SZA Performs An Unreleased Song During Her Apple Music Live

SZA’s collaboration with Apple Music has made for headline news all week. It started when she did a Q&A where she answered numerous questions from her fans. One particular question got quite a bit of attention. The fan posed a question about whether or not she was working on a collab with pop-punk band Paramore. She made a song on her album SOS called “F2F” which saw her embracing a pop-punk style and fans have been begging for more. That’s why they were so excited when she said “yes” when asked if she’s got a song coming up with the “Ain’t It Fun” rockers.

But it was an entirely different unreleased song making waves today. That’s because she gave fans a treat during the actual live performance part of her Apple Music collab. It starts as a slower ballad-type song before erupting with excess instrumentation similar to “Gone Girl.” The song has fans online buzzing about the fact that she’s working on new music. Many are still looking forward to LANA, the deluxe version of her album SOS. Check out the video of her performing the new song below.

SZA Unpacks An Unreleased Song

SZA first started teasing LANA last year when she confirmed the name of the project. But after the initial announcement news started to slow down. At least until earlier this week when she popped up for a surprise performance. She joined Isaiah Rashad on stage for a duet during his Cilvia Demo 10th anniversary show.

During the show, they passed out flyers making a major announcement for the entire Top Dawg Entertainment label. They confirmed that nearly every single artist on their roster and even some currently un-confirmed new artists will be releasing new projects this year. What do you think of the new unreleased song SZA played during her Apple Music Live show? Do you think LANA will be coming out anytime soon? Let us know in the comment section below.

Kendrick Lamar’s Unreleased “Tranquilizer” Used To Soundtrack Fashion Show

Paris Fashion Week is going on and it’s crossed over into hip-hop quite a bit. The biggest moment was likely Pharrell’s newest Louis Vuitton show. He previewed an unreleased song with Miley Cyrus and even used Pusha T as one of his runway models. Another surprising moment came when Quavo and Chris Brown were seated next to each other at one of the shows. It re-ignited a beef between the two when Brown took to Instagram to clarify that he didn’t get to choose his seat and still wasn’t a fan of the Migos rapper.

But speaking of unreleased cuts being played during runway shows, there is even more where that came from. A Kendrick Lamar song that originally leaked last year shocked fans when it made its way into a recent runway show. The track is called “Tranquilizer” and it’s never been officially released. Fans speculate that it’s the original version of what would come to be “United In Grief” from Kendrick’s album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. Others have speculated that it could be even earlier than that with some saying it sounds more in line with his 2017 album DAMN. Check out the clip of the Chanel show where the song was played below.

Unreleased Kendrick Lamar Song Soundtracks Runway Show

Fans hoping that the song being played means it’s destined for an official release might not want to hold their breath. Numerous high-profile artists have used fashion shows as unique opportunities to show off unreleased or unfinished material. Last year, FKA Twigs debuted a new song during a fashion show that is yet to be released. Though she has been teasing a new electronic-focused album where it could ultimately appear.

Yasiin Bey also performed a currently unreleased song that left him in hot water during a show last week. What do you think of Kendrick Lamar’s unreleased song “Tranquilizer” popping up during a Chanel runway show? Do you think he should release an official version of the song? Let us know in the comment section below.

Drake Asks SZA To Release “Joni”

Drake has asked SZA to drop her unreleased track “Joni”. Drizzy posted a picture of SZA’s published snippet on Soundcloud to his Instagram. “My [goat emoji], pls drop this,” Drake added to the image. The song, first teased in 2020 during a Rolling Stone interview, has been partially released as a minute-long snippet online. The trap beat is written from the perspective of Joni Mitchell, the iconic folk musician. It’s unclear whether Drake’s endorsement will see the song finally come to light.

Meanwhile, SZA is at the top of her music game right now. As 2023 ended, “Snooze”, from her 2022 album SOS, was the only single to spend appear on every Billboard Hot 100 chart of the year. “I’m so grateful to everyone in this comment section that streamed and supported me!! GOD BLESS YOU! Thank you so much,” SZA wrote in response to the news.

Drake Tried To Mediate DJ Akademiks’ Beef With SZA

Meanwhile, last year, DJ Akademiks revealed that Drake tried to mediate his beef with SZA. “It was a very polite call. But, you know, they are very close friends and they were doing the album at the time. He wanted to see if there was any middle ground that could be reached. But I just told that it was an axe I needed to grind from a couple years back. I just needed to pop off, I got no issue with her. I love her and I actually went back on my platform and I said that listen, I was sending nothing but love and light,” Akademiks told DJ Vlad.

SZA has been targeted a couple of times by the outspoken DJ, most recently in August of this year. Ak received heavy backlash after fat-shaming SZA on his massive social platform. “Let me keep it a bean, SZA is as fat as me. That’s 100 percent facts. This is why when b-tches call me fat, I be laughing. You wh-res are fat, just like me. […] You suck that fat out of [your chin] and put it into your a– and your a– be looking lopsided. Your belly button be looking weird because they move that b-tch around, it’s like tic-tac-toe,” Ak said in the heavily criticized rant.

Kai Cenat Claims Lil Uzi Vert Played Him Unreleased Song, Must Hear It Again

During one of his recent streams, Kai Cenat revealed that he had the opportunity to hear some unreleased Lil Uzi Vert music during a FaceTime, and begged the hitmaker to send the full track his way. In a clip from the stream, Cenat explains that he heard the aforementioned banger two or three months back when Uzi called him from the studio. From the looks of things, he hasn’t been able to get his mind off of it since.

“One time I was on the phone with Uzi,” he begins. “He called me in the studio, he played one of the songs that I think is gonna be on Luv Is Rage 3. That sh*t, Uzi if you see this, send me it bro. I need that song, bro. Whatever thing that you leaked with me on FaceTime. Bro, send it to me. It was like two, three months ago.”

Kai Cenat Begs Lil Uzi Vert To Send Him The Track

Clearly, Cenat can’t wait to get his hands on the full version, and fans can’t blame him. Uzi just recently surprised fans with a new single and accompanying music video, “Red Moon,” giving them a taste of what’s to come. So far, they haven’t been disappointed. Listeners assumed that the drop kicked off the rollout of Luv Is Rage 3, which doesn’t have an official release date but is expected to arrive in 2024.

For obvious reasons, Cenat’s eagerness to hear the unnamed track again has only built more anticipation for the release. If it’s anything like Pink Tape or their other recent work, it’s sure to be a success. What do you think of Kai Cenat claiming that he heard unreleased Lil Uzi Vert music during his stream? Sexyy Red Is Shouting “F*** My Baby Dad” All Over A New Unreleased Song

Sexyy Red is a rapper who will always be producing something raunchy, wild, and exciting. While she is not everyone’s cup of tea, the crazy energy she pours into her music is something to respect. However, as she has gotten more and more popular, especially at the rate she has, a lot of eyeballs are watching. Just yesterday, it was reported that she had some choice words for a ballet instructor. The teacher went viral on TikTok for voicing her frustrations about her students who have been blatantly disrespecting her. The 22-year-old also called out Sexyy Red for her poor influence on the five-year-old kids.

The St. Louis rapper told her f*** off, essentially and urged her to continue to play her music. It was not the best look for someone who clearly has an impression on a lot of the younger generation of girls. However, it does not seem she will change her ways, especially after how this type of music got her to where she is now. To her credit, though, Red did appear to have some sympathy saying she would be open to making Kidz Bop-like songs. That might need to be on the backburner for now because she has a deluxe album on the way soon.

Nicki Minaj Furious After Finding Out Unreleased “Bahm Bahm” Made Its Way To Streaming

Nicki Minaj is about one week away from dropping her eagerly-awaited album, Pink Friday 2. Fans are clamoring for it and, hopefully, there will not be another delay in the release. The Queen of Rap has been teasing the follow-up for months upon months. Even though there have been changes made by the New York-raised rapper, things seem to be going according to plan for her. But, maybe, for the first time, she has encountered a little bit of a bump in the road. Just a little over a month ago, Nicki put out a track titled “Bahm Bahm.”

Many were hoping it would land on the album, but she just wanted to get something out. However, she never intended to put it on streaming platforms. So, she kept it on her official website only. The Barbz were also pleading for it to be put out on readily available services, but it is not going to happen. Unless someone gets out illegally. Unfortunately, for Nicki, that is exactly what happened. According to AllHipHop, she found out about through her extremely supportive fanbase.

That would’ve been at least an extra 6 to 7 dollars & like 48 cents added to my real account b!ch.” The song was just not released, it actually performed well. In fact, it got as high as number 14 on Apple Music’s top Hip-Hop and Rap Songs chart.

Lupe Fiasco’s Unreleased “Out There” From “Food & Liquor” Makes Its Way To Streaming

One of the top-tier, yet underrated lyricists of the mid-2000s, Lupe Fiasco, is giving fans a little nostalgia with this single. However, it is not released under his streaming accounts, nor is it totally a single. It is actually under the profile, Chill’s Spotlight. It has been around for about four years and it releases some underground tracks that have not seen the light of day. There are quite a few Lupe cuts from this account and one of them is “Out There.”

The die-hard fans of his will know that this was originally going to land on his debut album, Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor. According to HipHop-N-More, it was first called “Real Recognize Real (Pills),” but it was replaced. It did make it on to the leaked version, though. Somehow, someway, Chill’s was able to dig it out of the archives and give it the shine it never got.

Chief Keef Unveils His Would-Be Verse On Drake’s “For All The Dogs,” Fans Blast It

There were plenty of big and maybe unexpected features on Drake’s hyped album, For All The Dogs. There were multiple appearances from Teezo Touchdown and SZA. Sexyy Red delivered her raunchy and unfiltered verse on “Rich Baby Daddy.” PARTYNEXTDOOR, while a frequent collaborator with Drizzy, has been reluctant to put out new material and features, but he joined his close friend for the massive project. J. Cole hopped on a track with him for the first time in 10 years. These were all fairly surprising, but Chief Keef has to be another name to include here.

You can find him on track 16 “All The Parties” and while it is a brief showing, it has still been a big deal. Chief Keef is highly respected in the hip-hop space and Drake knew that he had to grab him for this project. Keef just delivers a short chorus and he never gets repeated again. But, recently, the Chicago rapper revealed to fans that there was supposed to be a verse from him.

DJ Akademiks reposted the audio clip and needlessly said, fans are not digging it. The caption on the video reads a short bar from Keef. “She laughed her draws off I tickled the b****.” Fans did not hold back, with one saying, “He’s overrated asf but he’s so well respected in rap that nobody admits it.” Another chimes in, “Yea keep that.” While a fair amount are not feeling it, it would be interesting to see if the song will suffer from fewer streams because of the shorter inclusion of Chief Keef in the final edition.

What are your initial thoughts on this unreleased version of “All The Parties” from Drake and Chief Keef? Do you think Drake should have included this verse in the final version? Or, do you agree with the fans takes that it was good that it did not make it? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Meek Mill Previews An Unreleased Fabolous Verse

Philadelphia-based rapper Meek Mill went onto social media recently to show off an unreleased verse from Fabolous. He puts Fabolous’ Instagram handle on the video, which shows a breakfast table with a half-full glass of orange juice. In the background, the verse is going off, with the Brooklyn rapper spitting his flow as Meek Mill bops the phone up and down a little. “I should not be taken lightly, ima heavy topic,” reads the caption, a nod to the final line you hear in the video.

As posted on THE HIP-HOP WOLF (@thehiphopwolf), many fans have gone to the comments to offer their takes. Plenty of people are calling the verse “whack” or “weak.” One commenter was confused about why Meek Mill was recording New York stuff. Others turned to Fabolous’ verse, saying that the rapper was “falling off.” Overall, it’s wonderful that Meek and Fab are coming out with new material. Even with their lengthy careers, they’re still hitting the studio to find fresh ways to rap about the same things.

Meek Mill has been extra busy ever since he got out of prison in 2018. He released an album later that same year, Championships. In 2021, he came out with his fifth studio album, Expensive Pain, which debuted at number three on the Billboard 200. However, since then, he has broken off ties with Jay Z’s Roc Nation Entertainment and blasted Atlantic Records for low sales of his last album. He even claimed Atlantic Records got in the way of who came into the studio to record with him.

As for Fabolous, he recently teamed up with Diddy and the City Girls to produce the club banger “Act Bad.” Fab is looking to collab with more rappers than just Meek Mill. He called out Eminem as someone he’d want to rap with, calling him “Real Hip-Hop.” Time will tell if Fabolous gets into the booth with more hip-hop heavy hitters, but for now, we can enjoy a little taste of a Meek Mill-Fabolous verse. That only means good things are coming.
