50 Cent says he’s going to make a TV show about his lawsuit against Beam Suntory, the supplier that he accused of an embezzlement scheme that allegedly cost him and Sire Sprits millions of dollars. He discussed his lawsuit and his plans to make a series about it during an interview with FOX 5 NY’s Lisa Evers on Monday.
“Now they’re at a point where they’re going to see, everybody’s going to see. This noise affects them, they get really uncomfortable,” 50 told the outlet. “People are going to start looking at it, and it’s going to be a mess for them.” He added: “It’s only going to get worse than it is now, when people start paying attention to it. I’m going to end up making a whole TV show based on it.”
Sire Spirits attorney Craig Weiner explained the case: “So you have Beam Suntory hiring Mr. Caruso, or should I call him ‘Lord Michael’ as he likes to be known apparently, you have the two of them working together and conspiring in order to get Sire Spirits to buy it’s champagne and it’s cognac from parties that were given illicit and hidden commissions to them.” After the interview aired, 50 shared it on his Instagram page with the caption: “These people should have just did the right thing to fix this. They are going to pay for this watch.” Check out the post below.
Beam Suntory didn’t partake in the interview but provided the following statement to FOX 5 NY: “The claims brought by Mr. Jackson and Sire Spirits against Beam Suntory are false and baseless. They are completely lacking in merit – and even more importantly, in evidence. Most of the allegations have already been dismissed. We will continue to vigorously defend ourselves and expect to prevail.” Be on the lookout for further updates on 50 Cent on HotNewHipHop.
Sexyy Red’s baby daddy’s identity has been a pretty hot topic of debate and speculation, especially given her references to it in her music and career. For example, many of her recent music videos and lyrical references in new and past material point to this interest. However, there’s a very simple reason as to why the St. Louis rapper won’t say who it is, and she told Billboard why after her Rolling Loud L.A. set. “‘Cause I don’t need anyone in my business,” she answered a question about why she doesn’t want to reveal who her baby daddy is. “Like, why you want to be so nosy? Mind your f***ing business.”
Moreover, the 25-year-old welcomed her second child into the world not too long ago, and maternity photos as a couple would’ve spoiled the baby daddy’s identity if it wasn’t for some blurring effects. Also, she spoke on what it was like to hide her pregnancy during her time touring with Drake. “When nobody knew I was pregnant, I’d be in the back room, like, trying to suck my stomach in,” Sexyy Red shared recently. “Or wear clothes to show that I wasn’t pregnant.
“And I had to practice my breathing,” Sexyy Red continued. “Like, before I’d go on stage, I had to hold my stomach in and look at myself and be like, ‘Can they tell?’ Once I just was like, ‘Okay I can’t keep hiding it ’cause it hurt to just be on stage all day holding your stomach in.’ So I’m like, ‘Just forget about it.’ I was pregnant on the Drake tour and the Moneybagg tour but nobody knew. People started suspecting it on the Drake tour because there was videos and pictures of me coming out. That’s the only reason I was hiding it because I just wanted me and my family and friends to know.”
Meanwhile, there are also other, more scandalous, and less compelling reasons to be interested in the “SkeeYee” hitmaker’s romantic life. After all, popular streamer Adin Ross recently claimed that they slept together. Her response was pretty hilarious while also being a staunch denial, and we’ll probably keep getting that energy from her throughout 2024. Danny Brown’s recent Drink Champs interview was definitely one for the books. The Detroit native joined hosts N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN to discuss several topics, from sobriety to meeting Nas and his thoughts on the current state of hip-hop, among others. However, the 2-hour interview had some important moments worth highlighting. Here are some of the biggest takeaways from Danny Brown’s time on Drink Champs.
A major takeaway from Danny Brown’s Drink Champs interview was his sober announcement. He revealed that he has remained abstinent from drugs and alcohol for a year. When he was asked about his decision to get sober, he bluntly stated: “I was just fucking up.” N.O.R.E and DJ EFN then inquired about how he manages to have fun now without the drugs. “I don’t. But I’m 42 years old,” Danny responded. “The fun got to be done or you gon’ die. My fun was deadly. I was like a living skydiver. You can’t keep jumping out the plane every day.”
Later on in the conversation, the trio discussed the common belief that people are more creative when under the influence. However, Danny disagreed, using himself as an example. “Now that I’m sober, I realized that shit is just in me,” he said. “If anything, the drugs and alcohol was fucking me up more. It was taking me more out of who I was. But I’ve always been a funny motherfucker or just being able to fucking rap.”
The Evolution Of Rap Through Danny Brown’s Eyes
Danny Brown has spent over two decades in the rap game. As a result, he has witnessed the evolution of the genre firsthand. He spoke candidly about his sentiments regarding the current state of rap. “I just wish it was more emphasis on creativity than anything else,” he said. “Because right now, it’s just copy and paste. You see some shit work, and you’re like, ‘Alright, I’m doing that shit too.’ And then it works! It needs to be more gatekeeping around this motherfucker, if anything.”
Although his commentary may have kicked off in a critical way, he later acknowledged the time and effort it takes to create music. He also spoke about how much easier it is to make your way into the rap genre nowadays. “I do like the fact- I’m not saying it’s easy- but you can make some shit and the people fuck with it, you’re on,” he said. “You ain’t gotta go through all of these pipelines and shit, how it used to be before. So, I do like that part of it.”
Later in the discussion Drink Champs host N.O.R.E. expressed the idea that Danny Brown, who has dedicated his life to making music, embodied the essence of 1990s rap. Concurring with the sentiment, Danny elaborated on his own experience. He noted that while he was rapping during that era, he only found success after adjusting his approach. “I didn’t really get no traction like that until I was 30,” he said. “But I would admit that in my 20s, it was more so just rapping to try and get a record deal. I still didn’t find myself yet. It didn’t start working for me until I stopped giving a fuck about what other people thought about my music. I started to realize, like man, the music I listen to ain’t on TV or on the radio. So, I just started to pull my influences from that.”
J Dilla’s Impact
Towards the end of the Drink Champs interview, Danny Brown spoke honestly about the late record producer J Dilla. He also spoke about how much of an impact the producer had on the music industry. “People gotta understand, man. The shit that Dilla was doing, they still talk about and do shit to this day,” he stated. “I was in fucking Sweden one time, in like a fucking five-star restaurant, and they was playing fucking Slum Village instrumentals. I heard Slum Village when I was a kid but I was too immature to even understand that shit.” Danny shared that he didn’t fully grasp the brilliance on the record during his younger years. ”I was like, ‘These n**gas ain’t shooting nobody or nothing? They ain’t getting high or nothing, man. I can’t get jiggy with this shit,’” he joked. “But then when I grew up, I understood the genius in the music.”
Danny Brown and Kendrick Lamar, who collaborated on “Really Doe,” have shared a friendship in their musical careers. When Danny was asked about how their bond was formed, he stated: “We’ve always been fans of each other. I feel like K. Dot is one of the best rappers ever.” He later elaborated on this admiration and paid homage to Kendrick. “Some motherfuckers are just naturally gifted. Like, I feel like J. Cole worked hard to get where he’s at. He studied hard… he rapped hard. I feel like Kendrick was just born with that shit. You can’t take that.”
Dan Schneider has denied allegations about sexualizing young child stars on his Nickelodeon shows in a statement provided to Variety. The response comes as ID’s new docuseries, Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, dives into the controversial stories about his behavior behind the scenes. Schneider worked on The Amanda Show, All That, iCarly, Victorious, as well as Sam & Cat, and more shows.
“Everything that happened on the shows Dan ran was carefully scrutinized by dozens of involved adults, and approved by the network. If there was an actual problem with the scenes that some people, now years later are ‘sexualizing,’ they would be taken down, but they are not, they are aired constantly all over the world today still, enjoyed by both kids and parents,” a representative for Schneider said.
Dan Schneider & Drake Bell Attend Kids’ Choice Awards In Los Angeles
“Remember, all stories, dialogue, costumes, and makeup were fully approved by network executives on two coasts. A standards and practices group read and ultimately approved every script, and programming executives reviewed and approved all episodes. In addition, every day on every set, there were always parents and caregivers and their friends watching filming and rehearsals. Had there been any scenes or outfits that were inappropriate in any way, they would have been flagged and blocked by this multilayered scrutiny,” the statement further said. “Unfortunately, some adults project their adult minds onto kids’ shows, drawing false conclusions about them.” In recent years, Alexa Nikolas, Jennette McCurdy, as well as Drake Bell, and more former child stars for Nickelodeon have opened up about various cases of wrongdoing at the network.

Waka Flocka Flame wants to be a little more secretive about his divorce following a nasty social media spat with his ex-wife Tammy Rivera. Moreover, according to court documents obtained by Radar Online, he asked a judge last month to seal court records related to the legal battle and for a confidentiality order to both of them to not speak about the case publicly. The “Foreva” rapper cited his and the Love & Hip Hop star’s fame as a reason why, and wants their information -– including financial records -– hidden from the public. While a judge has yet to rule on this matter, a decision could emerge in the near future.
Furthermore, Waka Flocka Flame wants the judge to order him and Tammy Rivera “to refrain from discussing the proceedings and any aspect of the proceedings in the media to include but not limited to social media, print media, internet, radio, and or television media.” This follows some Instagram drama between Tammy and Waka’s new girlfriend Melanie, and apparently the former’s daughter even got involved and defended her mother against her ex’s new flame. Not only that, but this weekend, the reality TV star shared a picture of seemingly her new man with his face covered, so they both have new boo drama to deal with regarding each other.
Waka Flocka Flame & Tammy Rivera At The 2019 BET Social Awards
For those unaware, Waka Flocka Flame filed for divorce from Tammy Rivera in Georgia in May of 2023. He said that they separated in December of 2021 after almost seven years of marriage and “lived in a bona fide state of separation since that date.” In addition, the Atlanta MC said the legal split deserved entitlement because of their “irretrievably broken” marriage with “no reasonable hope of reconciliation.” Their sole material asset, he argued, was their Atlanta home, something that he asked for exclusive use and possession of.
Still, the “No Hands” lyricist remarked that he’ll split the profits equally with Tammy if he decides to sell it. “[Waka] asserts that the parties shall be solely liable for all debts incurred and held in their respective individual names and indemnify one another from any liabilities associated with their respective debts,” the petition read while claiming they didn’t share any debt. He also asked for no alimony or spousal payments for Rivera, for both to walk away with their own vehicles, and for each party to receive awards in their own accounts since they do not have a joint one. While she didn’t formally respond to the divorce at press time, Tammy did say they split but were in a good space back in 2022. For more news and updates on Waka Flocka Flame, log back into HNHH.
