Last week, Kanye West (who legally changed his name to Ye in October 2021) made a surprise appearance at Travis Scott’s Utopia — Circus Maximus Tour and performed several classics from his discography. He was also joined by Bump and Ty Dolla Sign to perform “Vultures,” the title track of Ye and Ty Dolla Sign’s forthcoming joint album-turned-three-part-project.

As is the case with most everything Ye does, the Vultures rollout has been clunky, including several delays, But it appears that Vultures is set to release as most recently announced – Vultures Vol. 1 due out this Friday, February 9, the second volume on March 8, and the third volume on April 5 — because listening events are scheduled throughout this week.

First, they announced a Vultures listening event at Chicago’s United Center — which Ye said sold out in seven minutes — for Thursday, February 8. And Wednesday, February 7, Ye posted “VULTURES UBS ARENA NEW YORK 02 09 2024″ to his Instagram Story.

Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign Announce “Vultures, Volume 1” Listening Party In New York

Fans are only days away from hearing the first installment of Kanye West’s new album with Ty Dolla Sign, Vultures. The release will follow plenty of delays and teasing. To celebrate the eagerly-anticipated drop, Ye announced a listening party in Chicago this week, which is scheduled to take place on February 8 at the United Center. Now, he’s announced yet another listening party, this time in New York. The event will take place at the UBS Arena in Belmont Park on February 9, 2024.

“Fans will have the rare opportunity to experience ‘Vultures, Volume 1’ in a high-fidelity audio and visual showcase, crafted by YE and Ty Dolla Sign,” a description on the venue’s website reads. “This event marks a historic moment as attendees will listen to the album together with the artists and album collaborators.”

New York Listening Party Scheduled For February 9

Tickets for the New York listening party go on sale tomorrow. Those eager to secure their spots should get in early, as tickets for the Chicago listening party sold out almost immediately. This is far from the only exciting performance Ye has lined up, however. Recently, he took to social media to share that he was having trouble getting venues to book him, which resulted in countless well-connected friends reaching out. Eventually, he seemed to have gotten enough dates together for a world tour, though the shows are tentative at the time of writing. The tour would include dates in Atlanta, Chicago, Toronto, Tokyo, Dubai, and more.

A screenshot has also been making its rounds online, showing a text message from someone seemingly telling Ye that the Corcovado in Brazil, the Great Wall of China, and the Giza Pyramids would “love to have” him. Kanye West Claims He Is Being Blackballed By Major Concert Venues For Obvious Reasons

After several delays, it looks like Kanye West is finally dropping his Ty Dolla Sign collaboration album, Vultures this Friday (February 8) — maybe. But either way, it appears that Ye is having trouble booking venues. In a clip shared to social media, Ye expressed frustration after having supposedly been blackballed by the live music industry.

“We just sold out the United Center in seven minutes and I just wanted to express to everybody out there to see if anybody can help with this,” Ye said in his Instagram Story. “It’s the only arena I had access to in the past year. And when I call, people say there’s no availables for me and you know why that is. If there’s anybody out there that can help with this, please do.”

As for “you know why that is,” Ye is likely referring to his various antisemitism controversies (or his various non-antisemitism controversies).

In following Stories, Ye shared that he reached out to rapper Freddie Gibbs for help. Shortly after, Gibbs informed Ye that several venues across the world are supposedly interested in booking him.

Gibbs shared a spreadsheet of venues that supposedly expressed interest in booking him. Venues in Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City are evidently wanting to add him to their lineup. Internationally, it looks like venues in Cairo, Dubai, and London may book him soon as well. It appears that if Ye is to tour soon, the tour will kick off this June, and go until 2025.

You can see details of Ye’s and Gibbs’ chat above.

Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign Drop New Song With North West And Get Rave Reviews

Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign are dropping Volume 1 of Vultures on Friday. Overall, this is going to be a huge release. Although some are concerned that Ye will delay the album again, it seems like he is actually on track. There is a listening party at the United Center on Thursday, and there is a real release plan for Friday evening. Needless to say, it seems like the album is organized in a way that it never was before. Not to mention, a new song was released today while folks were drinking their morning coffee.

The song in question is called “Talking / Once Again” and is more of a double-track than anything else. Overall, the first half of the track features North West who has her own part. It comes across like an interlude of sorts that then transitions into “Once Again.” This track is kicked off by the likes of Ty Dolla who delivers some heavenly vocals. Subsequently, Ye comes in and delivers a solid performance of his own. You can check out the music video for this new song, down below.

Kanye West Taps Ty Dolla Sign & North West To Star In New Music Video, “Talking/Once Again”

Kanye West has shared a new music video titled, “Talking/Once Again,” featuring both his daughter, North West, as well as his frequent collaborator, Ty Dolla Sign. The track arrives while he and Ty prepare for the release of their new album, Vultures, on Friday.

North previously performed her opening verse on the song at Wynwood Marketplace in Miami back in December. In response to the finished product, fans are proclaiming her and her father the best in the game. “I’ll let you finish, but Miss Westie has one of the best videos of all time,” one fan commented on the music video. Another wrote: “Kanye is literally the greatest. It’s just no way around that.”

The collaboration with Ty Dolla Sign comes as the two prepare to release a new album together, Vultures, on Friday. The tracklist is expected to feature Charlie Wilson, Freddie Gibbs, Quavo, Playboi Carti, Chris Brown, YG, Future, and several more artists. One rapper not making the cut is Nicki Minaj, who rejected West’s request to include “New Body” on the project. “I made that girl rewrite her verse three times for ‘Monster’. I supported her career. So I don’t know what it is. But we going to get this or we just ain’t going to push it,” West remarked in response.

Ye just made headlines, earlier this week, for complaining about the difficulty he’s been having booking stadiums in which he can perform. “We just sold out United Center in seven minutes, and I just want to express to everybody out there to see if there’s anyone that can help with this,” West said in one clip re-uploaded by a fan account. “It’s the only arena that I had access to in the past year. And when I call, people say there’s no avails for me, and you know why that is. So if there’s anybody out there that can help with this, please.” Be on the lookout for further updates on Kanye West on HotNewHipHop.

Kanye West, North West, & Ty Dolla Sign Come Through With Surprise Drop “Talking / Once Again”

Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign have been teasing their new album Vultures for quite some time. However, they have pushed back the release date numerous times. Now, the album is set to drop its first volume on February 9th, which is Friday. Overall, this is some very exciting news. That said, there are some fans out there who just aren’t all that convinced that he will actually drop it. After all, Ye has made promises before that he just was not able to keep. Although this time, he seems committed to delivering the project on time.

We say that because just moments ago, he shared the music video for “Talking / Once Again.” The song “Talking” features none other than North West who delivers her “Miss Westie” verse. This is a verse that had been teased at a listening party in Miami. After weeks of anticipation, that verse has finally arrived. The video, directed by the D’Innocenzo brothers, showcases close-ups of Ye, North, and Ty Dolla Sign.

As you make your way through the track, you will notice that “Talking” only features North. Overall, this makes this part of the track feel like some sort of interlude. Meanwhile, “Once Again” is its very own thing with Ty and Kanye delivering some angelic vocals. Sonically, it is a unique song and it quite an improvement from the album’s lead single Vultures which was filled with questionable bars. Only time will tell whether or not this new project ends up living up to the hype.
