Previously, Jafaar Jackson, the second youngest son of Jermaine Jackson, was revealed as the actor taking on the role of Michael. Antoine Fuqua will direct the film.
“I’m excited to be a part of a film that explores both the complicated soul of the legendary Michael Jackson as well as his impact on music and culture as a global icon,” Domingo said in a press release. “Not only am I fortunate to have a rich, complex and flawed character to portray in Joe Jackson, but I also have a front row seat for Jaafar’s incredible transformation. After seeing him in rehearsal, my mind was blown. There is something divine about the way that Jaafar is channeling his late uncle. His talent and embodiment of Michael’s essence is simply on another level.”

The South Carolina Gamecocks women’s basketball team faced their first season loss while visiting fellow basketball powerhouse LSU. In front of a sold-out crowd, the Gamecocks were down for 33 minutes but still pulled out a 76-70 victory.
— South Carolina Women’s Basketball (@GamecockWBB) January 26, 2024
A pivotal swing in the game was LSU’s Angel Reese fouling out with 4:02 left, aiding an 11-3 run to close the game. South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley said the matchup “was a game of runs.”
“They made big plays,” Staley said. “We made big plays. The team that made the last play was the one that was going to win this basketball game.”
“Experience — that was a big hit for us,” LSU’s Flau’jae Johnson said. “We had four minutes left — that’s too much time to not have Angel Reese on the floor.”
Reese had 15 points and eight rebounds. Johnson had 10. Aneesha Morrow added 16 points and ten rebounds for the Gamecocks.
Chloe Kitts had 14 points for the Gamecocks, and Raven Johnson added 13 points and nine rebounds.
The Gamecocks have now won 28 straight home games.
The NBA has announced the starting lineups for the upcoming 2024 NBA All-Star Game, with Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the Eastern Conference and LeBron James leading the Western Conference as captains. The league is reverting to the traditional East vs. West format for the 73rd NBA All-Star Game scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 18.
Joining Antetokounmpo in the East is Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid, Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum, Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton, and teammate guard Damian Lillard. Joining James in the West is Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic, Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant, Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic and Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
This is the 20th straight All-Star selection for James, passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for most in the history of the NBA.
“I give credit and a lot of respect to my fans who have been along with me through this whole 21-year journey,” James said Thursday night. “And voting me in as an All-Star starter for the 20th-consecutive time, just very humbled. Very blessed to be able to do what I love to do and just try to give back, give back to the game that’s given me over two decades. So, to be able to know this is the first time ever in NBA history to have this many All-Star starts or whatever the case might be, it’s very cool.”
Starters were determined through a combination of fan votes (50%), current NBA players’ votes (25%), and a media panel (25%). TNT is set to reveal the reserves on Thursday, February 1, at 7 ET. The 30 NBA coaches will select the 14 reserves, considering two guards, three frontcourt players, and two players at any position in their respective conferences. Commissioner Adam Silver will choose replacements from the same conference for any players unable to participate.
In today’s digital age, the synergy between sports and social media is unmistakable, with a basketball association’s popularity directly influencing its social media presence. This trend is exemplified by the “NBA All Star” official Instagram account (@NBAAllStar). Analysis by CasinospotDK reveals that from December 31, 2023, to the end of January 2024, @nbaallstar’s followers increased from 1,990,581 to 2,012,287, marking an addition of 21,706 new followers in just three weeks. This change in subscribers reflects a growing interest in the event, but also opens the way to expanded monetization opportunities, which can be used for charitable purposes or to develop sports in the country. For instance, the price for a sponsored post on the @nbaallstar Instagram account could range between $2.79M and $4.19M, presenting a significant revenue stream.
Chrisean Rock and Blueface are a couple that have been extremely toxic to one another over the years. Although they broke up a few months ago, they still seem to be attached at the hip. Overall, there has been a lot of shots taken by the two in the media. However, ever since Blue got locked up for violating his probation, Chrisean has been more sympathetic to the father of her child. In fact, she has changed her profile picture on Instagram to Blueface. It has been weird to watch, but alas, that has always been the case with these two.
Now, Chrisean Rock is making some massive life decisions as it pertains to Blue. In an Instagram story posted last night, she revealed that she was moving out of her home. Where would she be moving to? Well, Blueface’s house, of course. Yes, that is right. Chrisean is taking her and her child and bringing them to Blue’s crib. This appears to be a surprising development, and based on her previous comments, some felt like it would never happen. That said, she is now being roasted for all of this.
In the comments section of the DJ Akademiks post above, fans had a lot to say about Chrisean. “I wouldn’t wish Chrisean Rock on my best enemy,” one person noted. However, the most telling comment was from Wack 100. “WELL SEE ABOUT THIS. UM THATS MY HOME HE DIDNT TELL YA ” he wrote. Needless to say, Wack is not too excited about Chrisean moving in. After all, he has been adamant about his issues with her in the past.

Ice Spice is one of the biggest new artists out right now. Although her success came over night thanks to the song “Munch,” she has been able to maintain relevancy. Overall, she has a ton of personality and her music resonates with the fans. Moreover, she has scored some huge collaborations with artists like Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj. However, she has also feuded with a few big artists in the past. One person she seems to be in constant beef with is none other than Latto.
The origins of this beef are somewhat unclear. That said, they have taken shots at one another and they continue to make their disdain for each other apparent. On Friday, Ice Spice came through and dropped off a new song called “Think U The Shit (Fart)” This is a song that had been teased for quite some time, and it is finally here. On the song, Spice raps: “I got my foot on they necks, I can’t let up/ She all on the floor, told her get up.” Immediately, fans saw this as a reference to Latto’s track “Put It On Da Floor.”
With Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj beefing at the same time, you can imagine how fans were feeling on social media. That said, this feud led to fans taking sides on social media. Although most were siding with Ice Spice for now, there were definitely Latto supporters lurking the web. “ice spice is so tired as an artist. no flow changes, monotone ass cadence, and she repeats the same disses in every song. all she has to say is “grah” and bitches swear she washes latto. hang it up…” one person wrote. Those on Spice side said things like “Ice spice gagged latto omg” and “Ice Spice be whacking tf outta Latto.”

Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion are beefing right now and it has led to calamity on social media. Overall, their beef has been ongoing for a while now, and it was compounded by the track “FTCU” off of Pink Friday 2. On Friday, Meg dropped off a response of sorts called “Hiss.” “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law/I don’t really know what the problem is, but I guarantee y’all don’t want me to start/Bitch, you a pussy (You a pussy), never finna check me (Yeah),” she raps.
The song makes reference to “Megan’s Law,” a law that makes it so law enforcement has to make sex offenders public in their neighborhoods. Nicki replied in full force with some likes on Twitter that poked fun at Meg’s feet. She continued to reference the Tory Lanezshooting by posting her own feet. Now, she is kicking it up a notch with a diss track called “Big Foot.” While it isn’t out yet, you can hear a preview of the track, below. In this song, Nicki says “running on their good foot for the rest of their sorry days.” She also mocks Meg and says she tries too hard to sound like Bun B and Pimp C.
Fans are very much excited about the feud and what may come of it. As for Nicki’s response, it still remains to be seen when it will be released. When it comes to Megan Thee Stallion, it looks like she is unbothered by the whole thing. In the Instagram post below, you can see that Meg was quick to laugh at the response. Meg took a photo of herself that showcases just how amused she is. Needless to say, Nicki’s feet jokes and diss tracks are leaving Meg unfazed. Whether or not that changes, still remains to be seen.

Birdman is not a fan of last year’s Hip Hop 50 celebrations. In conversation with his new partner, Jalen Rose, Birdman stated the south was not complimented enough.
“I don’t respect that shit about what they doing in Hip Hop and I never will respect it ’cause the South paved a big wave of keeping Hip Hop alive,” Birdman said. “And I don’t think they compliment us enough.”
If you are not rolling with Birdman’s opinion, he had a swift message: “Fuck who don’t like it.”
Former WWE employee Janel Grant is suing Vince McMahon for sex trafficking and assault. Grant states she was the hush money employee in the 2022 investigation of McMahon.
Also named in the suit were WWE and former executive and wrestler John Laurinaitis. Laurinaitis, known as Johnny Ace in the wrestling world, was accused of sexual assault. The company is accused of covering the crimes in a false investigation.
Grant revealed she signed a nondisclosure agreement in 2022 that agreed to pay her $3 million not to provide details of her dealings with McMahon. After $1 million, McMahon stopped making payments and now the suit is to obtain financial damages.
According to The Wall Street Journal, McMahon pressured Grant into sexual acts to advance her role in the company. McMahon met Grant in their condo building after the latter parents had died. McMahon lived in the penthouse. McMahon created the “administrator-coordinator” position, which became the ire of other employees as she had a low level of work while others had “overflowing inboxes.”
McMahon is accused of using sex toys with Grant that he named after wrestlers that led to bruising and bleeding. He also passed nude pictures of Grant across the production team. In addition, Grant stated she was locked in a room by McMahon and another executive who took turns sexually assaulting her. Naming Laurinaitis, Grant stated he and McMahon restrained her and told her, “No means yes” and “Take it, bitch.” McMahon also locked her in his locker room and forced himself on her at a massage table.
McMahon also allegedly used nude images of Grant in contract negotiations with Brock Lesnar. Lesnar reportedly told Vince he liked the images, and Vince told Grant, “Part of the deal was f—ing U.” After an exchange of phone numbers, Lesnar allegedly asked Grant to send a video of herself urinating.
The arrangement was supposed to end once Vince’s wife, Linda McMahon, found out. Instead, after enacting the NDA, McMahon forced oral sex on Grant and then attempted to traffic her to a WWE Star in March 2022.
McMahon temporarily stepped down in the summer of 2022, returning to orchestrate a sale of the company to Endeavor, merging with UFC to become TKO Group Holdings. McMahon currently serves as an executive and member of the Board of Directors.
TKO Group Holdings released a statement to Variety:
A spokesperson for McMahon shared a statement to Deadline:
Grant’s lawyer, Ann Callis, also served a response:
In July 2023, Vince McMahon was served a federal grand jury subpoena as law enforcement agents executed a search warrant on his home.
According to ESPN, McMahon was on medical leave following a major spinal surgery. No charges have been brought against McMahon.
The wrestling giant states the company received legal demands for documents regarding the investigation.
“WWE has cooperated throughout and fully understands and respects the government’s need for a complete process,” the company said in a statement.
According to Cageside Seats, a special committee of members of the company’s Board of Directors conducted an internal investigation into a hush-money scandal with McMahon. In their second quarter 2023 financial earnings reveal, WWE announced expenses related to the investigation cost a combined $12.4 million.
