The Kid Laroi & Quavo Want To “Slow It Down” On Their Collab

After taking a long hiatus following the release of F*CK LOVE 3+: OVER YOU in 2021, The Kid LAROI came back firing on all cylinders in 2023 with his official debut album. THE FIRST TIME features hits like “NIGHTS LIKE THIS” with some of the deluxe cuts now causing some buzz. “BABY I’M BACK” and “GIRLS” are the ones ringing off at the moment. However, now the youngster from Australia is back in this creative groove, he doesn’t want to slow things down. The Kid LAROI is here this weekend with “SLOW IT DOWN,” a sexier pop rap/pop crossover with former Migo, Quavo. It’s their first collaboration and given their ability to adjust to so many genres, the team-up almost makes too much sense.

The single follows up on “APEROL SPRITZ,” an indirect love letter to pop star and girlfriend, Tate McRae. Given the lack of time in between releases, it seems like LAROI is back in album mode. Genius apparently has the inside scoop, with WATCH THIS! being the supposed title. The “STAY” rapper and singer hasn’t formally announced anything on his socials, but we think this is a real possibility. He’s on a hot streak, so why ruin that? “SLOW IT DOWN” definitely has the potential to be another hit for LAROI with its sticky melody and chorus. Check it out with the link below and see if you agree with our assessment.

Lil Yachty’s Concrete Boys Teammates Draft Day & Dc2trill Link For Ultra Wavy Single “Calling 4 Backup”

Lil Yachty has taken so many big steps and leaps over the last year and change. Overall, it’s hard to argue against the fact that they all paid dividends. He went from dropping inconsistent projects to putting out two of his boldest and most colorful statements to date. Let’s Start Here. and his James Blake collab joint Bad Cameo saw him explore new genres and sounds. On top of that, his rapping has greatly improved with efforts like “The Secret Recipe.” However, he’s also become a record label founder in this time, launching Concrete Rekordz and his accompanying posse, Concrete Boys. There was a bump in the road along the way, as KARRAHBOOO departed in ugly fashion. However, Lil Boat still has multiple talents onboard.

Two of them are Draft Day and Dc2trill, and they are continuing to build out their own careers more with “CALLING 4 BACKUP.” This is the former’s release and there’s speculation that he’s dropping a solo tape soon. The last time we got one from the Florida native was in 2019 with the aptly named First Round Pick. However, Genius is also saying that the potential Rookie Season is a collab tape with Dc2trill. Regardless of whether or not we get it, “CALLING 4 BACKUP” is a fun, laid-back, and braggy cut. The druggy slow-mo vocal effects amplify that vibe tenfold, along with the dreamy boom-bap beat.

Sheff G & Sleepy Hallow Release Separate Album Singles Together With “Today” & “Mmm”

Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow are like two peas in a pod. Both have been prominent voices in the New York drill scene for a few years apiece and they each have tons of hits under their belts. Naturally, their stars align quite often, and their work relationship seems to be stronger than most out there. Given all of this, it’s no surprise that they are releasing together once again. However, it’s not how you may expect. According to a press release, “Today” belongs to Sheff G and will land on a new album. Then, “Mmm” is a Sleepy Hallow only track and is going to be on his future project, READ THIS WHEN YOU WAKE UP.

But the twists and turns don’t end there. Making this slightly more confusing is that they are both out together under a two-pack. It’s called Don’t Sleep While It’s Lit – Part 1, so there might be another EP coming at some point. However, let’s focus on the known facts. Via another press release, Sheff will be dropping his full-length body of work on November 22. It will be called Proud of Myself and will feature Sleepy Hallow, Lil Tecca, and more. Midwxst Reminds The Non-believers He’s Not Going Anywhere On “No Handouts”

Throughout his career, midwxst has taken some risks. For some, they have paid off. For others, they might’ve not. Regardless of the outcomes for the listeners out there, the South Carolina product isn’t going to stop trying and taking his sound to uncharted territories. On his new single “no handouts,” midwxst seemingly addresses the doubters and haters by reminding them he’s going to be around for a long time. “But there ain’t no one that can count me out / Don’t get tired of my name, ’cause you gon’ see me ’round,” he exclaims over a wild hyperpop instrumental.

In addition to remaining resilient, midwxst is also looking out for the future boundary-pushers. “In the center of the photo, so I can’t be cropped / Don’t regard the s*** they say, because they all just talk (One, two, one, two, three, let’s go).” This soundscape is something that the creative has been rocking with for a little bit now. E3 is the project that sees his dive into it the most. It’s a project that has kept our interest in his journey and remains one that we revisit. Speaking of his musical excursion, midwxst looks to be in the process of curating a new project thanks in part to “no handouts.” Overall, nothing is set yet, but he’s been using the #archangel on a lot of his social media posts lately. We will see what happens with that. But for now, check out the track and music video below.

“No Handouts” – Midwxst

Quotable Lyrics:

No matter what you do
Hope you know that everybody won’t look up to you
Hear some critics and some comments, and they’ll say, “F*** you”
They just do it out of spite, don’t let it get to you
‘Cause you’re everything they’re not
If you believe in yourself, then you can’t be stopped

Sukihana Does Her Best Michael Jackson Impression On “WTFO”

One thing to know about Sukihana is that she’s going to do whatever the f*** she wants, and you just have to accept it. If she says she’s not a musician (which she is), then she isn’t. Does anyone remember that quote from her interview from her interview with Bobbi Althoff? We’re going on a tangent, she’s got some new music out, so let’s talk about it. Sukihana’s latest offering is called “WTFO” (Walk The F*** Out) and it’s about what you expect from her.

It’s braggadocious, blunt, and ratchet, and her authentic self. It’s why her fans respect her and come back for more each and every time. However, there is a bit of a curveball thrown on this record. On her second verse, she randomly busts out Michael Jackson’s iconic “hee-eeh” adlib. Suki then utilizes that to emphasize words such as “free” and “me.” It’s quite hysterical and the fans have been talking about it nonstop since its release. Goofiness aside, this seems to be the second track that’s possibly promoting a new project. Nothing has been formally declared yet, but she dropped “WTFO” and coupled it with the previously released “Suki Suki.” If this turns out to be true, it will be her first full-length effort of her career, which started in 2017.

B****, I feel like Michael Jackson, huh, hee-eeh

With a p***y this good, I can’t f*** for free

Saba Thematically & Lyrically Impresses On Another No I.D. Collaboration “How To Impress God”

Saba has shown us throughout his career that he can write and stick to a theme/message with ease. Both of his last two projects, Few Good Things and CARE FOR ME, have numerous displays of this between them. The one gripe we have with the Chicago visionary is that we don’t get to hear from him more. You can call us greedy, but we think anyone would want to hear more Saba when he’s churning out records like “How to Impress God.” This is the latest release alongside prolific producer No I.D. and one the tracks that will be on their collaborative album.

The project is still in limbo, sadly, as it’s drop date is unknown. There is still about two and half months to go before 2025 arrives, so we are holding out hope it comes then. Saba and No I.D. have now shared four previews From the Private Collection of Saba & No I.D. and this one may be the best yet. On “How to Impress God,” the veteran rapper raps from the perspective of God and how he’s moved by any of his flashy things. On the second verse is where things come together, as Saba (God) says that he intentionally was dealt some problems from other people. The way he handled all of the obstacles, no matter how big, he did so with grace and love. It’s a great message for those who feel they need other people’s approval, but it’s also just a excellent motivational record from Saba and No I.D. all around.

Quotable Lyrics:

I sent obstacles on your way, to make sure this what you mean
Some of them was bigger than beast, you fear them the least
I even sent someone to pretend they didn’t believe
I sent people to complicate all the simplest things
The fact that you showed up here is not a surprise
But Saba, you showed love, and that’s all I required

Benny The Butcher & 38 Spesh Drop Coke Bars Galore On “High Stakes”

Benny The Butcher and 38 Spesh are here with “High Stakes,” the third single from their forthcoming collab tape, STABBED & SHOT 2. This track features some classic coke bars from the frequent teammates, as they recount some of their most important deals. Based on the lyrics, they seemed to mold them into the rap stars we know them to be today. “Three bricks and my nephew four, they both a toddler age
I put a block of yay’ in a blender while he potty-train / I was good with one foot in like receivers in college games
,” The Butcher raps.

Prior to “High Stakes,” Benny and 38 Spesh dropped off a nice two-pack for fans. “Jesus Arms” and “Brick Specials” were some fine additions to their joint catalog, with Busta Rhymes joining them for the former. STABBED & SHOT 2 will arrive next Friday, October 18. When it does, it will officially be the sequel to the original that graced our ears back in 2018. Other guests for the 16-track set will include V Don, ElCamino, Ransom, OT The Real, Daringer, Dave East, and more. For now, though, be sure to give “High Stakes” a spin with the new YouTube music video link below.

Droppin’ pocket change for floor seats, the Lakers/Rockets game
Now we got a sports firm, look what a high became

EARTHGANG & T-Pain Pen A Catchy Relationship Cut With “Love You More”

On paper, Atlanta hip-hop duo EARTHGANG and T-Pain may not work out in some people’s eyes. However, if you really think about it, both acts are extremely versatile and can really fit anywhere you drop them in. Also, they have worked together now more than once, if you can believe that. Their first and most recent collaboration landed on Johnny Venus and Doctur Dot’s Mirrorland back in 2019. For those wanting to revisit that before checking out “Love You More,” it’s “Tequila.”

This track is actually leading things off for EARTHGANG, as it’s the first single from their next endeavor, PERFECT FANTASY. Unlike their last couple of releases (EPs), this will be a LP and fans aren’t going to have to wait too much longer for it. The Spillage Village affiliates announced the release date on their social media accounts at the top of October, saying, “PERFECT FANTASY ALBUM COMING 10/29 👾🌍.” The album also looks to have its features laid out too, with Little Dragon, Snoop Dogg, Cochise, and Eric Bellinger being a few of them. “Love You More” is a pretty straightforward cute and sometimes raunchy pop/trap rap cut. T-Pain, one of the best chorus writers of this generation, does it again here with an earworm of a melody. Then, EARTHGANG tie it all together with some speedy verses about getting down with their special women.

Benny The Butcher & 38 Spesh Recruit Busta Rhymes For “Jesus Arms” Two Pack

Benny The Butcher and 38 Spesh may have never been on the same label, but they sure do have an unbreakable connection. Their history spans several years, with countless grimy and hard-hitting collaborations. Sometimes, they come together with joint projects, and they have been doing that since 2008, if you can believe that. It all started with Cocaine Cowboys, released under T.C.F. Music Group. Typically, when you see that label, –run by Spesh– Benny’s Black Soprano Family, LLC is usually attached to their collab tapes.

What we are trying to say is that these two have another record coming out soon and it’s a sequel. On October 18, STABBED & SHOT 2 will hit DSPs over six years after the original Stabbed & Shot. This will just be another day at the office for Spesh and Butch, as both prolific MCs have multiple LPs out in 2024. For the former, this will bring his total to five, and three for the latter. To promote STABBED & SHOT 2, they are here with a two-pack featuring “Jesus Arms” and “Brick Specials”. The former features Busta Rhymes, who is one of nine different guests on this upcoming 16-song set. Check out the tracks with the links below.

Blessed like it’s God in the flesh, you’re not in my league

OsamaSon Drops Heavily Teased Track “Ik What You Did Last Summer”

OsamaSon has developed a sound off the likes of Playboi Carti, Ken Carson, Young Thug, and a plethora of other artists in that similar vein. To make it a little more unique and off-the-wall, the South Carolina native incorporates a bit of underground elements. That comes in the form of the muddier and more unfinished qualities that are in the instrumentals he chooses. Overall, he’s pretty impressionable, but he is still building out his sound. After all, he’s only two years into this. He’s clearly making progress in some people’s eyes as well, because as of this year, he’s now an Atlantic Records signee. One of the tracks that OsamaSon has put out under his new label is “ik what you did last summer”.

In fact, this is his third offering in 2024, and it seems like there will be a project of some sort coming soon. Some unreviewed annotations on Genius are claiming that OsamaSon is working on jumpout. It’s supposedly his third mixtape and there is no release date or cover art available at the moment. What we can confirm is some of the details on “ik what you did last summer”. Leading up to its release just hours ago, OsamaSon had a handful of versions. Three files were discovered, however, one of them was previewed by the song’s producer, ok, on June 14, 2024. Ironically, this track uses the same beat as “California”, which is by Nettspend and is a frequent collaborator of Osama’s. In fact, he even shouts out Nett on the track. Hear “ik what you did last summer” with the link below.
