Rick Ross Welcomes His Neighbors Speaking Against His Car Show: ‘I Never Got Nothing Easy’

Rick Ross Welcomes His Neighbors Speaking Against His Car Show: 'I Never Got Nothing Easy'

Rick Ross faces opposition for his upcoming car show at his Promiseland mansion. But if you ask Rozay, his challenges are supposed to happen.

Rozay hit his Instagram story and spoke about the backlash he receives from his neighbors.

“I wouldn’t even feel right if they wasn’t boycotting boss becuase I never got nothing easy. It was never handed to you. I would be confused if they just let me get the money when everybody else just met big rich producers and got record deals and got rich. Rozay had to do it a whole nother way. I would be confused if they wasn’t boycotting the boss.”

In case you missed it, a report from local WSB-TV states the rapper’s neighbors pulled up to the local Board of Missioners in Georgia and complained about Rozay’s car show and how it impacted traffic.

With the car show set to happen again in 2023, Rozay’s neighbors have created and passed a petition to shut down the show. The show is believed to bring over 6,000 fans to the area. The Concert, Car, and Bike show is set for Ross’ estate on Highway 279.

One neighbor stated, “Our quality of life was unnecessarily compromised.”

Another added, “We feel locked out. It took me 40 minutes to get out of my subdivision.”

The show is currently set for June 3 and has Lil Wayne booked.

This isn’t the first time Ross has had issues down at his home in Georgia. Just a month ago, Rozay had problems with the buffaloes roaming the land. Buffaloes are enormous animals that can weigh up to 2,000 pounds. His property, his problem, right? Sure, until the buffaloes marched over to a neighbor’s property and could potentially cause an issue for her small children.

TMZ notes the animals were on Rozay’s neighbor’s lawn, which she discovered when she came home from work. After visiting Ross’ home to talk about the animal, a verbal dispute happened, leading to a civil dispute later.

Additional animals at Rick Ross’s home include four horses and a bull.

You can see the buffalo below.

Jermaine Dupri Offers Clarity To Forthcoming Freaknik Doc: ‘My Vision Is Really a Story About Atlanta’

Jermaine Dupri Offers Clarity To Forthcoming Freaknik Doc

Once the news of Jermaine Dupri’s Freaknik documentary hit the Internet, social media users of a certain age were copping pleas and sending warnings. At the same time, younger generations were curious to see what happened. Dupri pulled up to The Tamron Hall Show and spoke about the documentary, revealing it won’t be what many expect it to be.

“My vision of Freaknik is really a story about the South and Atlanta,” Dupri said. “It’s not really a story about what everybody keeps talking about. I don’t like that part because I feel like it’s a little disrespectful because I’m just telling a story of Atlanta, right? And how Atlanta was built into the place that it is today.”

He added, “People came to Atlanta through Freaknik and they stayed and that’s how Atlanta has become this multicultural place.”

You can hear JD talk about it below.

In a previous video uploaded to Instagram, Dupri revealed the doc was underway for Hulu. “This the first day of us shooting for the Freaknik documentary,” Dupri said. “So everybody that missed freaknik, we gon’ show y’all what y’all missed.”

Freaknik started off in 1983 when students from the Atlanta University Center (Morehouse College, Spelman College, and Clark Atlanta University) came together to throw a small picnic in a park near the campus for students who could not afford to go home for spring break.

Freaknik was an annual event that eventually expanded into a festival in the 1990s, complete with concerts, a basketball tournament, dance competitions, and even a job fair. About 300,000 people from all over the nation would attend the event at its peak.

But by 1999, Freaknik had relocated to the nearby Georgia county of DeKalb. However, due to increased police activity, the festival’s celebrations would become less vibrant. Former Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed formally outlawed Freaknik and all associated activities in 2010.

There have been attempts to bring Freaknik back, but they have not been successful in attracting the same audience and attention as they did when it was popular.

Following the cancellation of Red Table Talk, among all other Facebook originals, Jada Pinkett-Smith released a statement on Instagram.

“We are so grateful to have had such a beautiful partnership with Facebook Watch and we are sorry to see the entire team disband. We wish everyone well in their new journeys to come.

We at Red Table are in talks of finding a new home, and we’ll see you soon.”

Jada Pinkett Smith’s popular talk show is now being shopped around after an executive shakeup at Meta, Facebook’s parent company, has occurred.

With that decision, Red Table Talk is not returning to FB Watch as the video platform will now shift to VR experiences. Red Table Talk was the last remaining FB Watch original, and now, according to Deadline, the show starring Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith, and Adrienne Banfield Norris will look for a new location.

There is currently no report of where the show could land.

Troy Ave Speaks On Having To Go To Jail, Gives Graphic Details Of Taxstone Shooting

Troy Ave might have helped the court give Taxstone a guilty verdict for manslaughter for shooting his entourage back in 2016, but he still has to go to jail on attempted murder and weapon possession charges. Moreover, he recently took to Instagram to voice his frustrations. “And would you believe after all the evidence I still gotta go to jail,” he wrote. “Even tho I feel like ‘it’s self defense.’ Even tho I feel like ‘my friends shoulda took some of the weight off my shoulders.’ But regardless of all that ima take whatever comes with this, with my chin up and 10 toes down. I hope y’all use me as an example and learn from my mistakes.”

Furthermore, Troy Ave also recently spoke to Nick Cannon on his new show The Daily Cannon. During their conversation, he gave an incredibly detailed account of how the Irving Plaza shooting went down. For those unaware, Taxstone shot and killed Ave’s bodyguard Ronald “Banga” McPhatter after a dispute broke out. After years of incarceration, delayed trials, and lengthy proceedings, the court found Taxstone guilty of the crime. Now, the New York rapper told the show host a graphic testimony of that day’s events.

Troy Ave Reflects On Having To Do Prison Time For Taxstone Shooting Case

“If I’ma die, I’ma die fighting,” Troy Ave began. “I’m not just gon’ be on the floor like, ‘Oh, I’m hit.’ And let the person that shot me and my man get away. Like f**k it, we all gon’ die in this b***h then. Now we fighting for the gun and s**t, he start squeezing those shots. I’m biting the n***a on his neck, he’s biting my forearm. I managed to get more control of the gun than him, I just start pistol-whipping him. I turn around to make sure everyone I came in with is good… We leave out the room, and this is the part they showed on the media. This is the part that made it look like Troy Ave came into a club recklessly and started shooting.

“What people don’t realize is I was coming out of a VIP room where I was attacked and I was shot. When I’m shooting, is when I see him,” he concluded. The feud between him and Taxstone has lasted seven years now, and hasn’t gotten any prettier. You can hear the MC speak for himself down below. Cardi B Serves Multiple Incredible Looks At The 2023 Met Gala

While a lot of celebrities can say that they slayed at the 2023 Met Gala, few can say they slayed multiple times. However, Cardi B came to the biggest night in celebrity fashion with a strict mission: kill the competition three times over. Moreover, she first donned an extravagant and sparkly pink dress with peacock-like plumage behind her. Then, she changed into tight black ensemble with a white shirt and black tie, with her massive black rose-adorned crinoline being the main attraction. To wrap up the night, she simplified that fit by keeping her silver hair, but changing into a black-and-pink patterned dress.

Of course, Cardi B is no stranger to showcasing her astonishing style at the Met Gala. In fact, many fans on social media took the chance to reflect on her past outfit choices at the event. What’s more is that, this time around, she paid fitting and well-executed tributes to the gala’s theme. Furthermore, fans traced back her first two fits to some of Karl Lagerfeld’s iconic looks. Even for those unfamiliar with their inspiration, they still expressed admiration for her style.

Cardi B Wows At The 2023 Met Gala

Meanwhile, the Bronx native recently had a dismissive and funny comment towards her haters. Three Different Looks, Three Different Stunners

N.O.R.E Says He And Cam’ron Are “Good” After Apparent Diss

In the media world, and especially in the free-form thoughts in the podcasting space, you have to be careful with your words. Moreover, an appearance on The Joe Budden Podcast made N.O.R.E. start a brief spat with Dipset legend Cam’ron. For those unaware, Noreaga made some comments on the show about rappers flexing their extracurricular ventures without really being as successful as they think. Not only that, but the fact that Joe Budden and Killa Cam already have beef must have painted this issue in a worse light. Still, the Drink Champs host took to Twitter to say that he and the New York rapper cleared the air. On his Instagram Story, Cam posted the tweet along with heart and flexing emojis.

“Just spoke to cam we good!!!” N.O.R.E. wrote on Twitter. Furthermore, this came after he already denied dissing Cam’ron, who has his own sports and cooking show. “Me and you are friends from the 90s,” the podcast titan wrote. “You have my real life phone number. You hung out with me for days before you did Drink Champs just to make sure I was the same yalla that you know. If you thought at any time I was going at you, Why would you go to the internet 1st?”

N.O.R.E. & Cam’ron Settle Down Their Presumed Beef

While N.O.R.E. and Cam’ron are “good” now, the latter’s words against Joe Budden make it clear that there’s still animosity there. “Damn @therealnoreaga told you I couldn’t trust you. Lolol. Im just f***ing wit ya,” the 47-year-old expressed. “But what other rapper from the 90’s got the sports and cooking show? U know u my n***a for life. But ya man h*e buddons threw u under the bus on the very Nx episode said he didn’t know who u was talking bout. I don’t give a f**k how his numbers is N.O. Stay away from that crack head!!!!”

Meanwhile, the Diplomats MC boasts more than a few notable interview-adjacent antics, most notably his infamous “You mad?” interview with Bill O’Reilly. Recently, he elaborated on how that came about. “At the time, I was at Roc-A-Fella and they had a great publicist at the time,” he recalled. “A lot of these opportunities were presented but people were scared to take the opportunity. So particularly with the Bill O’Reilly ‘You Mad’ situation, they was like, ‘You want to go on Bill O’Reilly?’ I’m like, ‘I don’t know who Bill O’Reilly is. Who is that? Not really.’” Still, he took on the chance and the rest is history. For more news and updates surrounding N.O.R.E. and Cam’ron, come back to HNHH.
