Boosie Badazz Challenges Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa To A Smoke-Out

There have been several discussions over the years of hosting a smoke-off among rap’s most enthusiastic stoners including Boosie Badazz. Though several individuals have presented challenges against hip-hop’s top smokers, nothing has necessarily materialized. Last year, Styles P called out Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, and B-Real, among others, to go joint-for-joint with him. “I could out-smoke Curren$y,” he said. “I can out-smoke Uncle Snoop, Curren$y, Bern and Wiz,” he continued, asserting himself as one of the leading smokers in rap.

Unfortunately, the actual Smoke Olympics didn’t materialize but there’s still hope. In fact, it seems as though others would be interested in joining this event, as well. Artists like Redman and Method Man remain cult-like figures in the world of weed while many of the younger MCs have also showcased their high tolerance.

Boosie Badazz Challenges Snoop & Wiz

The latest rapper to introduce a smoke-a-thon among his peers is Boosie Badazz. Though he isn’t necessarily considered a “weed rapper” like Berner or Snoop Dogg, he’s still an enthusiast. Most recently, Boosie hit Twitter where he issued a challenge to Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa specifically. The Louisiana native explained that he’s confident he could not only keep up but out smoke both of the rappers if he had an opportunity.

Boosie Badazz proposed that they broadcast the event for the world to see and laid down some ground rules. He said that he wanted them to bring their strongest weed to the table and go three rounds with different strains. “I WANNA DO A SMOKE OUT CHALLENGE WITH @wizkhalifa N @SnoopDogg let’s stream it for the world to see,” he wrote. “I THINK I CAN TAKE THEM… LET’S GO OG.” There’s no doubt that this would be one of the funniest live streams to take place if it were to happen.

So far, we haven’t heard from Snoop Dogg but Wiz Khalifa was quick to accept the challenge. However, he did ask for Boosie to provide the munchies while he’ll bring some of the finest weed available on the market, as well as some psychedelics. “Ima bring the extracts and my bong just make sure we got some food,” he wrote. “I might stay an extra dat and shroom wit u.”

Wiz Khalifa Responds

Wiz Khalifa’s “Star Power” Drops On Streaming Platforms

As Wiz Khalifa’s first drop of 2023, the rapper has finally released his 2008 mixtape Star Power on streaming platforms. As one of the 35-year-old’s first projects, Star Power was instrumental in putting Khalifa on the map as the rapper he is known as today. Although the initial mixtape featured 26 songs, including five freestyles, its new release has been consolidated to 23 tracks. Still, artists like Johnny Juliano, Chevy Woods (who previously went as Kev Da Hustla), and Boaz make their feature on Khalifa’s cosmic album.

Dropping 15 years after its initial conception, Star Power proves to remain timeless in inducing energy and momentum. The upbeat album marks the “So High” singer’s commitment to evolving as an artist, which also involves personal growth. In a recent interview with GQ, Khalifa reflects on how he had “partied hard” in his 20s, but now is committed to instilling healthy habits in his day-to-day life through his “Wiz Wellness Plan.” The mixtape release of Star Power was conceptualized by 20-year-old Khalifa, which is reflected in the album’s unapologetic lyrics and youthful beats.

Wiz Khalifa’s 2008 Mixtape Gets A Revamp

Star Power features some of Khalifa’s iconic hits, like “Ink My Whole Body” and “So High.” The totality of the album can be listened to in just a little over an hour and is filled with feel-good jams from the rapper’s early days. Needless to say, this project is worth revisiting.

Although Khalifa primarily focuses on his health and fitness goals right now, including a rigorous MMA training schedule, he still finds time to connect with his inner artist. Last year, the award-winning rapper dropped his seventh studio album, Multiverse, which continued the cosmic allusions of his 2008 mixtape. Be sure to check out Star Power, available on streaming platforms today. As always, keep in touch with HNHH for the hottest news on all things hip-hop.

Wiz Khalifa Releases His 2008 Mixtape 'Star Power' to Streaming Services

Wiz Khalifa‘s mixtape Star Power is now available on all streaming sites, fifteen years after its first release. The release features “Ink My Whole Body,” “So High,” and “Flickin Ashes.” Star Power is now available on all platforms via Taylor Gang/Rostrum Records.

“I’m pumped to have Star Power on streaming platforms for fans to hear their favorites from this tape,” Wiz said of the release.

Star Power is a key release from Wiz Khalifa’s early career, helping to define his lush and sumptuous sound and establish his reputation as the game’s hardest-working and most talented stoner. The tape, hosted by DJ Deez, includes multiple guest appearances from Wiz’s close associate Chevy Woods, then known as Kev Da Hustla, as well as production sculpted at the legendary I.D. Labs by Pittsburgh natives such as Sledgren, E. Dan, Johnny Juliano, Rocky Fontaine, and Big Jerm, who produced hits for Wiz, Mac Miller, and others during his career.

With the help of Rostrum Records, Wiz Khalifa’s attempts to clear his legendary mixtapes for streaming services continue with the release of Star Power. Wiz finally released his lauded 2012 mixtape Taylor Allderdice on all platforms last year, allowing fans to revisit one of his career highlights. The rapper commemorated the 10th anniversary of his legendary Kush & Orange Juice mixtape in 2020 by making it available on streaming sites and creating limited-edition vinyl. Later that year, Wiz published “The Thrill,” his early single featuring the iconic Empire Of The Sun sample, to digital service providers, obtaining the band’s approval and crediting them as lead artists on the song.

You can hear the mixtape below.

Wiz Khalifa has announced a seven-city Good Trip tour with Joey BadA$$, Berner, Smoke DZA, and Chevy Woods. The tour, produced by the Smoker’s Club, will include seven gigs in seven days, culminating on April 22 at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Wiz Khalifa Says Smoking Weed Helps His “Breath Control”

“So High” rapper Wiz Khalifa has dug deep into his relationship with weed. In his recent GQ interview that dropped last week (February 16th), the 35-year-old dishes on his “Wiz Wellness Plan,” which includes training in MMA and smoking Khalifa Kush. When asked if smoking affects his workouts, Wiz revealed that his weed habits actually aid his ability to keep up. “Nah, I got really good cardio,” he explains, “I honestly think smoking weed helps my wind a little better because I have breath control and I’m able to take these deep, long breaths that normal people who don’t drag strong marijuana—they don’t experience that.”

Wiz, who added 40 pounds of muscle this past year, has been focusing on his personal wellness over the last few years. Accordingly, he has followed through with a routine that highlights his personal growth through fitness, diet, and sleep. Focusing on his physical health has in turn helped him mentally, the rap icon reveals. “Mentally, it helps me stay disciplined. It keeps me on track, it challenges me and it gives me goals to achieve each step of the way,” he explains. To Wiz, focusing on his goals gives him an incomparable sense of “gratification.”

Wiz Khalifa’s Religious Gym Regimen

Wiz starts his day at five in the morning and hits the gym after a hearty breakfast. The father-of-one says that no matter what, he sticks to his five-day workout routine. The rapper specifically trains in Muay Thai and MMA, which has contributed to his “discipline.” When reflecting on his training, Wiz says he enjoys “learning and developing different skills and assets that are good for the sport and good for other areas in life as well.”

Currently, Wiz is an appointed judge for the Professional Fighters League’s eight-part “Challenger Series.” He initially joined the PFL partnership in 2021. “I do everything that I can from making theme songs to showing up at the events and performing,” the award-winning artist says. Chlöe And Wiz Khalifa Will Grace NBA All-Star Weekend By Headlining ‘The NBA On TNT American Express Road Show’

Following the surprise trade that sent Kyrie Irving to the Dallas Mavericks from the Brooklyn Nets, it’s up in the air whether Irving will be on the East or West squad in the 2023 NBA All-Star Game on February 19. But today, February 6, Uproxx can exclusively report on Chlöe and Wiz Khalifa’s whereabouts to tip off NBA All-Star Weekend.

Chlöe and Khalifa are set to headline the NBA On TNT American Express Road Show at The Complex in Salt Lake City, Utah on Thursday, February 16.

Per a release, “the day-long fan experience will include a live studio broadcast,” which will be anchored by the beloved Inside The NBA ensemble of Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Shaquille O’Neal.

It continues, “In addition to the live telecast, the free event will offer fan competitions via the NBA on TNT Arcade, food, drinks, premium giveaways and other interactive games throughout the evening, as well as watch parties for the matchups: Milwaukee Bucks at Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Clippers at Phoenix Suns.”

Chlöe, Uproxx’s August 2022 cover star, is gearing up to release In Pieces, her debut solo album due out in March. She dropped the soulful “Pray It Away,” its lead single, in late January.

Meanwhile, Khalifa started 2023 by performing “Memory Lane” from his July 2022 album Multiverse and his breakthrough hit”Black And Yellow” during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. Wiz Khalifa Joins DVBBS On Their “Sh Sh Sh (Hit That)” Single

EDM producers DVBBS just tapped Wiz Khalifa for their own spin on a viral track with “Sh Sh Sh (Hit That).” Moreover, its inspiration “Hit That” by Urfavxboyfriend and Goldsoul caught a lot of attention recently on TikTok. The original’s a dark but oddly charismatic trap cut, thanks to the whooshy mouthed sounds of gunfire from the artists. After its success, DVBBS loved what they heard and reached out to all artists involved to do a collab together. Furthermore, their take on “Hit That” is a house and jungle-inspired dance cut that mixes the original’s verses with heavy kicks and a Wiz verse.

However, the track still switches up its genre of choice and its instrumental pallet quite often in the track. As such, the various phases, transitions, and movements throughout “Sh Sh Sh” make it a pretty dynamic track. First, the track begins with an energetic build-up to Urfavxboyfriend’s verse, which uses house-like rhythms. Then, it switches into a small trap section with deep bass and sharp percussion. Finally, distorted bass breaks the song up before resonant grand piano chords introduce Wiz’s verse. “I’m rolling papers like diplomas,” he begins his charismatic and focused contribution. “I’m getting baked like this a sauna / I love all the woman, different genres / I seen all expensive s**t and bought it.” Overall, “Sh Sh Sh (Hit That)” is a fun and fittingly to-the-point reimagining of a fun and to-the-point viral track.

Meanwhile, What did you think of DVBBS’ remix of Urfavxboyfriend and Goldsoul’s viral hit, “Sh Sh SH (Hit That)” featuring Wiz Khalifa? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments and check out the cheeky music video for the song down below. Also, if you haven’t heard it yet, you can find the new track on your preferred streaming service. As always, come back to HNHH for great new releases each week within hip-hop and beyond it.
