Wiz Khalifa Labels Himself & Snoop Dogg The New Cheech & Chong

Wiz Khalifa hasn’t outsmoked Snoop Dogg yet but the two are undoubtedly the most prolific stoners of our time. Snoop took Wiz under his wing after Wiz took off in the rap game. Since then, they’ve developed a strong bond with one another that they stamped with the success of “Young, Wild & Free” ft. Bruno Mars.

The song became the lead single from the soundtrack of the movie, Mac & Devin Go To High School. In the same way that Method Man and Redman delivered an iconic stoner film with How High, Mac & Dev served a similar purpose in Snoop and Wiz’s career. The film developed a strong cult following, despite the negative reviews.

The movie dropped over 10 years ago but the two are coming through with a sequel. Snoop announced a sequel to the film, titled High School Reunion, was coming this summer. The rapper shared photos of himself and Wiz smoking out in the studio when he shared the news. Then, Wiz the same photos and called himself an iteration of the iconic stoner duo, Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong. “We the new Cheech and Chong,” he captioned the post with the hashtag #HighSchoolReunion.

There’s little information regarding the upcoming sequel to Mac & Devin Go To High School. However, Wiz and Snoop have been plotting on its release for nearly a decade at this point. Snoop said in a 2014 interview that production companies wanted him and Wiz to produce a sequel. At the time, he also said that he and Wiz would deliver an accompanying soundtrack to the film, as well. However, it appears that the film was dropped shortly after only to be picked up, once again, over a decade after Mac & Devin Go To High School initially dropped.

Besides the new film, Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg have been tied to a Smoker’s Olympics. Last year, Styles P issued a challenge to all of hip-hop’s most notable smokers in hip-hop to see who can stand the longest in a smoke out. Though many accepted the challenge, it hasn’t gone down yet. Hopefully, this comes to fruition this year, as well.

Amber Rose Says People Are Obsessed With Her & Kanye West’s Past Relationship

As one of the most well-known rappers in the world, Kanye West has been in no shortage of high-profile relationships throughout his career. Of course, his marriage to Kim Kardashian is one of the most talked about. However, fans also love to reminisce on the time he spent romancing Amber Rose.

The pair were together from 2008 to 2010. They made a serious mark on pop culture with their bold style choices and wild antics. Things obviously didn’t work out between them. At this point, though, Rose sounds as though she’s moved on from the past.

She made this clear during her recent appearance on the Sofia with an F podcast. During the interview, the host asked the model which of her exes she loves more – West, or Wiz Khalifa?

“Out of Kanye and Wiz? Wiz, girl!” Rose replied with a laugh. “That’s not even a question. I think people like to ask about my relationship with Kanye, but it was 13 years ago guys,” she reminded listeners. However, the mother of two did still give the Yeezy creative credit for the role he played in helping her rise to fame.

“I feel like people are obsessed with [Ye and me] because it was a great time in pop culture,” she additionally dished to Sofia Franklyn. “But in my personal life, it is not relevant.”

In the same interview, Rose reflected on the current state of her love life, revealing that she would be content being single forever. “It’s worse than ever,” she said of the present dating game. “[Men are] pretty disgusting out here. They’re f*cking gross.”

On the opposite end of the spectrum, West has already married again. He and Australian beauty Bianca Censori tied the knot less than a year after his separation from Kardashian was finalized.

Wiz Khalifa Seemed To Really Enjoy Dominating His Son On The Basketball Court

Wiz Khalifa claimed during a recent trip to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that he learned Michael Phelps has “better lungs than Aquaman” after smoking with the all-time Olympic great. Could Wiz beat Phelps in a swimming race? Most likely not. But we have proof that he can at least handle his nine-year-old son, Sebastian, in basketball.

A video shared by HipHopDX shows Wiz, who reportedly stands at at least 6’2″, easily scoring on Sebastian and another one boy. At one point, one of the boys complains, “You’re cherrypicking!” But Wiz isn’t here for the excuses.

Wiz gave fans a window into his training methods this morning, January 9. “Don’t matter if you sore from last week still get yo ass in the gym this week,” he tweeted. Of course, two weed-centric tweets preceded it:

A lighthearted game of backyard basketball was probably the perfect antidote for Wiz after he “tripped and fell in the pool in my 10 thousand dollar suit” on New Year’s Day.

The multiplatinum-certified rapper performed his breakthrough “Black And Yellow” and last year’s “Memory Lane” for the Los Angeles hub of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, which also featured performances by Halle Bailey, Finneas, Dove Cameron, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, and more.

Wiz Khalifa Took A $10,000 Loss On New Year’s Eve After Destroying A Designer Suit In A Silly Mishap

He may jokingly have ‘better lungs’ than Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps, but rapper Wiz Khalifa will need pockets deeper than a bank if he keeps burning through money like he did this weekend. In many cultures, the way you start the new year foreshadows how your year will pan out. Based on what the “Black and Yellow” rapper shared on Twitter, he might want to look into starting a monthly budget.

Yesterday (January 1), Khalifa hinted at the wild night he had while bringing in the new year, writing, “I tripped and fell in the pool in my 10 thousand dollar suit last night.” Not happy with the hefty financial blow, the songwriter continued, “y’all can take me back to last year ’cause this ain’t it.”

Even with the minor financial setback, Khalifa has no regrets as he followed up his story with, “New year. Same me.”

As a master manifester and budding businessman (owning upcoming mushroom and psilocybin wellness brand Mistercap as well as delivery-only restaurant Hotbox by Wiz), it is only a matter of time moments until he makes the money he lost back.

Wiz Khalifa Says He’s “#NeverDrinkingAgain” On His New Single

Before the year ends, Wiz Khalifa has one last treat for his fans. Over the past few weeks, the Taylor Gang artist has been teasing a new single on social media. On Friday (December 30), it finally landed on DSPs. Aptly titled “#NeverDrinkingAgain,” the song finds the rapper reflecting on a wild night of partying after promising he was retiring from booze.

“How did I slip up? / When I said I wasn’t drinking again,” he asks as the track begins.

Later on, Khalifa rhymes, “It was just me, two women / We was in my backyard swimming / Smoking weed, rockstar living / They was drinking out the bottle, I was chilling.”

For the most part, “#NeverDrinkingAgain” finds him singing more than rapping – something that’s become a sort of trend on his recent releases.

Other titles to debut from Khalifa lately include the remix of Fetty Wap’s “Sweet Yamz,” as well as his work with Kid Ink on “Big Burna.” Additionally, he dropped off his Multiverse album, and the deluxe cut, during the warmer summer months.

Elsewhere in the news, the “Black and Yellow” made it known earlier this month that he’s down to face off against Lil Wayne in a Verzuz.

While chatting with Superstar Jay, Wiz shared, “Wayne. I think that would be fun, ’cause Wayne’s a really dope performer. So it’s like, me and him going back and forth performing bangers, that sh*t [would] be hard. And we both smoke hella weed. I think that would be more like a concert than a ‘Verzuz.’”

Quotable Lyrics:

It be like two shots then I’m loaded
Then them two shots turn to 40
Then I wake up in the morning
Like
How did I slip up?
When I said I wasn’t drinking again

Wiz Khalifa Revealed Which Two Rappers He Would Want To Battle In A ‘Really Fun’ ‘Verzuz’ Challenge

Wiz Khalifa recently did an interview with DJ Superstar Jay in support of his newest album, Multiverse, where he revealed who his dream Verzuz opponents would be. The discussion, which happens around the 14-minute mark, brought up the popular series.

He picked two rappers who he thought would make a fun competition: Lil Wayne and Kid Cudi.

“Wayne – I think that would be really fun,” Wiz said. “Because Wayne’s a really dope performer, so it’s like, me and him going back and forth, performing bangers – that shit would be hard. And we both smoke hella weed. I think that would be more like a concert than a VERZUZ.”

As for why he picked Kid Cudi, he shared some sweet words about the fellow rapper. “He’s somebody who is like me…” he added. “We’ve got a multifaceted audience, and then he’s got some classic, like, core stuff – the same way that I do.”

Fans in the comments on the video interview also had some thoughts about the potential pairings.

“He really does smoke the best weed to think that. Him VERZUZ tyga or rocky would be cool tho,” one wrote.

Another named all the hits that Wiz has had, from “Black And Yellow” and “See You Again” to “Young, Wild And Free” as evidence for his Verzuz impact.

“those just his most mainstream sh*t lmao y’all tweaking thinking wiz can’t at the very least hang,” they commented. “the only difference is wayne is a little more versatile and has a couple extra years on his résumé! I don’t think y’all give wiz the credit he deserves culturally.”

Mr. “Black And Yellow” Wiz Khalifa has definitely etched his position in today’s Hip Hop landscape and with several accolades under his belt, Khalifa is now looking to face off against one of the game’s greats in a VERZUZ battle.

The Pittsburgh native made the challenge during an interview, saying, “Wayne. I think that would be fun, ’cause Wayne’s a really dope performer. So it’s like, me and him going back and forth performing bangers, that sh*t [would] be hard. And we both smoke hella weed. I think that would be more like a concert than a Verzuz.”
