Eminem And Cardi B’s Mutual ‘Love’ For Each Other Boils Down To Their Shared Controversial Personality Trait

For the larger part of Eminem’s career, the “Temporary” rapper has been viewed as a pot stirrer. The same can be said of Cardi B. However, Eminem chalks it up to something much more simple–not giving a sh*t about other people’s unwarranted opinions.

During an appearance on Sirius XM’s Shade 45 channel, Cardi B was a topic of conversation. When asked for his thoughts on the “Like What (Freestyle)” rapper, Eminem discussed his “mutual love” for Cardi B after host DJ Whoo Kid stated how she would “rave” about her admiration for him in her earlier career.

“I love Cardi too,” he said.

Paul Rosenberg, Eminem’s manager, jumped in to say: “Does not give a f*ck.”

Eminem echoed that adding: “Not one.”

The pair went on to subtly reference why Eminem and Cardi B’s mutual respect for one another could stem from their shared controversial personality trait — being unapologetically blunt.

“She says exactly what’s on her mind and is not afraid of nobody,” said Rosenberg, doubling down on his statement.

“I used to be like that,” Em comically replied.

Eminem being afraid to voice his opinion is hard to believe considering his long list of shocking remarks. But, he isn’t as brazen as he was in the early 2000s.

Drake Nearly Says ‘F*ck Kendrick’ Before Catching Himself And Thinking Better Of It

On the day after Christmas yesterday (December 26), Drake teamed up with streamer Adin Ross for a livestreamed event dubbed the “Drizzmas Giveaway.” During the broadcast, though, Drake narrowly avoided a Kendrick Lamar-related slip-up.

While reading a letter from a fan out loud (as seen in this video), he got to a part that said, “…and it’s always ‘f*ck Kendrick.’” Drake cut himself off halfway through Lamar’s first name, though, saying, “Oh, I am not reading that,” before chuckling as he continued reading the letter.

Meanwhile, while initially announcing the event, Drake said (as Complex notes), “People often ask me what was the best day of my life, and there’s so many memories with family, album releases, shows, fans showing deep appreciation for the craft, but my answer is the same every time: the two days I shot ‘God’s Plan’ were the best days of my life. The joy that I experienced on those days, making other people happy, changing their week or their month or their year was an irreplaceable feeling. And that’s why, this December 26, Stake, along with me and Adin Ross, are doing the biggest streaming giveaway of all time.”

Indeed, it was a major giveaway, as prizes included a year’s worth of rent, a trip to Australia to see a Drake show, and $250,000.

While we are way past the tense and exhilarating back and forth between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, we are still getting some little jabs here and there. Most of them are conjecture though, as they have been much more subtle the blatant diss tracks. Overall, Kendrick has been playing it very cool since claiming victory over the summer. He’s been doing so with some low-key bars on GNX and on his SZA collab, “30 For 30.” He’s not necessarily making it an effort to taunt The Boy, but he’s letting everyone know “I own this guy, but I don’t need to outwardly state it.” As for Drake, well, things aren’t going anywhere near as swimmingly.

A lot of folks feel he’s been spiraling since taking the loss, especially thanks to his UMG petitions. That court situation is currently on hold as it was supposed to begin about a week ago. Moreover, his public comments and shade toward Kendrick have just come across as flaccid and kind of cringe-worthy. He’s been going in the opposite direction, with many feeling he should have been in the booth instead of the courtroom.

Why Would Drake Say This?

But he’s gone against that and instead been using livestreams, social media posts, and the like to carry out his verbal attack. For example, he did so during his “Drizzmas Giveaway” with Adin Ross last night. The livestream was created to gift some incredibly generous gifts such as cars, money, vacations, and more. However, some cannot ignore some of the things Drake said during it.

Throughout the event he was shouting out multiple artists like Future, Young Thug, Tory Lanez, among others. One of those artists was Sexyy Red, one his most recent but frequent collaborators. He made sure to show her love, while also encouraging the chat to do the same. “She is me!” She’ll be like, ‘Man, I’m always with you, man. I just be thinking about you, man.’… Shoutout to Sexyy!” However, he decided to keep going and it wasn’t a smart decision. He then decided to loosely quote Kendrick’s infamous line from “euphoria.” “When I see her, I see two bad ones, n****, what’s up?” Drake laughed. “F*** what y’all talking ’bout… Shoutout Sexyy. W Sexyy in the chat.” It was just another weird way to go about things and the internet has made sure to tear him apart.

Kanye West Eviscerated For Alleged Nazi Symbols In New Yeezy Merch

Kanye West continues to draw a lot of controversy for many sad reasons, although it’s been a minute since his blatant antisemitism took center stage in the headlines. Unfortunately, that all changed with his latest Yeezy merch drop on Thursday (December 26), which includes T-shirts, hoodies, jackets, and more for $20 each. The reason as to why these new clothing items drew backlash is because of its use of a logo that eerily seems to resemble Nazi and white supremacist imagery. The symbol in question is the Wolfsangel, worn by multiple SS units during World War II and thus irrevocably tied to Nazi Germany.

Furthermore, in modern times, the Wolfsangel symbol is prevalent among neo-Nazi groups, such as its use as the logo for the white supremacist organization, Aryan Nations. Kanye West obviously caught a lot of flack for this even if he has plausible deniability, despite the clear similarity and evocation given his past bigoted remarks. The “Life Of The Party” artist even had fan accounts online cutting ties and calling this design out as one of his most abhorrent and thinly veiled references.

Kanye West’s New Alleged Nazi-Evoking Yeezy Designs

Of course, this is far from the first time that Kanye West caused controversy due to his merch and clothing designs. We can point all the way back to his use of Confederate flags during the Yeezus era, and there are probably some earlier examples to lesser degrees. But this is another level of shameless, rage-baiting provocation that is even less conducive to the benefit of the doubt. This new VULTURES era incorporated a lot of other bigoted and Nazi-adjacent logos, imagery, and references before, so this new rollout is sadly not as surprising, albeit nonetheless outrageous.

Meanwhile, more recent Kanye West headlines deal more with antics than with this disheartening double-down. Whether it’s his wild deposition, Bianca Censori outfits, or new music rumors, it’s easy to forget about the big picture. But it’s hard to deny that the Chicago multi-hyphenate continues to create from this misguided and harmful place. We’ll see if 2025 yields a change or if this will taint his behavior for the rest of his career.
