcast, Weezy answered whether he’d be down to drop another tape in the No Ceilings series, which featured popular rap instrumentals of the time behind his bars. To put it bluntly, it seems unlikely, but his explanation paints a much more complex picture.

The times changed,” Lil Wayne remarked to the hosts when asked about No Ceilings. “So what happened is, back then, I could do that. Nowadays, if I do that, the times have changed so much to where nothing is official as far as [dropping] an official album. They don’t do that. What happened is, as soon as we put that out, Drama might put [on] a whole event, it’s gon’ go down. As soon as it drop, those artists are calling our people like, ‘Aye, we want that to be a single.’

Lil Wayne Responds To Question About No Ceilings‘ Next Installment

“Yeah, and ‘We don’t need no date,’” Lil Wayne continued. “They about to pull that off, pay how much you want to pay for it, boom, that’s the original new verse. Ain’t no such thing as a remix no more, so that’s all it really is. That’s their new single, we [might] shoot a video and everything. And that’s what takes the allure of what I was doing.”

Of course, considering the sample-based concepts of many of his mixtapes, it’s understandable why the Young Money boss’ elevated status makes that run a bit tougher. The times have changed indeed, and an artist of Wayne’s caliber isn’t expected to forego commercial opportunities for the sake of releasing music. That being said, with a Benny The Butcher collab on the horizon, there will surely be no shortage of excellent verses from Tunechi. On that note, keep checking in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Wayne.

NBA YoungBoy & Rap Snacks Team Up For Official Snack Collaboration

NBA YoungBoy is one of the hottest rappers in the game right now; does that mean he likes his chips spicy? Guess we’ll find out, since Rap Snacks recently announced that they welcomed YB into the food company’s family by releasing his own Rap Snack soon. While we don’t have any information on what flavor it’ll be as of writing this article, fans wasted no time in guessing. Whether it was legitimate answers like garlic or spicy nacho or more outlandish, meme-centric options like cigarette butts or gunpowder, this is clearly not your typical Rap Snack. In addition, the Black-owned brand also introduced Kodak Black to their repertoire, so we’ll see what these two MCs bring to the dinner table for a pre-meal delight.

Of course, YoungBoy usually sticks to his music rather than rack up extracurriculars, so this is an exciting move for him. What’s more is that it could be one of many routes he recently embarked on to spread his branding and image around outside of the many mixtapes and albums he releases. For example, rumors surfaced online of the Baton Rouge rapper making his own sneaker. That’s just based on a shoe he wore being engraved with “Grave Digger” on the tongue, and it’s unclear whether it’s just a custom pair or a sneak peek at an upcoming release.

Still, it’s not like the 23-year-old necessarily needs any of these partnerships to go to the next level. After all, his cult and dedicated fanbase is a steady stream of revenue, engagement, and support that many artists would probably drop hundreds of thousands for. By that same token, though, it’s a group of diehards that will most likely (and now literally) eat up anything that YoungBoy puts out, so the more they can connect with, the better. In any case, if these new Rap Snacks don’t do it for you as a fan, at least the three YB projects out this year so far keep you fed.

Meanwhile, the Richest Opp rhymer recently released a new track titled “I Need To Know.” Furthermore, it formed part of the Never Broke Again compilation project, Green Flag Activity, Vol. 2. Perhaps he prepared some other projects for us in 2023 as well. On that note, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on NBA YoungBoy.

Gunna Hits The Beach In Newly Surfaced Pic

Ever since Gunna’s release from jail, various pictures floated around the Internet of the rapper before he finally dropped a new project. With these pictures, fans were blown away by his weight loss, and each little hint as to his current state got them excited for a new album. Then, just a couple of weeks ago, he released a Gift & a Curse to commercial success and fan acclaim, just as he started to pop out more in public at events like NBA games. Still, the hype around the College Park MC follows him wherever he goes, and fans always want to know what he’s up to. Moreover, a new picture recently surfaced online of him shirtless at the beach, looking at the waves with a peaceful expression on his face.

A lot of ink spilled over Gunna’s next moves: whether he’d drop a new album, under which label it would be, and so on. Now that we have his new album as context, it’s pretty clear that the 30-year-old is here to stay. After all, he carried 15 tracks on his back with no features, and still ended up selling quite well in his first week. That being said, his status when it comes to his peers in the rap game is still up in the air, even if fans have mostly turned around on him.

On one hand, a lot of people really enjoyed a Gift & a Curse within the industry, with people such as Joe Budden giving it props. However, his supposed beef with rappers like Lil Durk and Lil Baby leaves his career future as far as collaborations quite uncertain. He recently unfollowed both of them on Instagram, giving further context to their subliminal disses. It’s a shame because Gunna is one of the leaders of the new generation, and his team-ups with his fellow new gen leaders made for very special tracks.

Meanwhile, all of this discussion mostly came from fans and social media users who couldn’t be farther from his plea deal. As such, time will probably paint a different picture when it comes to this issue than what we see today. Most importantly, the artist is enjoying himself amid a lot of these questions and contentions. For more news and the latest updates on Gunna, check back in with HNHH.

Gunna Keeps Stunning Fans With Weight Loss In Newly Surfaced Picture

Yet another recent picture of Gunna surfaced online, and people are still blown away by his weight loss journey. Perhaps that’s reading too deeply into it, as we don’t know if he’s exactly proud of it or if it came as a result of more negative circumstances. Regardless, fans are excited about these new sightings, mostly because they want him to drop new music already. Considering his stint in prison and subsequent controversial plea deal, it wouldn’t be surprising if he waits even more. However, given recent hints straight from the College Park MC himself, maybe that won’t be the case.

Moreover, the Drip Season artist recently replied to a fan’s post on Instagram that asked what many fans are also wondering. “Gunna where tf are you?” the picture’s text read. “I’m OTW [blue “P” emoji],” he replied in the comments section. As such, maybe that was the unofficial start of a soon-to-come rollout for a new single, project, or something else entirely. What’s more is that other reports indicate that he’ll be switching things up quite drastically.

New Picture Of Gunna Surfaces Online

For example, DJ Akademiks claimed that Gunna wants out of his deal with YSL and has a whole new album ready to drop. According to the media personality, the 29-year-old wants to drop already but doesn’t have anyone in his corner to help him do so. As a result, he’s apparently looking to bring his efforts elsewhere and might be patiently waiting on how Young Thug and YSL’s RICO case develops. Whatever the case, it’s certainly a sticky situation for him, as others in the industry have already cut their ties with him in one way or another.

Still, that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have a rabid fanbase that is ready to hear him whenever he does release new music. While his relationship with YSL is unclear, it seems like a lot of his hardcore fans want to hear him regardless. After all, the legal battle he escaped, however wrongfully, is something that fans don’t want to hear pop up in their playlists. If they do, it’s purely to gaggle at the spectacle. Hopefully that’s not the route he goes down (if any), and doesn’t make money at the expense of his former crew. With that in mind, stay posted on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Gunna.

Rick Ross Drops $5 Million On Porcelain Floors

Rick Ross just took to Instagram to flex his $5 million porcelain floors, which he seems curiously proud of. “I want you to see this, too,” he told his followers. “‘Antolini, made in Italy.’ No, this is none of that other stuff. This is made in Italy! You see that? You see that? See how them things line up? I’mma do this over 55,000 square feet, 5 million. The biggest, you heard me? I’mma be doin’ a moonwalk on you n***as.

“This real motivation for the true hustlers,” the Florida MC continued. “When this home was built, 25 million was spent by the previous owner. Look at the marble floors, come on. Many, many years ago, but you see. It’s nothing but respectable and honorable, but this the difference. Antolini! That’s porcelain, it’s a big difference between porcelain and marble. And it ain’t just tiles. You see the difference in them tiles, you see that? Them boxes, these slabs. That’s one slab, slab, slabs!”

Rick Ross Shows Off $5 Million Porcelain Floors

Of course, if you’re not one for extravagant home decor, maybe this flex seems a little ridiculous. However, since when has Ross not taken the opportunity to present himself with the wealth he’s worth? Moreover, he invited Rod Wave into his million dollar Super Bowl skybox, which a few rappers actually stopped by. Every movement he makes is coated in luxury, as grand and opulent as his guest verse on “Devil In A New Dress.” While he recently made headlines for taking a photo with Chrisean Rock and angering Blueface, those worries seem beyond his tax bracket.

Meanwhile, many are excited to see the Carol City rapper at Nelly’s upcoming Hot In Herre Festival. Alongside acts like Ne-Yo and T.I., Ross will take the stage in Toronto this June 24th. In fact, it’s quite the 2000s nostalgia trip especially for fans of rap and R&B, with other acts including Fat Joe and Akon. Still, his extravagant persona doesn’t mean he’ll buy anything. For example, he recently stated hilariously that he won’t buy a Tesla out of fear of getting hacked. Regardless of your take on that, check back in with HNHH for the latest on Rick Ross.

6ix9ine Announces Israel Tour, Launches New Instagram Page

6ix9ine just announced new shows in Israel and the launch of a new Instagram page. It seems that snitch labels failed to stop him from keeping his hustle up, as he’s now looking internationally for concert gigs. Moreover, he booked a headline performance at Rishon Lezion’s Live Park Amphitheater in Israel. Not only that, but the event will feature other Israeli rappers like Peled, Shahar Soul, and Eden Derso. Also, Tekashi also announced a new Instagram page with his friend Leyh. Even though it’s only about a day old, it already has almost 250,000 followers as of writing this article.

Furthermore, tickets for the “GUMMO” rapper’s Israel show begin at NIS 300 or around $85, according to Y Net News. His newest Instagram page, The Biggest Opp, might reflect him setting up more big things in the summer and wanting to become just that. Moreover, he wrote about the new account on his verified page. “I start today follow @thebigggestttoppp that’s my second page but ima post there more then here,” he wrote. “Im with my friend @madaboutleyh. We on a girls trip. So, like yeah please nobody get mad at me :/ or her please fr.

“We out here livin life,” the Brooklyn artist continued. “Tranna make it. Fr fr I don’t even f**k wit future but he made that song bout my life he told me that fr fr ask Boston Richey. But any way suck my d**k see me when u see me.” While that post seemingly disappeared from his page, he does address the account in his Valentine’s Day message.

“HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO ALL THE GIRLS GETTING CHEATED ON,” he expressed. “STARTING TOMORROW I CHANGE MY LIFE AROUND. I HAD FUN, I LOVED EVERY MOMENT OF VACATION. BUT THIS YEAR IM GIVING YOU ME. 69 + DANNY. @thebigggestttoppp IS MY NEW PAGE THAT WILL BE MY EVERYDAY PAGE FOLLOW.” For what it’s worth, the rapper and his friend already posted some vacation snaps on their Instagram Story. Regardless, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest antics, new Instagram posts, tour, and updates on 6ix9ine.
