Drake Says “Free Tory Lanez” &”Free Lil Durk” During DRIZZMAS Livestream With Adin Ross

Drake takes a moment to say, “Free Tory Lanez” and “Free Lil Durk” at the beginning of his DRIZZMAS livestream. Tory Lanez and Lil Durk face serious legal situations, with Lanez battling a shooting case and Durk battling two murder-for-hire cases. Drizzy acknowledged his collaborators with Adin Ross as they toast to the incarcerated with shots of tequila. Drake and Lil Durk collaborated on the 2020 hit “Laugh Now Cry Later.” Drake and Lanez were former rivals before squashing the beef in 2017.

Drake’s shout-out follows Tory Lanez’s releasing a track, “Handling Business,” earlier this month that goes at Kendrick Lamar. On the track, Lanez raps, “I have been praying and waiting for the day that people confront me the way he did, Drizzy.” Drizzy’s support for Lanez caused a beef with Megan Thee Stallion that she addressed on “HISS.”

Drake Says His PartyNextDoor Joint Album Is ‘One Of The Projects I’m Most Proud Of’

Drake has had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad year, but he’s looking forward to righting the ship in 2025. He’s promised a joint album with PartyNextDoor, which could help him return to form after his late-2024 output failed to connect with audiences. Although they’ve missed their projected autumn release date, they’ve apparently been taking the slow-cooked approach to ensure that it lives up to Party’s promise that it’ll be a “classic.” We haven’t heard many updates, but during his livestream with Adin Ross, Drake shared some details of the album.

“Me and Party is, honestly, one of the projects I’m most proud of in my life,” he said. “I’ve always to wanted make a full album of our sound, Toronto sound, R&B. The best that both of us have to offer… The listening party has to be in the city.”

Drake could certainly use the goodwill. When even sports analysts like Stephen A. Smith and the Inside The NBA crew are criticizing his decision to get the courts involved in his feuds, it looks like his reputation needs a hard reset. You can argue about how effective doing a livestream with fellow Torontonian Adin Ross will be toward that end — it’s a friendly outlet, to be sure, but does little to address the “culture vulture” accusations leveled against him latelly — but at least he knows what his fans want. The real trick will be splitting the difference between them and the wider hip-hop audience.

Drake Says Him & PartyNextDoor’s Upcoming Album Is The Best Work They’ve Ever Done

Drake and PartyNextDoor‘s upcoming joint album is one of music’s most anticipated. The 6 God spoke on it during his DRIZZMAS live stream with Adin Ross. Asked by the popular stream, Champagne Papi revealed the upcoming album will be the OVO labelmate’s best work yet. Drizzy claimed that the album would bring back the Toronto R&B sound. The album was originally set for December 6. On its release date, Drake shared the album was coming soon.

Drizzy and PND announced the joint album in the fall. The 6 God acknowledged the R&B singer as his biggest inspiration in music. PartyNextDoor released his fourth album this summer, supported by a nationwide tour. The 6 God released 100GB collection around the announcement of the joint album. Along with announcing the joint album, Drizzy shared that other artists are releasing music soon, including Smiley.

Drake Says Joint Album With PartyNextDoor Is Best Work Yet

In the live stream, gifts contest winners with tons of prizes, including trips to see Drake perform in Australia, cash prizes, cars, dream vacations, and a signed photo. Drizzy would read the winner’s personal stories before the giveaway. After reading, the 6 God would contact the winners and award them their selected prize. Along with the giveaways, Drake unveils his new cologne coming soon. For Toronto, Drizzy and Adin Ross performed the national anthem before giving away prizes. The stream delivered positive vibes and more. The superstar heavily promoted posting “W” in the chat. Adin Ross revealed he will be accompanying Drizzy on the upcoming tour.

Presented by Stake, the live stream fuels Drake’s upcoming Australian tour. The Anita Win Max Tour begins in February with tickets available now. Drizzy acknowledged that Australia showed him how big the world is on his first visit years ago. Drizzy previously announced the tour as a guest on xQc’s livestream in November. Drake Shouts Out Future During DRIZZMAS Livestream

Drake shouted out Future with Adin Ross in the massive DRIZZMAS live stream on Thursday night (Dec. 26). “Shout out, Pluto,” said the 6 God after Adin Ross acknowledged Future. Originally, Drizzy revealed his desire to reconcile with Future on the diss track “Family Matters.” In April, Future dissed Drake in his joint albums with Metro Boomin, alluding to their beef being about a woman. Young Thug shared a tweet seeking a truce between the rivals. Pluto would repost Thug’s tweet.

Future spoke on the beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake and expressed his frustration with GQ in November. Pluto told GQ: “He said ‘Big Three’ on my song. I’m supposed to be the one who gets mad.” Lil Baby expressed his frustration with being mentioned in the beef. Baby talked about it in a recent interview with Charlamagne Tha God. Drake was one of the first superstars to embrace Lil Baby and Gunna. Drizzy dissed Gunna in 2024 after accepting a plea.

Jay-Z Fires Back: Tacks on Defamation and Extortion to Lawsuit Against Accuser’s Attorney Tony Buzbee

Jay-Z is not taking the attacks and accusations lying down. The Hip Hop mogul has taken legal action against attorney Tony Buzbee, accusing him of defamation and extortion in response to a recent sexual assault allegation.

Those are some big accusations in what is shaping up to be a counter lawsuit against the prolific attorney who has been representing many of the Diddy accusers and now an anonymous accuser suing Jay Z for sexual assault.

Get this, the lawsuit, filed on December 20th, alleges that Buzbee and his law firm attempted to extort Jay-Z by threatening to publicly release false accusations of sexual assault.

The rapper claims the defendants demanded a significant payment to silence the allegations, which could have severely damaged his reputation.

What’s more, the controversy stems from a civil lawsuit filed against Jay-Z by an anonymous woman who alleges that she was sexually assaulted by the rapper and Sean “Diddy” Combs at an after-party following the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. Jay-Z has vehemently denied these claims, calling them “false and malicious.”

Here’s the thing, in his lawsuit, Jay-Z alleges that Buzbee rushed to the media to publicize the accusations without proper investigation. He further claims that Buzbee has a history of making public statements about celebrities, accusing them of misconduct without evidence.

Buzbee has dismissed the lawsuit as “patently frivolous” and denied any wrongdoing. He claims that the legal action is an attempt to intimidate him and silence his client.

But is it? Seems like a war of words but somewhere there are merits that will be proven or not.

As the vicious legal battle unfolds, both sides are digging in, with Jay-Z determined to clear his name and hold Buzbee accountable for his alleged actions.

Wild times going into 2025.
