Critics have complained about her being late to many dates on the tour, to which Hill responded that people are “lucky” she even makes it on stage every night. “Yo, y’all lucky I make it on this … stage every night,” she told the audience. “I leave my soul on this stage. And I don’t do it because they let me. I do it because I stand here in the name of God. And I know it. God is the one who allows me to do it, who surrounded me with family and community when there was no support when the album sold so many records and no one showed up and said, ‘Hey, would you like to make another one?’”

Dr. Phil Announces Return to TV on his Own New Cable Network

For decades, Dr. Phil was a staple in American entertainment and media before ending his long-running show earlier this year. However, today, the longtime host announced that he will not only make a return to television this winter- but he will do it on his own brand-new cable TV network.

The outspoken (and often controversial) host took to social media to announce his new venture, stating that his Dallas-based network will be called “Merit Street Media” and he will host a nightly talkshow called “Dr. Phil Primetime.”

Dr. Phil (real name: Phil McGraw) took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and shared a video teasing his new network.

While other details remain scarce, the host stated that “Dr. Phil Primetime” will debut on Monday, Feb. 26 at 8 pm EST, which will be its regularly scheduled time slot. Like his prior daytime show, his evening show will be filmed in front of a live studio audience.

The show is expected to follow a similar content format of his daytime show as well, with guests ranging from ordinary people to celebrities, politicians, and other prominent headline-making figures.

In the video, he stated that his new network will focus on what viewers want to see and encouraged his followers to give him ideas for content in the comments.

As of now, Merit Street Media’s website has limited information, but is expected to have its own original programming lineup.

Mariah Carey may be known as pop’s “Queen of Christmas,” but she also apparently knows how to get into the Halloween spirit as well, while joking about the upcoming Christmas season.

The songstress posted a jaw-dropping photo on her Instagram of her dressed as the iconic Jessica Rabbit, complete with a form-fitting red sparkly dress, long gloves, red heels, and of course….red hair. She simply captioned the photo “Happy Halloween! #notyet,” an apparent nod to the upcoming Christmas season, which has become synonymous with her 1993 hit “All I Want for Christmas is You.”

As of 2022, reports estimate that Carey makes around $3 million each year from the hit, noting that her total earnings are upwards of $60 million from sales, plays, and sponsorships.

This year, Carey will be performing a Christmas-themed tour, titled “Merry Christmas- One and All!” iThe 16-city North American tour kicks off on November 15, 2023, in Highland, California, and concludes on December 17, 2023, in New York City.

It’s been over two months since MTV and Love & Hip Hop producers made the call to fire Erica Mena for calling her co-star, Spice, a “blue monkey” during filming. When the incident unfolded in real-time, the actress claimed she didn’t receive any sort of backlash from creators. Instead, she proceeded to fulfill her work obligations as per usual. When the episode finally aired, however, Mena was blasted by many viewers, causing her to ultimately lose her job. During a new interview with Carlos King, the 35-year-old addressed the situation. She noted that she thinks it could’ve been handled in a far more professional manner.

“When it happened, I knew I f**ked up that day,” Mena recalled. “But then I was filming for months and months. I knew it was coming, but I wasn’t expecting it to be this bad,” she added, reflecting on the non-stop headlines about her in the final weeks of summer. “What’s not okay is [that] if this is as bad as the network says it is, why wasn’t I let go of a long time ago?” the New York native asked the question on many people’s minds.

Colorado Football Team’s Jewelry Reportedly Stolen from Locker Room at UCLA’s Rose Bowl

Colorado has been having quite the headline-making season this year, but over the weekend, they unfortunately traded sports’ headlines for crime ones. Several players report that jewelry and other personal items were stolen from the visitor’s locker room while the Buffs played the UCLS Bruins on Saturday.

A video originally posted to Bleacher Report shows many Colorado players shaking their heads and telling the camera that their items were stolen during the game. Many kept emphasizing during the game as if it was impossible to comprehend how such a thing could have happened. One Buffs player can be seen shaking his head and saying, “you come to play football and you know….your s*** is safe…that’s messed up bro.” Another player describes how the visiting Colorado team (which had just lost to the UCLA Bruins 28-16) came back in the locker room to change and go home only to find their items missing.

On Monday, tLisa Derderian of the city of Pasadena, issued a statement in which she stated that the department had initiated a theft investigation involving several players at the stadium. A joint statement from the police and UCLA said that UCLA was cooperating with the police in the investigation, but no further details would be shared at this time.

A statement on the Bruins’ Sports Illustrated Fan Page read as follows:

“This is obviously a terrible violation. The fact that it happened while the contest was in progress, and in a presumably-guarded locker room, is a frustrating revelation that suggests at the very least this theft was pre-meditated by whomever carried it out.

It’s incredibly frustrating not only that this happened in a game against the Bruins, but specifically that this happened at the Bruins’ home stadium.

We at All Bruins sincerely hope that the impacted Colorado players get all their stolen valuables returned to them promptly, and the parties responsible receive due punishment for their reprehensible behavior.

Rooting against a competitor on the field is one of the joys of sports fandom. But it should go without saying that that never needs to extend beyond the confines of competition. It’s appalling that this stuff happened where it did, tainting an otherwise fun occasion for UCLA appreciators.”

Colorado headed home where they will face Oregon State next weekend while UCLA will travel to Arizona.

Erica Banks Flexes New Butterfly Neck Tattoo

Erica Banks recently took to social media to show off some new ink. The 25-year-old Texas native posed for a series of selfies, flexing a black butterfly tattoo which now takes up a majority of her neck. According to her, it’s a tattoo that she’s been eyeing for some time, and she seems thrilled now that she’s finally got it. “I always wanted a neck tatt,” she wrote excitedly. “So happy!”

Fans are sounding off in the performer’s comments section, praising the eye-catching new piece. This is far from Banks’ first tattoo, however. She has a variety of tattoos on her arms, the side of her neck, her hands, and more. She even has another butterfly tattoo where her left shoulder meets her chest, which is surrounded by flowers. Ahead of the reveal, Banks took to Twitter to ask followers about their own experiences with neck tattoos, getting a gauge of where she’d be on the pain scale. “Anybody got a neck tatt? How bad did it hurt?” she wondered. Though most who weighed in let her know that the tattoo would probably hurt, it doesn’t look like it deterred her.

While the majority of commenters are loving the new piece she’s added to her collection, there are a few critics making their voices heard. Luckily, it appears as though Banks is unbothered by the hate. Houston Teen Takes Out Billboard to Invite Drake to her Sweet 16th Birthday

A 16th birthday is usually an epic event to remember- whether its a party or getting a drivers license. However, one Texas teen is hoping to make her celebration extra special, taking out a full-size billboard to invite Drake to her Sweet 16th Birthday.

Houston teen Miya Garcia took out the full billboard on Interstate 10 in Houston’s Jacinto City area with the help of her mom, Sonia Ramirez.

The flashing billboard features Garcia on one side and Drake on the other and reads: “Drake, you’re invited to my Sweet Sixteen.” It’s signed, “Your biggest fan, Miya” and includes that it will take place in December 2023 at Alexia’s Event Center in Corpus Christi, TX as well as her Instagram and TikTok handles.

Ramirez, who purchased the billboard for her daughter, told People that “she asked if we can get a billboard since he is now a Houston resident and he could possibly see the invite. She is such a positive girl and has hope that he will reach out soon.”

Drake, who recently announced that he will be taking some time off of music to focus on his health, also touched on plans to set up a secondary residence in Houston.

So far, no word if he’s sent Miya a RSVP.
