Rick Ross Calls DJ Envy “A Lil Dude,” Denies Disrespect

During his recent appearance on The Morning Hustle, Rick Ross spoke on his relationship with DJ Envy. On top of their car show beef, the performer’s thrown jabs at Envy for his alleged involvement in a real estate scam on multiple occasions. What seemingly began as playful trolling eventually escalated, particularly following some of the more recent developments. Earlier this month, it was reported that iHeartRadio offices were raided in connection to the case, though the FBI denies this. A source who spoke with TMZ alleged that feds were there to tell Envy that his business parter Cesar Pina had been arrested, however.

While Envy has maintained his innocence, that hasn’t stopped countless fans and peers from chiming in. “15 names on one piece of land, 14 n***as gonna take the stand,” Rick Ross recently spat on Instagram, referencing the alleged scam. While Rick Ross’ comments on the matter appear to have only ramped up, he claims that they’re still all in good fun. “That’s still not even on my skyline,” he explained. “That’s still small talk to Rozay.”

He went on, denying ever getting disrespectful with his comments online. “That’s a lil dude, that’s a lil guy,” he described. “You can see he wasn’t on his A game. He should have just bowed out, tapped out.” Rick Ross continued, telling Lore’l that they should have Envy’s alleged victims on the show. “The old ladies,” he explained. “The old ladies who may be outside in the cold this winter.” He continued to throw shade, appearing to doubt Envy’s claims that he had “nothing to do with” the alleged scam.

Andrew Tate Appears To Call Russell Brand’s Alleged Rape Victims “Crazy B*tches”

Today, The Times dropped a hard-hitting piece about several woman who’ve come forward with allegations against comedian Russell Brand. The four individuals accuse Brand of physically, emotionally, and sexually abusing them. One of them also alleges that the abuse occurred when she was 16 and he was 31.

The outlet’s story provides detailed accounts of each woman’s experience. The piece also includes some receipts, which appear to show Brand acknowledging his abuse of at least one of the women. Obviously, things aren’t looking good for him, and the investigation is ongoing. With that being said, Andrew Tate, who’s known for his controversial stance on women’s rights, recently took to X to defend him. He described the alleged victims coming forward as a “Matrix attack,” appearing to suggest that their accusations are unfounded. This wasn’t the first time the personality compared real life to the sci-fi franchise, however, the comparison seems all the more questionable due to the nature of the allegations.

Tate went on to share a meme of a knight commencing to battle, complete with the caption “On my way to fight these crazy b*tch allegations.” Brand took to his YouTube channel ahead of The Times‘ story coming out, denying the then-unnamed allegations. He described the situation as a “coordinated attack,” claiming that all of his past sexual relationships have been consensual. “I’ve received two extremely disturbing letters, or a letter and an email,” he explained. “One from a mainstream media TV company, one from a newspaper, listing a litany of extremely egregious and aggressive attacks. But amidst this litany of astonishing, rather baroque attacks, are some very serious allegations that I absolutely refute.”

He went on to describe himself as being “very, very promiscuous” in the past, again, insisting that his encounters have always been consensual. Brand further claimed that there are “witnesses whose evidence directly contradicts the narratives” that he says the two outlets are trying to push. R. Kelly To Pay Victims $10.5 Million For Alleged Shooting Threat

Six women are to be awarded a total of around $10.5 million for alleged threats made against them by R. Kelly and his team. The individuals were looking to hold a screening of the docuseries Surviving R. Kelly in 2018, however, it was eventually called off due to the threats. According to the civil suit, the victims now struggle with PTSD as well as panic attacks as a result.

TMZ reports that Kelly and his former manager, Donnell Russell, had attempted to get the screening shut down for some time. They allegedly made various attempts, which even included threatening the victims legally. According to the outlet, however, those attempts didn’t work. They then decided to take things up a notch, reportedly telling producers on the night of the screening that someone was “going to shoot up the place.

The outlet also reports that the new judgment means each woman should be receiving somewhere between $1.1 million and $2.25 million. Unfortunately, Kelly has failed to properly pay his victims in the past, and whether or not he’ll actually come up with the cash is unknown. Luckily, it was reported this week that a judge ordered for Kelly and Universal Music Group to hand over $500K in the artist’s royalties in order to pay back his victims.

The news comes after the convicted sex offender got 20 years added to his prison sentence earlier this year. 19 of those years will be served concurrently with his 30 year sentence. He’s serving time for various counts of sexual abuse. Earlier this summer, he accused the prison he’s in of neglecting his medical needs, claiming he’s “scared for [his] life.” Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on R. Kelly.

R. Kelly & UMG Ordered To Pay $500K In Victim Restitution From Royalties

It seems like, despite R. Kelly’s failure to comply with victim restitution, the court is still able to get the money victims deserve. Moreover, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ Hip Hop, a judge signed an order into effect that garnished $500K from the convicted singer’s royalties amid his twenty-year prison sentence for sex crimes. Apparently, Universal Music Group held a lot of his royalties and hadn’t yet paid this amount in victim restitution, for which legal authorities had to intervene. In addition, reports suggest that much of these unpaid royalties stem from the R&B artist’s older hits that UMG hadn’t cashed in yet. Specifically, the company has over $567K in royalties.

Furthermore, this would cover R. Kelly’s outstanding debt of $506,950.26 to victims- and then some. Of course, these royalties mostly relate to his past material because, when it comes to new music, the Chicago native did not see a lot of success. Labels and imprints quickly dropped him among his trials and controversies. Regardless, many fans still hold on to his classics and big tracks, and even with all of this legal reckoning in mind, they still hold a lot of weight for listeners.

In fact, the 56-year-old’s chances of ever returning to the musical realm seem quite slim. While many support him in terms of still listening to and praising his music, they also acknowledge that things are too far gone. Dame Dash is one of many industry titans who spoke on the R. Kelly situation and thought justice came to light. “I think he’s where he belongs,” the Roc-A-Fella affiliate explained. “I know Aaliyah, so I know what he did, I can’t be objective about that, you know what I’m saying? But he definitely seemed like he needed some help.

“I couldn’t believe [Jay-Z] did a project with R. Kelly knowing that he had r*ped my girl,” he added. “I was like, ‘Just don’t put my name on that, I don’t want no money from that. If it is, put it to Aaliyah foundation.’ Like, they did this s**t twice.” For more news and the latest updates on R. Kelly, come back to HNHH.

YNW Melly Update: Family Of Victims “Disgusted” By Him Grinning During Trial

YNW Melly’s murder trial for allegedly killing YNW Jury and YNW SakChaser has gotten no shortage of updates since its beginning on Monday (June 12). Moreover, one of the most illuminating pieces of eyewitness reports we’ve gotten concern the Florida rapper’s demeanor throughout. For example, firsthand testimonies in the courtroom claimed that Melly seemingly cried as hospital footage of his alleged victims played during proceedings. However, new reports show a different side to the story. According to court correspondent Bryson “Boom” Paul of the Law & Crime Network, the victims’ families recoiled at the 24-year-old’s attitude.

“Victims family is disgusted by [YNW Melly] displaying a devious grin and brushing his chin,” the journalist wrote. “Family is in disbelief at his new demeanor.” While there is understandably little photographic evidence to accompany many of these statements, there is a livestream available to watch the trial unfold. In addition, you will find no shortage of footage that made its way to sites like Twitter. All that is to say that this is a more publicly available process than many might believe, so each will come to their own conclusions.

YNW Melly Reportedly Grinning In Court To Victims’ Families’ Dismay

Regardless, Paul is among many journalists who have provided consistent updates on every moment of the trial. One of the most recent developments has been YNW Melly appearing to pray before trial began on Tuesday (June 13). In addition, he is not the only popular rap figure present in the courtroom. Boosie Badazz showed up in support of Melly, and reporters updated fans on him as well. Fredo Bang’s name also came up from prosecutors, who claim that the alleged killer asked Bang to pick him up after the murder.

Meanwhile, the defense argued that another suspect already admitted to the double murder via Instagram. Also on Instagram, the Gifford, Florida native asked fans to pray for him and watch the trial’s livestream. Under new Florida state law enacted by Ron DeSantis, it might be easier for Melly to face the death penalty. As such, many are concerned for his life regardless of guilt, as he is the first on trial subject to these new changes. But to have the victims’ family witness these good spirits must not be easy. For the latest news and updates on YNW Melly and his trial, stick around on HNHH.

YNW Melly Trial: Rapper Seemingly Cries As Victims’ Hospital Footage Plays In Court

Emotions are running high in Broward County, Florida today as YNW Melly’s double-murder trial finally kicks off. The embattled star has been behind bars since 2019. Now, attorneys will attempt to prove his innocence in the gruesome slaying of two affiliates nearly five years ago. Fans have heard semi-regular updates from Melly via Instagram during the wait. They’ve chiefly included details of the alleged abuse he’s endured at the hands of correctional staff.

When appearing in court on Monday (June 12), the “Murder On My Mind” hitmaker seemed to be in good spirits. His long hair was pulled out of his face, and he donned a navy blue suit, looking far more grown up than when he was first locked up on first-degree murder charges. So far today, those in attendance have heard opening statements that, according to Melly’s former lawyer, Bradford Cohen, prove the prosecution has “an uphill battle ahead of them.”

YNW Melly Reportedly Emotional in Court Today

As per AllHipHop, Cohen shared via Instagram that there are many “difficult issues” for them to prove, such as Melly’s pulling of the trigger. “The faulty investigation, motive, no DNA, no GSR [gunshot residue], no murder weapon, no evidence that he pulled the trigger. Very tough case for a prosecutor,” the celebrity attorney explained. Part of what was presented today included footage of YNW’s alleged accomplice arriving at the hospital with the two victims, claiming they had been a part of a drive-by shooting.

As the video played, many women related to the deceased left the courtroom. At the same time, the accused killer appears to wipe his eyelids, seemingly overwhelmed with deep feelings. It’s likely YNW Melly’s emotion is only amplified by the potential of the death penalty looming on his shoulders. While it was previously removed as an option in his case, more recent updates have made it easier than ever for the 23-year-old to receive the fatal sentence. Read all about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Pooh Shiesty Ordered To Pay Shooting Victims $156K In Restitution

Authorities recently ordered Pooh Shiesty to pay restitution to victims of a 2020 shooting he was involved in. According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the Memphis rapper must pay $156,585 to those injured in the incident as part of his sentence. Also, the documents indicate that earnings made while behind bars must contribute to this total payment sum. As readers may remember, officials took Shiesty in for a 2020 shooting involving himself and other actors in a Miami parking lot, which left 2 injured.

Furthermore, surveillance video from the scene shows the artist sitting in a McLaren with an assault rifle amid gunfire. After his arrest, the court sentenced him to 63 months in prison last April. Previously, he pled guilty to one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence. Not only that, but Pooh must undergo drug and alcohol treatment programs and serve three years of supervised release upon his sentence’s end. Since this whole ordeal, we’ve heard from him sporadically, but not consistently. However, his most recent message to fans last week left many perplexed.

Meanwhile, his mentor Gucci Mane recently spoke out against the 23-year-old’s harsh living conditions behind bars. “We do not pay attention to how inmates in the US are treated,” the 1017 Records mogul wrote on Instagram. “@poohshiesty has been sent to a prison over 1500 miles from his home, 23 hr lockdown and given empty food trays.” Though things don’t look bright for the “Back In Blood” rapper, fans were happy to hear from him again. On that note, come back to HNHH for the latest news, updates, and messages from Pooh Shiesty.
