The Hollywood Walk of Fame is made up of over 2,700 stars – several of them belonging to some of the biggest names in hip-hop. On Tuesday (March 19), Dr. Dre finally joined the ranks, proudly celebrating at a star-studded ceremony alongside Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, and other friends. “I’m incredibly grateful for your support throughout the years. Most of us have grown up together. And at nearly 60 years old, you’re still rocking with me, and I really appreciate that,” the former NWA member said during his speech.

“I’m nowhere near done. You better believe there’s a lot more coming,” the California native promised. “Pouring my whole soul and self into my passion for hip-hop led me on a pathway to an incredible career, and I’ve been fortunate enough to make a living doing exactly what I love to do.” While Dre and his contemporaries were obviously excited about the special occasion, criticism has been flying online due to the multi-talent’s troubling past with women.

Suge Knight Acknowledges Dr. Dre on His Big Day

One person who was unable to attend Dre’s ceremony was Suge Knight, who’s ineligible for parole until October 2034. Still, he made sure to commemorate the moment with a Twitter/X post demanding his flowers. “All you boys, [you’re] welcome!!! #DrDre #SnoopDogg #DJQuik,” the music executive wrote above a Getty Images screenshot from yesterday’s event. “And you contributed to this how??? Just asking,” someone wrote under Knight’s tweet, though he didn’t bother to give them a response.

As he continues to serve his 28-year sentence, Suge Knight is having no trouble getting his messages out to the public from behind bars. Though fan hype for new material from Cardi was through the roof, the single was met with mixed reviews.

Over the weekend, Cardi unleashed her second new single of the year “Enough (Miami).” Unlike it’s predecessor fans were instantly in love with “Enough.” That’s why it’s no surprise Cardi is quickly getting all the mileage out of the track that she can. One of the ways she’s doing that is with a special “From The Block” performance of the song. The video dropped yesterday and already has more than 185k views. The artist presently enjoys a listenership of over 1.1 million monthly streamers on Spotify alone. Jean Dawson’s latest release, a 3-pack EP by the name of Boohoo, dropped on March 7, and has already accumulated a great deal of recognition from fans.

Though the release only holds 3 tracks, running for a total of 8 minutes in length, the project has a lot to offer sonically. Despite the evident polish of these tracks, Jean Dawson has characterized the Boohoo 3-pack as an overture, indicating that it sets the stage for numerous upcoming releases from the up-and-comer in the future. The significantly moody track contains a combination of sonic flavors that leave you floating spiritually through the clouds and a powerful vocal range that simmers between shouting and soft-spoken poetry. Though Jean Dawson’s lyrics can be esoteric and hard to parse through at times, the artistic vibe is he curates remains consistent.

Jean Dawson is a certifiable rock star, and his music is exploding with potential. Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Eminem, and Snoop Dogg all starred in a “Dre’s Anatomy” skit on Live! With Jimmy Kimmel on Tuesday night. For the bit, the group of rappers attempted to locate the comedian’s penis with a magnifying glass and telescope. By the end of the sketch, the sounds of the medical equipment transition into “Still D.R.E.” and Eminem pops up to joke with 50 Cent.

In addition to appearing in the skit, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and 50 Cent, without Eminem, sat down with Kimmel for an interview on the show. In doing so, Dre revealed that Eminem has a new album coming out later this year that he contributed to. “Let me tell you something, let me explain something to you right now: Eminem is working on his own album which is coming out this year,” he said.

I’m actually gonna hear the entire album for the first time for tomorrow. And he holds his music close to his chest so I haven’t heard everything. As per Semrush data, it was also shown that Kardashian had one million searches over an entire year, while Censori had two-thirds as many. Whoopi Goldberg Confirms 'Sister Act 3,' Wants Lizzo and Nicki Minaj in the Movie

The View’s co-hosts, Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin, have followed Oprah Winfrey, who spoke out in her televised special An Oprah Special: Shame, Blame and the Weight Loss Revolution, which debuted on ABC on March 18 and the next day on Hulu, about using popular weight loss medications on the market.

Deadline reports that Goldberg said she made the health decision after weighing nearly 300 while filming the 2022 movie Till. “I weighed almost 300 pounds when I was made Till,” Goldberg said while the Hot Topics segment aired on ABC’s The View. Goldberg starred in the film about the lynch-style murder of Emmett Till.

Get this, Goldberg back in 2021 suffered severe back pain and had to be treated with steroids to aid in her recovery process but also lead to more weight gain.“I had taken all those steroids and was on all this stuff,” Goldberg said, “and one of the things that helps me drop the weight is Mounjaro.” Okay, so if you didn’t know, Mounjaro is a prescription weight loss medication in the same world as Ozempic.

Goldberg said she didn’t realize her gain of all the pounds. “I just always felt like me, and then I saw me and I was like, Oh, that’s a lot of me.” Hostin then added she dropped 40 pounds after her own prescribed regimen of Mounjaro. “During Covid I gained 40 pounds,” the co-host said. “All I did was eat. I love to cook and I found out I love to eat. And I was horrified by the fact that I would have to come out on air. So I took Mounjaro.”

Deadline goes on to report that Hostin said the reaction from the public regarding her weight loss was unpleasant, which came as a surprise. “I got all these nasty emails saying you’re too skinny and why did you do this and you’re taking the drug away from diabetics. So there is shame when you’ve gained weight and I had never experienced that kind of shame before. And what I loved about what she [Oprah] said is obesity is a disease…” Right there, Joy Behar The View co-host jumped in and said, “Wait a minute. How is it a disease when you were just eating everything?”

Hostin explained, “I didn’t have the disease, I wasn’t clinically obese.”

“I was,” Goldberg confirmed. In February, Winfrey announced she was leaving the board of directors at WeightWatchers after nine years and was donating her stock to the company to ensure there was no potential conflict of interest after admitting she used weight-loss medications. Good on everyone for their honesty all around, when quite frankly, their health is not anyone else business.

Don Lemon Questions Elon Musk in Dicey Interview About Tech Mogul’s Drug Use And Perceived Hate Speech on X

ICYMI Don Lemon released his electrifying one-hour interview with Tesla and X (Twitter) honcho Elon Musk, which got testy. The former CNN Tonight journalist, who was let go last year by the network, claimed that his interview with Musk claimed that it bothered the tech mogul so much that Musk chose to cancel the launch of Lemon’s planned show on X, named The Don Lemon Show that the two had been preparing for the platform formerly known as Twitter.

Okay, get this. Lemon pulled no punches on who was going to be his new boss; where he asked Musk about when he allegedly smoked weed on The Joe Rogan Experience and even asked about the Tesla founder’s ketamine prescription.

“It’s pretty private to ask somebody about a medical prescription,” Musk fired back. “There are times when I have a negative chemical state in my brain, like depression, I guess. Depression that’s not linked to any negative news, and ketamine is helpful for getting one out of a negative frame of mind. I’m not a doctor, but if someone has depression issues, I suggest they talk to their doctor about ketamine versus SSRIs.” Then Lemon asked if Musk ever abused ketamine, which Musk denied. He said he took a small amount of ketamine about every other week.

Then, things got hot during the last part of the interview. Lemon asked Musk about advertisers leaving X because they now want their content close to a perception of hate speech that was not being moderated. Lemon asked, “Why is that not a form of free speech? They are free to advertise where they want.” Musk responded, “Whereas the other platforms will censor on behalf of other advertisers, the X platform will not.” Lemon asked, “So you said, ‘If they kill the company, it’s them’ — but doesn’t the buck stop with you?”

“Choose your questions carefully – there’s five minutes left,” Musk responded.

Anyway you slice it, the interview was dicey for two people who were supposed to be on track to launch a show together on X. Later in a statement posted to X, Lemon said the interview put an end to any future professional collaborations, where he stated, “Elon Musk has canceled the partnership I had with X, which they announced as part of their public commitment to amplifying more diverse voices on their platform. He informed me of his decision hours after an interview I conducted with him on Friday. That interview will remain the premiere episode of ‘The Don Lemon Show’ on Monday, March 18.”

With Dune: Part Two lighting up the box office, it’s safe to say that Warner Bros. is on a roll. Perfect timing to release the newest trailer for Furiosa, starring Anya Taylor-Joy, from director George Miller. It is the prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road and is billed as part of the post-apocalyptic epic Mad Max franchise. Mad Max: Fury Road was a 2015 reboot that starred Tom Hardy and outdid expectations at the box office. The new installment stars Anya-Taylor Joy to take over the titular character, whom Charlize Theron first played. Variety reports this film’s story is about the “wasteland warrior princess Imperator Furiosa.”

Diving into the reported story, Furiosa follows a young titular character as “she is ripped from her refuge in the Green Place of Many Mothers and, for the first time, forced to face the insanity of the desolate world beyond” from the Variety report. Chris Hemsworth (Avengers, Extraction) and Tom Burke star alongside Taylor-Joy.

The previous film, Fury Road, earned $380 million at the worldwide box office and received 10 Academy Award nominations, including best director, picture, cinematography, and visual effects. The film also won the award for editing, sound, production design, makeup and hairstyling, and costume design. 

Regarding longevity, Furiosa is the fifth installment in the Mad Max franchise. Mel Gibson initially led the franchise in 1981, which essentially catapulted Gibson into stardom. For Furiosa, Miller is back as director and co-wrote the script with Nico Lathouris. 

We won’t spoil the trailer, but let’s say it involves some hair-cutting and arm loss. Like its predecessor, Fury Road, there will be a lot of car craziness and wackos on the wasteland.

Furiosa is raging back to theaters on May 24, 2024. and will be available in IMAX.

Teyana Taylor’s Directorial Debut: ‘Get Lite’ Set at Paramount, Starring Emmy Winner Storm Reid

Teyana Taylor is poised to go behind the camera in her directorial debut for Get Lite, an upcoming film at Paramount, and get this, Emmy Winner Storm Reid is starring. Reid, a rising star is producing the film through A Seed & Wings Productions her production company, and Kenya Barris is producing under his banner, Khalabo Ink Society.

Deadline exclusively reported and here’s the description:

The film follows a studious New York City teenager who has his world upended when he falls for a charismatic beatmaker (played by Reid) who recruits him to join her Litefeet dance crew, forcing him to choose between a safe academic path and his rekindled love of dance.

Get Lite, is written by Eric Gross and will be produced by OFFBRND’s Bill Karesh, along with Reid’s mother Robyn Simpson under A Seed & Wings Productions and Anni Weisband. Taylor is executive producing and Coco Gilbert is co-producing. 

Taylor, has been more than exploring Hollywood as of late as she has been expanding her film/TV resume. This includes great reviews for her leading role in A Thousand and One, a critically acclaimed film.

Reid, who’s known for her role in Euphoria, has become one of the most in-demand young stars in Hollywood. As mentioned she’s an Emmy Winner for her guest role in HBO’s The Last of Us and was seen in Missing and The Nun 2.
