Drake Declares Travis Scott’s “Utopia” As The Best Album On The Market

Drake is someone who has worked with Travis Scott quite a bit in the past. Overall, they always seem to appear on each other’s albums. Of course, Scott has been on albums like If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, More Life, and Certified Lover Boy. Moreover, Drizzy has returned the favor with appearances on Astroworld and more recently, Utopia. The Canadian megastar was on the song “Meltdown,” which has become a fan favorite on streaming services.

Recently, Travis Scott came out to perform with Drake at his Vancouver show. 21 Savage can’t make it into Canada, which means Drizzy has been seeking replacements. In Montreal, the artist brought out J. Cole, which was a huge moment for both artists. Although with Travis dropping one of the biggest albums of the year, fans in Vancouver were extremely appreciative. In a more recent show, however, Drake seemed to have some extra praise for Scott.

Drake Praises Travis Scott

As you can see in the video above, he declares Utopia as the best album out right now. Utopia spent a whopping four weeks atop the charts, which was certainly an impressive feat. Now, however, fans are waiting for Drizzy to drop For All The Dogs. This is a project that promises to be the biggest of the entire year. Moreover, it could very well lead to hip-hop’s first number-one song of 2023. Unfortunately, a release date for the new project has still yet to be revealed.

For All The Dogs is an album that promises to bring back the “old Drake.” Or at least that is what the artist is making us believe. At this point, fans just want it to be released already. Let us know what your expectations for the album are, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. The tour’s expansion follows Travis Scott’s spectacular sold-out performance at the legendary Circus Maximus in Rome, Italy, where he captivated a crowd of 60,000 in just two days.

Adding to the tour’s buzz is the monumental success of UTOPIA, deemed the biggest hip-hop release of 2023. Spotify named it the most streamed album in its first week in 2023, and Apple Music confirmed it as the most streamed album on its first day.

Travis Scott’s New Movie “Aggro Dr1ft”: Everything We Know

Travis Scott made his grand return with the release of his fourth studio album, Utopia last month. Utopia was a star-studded event that made for the biggest hip hop release of the year so far. Riding the momentum of his latest album, Scott also announced tour dates for North American shows. He gave fans a teaser of his upcoming tour when Drake brought him out as a special guest during his Vancouver concert, performing album highlight “Meltdown” for the first time. In addition to promoting Utopia, Travis Scott is expanding his repertoire with an upcoming film, titled Aggro Dr1ft

Harmony Korine, known for films like Spring Breakers and most recently, Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus, serves as the movie’s director. Circus Maximus brought Korine into Scott’s Utopia while this upcoming collaboration appears to see Scott going into Korine’s artistic world. As we await the film’s release, here is everything we know about Aggro Dr1ft.

Produced by Iconoclast and EDGLRD, Aggro Dr1ft is an experimental action movie filmed entirely with infrared photography, providing a unique aesthetic, per the Toronto International Film Festival. The 80-minute long movie “orbits around a melancholic assassin named BO as he prepares to vanquish a demonic crime lord in a Floridian realm of vivid pinks, blazing yellows, and deep purples,” according to the Toronto Film Festival. Aggro Dr1ft takes place in Miami and “aesthetically recalls the perverse spheres of crime-ridden video games like Grand Theft Auto.”

The Canadian film festival asserts that the movie’s plot is very minimal, emphasizing its unique visual stylings. An experimental endeavor, Korine stated at the Locarno Film Festival that he has “never made anything like it” before. Travis Scott’s role in the film is described as “a literal snaked-tongued militia leader.”

In addition to Travis Scott’s appearance, Spanish actor and filmmaker Jordi Mollà will star as BO. The film’s description states that Mollà’s role is “haunted by the spectre of an enormous computer-generated demon,” giving viewers an idea of what to expect.

Another exciting detail about Aggro Dr1ft is that Araabmuzik, the hip-hop and electronic producer known for his MPC skills and collaborations with The Diplomats, A$AP Rocky, and Cardi B, will score the soundtrack. The film’s music will reportedly lean more towards the Rhode Island producer’s electronic side.

Travis Scott Announces “Circus Maximus” Tour Dates

Travis Scott will be hitting the road this fall in support of Utopia. The rapper announced the Circus Maximus tour on Tuesday night, around the time he joined Drake on stage in Vancouver. The Houston rapper’s upcoming tour will solely include North American dates, for now. The tour flyer does state that it’s the “first leg,” indicating that he’ll undoubtedly be adding additional dates in the coming weeks. Perhaps, we could expect more dates in North America, along with international shows.

The upcoming tour runs from October 11th to December 29th, starting in Charlotte, North Carolina. He’ll also be touching down in cities such as Raleigh, Dallas, Kansas City, Denver, and more. Although he hasn’t announced a show in his hometown yet, Travis Scott will be touching down at a number of major cities such as New York City, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami, Chicago, and Detroit. Finally, he’ll conclude the first leg of the Cirus Maximus tour in Toronto on Dec. 29th, which seems to indicate that Drake might join him on stage.

Travis Scott Gears Up For Fall Tour

The tickets for the Circus Maximus tour will officially be on sale this Thursday at 10 a.m. local time. Travis already gave fans a sneak peak of what to expect from his upcoming tour. Although he didn’t get the opportunity to perform at the Pyramid of Giza in Egypt as previously planned, he delivered a stellar show in Rome. As we’ve seen in the past, Travis always emphasizes the quality of his performance so there’s no doubt that he’ll be going all out on his upcoming tour.

Interestingly enough, the tour dates seemingly confirm the rumors that Travis Scott will be replacing 21 Savage on the Canadian dates of Drake’s It’s All A Blur tour. Last night, Travis Scott joined Drake on stage in Vancouver and will presumably be joining him again for the second show tonight (Aug. 30). The final Canadian dates will be in Toronto on October 6th and 7th, a few days before Travis kicks off his own tour. So it seems likely he’ll be making an appearance in the 6ix, too. Check out the tour dates above.

Travis Scott’s “UTOPIA” Now Has Over 1 Billion Streams On Spotify Alone

Is anyone really surprised that Travis Scott’s long-awaited UTOPIA is among the most successful albums of the year so far? The project keeps amassing a lot of commercial milestones, the most recent one being that it surpassed a billion streams on Spotify alone. Moreover, this isn’t taking into account the avalanche of other platforms’ streams, physical sales, and bundles that propelled it into platinum-eligible status. Even vinyl sales records for hip-hop albums shattered with the Houston MC’s latest full-length. As such, it’s poised to be not just one of the most money-making moments of the year, but one of the most culturally impactful, in the sense that its hype and conversation has been incessant.

If you’re curious, the most streamed song from UTOPIA on Spotify (excluding the single “K-POP,” which has 123 million as of writing this article) is a no-brainer. Travis Scott and Drake’s reunion on “MELTDOWN” has over 101 million streams, and next up is the Playboi Carti collab “FE!N.” Other often-streamed tracks off it are “I KNOW ?,” “TELEKINESIS,” and “MY EYES.” The least streamed is, unsurprisingly, the interlude-like “PARASAIL” with 24 million streams, followed by the Westside Gunn and James Blake-assisted “LOST FOREVER” with 28 million (which is absolutely criminal).

Travis Scott Keeps Amassing Wild Numbers For UTOPIA

With these numbers in mind, it’s no surprise that UTOPIA will likely go number one on the Billboard charts for a fourth consecutive week. However, there are still some standards to live up to when it comes to Travis Scott’s commercial success. For example, each of his past three studio albums amassed over 2 billion streams on the platform. It probably won’t be long until this new project reaches that mark as well, but only time will tell how the album continues to age.

As much money as it’s netting La Flame, UTOPIA has undoubtedly been his most divisive release so far. Amid fans’ own criticisms of the project, there’s his Astroworld controversy to account for, which many fans thought he didn’t do a compelling job of taking responsibility for on the album. Regardless, maybe a couple of more years will change this perception for better or worse. Stay posted on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Travis Scott.

Travis Scott’s “Utopia” Becomes Platinum Eligible

Travis Scott has been dominating the charts over these past few weeks. Of course, this is all thanks to his brand-new album, Utopia. Although this album doesn’t have a single radio “hit,” it is still seeing a ton of album sales. Overall, this is thanks to merch bundles and vinyl records selling for a price of $5. At this point, Scott knows how to maximize sales, no matter what. It is an admirable trait to have, as it has ultimately brought him a ton of success. Even in the streaming era, he finds new ways to sell physicals.

As we reported yesterday, Travis Scott will be number one on the Billboard charts for the fourth week in a row. He is expected to sell around 150k units of Utopia which is massive at this stage in the album’s cycle. Of course, he will likely be dethroned soon. However, there is no doubt that he is stoked about these numbers. In fact, in just under a month, Scott’s album is now eligible to go platinum. Yes, that’s right, Utopia has sold over 1 million units since July 28th.

Travis Scott Does It Again

As it stands, the album has yet to be officially certified by the RIAA. Instead, Scott will have to submit the album for certification and will need to wait a bit. However, it seems like just a formality at this point. At the end of the day, this is a huge accomplishment for Scott as it means all four of his studio albums are platinum. It is an impressive feat that just goes to show how big of an artist he is.

Moving forward, Scott will have an opportunity to stack even more accolades. He is going to go on tour across North America, and fans are very excited to watch it play out. Let us know if you will be attending the upcoming tour, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. Travis Scott’s “Utopia” To Go Number One For Fourth Straight Week

Travis Scott is one of the biggest artists in the world right now. Overall, Utopia has only made him that much more popular as an artist. His current album is doing extremely well on the charts. Moreover, he is now the most listened-to rapper in the entire world. These are all massive accomplishments, and there is no doubt that Travis has a lot more in store for us. For instance, he is about to embark on an arena and stadium tour across the United States. Hopefully, tickets for that drop soon.

As for his current standing on the Billboard charts, Utopia is currently at number one. This has been the case for three weeks in a row. Overall, many of the album’s sales have come from merch bundles. Additionally, he has been selling a ton of vinyl records which has ultimately led to wild numbers. Travis is doing big things, and fans have been curious if he can go number one for an entire month. According to a report from DJ Akademiks, he actually can.

Travis Scott Is Going Platinum

After selling about 180K units in the third week, Utopia is going to sell another 158K in the fourth week. At least that is what the projections are telling us. As Akademiks explained, 90K of these sales are bundles and physical album sales. This is a massive deal for Scott as it means he will go number one for the fourth week in a row. It is likely the last time he will go number one, as Drake’s For All The Dogs is set to be released on Friday.

No matter what, these are great numbers, and it is awesome to see Hip-Hop back at number one this year. Let us know what you think of Utopia, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the music world. We will always be sure to keep you informed.

Travis Scott’s “UTOPIA” Ties With “ASTROWORLD” For His Longest-Running No. 1 Album

Travis Scott’s UTOPIA reigns atop the Billboard 200 albums chart once again, cinching its third week at the No. 1 spot. Moreover, this reflects continued interest and playback for the long-awaited project, which didn’t please everyone but certainly provoked a lot of conversation. In fact, if it goes number one for another week, then La Flame will beat his personal best when it comes to chart-topping albums. His previous full-length, ASTROWORLD, also spent three straight weeks dominating the charts, so we’ll see if UTOPIA beats it out within another week or so. While it hasn’t matched the sheer sales numbers of the 2018 LP during their first weeks, it would still be quite impressive.

Also, many might point out that Travis Scott doesn’t necessarily have a whole lot of albums to compete with in his work. After all, there are only four studio albums to work with, all of which garnered astonishing commercial success. Regardless, this plays with the narrative of which one is his best, a debate that will likely never cease to intrigue fans. You might not love UTOPIA, but the “I KNOW ?” MC definitely created a moment with it that he keeps turning into a milestone.

UTOPIA & ASTROWORLD Tied For La Flame’s Longest-Running No. 1 Project

Meanwhile, if you look at UTOPIA‘s physical record sales, then this Billboard dominance should come as no surprise. Furthermore, the album beat its own record that it set just weeks prior for the biggest vinyl sales week (93K copies) for a hip-hop album in recorded history. The conversation around bundles inflating these numbers and other considerations hasn’t died down, which slightly taints these accomplishments in many’s eyes. Still, with five covers to collect, Travis Scott isn’t exactly making that subtle.

Travis Scott Beats His Own Vinyl Sales Record

As such, a lot of conversation among fans surrounding UTOPIA is focused on the music itself, because commercial success kind of comes with the territory. Tracks like “MY EYES” and “DELRESTO (ECHOES)” make for some of the most unique in his discography, although many compared the tracklist to many other artists’ work. People are still debating about their favorites and revisiting them, and that longevity’s starting to show up in the charts in a big way. With that in mind, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Travis Scott.

Travis Scott Caught Dancing To “FE!N”

In a newly-surfaced clip, Travis Scott is seen showing off his dance moves to the rhythm of his UTOPIA track featuring Playboi Carti, “FE!N.” The video appears to have been taken on the artist’s excursion to Ibiza earlier this week. He’s seen hanging out next to the pool of a giant yacht, as the person recording calls out to him. “OG, what we doin’ baby?” they shout, prompting the hitmaker to get down.

While some social media users were impressed by Travis Scott’s dance moves, others appear to be more impressed with the yacht. “U know u made it wen have a mf pool on a yacht,” one user notes. During the adventure the artist also spent some time cruising around on a jet ski, eventually switching to a water board. He was joined by various friends, including Instagram model Tianna Lynnm. The performer looked to be in good spirits during the outing, and for good reason.

Travis Scott Gets Down

It’s no surprise that Travis Scott is living his best life these days. The performer is still hot off the massive success of his new album, UTOPIA. He dropped the LP back in July, boasting several high-profile features from Drake, The Weeknd, Beyonce, Westside Gunn, and more. Today, it was even revealed that the Houston-native is now the sixth most-streamed artist on Spotify. On top of that, he’s now also most-streamed hip hop artist. He’s managed to garner 74 million listeners on the streaming platform, surpassing Drake. There doesn’t appear to be any bad blood between them, however, and fans are even speculating that Travis will make an appearance on Drizzy’s next album, For All The Dogs.

In UTOPIA‘s first week, it became the performer’s third No. 1 album, selling a whopping 496K units. Two of the LP’s tracks also made it in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. The songs were “MELTDOWN” featuring Drake and, of course, “FE!N.” The Playboi Carti-assisted banger became an instant fan-favorite upon the album’s release, and one of the most successful of the batch.
