Charlamagne Tha God says he believes that Drake is seriously “hurting” after hearing his speech on betrayal and fake friends from a nightclub in Toronto on Saturday night. He discussed how the For All the Dogs rapper is holding up in the wake of his feud with Kendrick Lamar during the latest episode of The Breakfast Club.

“I thought that Kendrick’s execution of this battle was flawless, the strategy, the songs, everything, but I didn’t think that it had that much of an impact on Drake. Drake hurts. Oh my God. He is hurt,” Charlamagne said. While discussing Drake’s alleged decision to unfollow LeBron James, Demar Derozan, and more who were in attendance at Kendrick Lamar’s The Pop Up concert, he added: “You can’t go on an unfollow spree then go on a stage and cry about not having no real friends or whatever that was about.”

Dame Dash Divulges On Why He Walked Away From Jay-Z & R Kelly Collab Album

The Diddy scandal has caused a lot of celebrity conspiracy theories to re-emerge, including some harrowing rumors about Jay-Z, R. Kelly, and Aaliyah. Moreover, Dame Dash recently explained why he didn’t want to be involved in Jay and Kelly’s 2002 collab album, Best Of Both Worlds, due to the latter’s alleged sexual assault of Aaliyah. As Dame alleges below, Hov allegedly moved forward with this decision despite some conversations within the Roc that warned against it. Furthermore, it seems like they were all able to settle their disagreements by working out how they would handle the money from the project.

“When it came down to R. Kelly, there was a conversation had about the morals,” Dame Dash remarked. “Like, it’s morally wrong to do a project with someone that we know r**ed my girl or r**ed anybody, for that matter. So I do know that that conversation was had, and I was really surprised that he moved forward with that relationship. I don’t know Epstein, so I never had the chance to walk away from him.

Dame Dash Speaks On Jay-Z & R. Kelly

“But I do know that when that project did come out, I didn’t want any part of that project,” Dame Dash continued about Jay-Z. “I didn’t want any of the money to go to Roc-A-Fella or me. When it came to Roc-A-Fella, it was around the time that Jay was trying to kind of separate himself from us. And he was saying that he didn’t want to be a part anymore. We resolved that issue with – look. Because he wanted me to dilute, and he wanted Biggs to dilute. And I wasn’t diluting, because I know what I mean and what I do for business, and Biggs was ready to dilute.

“But our OG, Deuce from St. Croix, kind of stepped in and was like, ‘That’s not right,’” Dame Dash concluded. “And that’s how we resolved it. The way we resolved it was, ‘Yo, you keep all the money from that project. I don’t want no parts of it,’ being Best Of Both Worlds. So again, I mean, that is true. But… you know, I just think that… I guess I think homie has to answer some questions right now.”

Jussie Smollett Reveals How Much He Spent On Chicago Hoax Case

Since 2019, Jussie Smollet, has been fighting for his innocence in regard to his infamous Chicago hoax case. If you remember, he says he was attacked by two men who were hurling racist and homophobic slurs at him. The assailants accused him of staging the entire debacle to get more publicity and speed up his path to stardom. Moreover, the police were claiming he did the exact same thing. After lots of court appearances, 2022, would be the time that Smollet was convicted and received a 150-day sentence behind jail bars, along with probation and fines.

Instead, he wound up only serving six days and it’s been an uphill battle for Smollet ever since to try and clear his name. Just several days ago, he told PEOPLE what a “dark” time it was when he was arrested for disorderly conduct and falsifying a police report. “I was numb. I didn’t know how to connect the dots, I really genuinely did not know.”

Similarly, he got emotional talking with ET about it in a recent interview mostly surrounding his film, Lost Holliday. In speaking with Nischelle Turner, Smollet was fighting back tears while firmly maintaining his position that he did nothing wrong. “I want to have all of these things in my life, and I don’t want to have a felony on my record for something that I didn’t do. That’s what we’re fighting for,” he said according to The Hollywood Reporter. He doesn’t want to lay down and give up for that, but also because he’s spent “almost $3 million” of his own money. Smollet also is adamant about fighting because, “As a human and as a man, as a Black man and as an openly gay Black man, I have a problem with letting them win on something they shouldn’t be able to.”

Kendrick Lamar’s Music Video For “HUMBLE.” Hits Rare Milestone

Kendrick Lamar, while mostly more of an artist’s artist, still has loads of bangers and hits in his catalog. “B****, Don’t Kill My Vibe,” “Money Trees,” “Swimming Pools,” “All The Stars,” and most recently, “Not Like Us,” are just a handful. The other one you have to throw in there is “HUMBLE.,” easily the biggest record off of Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. The lead single went on to debut at number two in the Billboard Hot 100. However, it would eventually climb to number one, making it Kendrick’s first-ever solo release to do so. Overall, though, it was his second, as his feature on Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” was the first.

What was also incredible about “HUMBLE.” was that it was the highest chart rap song at the time since Eminem and Rihanna’s “Love The Way You Lie.” Now, after seven years, the track is still doing massive numbers. According to HipHopDX, it’s fantastically creative music video (Dave Meyers, Kendrick, and Dave Free) now has over one billion views. Currently, it sits at 1,000,574,820.

Kendrick Lamar Deserves To Not Be “HUMBLE.” After This Amazing Accomplishment

It’s easily his most-watched set of visuals, with the next closest being “All The Stars” with over 465 million. This is just one more accomplishment for Lamar in 2024, as he has already been named the Super Bowl Halftime Show headliner and took down Drake head-to-head in their heated battle. Some may nitpick or view this as a fairly insignificant achievement. There’s already a lot of people hating on Lamar a ton in 2024. But overall, he’s doing some incredible things that need to be praised.

Bobby Shmurda Alleges JAY-Z And Roc Nation Are Fueling Allegations Surrounding Meek Mill And Diddy’s Sexuality

Bobby Shmurda questioned the legitimacy of the rumors surrounding an alleged relationship between Meek Mill and Diddy during a recent interview with The Danza Project. The allegations stem from Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones’ lawsuit against the Bad Boy mogul from earlier this year. In the filing, he alleged that Diddy had “sexual intercourse” with “a Philadelphia rapper who dated Nicki Minaj.” Shmurda alleges that JAY-Z and Roc Nation are the ones behind the allegations.

“I’ma tell you what’s going on with Meek. I left the team that Meek was on. Meek left that team. [If] you leave that team, they come for you,” Shmurda said. “It’s like a relationship with these labels. It’s like leaving a girl with a lot of power. She’s gonna try to make your life a living hell. She’s like, ‘We own the internets, we’re gonna spread all the rumors about you. I’m gonna pay for 3,000 comments making jokes.’” He also revealed that he’s been through something similar. “They tried to call me gay. I f*ck the most b*tches ever. Like, come on, for real? I’m not even mad at them doing it; it be the n****s that believe it.”

Meek has denied the allegations on numerous occasions over the months since Lil Rod initially filed his lawsuit. Recently, he offered up $100,000 to anyone who could find evidence in the case. “I wanna hire an investigative team 100k cash to find out every specific detail involving meek mill name to ‘Diddy’ Case…. I also want them to look at who is powering the media involving ‘meek’ anything to do with buddy! ‘Something not right,’” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Why Did Kendrick Lamar & Rihanna Turn Down Coachella 2025?

Over the past few years, there’s been a lot of discussion over the future of Coachella festival, as the massive music fest tries to find its way in an increasingly fractured music landscape. While this year’s headliners — Doja Cat, Lana Del Rey, and Tyler The Creator — put on an impressive show, there were still reports that the fest sold way fewer tickets than normal. And now, in another blow, it turns out the fest was reportedly unable to secure a pair of A-list headliners to ensure a sellout in 2025: Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna. So why did they turn down Coachella?

According to Bloomberg, from which the report originates, both artists are way too busy to put in the sort of work it takes to put together a Coachella-headlining-worthy set.

Kendrick is, of course, using those resources to build his Super Bowl Halftime Show headlining set, and preparing to go on a major stadium tour afterward. Meanwhile, Rihanna, who is presumably still working on her ninth album as she raises two boys with ASAP Rocky, doesn’t “need the money or the exposure.”

So what does that mean for Coachella?

Paul Tollett, president and CEO of Goldenvoice, Coachella’s organizer, is apparently searching high and low for headliners that can restore the festival to its former glory, but Bloomberg writes that Coachella may be “a victim of its own success.” The fest needs to book the biggest names to set itself apart and meet the expectations fans have set for it after 20 years, but those names don’t need Coachella anymore — they can make more from their tours or movies or multimedia empires (in one example, Bloomberg notes Coachella pays between $8 and $12 million for headliners, but Beyoncé and Taylor Swift can make $15 million).

That leaves Goldenvoice in a tough spot, for sure, but the good news is: Your favorite artists are thriving — and there’s plenty of room for new artists to move on up.
