Information and rumors about Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s forthcoming joint album, Vultures, are slowly leaking out. Ty Dolla Sign posted the tracklist last weekend, and Ye held a relatively lowkey listening party in Miami early Tuesday morning, December 12, as per Billboard.

Below is what you need to know.

When Does Vultures Come Out?

The UK’s Independent relayed that the album is due out this Friday, December 15, citing that West confirmed the date during his Miami rave. If and when Vultures is released, it will mark Ye’s first traditional album release since Donda in August 2021. (Although, I guess it is presumptuous to assume anything about Vultures will be traditionally executed.) He dropped Donda 2 in February 2022, but it was a clunky rollout, to say the least. The 16-song album was only available in its full form via his Stem Player platform.

Meek Mill Thinks it Should be ‘Impossible’ to Use Lyrics Against Young Thug and YFN Lucci

Meek Mill Performs "Dreams & Nightmares" Ahead of Game 5 of World Series

Meek Mill is back discussing lyrics being used against rappers in court. With the YSL trial ongoing, and the YFN trial looming, Meek had a message for the lyrics being used against both rap collectives.

“It should be impossible to charge thug and lucci for lyrics because in this studio we all give eachother lines and don’t remember who said what after a high night in the studio,” said Meek. “I have done it with both of them … they both gave me lyrics b4… we all do this!”

In November, the news of lyrics used in the upcoming Young Thug and YSL Rico trial shook Hip-Hop. Meek Mill was acknowledging his fear for the future.

“Locking us for rapping got me scared to do a interview free Jeff free Lucci,” Meek wrote on X.

According to WSB-TV, Judge Ural Glanville conditionally admitted 17 sets of lyrics that prosecutors can use as evidence against Young Thug and his five remaining co-defendants. There must be grounds to use the lyrics in court.

In opposition to the ruling, Young Thug’s attorney, Brian Steel, stated the decision was against free speech. Meanwhile, the prosecutor saw it as deeper.

“Your honor, someone can look at that indictment and say one thing’s for sure, that’s not fantasy, people are dead and murdered and a gang exist,” said Mike Carlson, prosecutor.

YSL Defendent Shannon Stillwell Stabbed In Jail, Trial Delayed

News reports have confirmed that Shannon Stillwell, one of the co-defendants in the YSL(Young Slime Life) RICO trial was stabbed in Fulton County Jail in the early morning hours of December 11.

Max Schardt, Stillwell’s attorney said, “I’m obviously very concerned about my client and I’m gathering information at this time.” Judge Ural Glanville spoke on the stabbing saying, “We’ve had a medical issue come up for one of our participants.”

The judge told the jury they are expected to return at 9 a.m. Tuesday and he will let them know at that time if they are able to continue.

Stillwell, who is also known as “SB” , is one of five defendants charged with murder and attempted murder in connection with the death of Donovan Thomas Jr., who was shot and killed at a barbershop in Castleberry Hill. in 2015. It is alleged that Young Thug rented the car used in that drive-by shooting.

Stillwell was stabbed by Willie Brown, who was initially arrested by the East Point Police Department on July 2020 on several charges, including aggravated assault, murder and cruelty to children, and is being held without bond.

Stillwell is facing two counts of first degree murder alongside the YSL RICO charges

The Young Thug RICO Trial Was Postponed After One Of His Co-Defendants Was Stabbed In Jail

The ongoing RICO trial against Young Thug and YSL was unexpectedly suspended due to a stabbing at Fulton County Jail. The victim was one of Young Thug’s co-defendants Shannon Stillwell, according to local news, with Judge Ural Glanville telling the jury, “We had a medical issue come up with one of our participants, so we’re going to recess for the day.”

Fulton County Jail has had a well-publicized recent history of violence, with a capacity of just 1,125 inmates and a population nearly three times that at 3,000. A November report counted 10 inmate deaths this year alone, making Fulton one of the nation’s deadliest. In fact, Young Thug and Gunna paid bail for 30 inmates in 2021 so they could go home and be with their families after being held on minor charges but being unable to pay their bonds.

Thug and Gunna both repeatedly requested bond hearings in the lead-up to the trial, only to be denied each time, with prosecutors arguing they were a danger to the community and a flight risk. Gunna eventually accepted a plea deal in which he pled guilty to being part of a gang in exchange for time served. While it’s clear the prosecution wants to use plea deals like Gunna’s as evidence that YSL is a gang rather than a music label, some fans (and peer artists) remain convinced Gunna “snitched” for his reduced sentence — even though they maintain, like the defense, that YSL is not a gang (and thus, Gunna wouldn’t have anything to tell in the first place, right?).

YSL RICO Trial Day 8: Officer Henry’s Testimony Shakes Up Trial; Defense Attorney Questions Stolen Gun Report

Young Thug

The YSL RICO trial took an unexpected turn on its eighth day as Officer Henry took the stand to give his testimony against defendant Marquavius Huey. Here’s an update on the latest developments in the ongoing YSL trial, involving Young Thug.

Attorney Matthews To The Rescue

Infamous Sylvia has kept a keen eye out for the latest updates regarding the trial.

Officer Henry’s testimony in the YSL trial created a sensation, as defense attorney Carlton Matthews skillfully brought up inconsistencies in his report. Matthews revealed that the handgun Officer Henry had reported stolen was reported by a Winder, Georgia, resident named Jeremy Smith, using the serial number SYN195

During his cross-examination, Matthews grilled Officer Henry and pointed out discrepancies in his statements. The defense attorney confronted him about the details surrounding the stolen gun and questioned his credibility on the witness stand. The intense exchange between Matthews and Henry added to the already charged atmosphere in the courtroom.

Trial Goes Sour

As the trial progressed, it became apparent that Officer Henry was not cooperating with Attorney Matthews, creating a tense trial. The attorney’s relentless pursuit of the truth seemed to unsettle Henry, leading to a heated exchange of words and a deteriorating relationship between the witness and the defense.

The culmination of the day’s events came when Judge Glanville made a drastic decision. Dismissing Officer Henry permanently from the trial, the judge also called off the continuation of that evening’s hearing.

The unexpected turn of events left both the prosecution and the defense scrambling to adjust their strategies moving forward. The dismissal of Officer Henry raises questions about the reliability of the evidence presented so far and casts doubt on the prosecution’s case.

With the trial on pause until Friday, Dec. 8, at 12:30 pm EST, all eyes remain on Marquavius Huey and his defense team as they prepare for the next phase of the trial.

YSL RICO Trial Day 7: Controversy Surrounds Young Thug’s Brother’s 2020 Arrest

Young Thug’s brother Quantavious Grier takes the spotlight in the ongoing YSL RICO trial as the details of his 2020 arrest are brought to light on Day 7. A reluctant 911 custodian named Sharon also takes the stand to testify about an incident in 2018. Here’s a closer look at the latest developments in the trial that have left everyone in anticipation.

Quantavious Grier’s Arrest & Contradictory Reports

After the midday trial for Day 7, Infamous Sylvia is here to report the conclusion of the trial.

According to Sylvia, the testimony and cross-examination continued as controversial elements emerged, adding to the already intense atmosphere. Officer McKesey’s off-duty involvement, conflicting reports on the number of guns found, and the discovery of a large bag of marijuana form the crux of the case.

Marijuana Discovery & Conflicting Testimonies On Firearms

Officer McKesey, who was off-duty during the incident, called in the 2020 arrest of Quantavious Grier. Two officers, including arresting Officer Duane Thomas, arrived at the scene.

It was during this arrest that a significant discovery was made – a large bag of marijuana was found under Grier’s vehicle. However, there seems to be a discrepancy in reports regarding the number of guns found. Officer McKesey claimed to have discovered three guns, while Officer Thomas reported only one gun.

Reluctant 911 Custodian

Intriguingly, a key witness named Sharon Latners, a 911 custodian, was called to testify.

Sharon’s demeanor in court was less than cooperative, as she rolled her eyes multiple times and sighed heavily. Her testimony revolved around an incident in 2018, where she provided detailed information about a 911 call made regarding a shooting at a basketball court.

As the state, defense, and the judge collectively deliberated for several intense minutes, the implications of the testimonies unfolded. The contrasting accounts, the discovery of drugs, and a seemingly uncooperative witness have added further complexity to the trial surrounding Quantavious Grier.

YSL RICO Trial Day 7: Off-Duty Officer Testifies Against Young Thug’s Brother

Quantavious Grier, the brother of Young Thug, was the subject of witness testimony in Day 7 of the YSL RICO trial. Officer Stephen McKesey took the stand to testify about a 2020 gun arrest during a gas station run-in.

Officer McKesey Testifies Against Quantavious Grier

Infamous Sylvia is embedded at the scene, providing eyewitness details of testimony in the YSL RICO trial. The trial continued on December 6th at the Fulton County Courthouse where Officer Stephen McKesey took the stand on Day 7. He described details of an incident from 2020 involving Quantavious Grier, the brother of rapper Young Thug.

McKesey’s testimony began with a contentious atmosphere, as Judge Glanville exhibited a strict approach towards the defense attorneys. The judge sustained objections, leading to speculation about potential favoritism towards the prosecution.

What Happened At The Gas Station?

The spotlight was firmly on Officer McKesey, who proceeded to recount an incident involving Grier at a gas station during his off-duty hours in 2020. McKesey proceeded to describe the incident that prompted his intervention.

While off-duty, he said he observed an altercation involving Grier and another individual at a gas station. Concerned, McKesey stepped in and said he noticed blood on one of the individuals’ shirts. He assumed a scuffle had taken place and called for backup. Grier was arrested that night on charges of possessing a stolen firearm.

He testified that Grier was wearing a red sweatshirt and that he saw a gun in Grier’s car. However, these crucial details were absent from McKesey’s original police report which undermined the veracity of his testimony. The officer also failed to mention any gang activity or affiliation in his report.

They Look Alike?

While on the stand, McKesey was asked if he could identify Quantavious Grier in the courtroom. He said he had spotted Grier earlier the same day at the Fulton County Courthouse.

The defense attorney for Huey questioned McKesey about Grier’s presence in the courtroom. The officer testified that he had seen him earlier in the morning but claimed not to see him at that moment.

McKesey, struggling to identify Grier in the courtroom, noted a resemblance between Grier and one of the young Black men sitting in court, saying, “They look alike.” Quantavious Grier was not present in the courtroom as he is currently incarcerated.

Court watchers online grumbled that the comment was racist and even questioned the officer’s job competence.

What To Expect This Evening On Day 7

Meanwhile, Young Thug made a stylish appearance in the courtroom, dressed in an all-cream ensemble. His girlfriend, Mariah The Scientist, was absent during the morning session but is expected to attend the evening phase, where four more witnesses are anticipated to testify.

YSL RICO Trial Day 6: 4 New Witnesses Take The Stand

Day 6 of the YSL RICO trial was marked by the testimonies of four new witnesses at the Fulton County Courthouse in Atlanta. Assistant Prosecutor Simone Hilton stepped in for Prosecutor Adriane Love, while Young Thug demonstrated affection towards his loved ones in the courtroom. As the state tries to build its case, questions about its preparedness linger. Here is a recap of the day’s events.

Four New Testimonies

The day began with the presence of Infamous Sylvia, covering the trial that has captivated the attention of many.

Hilton, the assistant to Prosecutor Love, wielded her expertise to conduct witness examinations in Love’s absence. Throughout the day, four witnesses,  including three officers and a representative from the forensics department, took the stand to share their testimonies.

One of the officers provided insights into the K9 unit, highlighting the dog’s certification and its role at the crime scene. Meanwhile, Sylvia recalled the involvement of an ex-defendant, BB, who was initially one of the defendants in the case before taking a plea deal due to complications with his attorney.

Currently serving time in jail for a separate crime, BB hopes to receive a positive review from the parole board after serving at least 85% of his sentence. Another significant case that involved the ex-defendant was surveilled with marijuana in a 2015 case.

Young Thug Has A Soft Side

This incident coincided with the involvement of the K9 unit, and the evidence was even captured on Instagram Live. A locked car containing 17 ounces of marijuana, drugs, and paraphernalia was discovered during the surveillance.

As the trial progressed, Young Thug, or Jeffery Williams, was seen in court interacting with his loved ones. Despite his mother’s absence on this particular day, his father and Mariah The Scientist were by his side.

Williams and Mariah complemented each other’s attire, with Mariah donning a vested pinstripe suit and clear heels. Affectionate gestures, including eyewinks, whispers of “I love you,” and air kisses, were exchanged between Williams, his mother, and Mariah.

Upcoming Evening Updates

The upcoming evening sessions are expected to display footage of the body camera footage from the night Williams was arrested, adding to the intrigue surrounding the trial. While the state continues to face questions about its level of preparedness, the case moves forward with more witness statements expected from additional officers.

YSL RICO Trial Day 5: Young Thug’s Fashion Statement Takes Center Stage

On Day 5 of the YSL RICO trial, the defense scored a win as they crushed the prosecution’s witnesses in cross-examination. However, it was Young Thug’s fashion choice that stole the spotlight.

Head Wolf In Charge

Young Thug, real name Jeffery Williams, appeared in good spirits on Monday, Dec. 5, as he sat with his legal team on Day 5 of the YSL RICO trial.

The incarcerated rapper, who revealed a new acronym for his name in Week 1, wore a luxurious $1,200 chocolate brown Dior sweater with a wolf image on the front. Fans speculated that he was subtly trolling the State Prosecutor, who had referred to him as the “leader of the wolf pack” in her opening statements.

Mariah Sits Pretty In An Ugly Situation

Mariah the Scientist, Young Thug’s girlfriend, again sat for the courtroom hearing.  Always giving fashion looks, she wore a $2,000 pair of brown leather D2Squared Skate Moss shoes with her hair pulled back into a ponytail and a black velvet bow.

The To Be Eaten Alive artist told SOHH reporter Infamous Sylvia exclusively that she picks out the court looks for Young Thug and that the brown wolf sweater, though a subliminal shot, was purely coincidental.

Defense Crushes Police Witnesses

Three police officers and a crime scene tech were called to testify, but it was Sgt Charles Ross who drew attention with his “cocky” demeanor and eye-rolling as he left the stand.

The state presented evidence of a 2013 carjacking crime committed by Trontavious Stephens, a separate defendant in the RICO case. Stephens was found with marijuana and a stolen car containing a gun and distribution paraphernalia, leading to felony charges.

While the jury seemed bored at times, the defense team was relentless in their cross-examination of the state’s witnesses.

Defense Doubles Down

In a calculated defense strategy, attorneys for the defense aggressively rebutted and questioned the police witnesses, exposing flaws in their testimonies and highlighting the absence of gang-related records for the 2013 crime.

The defense’s tag team approach, featuring attorneys from multiple co-defendants, effectively crushed the state’s witnesses in cross-examination.

Court watchers have raised concerns about the leniency shown to the state prosecution by Judge Glanville. Despite multiple instances of unpreparedness, the judge has not reprimanded the state. As the trial progresses, five additional police officers are slated to testify the following day, which promises further drama and intense legal battles.

Week 1 Recap

The YSL RICO trial had a rough start last week with live testimony from the Fulton County Courthouse in Atlanta. Young Thug was seated in the courtroom with his lawyers, co-defendants, and supporters.

A pic of his girlfriend, Mariah The Scientist, went viral as the songstress made fashionable appearances each day, including a twinning moment with her boo on Day 3.  Moreover, Judge Glanville deflected several mistrial motions as the prosecution struggled through opening statements and an eyebrow-raising “jungle” analogy.

Defense attorneys captivated the mostly female jury with a poverty narrative explaining the rough life growing up for the six men on “Bleveland Avenue” in Atlanta. State witnesses included a “gang expert” who decoded hand symbols and a former strip club “house mother.”

Week 1 Recap: ‘Truly Humble Under God’

Contrary to popular belief, Steel announced that name was an acronym for “Truly Humble Under God,” showcasing a new perspective on his artist persona. Further testimonies shed light on the relationship between Young Thug and his co-defendants.

Steel, who testified for almost two hours, sought to distinguish and sever the rappers’ connection to the crimes of his co-defendants. He explained that, though they all came from the same area, Thug didn’t “know” the defendants.

Casanova Swallows A Tough Pill

Other rappers in legal trouble for racketeering include Casanova who faced a setback in pursuing freedom as a federal court ruling rejected his plea for compassionate release. Despite expressing remorse and distancing himself from the gang, the Brooklyn rapper’s quest for an early prison release remains unsuccessful, prolonging his sentence.

YSL RICO Trial Day 7: Off-Duty Officer Reveals Damning Testimony Against Young Thug’s Brother

Young Thug

Infamous Sylvia is back on the scene, providing all the juicy details of Day 7 at the YSL RICO trial. With the trial reaching its peak, the proceedings took a dramatic turn as Officer Stephen McKesey’s testimony provided potentially damning evidence against Young Thug’s brother Quantavious Grier.

Officer McKesey’s Testimony

As the trial continues at the Fulton County Courthouse, Officer Stephen McKesey took the stand, bringing forth a crucial incident from 2020 involving Quantavious Grier, the brother of rapper Young Thug.

McKesey’s testimony began with a contentious atmosphere, as Judge Glanville exhibited a strict approach towards the defense attorneys. The judge’s sustained objections led to speculation about potential favoritism towards the prosecution.

Nonetheless, the spotlight was firmly on Officer McKesey, who recounted an incident involving Grier from his off-duty hours in 2020 involving Grier. During his testimony, McKesey revealed that he had spotted Grier at the Fulton County Courthouse on the day of his appearance.

Wrong Guy?

When defense attorney Huey questioned McKesey about Grier’s presence in the courtroom, the officer admitted to seeing him earlier in the morning but claimed not to see him at that moment.

Interestingly, McKesey also pointed out a resemblance between Grier and one of the young Black men sitting in court, emphasizing their physical similarities, which brought upon a potentially racist and prejudice outlook to most viewers, leaving them to question whether or not these racist remarks are made on purpose for a “mistrial.”

What Happened At The Gas Station?

McKesey then proceeded to describe the incident that prompted his intervention. While off-duty, he observed an altercation involving Grier and another individual at a gas station. Concerned, McKesey stepped in as he noticed blood on one of the individuals’ shirts and assumed a scuffle had taken place.

Additionally, he noted that Grier was wearing a red sweatshirt and saw a gun in Grier’s car. Surprisingly, these crucial details were absent from McKesey’s original police report. The officer also failed to mention any gang activity or affiliation in his report. As the trial unfolded, Grier found himself arrested that night on charges of possessing a stolen firearm.

The 4 New Testimonies

YFN RICO Trial Officially Set To Begin Early Next Year

Young Thug’s YSL RICO trial is already underway and dominating headlines with new revelations almost every day. But fans are already looking towards what’s next with the YFN RICO trial. That case is headlined by YFN Lucci whose name has already come up in connection to Young Thug. During the pre-trial proceedings, the judge in the YSL case ruled lyrics from certain Young Thug songs admissible. One of the lyrics chosen by the prosecution was alluded to be about Lucci, though many online have disputed that.

Now Lucci is inching ever closer to ultimately learning his fate with an official date set for the YFN RICO trial to begin. That date is January 8 which could put it in line with some of the other high-profile rap cases being heard across the country right now. The YSL RICO trial is expected to last quite a long time and should certainly intersect with the beginning of the YFN trial. It could also coincide with YNW Melly’s second trial. His first came earlier this year but ultimately ended in a mistrial and he’s been in jail ever since waiting for the start of his next trial.

YFN RICO Trial Gets Official Start Date

The YFN Trial has been delayed for months while the YSL RICO trial unfolded. Part of that likely had to do with YSL Lil Woody who is reportedly an informant. Earlier this year video leaked of him specifically snitching on YFN Lucci. Lucci was also expected to potentially testify in the YSL case though that doesn’t seem like it will ultimately happen.

The official trial start date of January 8, 2024 is almost exactly a year after it was scheduled to originally start on January 9, 2023. What do you think of the YFN RICO trial potentially coinciding with the YSL RICO and YNW Melly trials? Which of the high-profile rappers do you expect to beat their cases? Let us know in the comment section below.
