Erick The Architect & James Blake Are The “Wonder Twins” On “2-3 Zone”

Erick the Architect has us buzzing about his upcoming debut album, I’ve Never Been Here Before. It is due to release on February 23 and all of the singles have been interesting and extremely worthwhile listens. About a fourth of the 16 tracks have been released ahead of the LP to be exact. Erick is back to share the now sixth teaser with “2-3 Zone.”

On almost all of the samplers, Erick has brought on some incredible guests to add extra hype. Joey Bada$$, WESTSIDE BOOGIE, and George Clinton are just a few to name. For “2-3 Zone” though, the Flatbush Zombies member might have just recruited the biggest one of them all. James Blake is the credited producer for the last single.

Listen To “2-3 Zone” By Erick The Architect & James Blake

Believe it or not, this is the second time we have seen both artists on one production. The first effort with James and Erick came all the way back in 2020 for “I Keep Calling.” It was a track for the frequent hip-hop crossover specialist’s four track EP. Erick was in the production seat for that one, so this is a bit of a role reversal moment. Erick brings perhaps his stickiest melody to “2-3 Zone” and it looks like it could be the best in a plethora of standout tracks.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “2-3 Zone,” by Erick the Architect and James Blake? Is this the best single from I’ve Never Been Here Before, why or why not? Does this have a chance to be an album of the year candidate? Is Erick the best Flatbush Zombies member? Do you need to hear more from these two? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Quotable Lyrics:

Me and James like the Wonder Twins
Hit the stage with the gun in hip

Always put on my mans

Normani’s Long-Awaited Debut Album Receives Artwork & Title, But Still No Official Release Date

In 2016, Fifth Harmony lost one of its key members Camila Cabello. She went on to pursue her solo career and it has continued to be a successful one. Even though the girl group was down to four, they were able to chug along for about another two years. It would be in March of 2018 that they decided to all move on as solo acts, including Normani. Ever since then, she has been teasing her first project. But, that was all she did. No cover art, tracklist, or release date was ever given for five long years. That finally all changes today as Normani has just handed out some of the details of her debut album.

This comes amid some accusations made by critics that she was running her own fan account on social media. However, it has been debunked, as her team is handling all of that. Normani cleaned out her Instagram, making room to show off her debut album cover art and title. It is titled Dopamine, and it features her wearing a skimpy, matching, black leather lingerie set while sitting on a blacked-out rocket ship.

In addition, Uproxx went ahead and checked out the link in Normani’s bio for more information on the LP. Ironically branded as wheresthedamnalbum.com, when you click on that link it will bring you to a pre-save link for Spotify and Apple Music. To the right is a ever-changing release date, so there is still no official word on that. But at least we have some of the goods. Hopefully, Normani and RCA get a date shortly after seeing all of this exciting news unfold.

What are your thoughts on Normani finally revealing the album artwork and title? Is she waiting too long, or are you still excited about her debut? Who do you want to see featured on the LP and why? What do you speculate the release date will be? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Travis Scott Hypes Up His Next Album: “I Gotta Kick Into A New Gear They Think It’s Play Time”

Travis Scott’s new album UTOPIA had fans juiced to hear him again after a near five-year hiatus. All that time amounted to him experimenting with his signature psychedelic sound to many rave reviews from fans and a fair number of critics. He went on to sell hundreds of thousands of copies, merch, and put on a successful Circus Maximus Tour without any hitches. Songs like ” I KNOW ?,” “FE!N,” “TELEKINESIS,” and others are still burning for fans about seven months later. However, after all those incredible accomplishments, it still was not enough for Travis to nab his first GRAMMY award. UTOPIA would go on to lose Best Rap Album to Killer Mike’s MICHAEL in a crushing but respectable fashion.

Even before that source of motivation to bring something even better, Travis had already begun working on new music. During his stops across the U.S., the Houston multi-hyphenate shared photos of him recording backstage. “B4 every show,” “Boston im trynna record back here,” and “R u in my brain or what ????” Those were the few indications we got from him about a new album in the works.

Travis Scott Is Hungry To Get Back At It

Now, we have more coming from La Flame by way of IG Stories. Just hours ago, Scott said, “I love music so f*****g much. And for the record. We will [be] backkkkkk. I gotta kick [into] a new gear since they think it’s play time.” He also added, “Whole cactus gang are snappers.” Could this be a hint at a JACKBOYS 2 tape? Trav did follow up the latter of messages with him vibing to “You” off Don Toliver’s Life of a DON. That is as much as we know right now, but hopefully we get that exciting confirmation of a new LP for this year sometime soon.

What are your thoughts on Travis Scott’s Instagram Story teasing his next album? Do you think he will drop it this year? What tape would you want first and why? Is UTOPIA still in your rotation and if so which tracks? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. ScHoolboy Q At Peace On “Cooties” & “Love Birds” With Devin Malik & Lance Skiiiwalker

It hard to believe we only have 10 more days until ScHoolboy Q drops what looks to be an album of the year contender, BLUE LIPS. If you have not been paying attention, the rollout for this album has been nothing short of incredible. From the album artwork to the trailers, the merchandise, and of course, the music, he really has fans on the edge of their seats. Now, ScHoolboy Q is back with another two pack of “Cooties” and “Love Birds.”

These are now the fourth and fifth songs to be released ahead of the LP. Now, for three consecutive weeks, ScHoolBoy has impressed us with the material. “Blueslides” and “Back n Love” were different sonically but offered a lot of great writing and production. Then, last week, “Yeern 101” took us back to the Oxymoron days where he was dropping head-knocking trap bangers. His blistering flows complemented the up-tempo beat from Cardo to a tee.

Listen To “Cooties” & “Love Birds” Featuring Devin Malik & Lance Skiiiwalker By ScHoolboy Q

This leads us to “Cooties” and “Love Birds.” Both are more vibey and have more of an interlude-like feeling to them. The structures of both songs are mainly a verse and a short chorus on the first of the two. “Cooties” is exclusively handled by Q both rapping and producing wise. He seems at peace on this one. The Cali artist talks about how his kids are finding meaningful interests and how much he has succeeded after removing himself from the people who were bad for him. On “Love Birds,” Q takes a back seat to the singing talents of frequent collaborator Lance Skiiiwalker, while Devin Malik once again takes the reigns on the beat. This one is more about the challenges in relationships with women.

What are your thoughts on these brand-new singles, “Cooties” and “Love Birds,” by ScHoolboy Q, Devin Malik, and Lance Skiiiwalker? Are these the stronger releases compared to the rest of the BLUE LIPS teasers, why or why not? Is this going to be the best TDE album release of 2024? Do you think he should stop dropping songs with the album only about a week and half away? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding ScHoolboy Q and BLUE LIPS. Finally, stay with us for the most informative song posts throughout the week.

Yelawolf Is Hungry As Ever On New Lead Single “Everything”

Yelawolf calls out everyone for saying he is underrated on the opening line of his newest single “Everything.” While he does he appreciate it, stuff like this encourages him to be even better. “I hear people, from time to time, tell me that I’m underrated or under-appreciated / And, to a certain extent, that’s flattery and endearing / But I also use it as a source of inspiration to keep, keep f****n’ y’all up / B****.”

This seems to be the type of energy he will be on for his upcoming album. Yelawolf has been dropping quite a few tracks on YouTube as of late. However, “Everything” is the first of his recent drops to land on streaming. On this track he is going back to his more rap-focused roots.

The Alabama native loves to mix rock/country with hip-hop, but this one does not really have any of that. For War Story, his forthcoming LP it will be a double project. The two sides, Michael Wayne and Trunk Muzik 4ever, will be differently thematically. According to Genius, the first half will be a more personal version of Yelawolf and the second half will be more bangers it sounds like. There is not a release date other than it being prepped for a 2024 drop.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Everything,” by Yelawolf? Is this one of his better tracks in recent memory? Does this get you excited for his upcoming album War Story? Who would you want to hear on this album and why? Does this have a chance to be his strongest effort ever? Vince Staples Previews ScHoolboy Q’s New Album With High Praise

Vince Staples’ praise means a lot, as he’s defined himself as a compelling and intelligent voice on music, entertainment, culture, sports, and so much more. Still, many fans see him as a rapper at heart, and they love to hear him collaborate with his fellow creatives. Moreover, the Long Beach native answered a question about whether or not he’d appear on ScHoolboy Q’s upcoming album Blue Lips. While it seems like it won’t be the case, he did give his West Coast partner high acclaim. “No but I heard it and hit several dance moves it’s his best yet,” the 30-year-old replied.

Furthermore, Vince Staples and ScHoolboy Q go way back. They toured together with Isaiah Rashad a decade ago and collaborated on Q’s 2016 album Blank Face on the track “Ride Out,” plus Traffic’s 2017 cut “All Blue Everything.” Back in 2014, Vince spoke to DJ Vlad on how the “Yeern 101” MC touches on important issues that music can sometimes miss. “The sincerity in ScHoolboy’s music, to me, just comes from the actuality of the situation,” he shared. “A lot of my family is from the hood or whatever, so a lot of my people, they still on that s**t. And you need s**t like Chief Keef, but that s**t really be making n***as wanna go kill n***as, for real. But then you need s**t like ScHoolboy that’s really gonna have motherf***ers really trying to better they self in life.”

Vince Staples Can’t Wait For The World To Hear ScHoolboy Q’s Blue Lips

Q will tell you if he likes something, if he didn’t like something,” Vince Staples told us of ScHoolboy Q during a 2022 interview. “He’s not very wordy so he’s like, ‘It’s cool.’ He liked it. So, that’s always a good thing to hear. I go to Q kind of to hear what he doesn’t like more than what he does, and he didn’t seem to have many complaints, so I was happy about that.”

Meanwhile, even though the Prima Donna lyricist won’t appear on this LP, the TDE mainstay did excitedly gas up another guest appearance on the album recently. Apparently, Freddie Gibbs “low-key washed” him with his feature on the project, which is very exciting to hear considering how great they both tend to be on the mic. With all this hype in mind, it looks like Blue Lips is going to be fireworks. For more news and the latest updates on Vince Staples and ScHoolboy Q, check back in with HNHH.

Tierra Whack Drops Somber “27 CLUB” Ahead Of Her Debut Album

Tierra Whack is one of the most bubbly and entertaining voices in hip-hop period. Her style and approach to the creation of music is truly one of a kind. It is part of the reason why fans are so pumped for her to finally drop her first true album. She does have Whack World from 2018. However, almost every single track was at demo length and it came across as more of an EP.

Listeners can expect WORLD WIDE WHACK on March 15 and there are two songs that have spawned ahead of and during the rollout. 2023’s “Chanel Pit” is one that may or may not land on it, but Genius says otherwise. “SHOWER SONG” is a definite for the tracklist. While it is a simple song at its core, it still embraces Tierra Whack’s uniqueness.

Listen To “27 CLUB” By Tierra Whack

It is a song literally about why she loves to shower. It is a total far cry from what “27 CLUB” is all about. Tierra shows off her range both emotionally and vocally. The soft and twinkly production, along with the drum patterns that reappear every once in a while, set the tone for the theme. It is a sad and lonely cut about ending it all yourself. Like we said, totally different than the happy-go-lucky attitude of “SHOWER SONG.”

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “27 Club,” by Tierra Whack? Is this the best song from the upcoming album WORLD WIDE WHACK? Conway The Machine & Joey Bada$$ Go The Distance On “Vertino”

It seems like Conway the Machine always has a new track, EP, or album out every Friday. To some that can be very annoying. The reason why is because his voice and messages in his songs can get stale very quick. However, the Buffalo native always finds a way to keep things interesting even with the frequent release pace. That can be said about Conway the Machine’s brand-new single “Vertino.”

He grabs Joey Bada$$ for this one and both sound great over this dark boom-bap instrumental. The beat is not anything we have not heard Conway on before. But, it just sounds good. Especially at the very end when the grimy guitar loop rolls in. Both New Yorkers rap extensive verses while Joey handles the chorus.

This is the second single that will eventually be on Conway’s upcoming project WON’T HE DO IT: Side B. Of course, this is a sequel of sorts to one of his many 2023 releases, WON’T HE DO IT. We got our first taste of it a couple of weeks ago with the song “Give & Give” with production credits from Cool & Dre. That was paired with another track “Mutty,” in a two for one situation.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Vertino,” by Conway the Machine and Joey Bada$$? Does this song get you excited for Conway’s upcoming record WON’T HE DO IT: Side B, why or why not? Is this the better of the two tracks to be on the project? Kid Reveals New LP “INSANO (NITRO MEGA),” Confirms It Is Separate From Its Predecessor

Nearly one month ago to the day, Cleveland multi-talent Kid Cudi put out his long-awaited album INSANO. It saw the legend go full trap/rage rap and it did not land for everyone. Cudi even got into a little bit of a debate with a popular music reviewer on X about his opinion on the record. Additionally, his fan base also tagged in him in the less than favorable 4.6 score from Pitchfork. To that he simply told them to not waste their time with reviews and digest it organically because the “the music is forever.” Even though it was not a smashing success for him, the deluxe is still waiting in the wings. However, Kid Cudi’s INSANO (NITRO MEGA), is not what it seems.

About two weeks ago Scott Mescudi gave us a vague update on fans assumed was going to be a expanded version of INSANO. He said it is a “whole other album.” That flew over everyone’s heads because he was telling us just that. The 18 songs are an entirely different LP; a sequel you could say. Kid Cudi announced INSANO (NITRO MEGA) on X according to HipHopDX and it will drop on February 23.

Kid Cudi Was Telling Us All Along That INSANO (NITRO MEGA) Was Unique

In the second tweet above, a fan had his suspicions confirmed that it would be a different listening experience. “Bingo. This is not a deluxe. It will be a continuation of the energy but isnt a deluxe, its another album called INSANO (NITRO MEGA) 😉,” Cudi said. Currently, there are no updates on the song titles or features just yet. So, be sure to stick with us for all of those upcoming details.

What are your thoughts on Kid Cudi’s announcement and further details about INSANO (NITRO MEGA)? Is this going to be better than the original record, why or why not? What are your opinions on INSANO and why? Who would you like to see on (NITRO MEGA)? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section.
