Drake‘s busy after the release of his collaborative album with 21 Savage, Her Loss. He won big at the Grammys even though he didn’t submit his music; he settled a lawsuit with Vogue after their mischievous fake magazine made during the record’s promotional cycle.
Now, the rapper got a new hairdo. His hairstylist Brie Marie shared the look on social media, and it’s no joke. He flexes a braid design similar to the logo of his label and fashion imprint OVO.
“I already hear y’all now lol ‘Drake Got an Owl Braided in his head,’” she wrote in the caption. “It’s only right to make this a reality. I’d be lying if I say I don’t shock myself. [handshake emoji] TIME AND TIME Again. God thank you, you’ve truly blessed me.”
In an interview with Li Yachty, he said about Drake, “I said, ‘Man, I remember there was a point in time when you were about to release music, and everyone was like, ‘Man, I’m about to call my ex. Like, oh man, I’m finna cry,”” he said. “That was a time period. And that’s when people thought when Drake was finna drop, you thought like, ‘Oh man, I’m about to get back with my ex-girlfriend.’ You felt like emotions were about to be pulled out of you.”
Jess Hilarious Responds To Master P, Says She’s Not “Playing”
The debates between Master P and his artistic collaborators continue, as Jess Hilarious recently responded to his claims. Moreover, Hilarious said that she was “not playing” about payments P owes her, in response to his dismissal of her complaints. Furthermore, she said that the complaint was never about a second check not arriving, but rather missing upfront payments. For those unaware, this debacle began when Fat Trel said Master P had unfulfilled promises when it came to movie deals, music releases, and general support as a business partner. Still, Hilarious built off of his testimony to go at the No Limit boss for his dubious dealings.
“Ayo, nah, I ain’t read this part,” Jess remarked about P’s comments on the situation. “He’s like ‘She’s just joking, she be playing, y’all know her. She was joking about a second check that was never in her contract. That’s the narrative they ran with for clickbait and fake headlines. Thank God for receipts!’ You think out of everybody out there right now, I’mma come after you for clickbait and fake headlines? I don’t have to do that, sir! Now, he playing around with me, because I never said it was a second check. It was money paid upfront and then it was supposed to have been another $15,000. Yeah, I didn’t get the other half of my money. Stop playing with me like this was check 1, check 2. No.”
Jess Hilarious Checks Master P Again
For his part, the New Orleans mogul took to Instagram and made various comments about these accusations. “I love @jesshilarious_official and I know she was just cracking jokes because she signed her contract and got paid what she was owed for I Got The Hook Up 2 but if she tryna squeeze me for another 10k she got that.” Also, in reference to the Fat Trel situation, he made a difference between artistry and business, shading those he deems ungrateful. “That’s one of the reasons why I got out of the music industry and into the product game. Product don’t talk back.”

Alec Baldwin Pleads Not Guilty In “Rust” Case
Alec Baldwin pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter. Additionally, he waived his court appearance on Friday. Currently, Baldwin is not in jail, free without having to post a bond to the government. He was originally going to make his first court appearance on Friday on Google Meet. However, he chose to submit his not-guilty plea through a court filing instead. Therefore, he will not have to do it in court and will not be due in court until the preliminary hearing begins. In the official trial, he faces up to 18 months in prison. Obviously, this will only occur if he is convicted in connection to the Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins‘ tragic death.
The Santa Fe D.A.’s allegations against Baldwin state that he acted with “criminal negligence” when he fired a loaded weapon. The incident occurred while preparing for a scene. The incident occurred at the Bonanza Creek Ranch in October 2021. However, Baldwin has denied these allegations, even prior to pleading not guilty. He has said that others were responsible for making sure the gun was not loaded. Hannah Gutierrez Reed, the armorer of Rust, will make her first court appearance on Friday. She will appear under the accusation of involuntary manslaughter. According to reports, She was responsible for making sure all rounds in the gun were dummies.
Alec Baldwin Still Not In The Clear
On Monday of this week, prosecutors dropped the firearm enhancement charge. The charge could have added an additional five years to Baldwin and Gutierrez Reed’s sentences. It would have allowed for extra punishment for the actual “discharge” of the weapon in the course of a felony. However, this did not apply to the Rust case. The enhancement charge took effect seven months after the shooting took place. Furthermore, Baldwin is set to head to Montana in spring to complete the film. The creation process was suspended after the tragic accident on set.
In October, producers announced a settlement with Hutchins’ husband, Matthew. He will become an executive producer of the film. Additionally, the filmmakers of Rust have said that they will finish the film as a tribute to Hutchins’ final work and overall talent. Additionally, they will be working with a documentary crew to tell the story of Hutchins’ career. This documentary will include the story of Hutchins’ time on Rust. Baldwin and Gutierrez Reed will have a preliminary hearing within 60 days of pleading not guilty to their accused charges. They will appear in person for the preliminary hearing, where prosecutors will give evidence to convince a judge to request a trial.

2023 is proving as a hot revival year for Rihanna, who is confirmed to perform in this year’s Oscars. “Lift Me Up,” which was of Riri’s rare releases since her 2016 Anti album, will be performed live. The track was released on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack, which also features Stormzy, Tobe Nwigwe, and CKay. This soft and soulful ballad is also up for the Best Original Song award this year. Variety reports that this nomination marks the Barbadian singer’s first Oscars recognition.

Last year, the Academy Awards made headlines for the controversial feud between host Chris Rock and Will Smith. The infamous slap that ensued has reportedly caused the award ceremony to enact a crisis team this year. Jake Paul and Tommy Fury are gearing up to fight one another on Sunday. Overall, this is going to be a massive fight for both of these men. As many of you already know, these two are both undefeated. However, they are each facing different criticisms and demons. For instance, Paul has yet to fight a real boxer and fans want him to finally do so. Moreover, Tommy Fury is living in the shadow of his brother Tyson, and they want him to break free from that association.
With the fight set to take place in just a few days from now, both Paul and Fury are in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The two got to partake in their pre-fight press conference, and as you can imagine, it was a whole lot of fun. Both of them were getting into it, and when they did the face-to-face pose, there was a bit of a scuffle. Overall, it is everything you would come to expect from a Paul and Fury press conference. Subsequently, the two need to drum up some paperwork to make this official. Of course, it isn’t the first time Paul has made a wager with an opponent. At this point, this fight is extremely difficult to predict. However, it is clear that both of these men desperately want to win the fight. RZA Disagrees With Lil Duval Saying Afrobeats Being “The Death Of Hip Hop”
Lil Duval’s recent tweet about Afrobeats has grabbed RZA’s attention. The genre has gained mainstream steam within the last few years, and it’s only reaching new heights as award shows filter in unique categories. Artists like Burna Boy and Tems are amassing global success, but Duval says, “Afrobeats might be the death of hip hop as we know it.” The tweet caused a firestorm of reactions, and TMZ wanted to know RZA’s thoughts.
“I don’t understand that. What you mean by that?” the Wu-Tang icon asked. After receiving clarification, he issued a more flushed-out response. “Afrobeats is Hip Hop. They basically doing their form of Hip Hop. Just like Trap was Hip Hop, just like G-Funk was Hip Hop. It’s just their rendition. And you know what? They deserve a chance, just like the rest of us deserve a chance, for our music to be heard around the world, inspire, and feed families.”
RZA Weighs In On Podcasting In Hip Hop
The cameraperson didn’t want RZA to run off just yet. The photog also wanted to know his thoughts on Lil Duval saying that podcasting has become more important in Hip Hop than the actual music. “I think those people are on a different planet than us,” he replied. The paparazzo mentioned The Joe Budden Podcast. “Joe is being successful, N.O.R.E he’s being successful. They deserve that success. But at the same time, right, we just did the New York State of Mind Tour. No algorithms, no streaming. Sold out Hollywood Bowl and so many places.”
“Hip Hop is embedded within its culture, and nothing’s gonna stop that,” RZA continued. “So, we’re going to continue to grow and find other outlets and avenues.” Conversations surrounding the surge of Hip Hop podcasters were recently reignited during Noreaga’s appearance on Budden’s platform. The two joked about their peer launching podcasts but failing miserably. Budden went on to say that he likes to see those failures.

Jaylen Brown Spotted With Bernice Burgos, Sparks Relationship Rumors
Jaylen Brown spent the past week on All-Star break. The NBA All-Star weekend from Feb. 17-19 showcased some of the best skills, shooting, and dunks from basketball’s best. Included in that was the NBA All-Star game, which Brown competed in for the second time in his career. Although he had a few sour comments about the competitiveness of the game, he was still honored to be a part of it. This break also gives the NBA players a few days off from competition to rest. But, it seems that JB spent a few of those days with his new boo.
This week, a photo began to surface of Brown cozied up with socialite and influencer Bernice Burgos, Brown (26) and Burgos (42) were spotted together at a possible beach location, which sparks relationship rumors. Neither of the two has been linked to other romances lately. In the past, Burgos has had flings with rappers like T.I., Drake and Quavo, but it now seems she’s moved on to an elite athlete in Brown.

On Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14), Burgos posted on Instagram a heartfelt presentation from her mystery partner. At the time, followers didn’t know who her man was, but it now seems to have been Jaylen. While neither side has confirmed a relationship, all the pieces add up for Jaylen Brown and Bernice Burgos to be the last celebrity match.

Lil Wayne Speaks On Supporting Drake From The Jump
Sometimes it’s a bit tough to talk about other rappers due to the genre’s competitive nature, but that spirit can also garner a lot of respect in the game. Lil Wayne recently spoke about supporting Drake since the onset of his career on his recent Apple Music interview with Zane Lowe. While Weezy’s already started Tha Carter VI season with a new single, he also took time to reminisce on one of his protegés. During his conversation with Zane Lowe, the New Orleans rap titan praised Drake’s persistence, vision, determination, and hunger to best his competition. Given their incredible run through Young Money and beyond, Wayne clearly placed his bets well.
“It was easy for me,” the 40-year-old said of nurturing the career of the rising 6 God. “It was obvious. I saw what he could be and would be. It was easy for me to keep motivating him and letting him know what it is. You have to see it to believe it. It was very simple. Doing a song with me. It was just that simple. Him knowing ‘I can go blow for blow with you on a joint’ — that was his motivation. That’s his chip.” Even in normal conversation, Weezy drops some crazy bars, and that joint line is no different. Anyway, his words make sense given that the Canadian superstar always had somewhat of a chip on his shoulder. While many took time to appreciate his artistic and commercial contributions to the game, his will and skill were evident from the jump to artists like Tunechi. Of course, Drake was the first, and not the last one, to thank him for his vision.

Also, the “Let The Beat Build” MC spoke during that interview on preferring creativity over competition in hip-hop. Sure, it might slightly undercut some of his praise of Drizzy here, but preference isn’t the same as dismissal. “This is creativity,” he remarked. “No one gets behind a mic, approaches a song, and says ‘I’m making a song so it can be better than this one.’ If we all approached it that way, yeah it’d be a competition. This is creativity. Any individual who creates, this is their individuality. They’re putting their growth and creativity out there for you to enjoy. But we also know this is what the world does, so we have no problem with it.”
Meanwhile, fans are as excited as ever for Wayne’s next studio project. “Everybody already know… you already know… come on… it’s Carter VI,” he stated about his next album. “I never even imagined.
