Candace Owens Tells Joe Budden The US Education System Is Responsible For The Decline Of Rap Music

Right-wing pundit Candace Owens has blamed the US education system for the decline of rap music, citing Ice Spice’s “Think U The Sh-t (Fart)” as an example. “I just don’t need to hear about Ice Spice’s farts, I just don’t. I don’t want to hear about it. We used to produce really good music and it’s gone down the drain. I think even that is international. I think it’s because it’s a part of the, ‘Let’s slowly make it modify the education systems so that Black people can’t read and, at the same time, feed them with a pipeline of garbage,’ and you will wake up one day, and what surrounds you will be garbage,” Owens declared.

Owens might want to sit this one out, given her support for PragerU, a right-wing “educational” platform infamous for its wild propaganda-ized and inaccurate videos. However, it’s not the first time Owens has gone after that specific Spice track. “If you’re wondering whether or not it’s a good song, what do you think? It’s called “Think U The Sh-t (Fart)”. Now I think we can all admit that we’ve fallen as a society. I mean, I wouldn’t say that was Mozart or Beethoven, but I’m not all of these mainstream media publications that routinely run to defend this kind of music similar to what they did with ‘WAP’ the most disgusting and filthiest lyrics I’ve ever read. They will then sit down and write an article trying to convince you that what you just heard was magical and they did this with this Ice Spice song,” Owens ranted.

Candace Owens Hilariously Dissed By Interior Decorator

However, Owens is not exactly known for her good taste. Last year, Owens and her husband were making inquiries about the renovation of their home in Nashville. According to Owens, one of the inquiries was to David Netto. Netto, a well-regarded interior described by Architectural Digest as a “true designer’s designer”, is known for his stylish, upmarket designs. His work can be found in luxury homes and apartments across the US. He is also something an interior design rebel, having dropped out of Harvard to found his own studio in 2000. Per his website bio, Netto’s work is “known for trying to bring to modernism a touch of warmth and personality, and to traditionalism young energy and a dash of the exotic.”

Owens claimed that her husband sent a “very polite” inquiry by email. Unfortunately, it appears Netto was apparently well aware of the couple’s reputation. “Dear George, thank you for your inquiry. I’d rather be hit in the ass with a wooden plank than ever go near either of you. Kind regards, David,” Netto wrote in response. Owens has publicly stated that she does not believe racism exists. Furthermore, her husband, who Netto corresponded with, is white. Despite these facts, Owens made very specific claims while voicing her disapproval. Owens argued that Netto would likely not have spoken the same way to a Black liberal.

Latto Shades Ice Spice While Denying Reports Of Previous Rumored Diss

Latto has taken shots at Ice Spice while denying reports that she had taken shots at Ice Spice. After The Neighborhood Talk speculated that Latto tweeting “Didn’t hit tho” was a shot at Spice over the “Think U The Sh-t” billboards the latter sent to Atlanta, The Columbus rapper responded by actually taking shots at Spice. “This was about that old pic going viral not that lil girl thanks,” Latto wrote in the comments of the original post.

Of course, the “lil girl” jab sent Spice’s fans into a frenzy. “Latto calling Ice Spice “lil girl” is such a kii 🥴. Cause mind you, that “lil girl” is more awarded, outsold her entire discography in a year, & collaborated with her idol twice… not to mention MOST IMPORTANTLY that “lil girl” negotiated to keep her MASTERS, unlike Klayco Karen,” one fan argued. “She’s jealous of ice that’s why she said “little girl” cause she can’t stand the fact ICE gets the love/attention that SHE wants. 😂 it’s giving bothered lmao,” added another. The next shots in the ongoing feud will likely come when Latto’s “Sunday Service” debuts on the Billboard Hot 100 this week.

Latto & Cardi B Go Platinum With “Put It On Da Floor Again”

Meanwhile, Latto and Cardi B‘s 2023 summer banger “Put It On Da Floor Again” has gone platinum, according to Complex. Released in June 2023, the track was a Cardi-infused remix of Latto’s April hit. While the original track only peaked at No. 25 on the Billboard Bubbling Under chart, the addition of Cardi saw the remix peak at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100. Furthermore, the remix was widely praised by critics. “Cardi matches and then exceeds Latto’s energy. Once again, Cardi is endlessly quotable,” Tom Breihan of Stereogum wrote.

Furthermore, the high-energy video was full of brief cameos as Cardi and Latto twerked and flexed across a variety of retail outlets. Offset and BabyDrill both made an appearance, as did LSU’s Angel Reese. Additionally, Cardi name-dropping the 2023 NCAA National Champions led the school to invite her to campus.

Ice Spice Seemingly Sends “Think U The Shit” Billboards To Atlanta, Fans Still Think Latto Won The Beef

Billboard trucks with an emoji version of Ice Spice’s “Think you the shit, you not even the fart” lyric have been spotted driving around Atlanta. While not confirmed to have been ordered by Ice Spice herself, it’s unclear who the target of the billboards is. However, many people believe that the move is a continuation of the rapper’s beef with Latto. “Think U The Shit (Fart)” was widely taken as a shot at Latto, who even responded to the track on her own release, “Sunday Service”.

Despite the move from Spice, fans still think that Latto won the beef. “She put a truck in Atlanta… Latto not only went to ices CITY but she filmed the video in ices exact hood.. Latto taking it,” one fan wrote. “She was too scared to go there herself? Or drop a better diss?” added another. “A truck with a sign on it ? Latto brought 20 plus black vans in ur city and filmed a whole mv,” concurred a third. “Sunday Service” is yet to debut on the Billboard Hot 100. Meanwhile, “Think U The Shit (Fart)” debuted at No. 37 and dropped to No. 52 in its second week.

Ice Spice Roasted For Super Bowl Performance

Meanwhile, Spice cannot escape the flopping allegations to save her life at the moment. “Tell The frozen spice girl to stop singing to me, I have a dashiki that’s older than her,” Michael Blackson wrote on Instagram. He also included footage of Spice rapping and twerking at the Fanatics Super Bowl Party, turning the camera to capture his concerned expression. Many fans were quick to skewer Spice in the comments too. “So she’s a stripper with a microphone. Got it,” one hater said. “Imagine your music being so trash you have to show your nakedness so we can forget that your music is trash 🗑,” concurred another.

However, Spice had a VIP seat for the game, rolling up to Travis Kelce’s suite with Taylor Swift. She also starred in an ad for Starry. In the ad, Spice is being rizzed up the soda brand’s two animated mascots when her “ex-boyfriend” shows up to try and win back the rapper. When she rejects him, the man’s head horrifyingly explodes in a fountain of soda. Titled “It’s Time To See Other Sodas”, the ad dropped on February 2. However, contrary to the belief of some gossip sites, the ad did not reveal any details of the rapper’s actual love life.

Ice Spice Catches Heat For Sharing Asian Edit Of Herself

Ice Spice is coming under fire on social media for sharing an edited photo of herself race-swapped. She posted the picture on Twitter while promoting her new song, “Think U The Shit (Fart).” The original selfie is the cover art for the single.

“Why is she making fun of asian people?” one user asked in response. Another referenced a recent Twitter trend, writing: “She’s trying to see what she would look like if she was black AND chinese.” The edit of Ice Spice appears to stem from a user on the site, @VLONEPREDATOR, who has been editing pictures in a similar manner.

Ice Spice Attends The BET Awards

Other replies brought up 1975 frontman Matty Healy’s controversial joke on The Adam Friedland Show in February 2023. Speaking with comedians Nick Mullen and Friedland, he jokingly referred to her as a “chubby Chinese lady.” Spice eventually responded to the drama during an interview with Variety. “When I had heard that little podcast or whatever, I was so confused. Because I heard ‘chubby Chinese lady’ or some sh*t like that, and I’m like, ‘Huh? What does that even mean?’” she said at the time. “First of all, I’m thick. What do you mean Chinese? What? But then they apologized or whatever. And the whole time, I didn’t really care.” Check out the post on Twitter below.

Ice Spice Hits The 305 For “Think U The S**t (Fart)”: Watch The Music Video

Ice Spice’s new single “Think U The S**t (Fart)” was turning listeners up before it ever officially dropped, so what better way to solidify that splash with some visuals in the 305? Moreover, she just dropped her official music video for the song, featuring the Bronx rapper and her entourage (including producer RIOTUSA) in Miami. They ride jet skis, party with locals, ride around in expensive cars, hit up some delis and small stores, and of course, shake it for the cam’. It’s overall a really fun watch that sees her enjoying herself just as much as fans are as they take a look. Few music videos can ever really reach that connection, so props to Spice and the whole cabinet for prioritizing a good time.

While these folks were up in South Beach, some fans think that this new track will send shockwaves deep within Atlanta. Sadly, no femcee’s success is complete without fanbases, media, and competitive spirits consistently pitting them against one of their peers. Folks think that Ice Spice sent a not-so-subliminal shot at Latto on “Think U The S**t (Fart),” who sparked beef rumors in the past. “I got my foot on they necks, I can’t let up, she all on the floor, told her get up,” she raps on the cut, an apparent reference to the 777 hitmaker’s “Put It On Da Floor.”

Ice Spice’s “Think U The S**t (Fart)” Music Video: Watch

Regardless of whether there’s any real basis there, perhaps this fiery and combative spirit is something needed in hip-hop right now, even if they might base things on personal matters rather than actual skill. Nevertheless, it’s not the only aspect of the 24-year-old’s life that folks are clawing to get a glimpse into. Her upcoming Super Bowl commercial might reveal her ex, teases suggest, but don’t keep your hopes too high. Still, as Ice Spice enters what will probably be another big year for her, we’re sure that we will get other peeps behind the curtain.

Meanwhile, if complete secrecy keeps pumping out hits like “Think U The S**t (Fart),” then we’re happy to stay in the dark. If nothing else, hopefully people stay most interested in the art for their own personal sake -– and for Ice Spice’s. We’re sure she doesn’t plan on having to address pregnancy rumors just for the whims of the Internet. Check out the music video above and stay posted on HNHH for more great music drops around the clock.

Ice Spice Seemingly Disses Latto On New Song, Fans Immediate Pick Sides

Ice Spice is one of the biggest new artists out right now. Although her success came over night thanks to the song “Munch,” she has been able to maintain relevancy. Overall, she has a ton of personality and her music resonates with the fans. Moreover, she has scored some huge collaborations with artists like Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj. However, she has also feuded with a few big artists in the past. One person she seems to be in constant beef with is none other than Latto.

The origins of this beef are somewhat unclear. That said, they have taken shots at one another and they continue to make their disdain for each other apparent. On Friday, Ice Spice came through and dropped off a new song called “Think U The Shit (Fart)” This is a song that had been teased for quite some time, and it is finally here. On the song, Spice raps: “I got my foot on they necks, I can’t let up/ She all on the floor, told her get up.” Immediately, fans saw this as a reference to Latto’s track “Put It On Da Floor.”

Ice Spice Vs. Latto

With Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj beefing at the same time, you can imagine how fans were feeling on social media. That said, this feud led to fans taking sides on social media. Although most were siding with Ice Spice for now, there were definitely Latto supporters lurking the web. “ice spice is so tired as an artist. no flow changes, monotone ass cadence, and she repeats the same disses in every song. all she has to say is “grah” and bitches swear she washes latto. hang it up…” one person wrote. Those on Spice side said things like “Ice spice gagged latto omg” and “Ice Spice be whacking tf outta Latto.”

Ice Spice Blows Past Her Competition On Her New Single ‘Think U The Sh*t (Fart)’

Ice Spice is back. Tonight (January 26), the New York rapper has shared her new single, interestingly titled “Think U The Sh*t (Fart).”

Stepping back into her rap on a rhythmic beat produced by her loyal collaborator RiotUSA, Ice pushes her competition to the side, as she comes to reclaim the top spot.

“Think you the sh*t, b*tch? / You not even the fart / I be goin’ hard / I’m breakin’ they hearts / B*tches be quick, but I’m quicker / B*tches be thick, but I’m thicker / She could be rich, but I’m richer,” Ice raps on the song’s chorus

This week marks a year since Ice released her debut EP, Like…?, which spawned hits like “Princess Diana,” “Gangsta Boo,” and more. Given the catchy songs in her repertoire, fans are looking forward to a full-length project from Ice.

In an interview with Billboard, RiotUSA teased that Ice’s debut album will be filled with songs that will stand the test of time.

“Fans should know I produce and record too, so look out for my music,” he said. “Also look out for new classics with Ice in 2024. We’re working on her debut album as we speak.”

You can listen to “Think U The Sh*t (Fart)” above.
