Earthquake Addresses Katt Williams’ Illiteracy Accusations On “The Breakfast Club”

At the beginning of this month, Katt Williams made waves with his viral appearance on Club Shay Shay. During the interview, he took aim at several of his peers, including Kevin Hart, Rickey Smiley, Cedric The Entertainer, and more. One fellow comic he mentioned was Earthquake, and he had mostly complimentary things to say about him. While he did note that Earthquake is undeniably funny, he accused the D.C. native of being illiterate.

“‘Why Earthquake not in movies?’ Cuz he’s illiterate,” Williams told Shannon Sharpe. “He can’t read. And they found that out when they gave him a show and then put the cards in front of him.” Later on in the interview, he praised him for his ability to make others laugh. “I don’t think anybody’s ever said Quake not funny. He’s probably never been booed, I don’t think. I don’t think he’s ever given a bad performance in his life.”

Earthquake Insists He Can Read

During a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, Earthquake decided to clear things up. According to him, he appreciates Williams’ compliments, but can definitely read. He also notes that he’s proven this time and time again throughout his decades-long career. As for what Williams’ Club Shay Shay appearance did for Black comedy as a whole, Earthquake says nothing. “Comedy I don’t think [it did] anything, cuz there’s wasn’t no jokes in it,” he explained. “I’m in the joke-telling business, you know what I mean? So, it didn’t do anything I think for comedy.” He continued, describing how Williams’ apparent shade towards him came out of left field.

“Personally speaking, me and him was cool, so I didn’t know where that came from. Certain things he said about me, half was true half was a lie. But, to each his own,” he said. What do you think of Katt Williams accusing Earthquake of not knowing how to read during his viral Club Shay Shay appearance? What about Earthquake’s response? Skepta Drops Braggadocious Bars On “Gas Me Up (Diligent)”

Skepta had the internet in a little bit of a frenzy a couple of weeks ago when he revealed some cover art. It is for his second album single “Gas Me Up (Diligent)” which just dropped today. The song will land on his next highly-awaited studio album Knife And Fork. The reason why some people were so up in arms about it was because the artwork evoked one of the most inhumane events in the history of mankind.

As most music fans are aware, Kanye was dragged through the mud (deservedly so) for his derogatory statements. Those of which were directed at the Jewish community. Fans were jumping to conclusions that Skepta was in on the hate speech as well. However, the UK rapper hopped on Twitter to explain the meaning behind his artistic direction.

Listen To “Gas Me Up (Diligent)” By Skepta

Some fans were praising him for sticking to his guns and not letting others influence his decision. Originally, Skepta was going to fix it but decided against it. Now that the song is here, how does it sound? Well, it is not too shabby. The production from Cardo is solid with cowbells, kick drums, and nice bass. Skepta brings a nice flow and some nice bars about becoming successful. Overall, there is nothing that is mind-blowing, but it sounds fine.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Gas Me Up (Diligent),” by Skepta? Is this the better of the two singles, if so why? Does this track get you excited for Knife And Fork? Is Skepta the greatest UK rapper ever? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Quotable Lyrics:

Soon as you say, “On sight,” wе lookin’ for you like some vintage Prada
Lookin’ for you like some archive pieces (Pow-pow, pow)
Jealousy in the ends, they hate when you become successful
But in the trenches, we were all friends
How long we tryna pretend?
I know they love to see me do well

Ben Shapiro Disses Nicki Minaj In One Of The Worst Rap Verses You Will Ever Hear

Ben Shapiro is a conservative pundit who has certainly made his feelings about hip-hop clear. In his mind, it is not real music. Overall, it is an idiot take. However, it is one that is not rare in conservative circles. It is pretty easy to read between the lines and understand why they feel this way. Regardless, it is pretty pathetic, to say the least. Regardless, there is a certain piece of kryptonite for the conservative pundit and that is the white conservative rapper. Forgiato Blow, Tom Macdonald, and even Vanilla Ice (these days at least) fall into this category.

The MAGA rap phenomenon is one that has risen to prominence over the last few years. However, it really came to fruition in the midst of COVID-19 and the Black Lives Matter protests in 2020. It is here where the Macdonald’s of the world soared to popularity amongst Trump supporters. Even Shapiro can’t contain himself from the grift. On Friday, he featured on the new Macdonald song “Facts.” If you thought he was just going to lend his voice as an interlude of sorts, you would be wrong. Instead, he actually delivered a real verse.

Ben Shapiro Delivers Early Contender For Worst Bars Of 2024

As you can see up above, this verse is pretty atrocious. He sounds like an AI version of himself. Furthermore, there is a certain cadence that can only be described as Epic Rap Battles Of History-core. Perhaps the most notable part of the entire song is the fact that he disses Nicki Minaj on it. This is certainly interesting timing given the fact that Nicki got dissed by Megan Thee Stallion recently. Shapiro and Nicki have gone at it in the past, so no surprises here. Regardless, this has to be one of the worst verses ever recorded.

Twitter Reacts

Below, you can find some of the reactions to the song. As you can see, normal people find this all very strange. Let us know what you think of the song, in the comments section below. Pharrell Williams is about as versatile of a creative force as anybody. It’s rare that any celebrity has the reach and scope of ambition that he does and it extends to numerous different mediums. Flyana Boss Sings Sweet Nothings In Their Sticky New Single ‘Candyman’

Flyana Boss was everywhere in 2023 — both figuratively and not-quite literally — as the two champions for “weird Black girls” took their breakout single “You Wish” to all kinds of unusual places for running videos and jogged themselves right into some lucrative brand sponsorships. They’re looking to carry that momentum into the new year, releasing their latest single, “Candyman,” after a similar long run-up on social media (okay, I’ll chill with the running jokes now).

Where “You Wish” was a dismissive putdown to wannabes and featured full-bodied but carefree boasts about the girls’ recent come-up (or manifestations of the come-up in the making, as they told me in an interview last year), “Candyman” is a more coy love letter to their crushes. Using confectionary-coded wordplay to declare one’s affections is a well-worn trope, but one Folayan and Bobbi wield well. The production is bright and bass-heavy, with the girls showing off their vocal chops as well as their witty wordplay. “I call him my Grub Hubby, he gon’ feed me,” Folayan jokes.

The duo’s appreciation for music history shows both in the track and on its cheeky cover art, which references the cover photo from Minnie Riperton’s 1974 album Perfect Angel. Meanwhile, they’re kicking off a headlining tour in February

Eminem Is Still Going After Benzino For Some Reason On ‘Doomsday Pt. 2’ With Lyrical Lemonade

eminem 2023

Eminem really wishes it was 2004. That’s the only reason I can think of why he’s still bothering with Benzino over 20 years later. Maybe he sees their old feud as a legendary, multi-generational saga like the Hatfields and McCoys, but it’s more like the plot of Grumpy Old Men. And it’s getting closer all the time (Em is now 51, while Benzino is 58), all while aging like the fish Max leaves in John’s car at the end. Spoilers for a 30-year-old movie, I guess.

Alas, here we are in 2024, with Eminem again dedicating several bars to his distaste for his age-old nemesis — arguably too many, although that’d be true of even one — on his new song “Doomsday Pt. 2” from Lyrical Lemonade’s new album All Is Yellow. “Now I got a riddle, one condition, you mustn’t laugh / What is the opposite of Benzino? A giraffe / Go at his neck,’ how the f*ck is that? How can I go at somethin’ he doesn’t have? / Arms so short he can’t even touch his hands / When they’re up above his head doin’ jumpin’ jacks.”

He goes on in this vein for another twelve bars (TWELVE!!), setting up an overly elaborate gay joke (booooo!) and a mildly witty reference to a 2023 Coi Leray interview where she was asked about collaborating with Eminem despite her dad.

Yes, Benzino lied about Michael Jackson praising him for dissing Eminem (sure, Ray) as recently as last April, but the only person still paying attention to that guy besides Coi is Eminem. Maybe just ignore him, Marshall, it’s not like either of you is getting anything out of this anymore. Today, we are all Coi Leray:
