Tay-K Thanks Fans For Response To His Recent Letter

Tay-K shared a message to his fans on Twitter, Monday night, expressing his gratitude for the positive response to his recent public letter. In the letter, the rapper reflected on his incarceration at such a young age. The rapper, best known for his hit song “The Race,” is currently behind bars serving a sentence of 55 years to life.

“Just heard about the response to my letter. I’m forever indebted to my fans for going so crazy on my behalf #freetayk,” Tay-K wrote. “It means a lot especially in this situation, we not letting these fake ass stories fly, we gonna get the truth out.”

Tay-K’s Appreciative Post

As for his actual letter, Tay-K began by stating his love for his fans. He also noted that he’s been in prison for over five years by this point. He continued: “It’s still crazy to me that I never had a chance to live outside as an adult. I’ve been locked up and in and out of the ‘justice’ and CPS system 4 my whole life. Not sure if y’all know but I got sentenced as an adult to 55 years in prison for a crime where I wasn’t even the shooter. I wasn’t even alleged to have a gun. I was never even suspected to have pulled a trigger or hurt anyone.”

He further argued: “I was young and didn’t have no positive figures around. Now that I’m older I know how important focusing on leading by example is. I love my fans and I don’t want any1 to think I’m promoting or really recommending violence. That’s why I really dedicate a lot of my time in here to using the success of my music to have a positive impact on other young artist, even if it’s something small like taking a phone call or writing a letter to keep them positively inspired. Regardless of my situation the movement is eternal.” Tay-K’s sentence stems from the murder of a 21-year-old man in 2016. Tay-K was just a teenager at the time. He previously shared a plea for a “second chance at adulthood,” earlier this year.

The Game & Akon Slam Elon Musk Over Twitter Blue Verification

Twitter’s future looks grim after Elon Musk took over the platform. He’s implemented changes that have impacted the Twitter community at large. The check mark became a point of contention as Twitter implements its new Blue subscription. Already, they’ve removed the New York Times’ checkmark for refusing to pay for the service, among other news outlets. However, members of the hip-hop community have also expressed their frustrations, including The Game and Akon, who later claimed he was hacked.

“Back in the day, Twitter was begging musicians to stay on cause they didn’t have traffic. They came up with a verification process to protect accounts from fakes ones, now @elonmusk is taking that away and forcing us to pay,” a since-deleted tweet from Akon’s account read. “FYI, I ain’t paying shit for something we helped build.” The “Lonely” artist later claimed he had been hacked. “This tweet didn’t come from me. Whom ever hacked my account, Please keep your personal opinions away from my profile respectfully,” he wrote.

Akon Claims He Was Hacked

The Game feels similar to Akon when it comes to the subscription service on Twitter. He didn’t take his frustrations out on Elon Musk, specifically, but rather on those who choose to pay monthly to keep their checkmark. As Instagram unrolls Meta Verified, which similarly provides users with a verification checkmark for a monthly fee, the Compton rapper explained why he doesn’t respect it. “If you bought your verification & I know you personally… delete my #. It tells me everything I need to know about you,” he wrote. In a subsequent post, he elaborated further writing, “You a broke cheater, we not the same.”

Elon Musk introduced Twitter Blue as a way to monetize the platform following his $44B acquisition. However, the decision’s been under scrutiny as the verified check mark helped users decipher real accounts from fake ones. Over the weekend, LeBron James said that he wouldn’t pay a fee to keep his blue checkmark on his account. “Welp guess my blue ✔ will be gone soon cause if you know me I ain’t paying the 5,” he tweeted.

Jake Paul Goes Scorched Earth On KSI Over Recent Controversy

Jake Paul and KSI have been in a longstanding feud. Overall, both of these men are YouTube stars who have entered the boxing world. KSI has fought twice against Logan Paul, with one draw and one victory. Additionally, Paul is a superstar at this point, although he did lose his last fight against Tommy Fury. At this point, there are all sorts of rumblings that they might get to fight each other. Both of these men have been going back and forth on social media over the last few months, however, there is still no fight in sight.

Recently, KSI found himself at the center of a controversy. While appearing in a Sidemen video on YouTube, KSI ended up using a racial slur that is used against South Asian people. Subsequently, KSI took to social media where he apologized for what went down. Despite the apology, Jake Paul jumped on the opportunity to kick KSI while he was down. In the tweet down below, you can see that Paul went off on the YouTuber. He urged his rival to be better and to start thinking about charities he can donate to.

Jake Paul Speaks

“Fake guy with fake apologies every other week,” Paul wrote. “I hope you take this more serious than taking a break off social media so you can focus on training and then reappearing two weeks before your fight saying you’re a new man. Meet with British South Asian community leaders, get with the right charities and give back. I made my own mistakes in my early 20s but we are too old for this behavior. I look forward to knocking you the fuck out on behalf of all South Asians around the world. You 30 year old prick.”

At this point, Jake Paul is clearly trying to play dirty. Using a rival’s controversy to his advantage isn’t exactly the definition of “class.” However, this is one of the reasons why Paul is able to sell fights. He knows how to build tension, and it is something that promoters love. Let us know whether or not you think these two will ever get in the ring, in the comments down below. Shaq Responds To Uninformed Keith Olbermann Tweet

Shaq was swift to respond to Keith Olbermann’s uncalled-for tweet on Angel Reese’s Final Four celebration. Olbermann took to Twitter to call out Reese for making the “You Can’t See Me.” celebration on Caitlin Clark. The former ESPN broadcaster went as far as to call Reese a “f- idiot.” Many among the Twitter world were quick to defend Reese. From LeBron James to even Samuel L. Jackson. Although there were some great responses, Shaq takes the crown for the best response.

Shaq’s response was short, sweet, and to the point. “shut your dumb ass up leave angel reese alone,” the legendary big man stated in a response to Olbermann. Olbermann has since backpedaled on his stance with Reece’s celebration. He mentioned he was uninformed on the matter. The veteran broadcaster said, “I don’t follow hoops, college or pro, men or women. I had no idea about Clark. Both were wrong.” This begs the question, why even speak on the matter in the first place?

Shaq, Among Others, Giving Angel Reese Her Roses

It’s unfortunate that this is even a story. Sunday afternoon, the LSU Tigers Women’s Basketball team proved they were the cream of the crop. The Tigers annihilated a hot Iowa Hawkeyes team to earn the title of champion. The story that needs to be told is that Angel Reese won the 2023 Final Four MVP. She talked her talk and then backed it up. Clark, who has been known for her trash talk, was receiving what she normally dishes out. If anything, the celebration by Reese was an emotional reaction to defeating such an amazing team in Iowa.

The Women’s Final Four was a perfect representation of Women’s sports. The product had more eyes watching this weekend than maybe in its history. Women’s sports are on the rise in the United States. It should be no surprise, considering the product that was on the floor over the past few weeks. While tonight will close out the Men’s post-season tournament, the Women are still in the spotlight. An incredible testament to the young women who shared the floor this weekend. For the latest news in the sports world, stay here with us at HNHH.

Kid Cudi Teases Wiz Khalifa Collab

Seems like this year’s 4/20 might be shaping up to be a big one. Kid Cudi recently jumped on Twitter to tease a potential collab with Wiz Khalifa. The 39-year-old rapper has previously collaborated with many of the biggest names in the industry. He has lent his singular artistry to Ye and Travis Scott, among many others. A Cudi and Wiz collab has been teased before, but it has never come to fruition. Whether or not something will come of the tease this time remains to be seen. However, many fans would love to see the two rappers on a track together.

Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, better known by his stage name Kid Cudi, is a rapper and actor from Cleveland, Ohio. The overwhelming success of his 2008 single, “Day ‘n’ Nite,” was the catalyst for his rise to fame. The song was featured on his debut album, Man On the Moon: The End of the Day, and has gone 5x platinum. Since then, he has released six studio albums, many of which explore topics related to mental health. He has also made a number of noteworthy appearances in film and TV, including in Ti West’s hit horror film X and the HBO series How to Make It in America. Cudi’s distinctive style and reflective songs have brought him critical praise and a devoted following.

Cudi Plays It Close To The Chest

Yesterday, Cudi tweeted something that immediately had fans buzzing. “Got in contact w Wiz,” the tweet said, followed by a smiling devil emoji. The news is big, if true, but we’ve been burned before. In 2018, Wiz posed for a photo with Cudi, which was posted on his Instagram account. In the caption, he wrote, “DONT WORRY IM WAITING FOR THE MUSIC TOO.” Now, that may have just been Wiz’s way of saying that he is interested in working with Cudi. However, with this latest tweet, the possibility of a collab seems more and more likely.

Fans went off in the comments, showing their excitement for what one user described as the “stoner anthem”. Everyone knows that Wiz Khalifa is basically the poster boy for weed. While Kid Cudi did frequently reference it in his past music, he has since said that he no longer smokes weed. Still, it’s likely that regardless of the subject matter, whatever these two come up with will serve as an anthem for weed smokers everywhere. What do you think about the possible collab? Sound off in the comments below!

Elon Musk Singles Out The New York Times By Taking Their Verification Away

Elon Musk is someone who is known for being a bit sensitive online. Overall, his entire crusade to buy Twitter has felt like a way to increase his popularity. However, it has ultimately done the opposite. From his cringy boomer memes to his painstaking desire to be taken seriously, Elon has overstayed his internet welcome. Moreover, it does not help at all that he has ruined the platform with some of his policies. One of those policies involves the verification badge that has allowed public figures to stand out from impersonators or parody accounts.

Now, anyone can be verified. This means I can go on Twitter, name myself “Elon Musk” and get myself verified. Subsequently, I could dupe various people into thinking I’m the Tesla billionaire. It’s all very ridiculous and many celebrities like LeBron James have stated that they refuse to pay for the service. This is significant as April 1st marked the day in which Elon promised to strip people of their legacy verification badges. Although Musk is giving some accounts a grace period, there is one organization that he is singling out.

Elon Musk Speaks

Of course, we are talking about none other than the New York Times. Elon Musk hates the newspaper, and on Sunday, he went off on them and their journalistic practices. “Also, their feed is the Twitter equivalent of diarrhea,” Musk wrote. “It’s unreadable. They would have far more real followers if they only posted their top articles. Same applies to all publications.” These comments were made after the media company made it clear that they would not pay for verification. If you want the golden verification that is reserved or big organizations, you have to pay $1,000 per month. For many, this is just a wild cash grab and is not worth it.

Of course, there are thousands of people out there who are siding with Elon, clapping up a storm over his latest decision. At this point, though, it is hard to see this as anything other than a temper tantrum. Let us know what you think of Elon Musk and his management of Twitter, in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news from the tech world.

Nicki Minaj Remixes Ice Spice “Princess Diana” Lyrics On Twitter

With every new online interaction, it seems clearer and clearer that Nicki Minaj is hopping on a remix of Ice Spice’s “Princess Diana.” Moreover, the Queen just tweeted a remixed version of Spice’s lyrics from the song, which fans are blown away by already. “Like GRAH, keep it a stack,” she began, referencing the track’s main hook melody and phrase. “B!tches is a** if we keepin it crakk,” she concluded, and it probably took a while for many to realize that those aren’t the lyrics in the original. As such, many hoped for an official guest verse to come sooner rather than later.

Of course, it wouldn’t be the first time that Nicki impressed fans with her bars, whether it’s minutes or years after she releases them. The same happened in the case of her recent single “Red Ruby Da Sleeze,” which fans received quite well amid a lot of hype. Still, many of her recent actions and public moves also tied to beef and disputes with other rappers. Despite that, the New York MC is still garnering most acclaim and respect on fans online for her artistry.

Nicki Minaj Might Remix Ice Spice’s “Princess Diana” Soon

Meanwhile, the “Munch” hitmaker has long been a fan of Nicki Minaj, so this certainly marks a big moment for her. Furthermore, she actually pretended that she followed her before blowing up, just to practice for the big day. That day eventually came, and it was packaged with another co-sign in the form on an Instagram comment on Ice Spice’s post. “Btchs slow so I gih dem a pass. Nah. Grah! No more passes Princess…Let’s go,” she commented some time ago. What’s more is that it didn’t stop there, and the 23-year-old responded to the love.

Ya heard da QUEEN,” Spice responded to another of Nicki’s comments, which read, “Gag. The People’s PRINCESS. catch it!!!” With all this back and forth, fans wonder how their remix track will (hopefully) manifest as far as promo. Social media already has all eyes on their interactions, whereas visuals certainly bolstered each of their big singles. Considering that, log back into HNHH for the latest on Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj.

Offset Blasts Quality Control Music On Twitter

Offset just set off a bomb on Twitter by confirming his label issues with Quality Control and his inability to drop music. Moreover, he took to Twitter on Saturday (April 1) and let off a few tweets seemingly aimed at the label, though hopefully it’s a poorly-timed April Fool’s. “Never thought life be this f***ed up #LLTake,” the Georgia rapper tweeted, adding a rocket emoji. “I can’t drop music also.” In a separate tweet, he wrote, “Black ppl holding black ppl back.” Furthermore, many in the comments expressed support for ‘Set, not only amid his label issues but given his grief.

What’s more is that this follows reports of details concerning the Migos MC’s lawsuit against his record higher-ups. “Offset now brings this action to vindicate his rights and make it clear to the world that Offset, not Quality Control, owns Offset’s music,” the suit stated. Around 2021, he “came to understand the full ramification of the deal that he entered into,” according to the lawsuit, and fought with the label over who owned his work. It seems like he sold his previous music but got out of his contract, yet QCM still tried to claim rights for his song “54321.”

Offset Expresses Frustration On Social Media Amid Label Drama

However, this is still a murky situation, especially given the record company’s stance on it. “The label claimed it had an agreement with Capitol Records that required Capitol to assign all of Capitol’s rights in sound recordings obtained by Quality Control’s ‘Accepted Artist’ that it had furnished to Capitol back to Quality Control,” a RadarOnline report read. Still, the 31-year-old’s lawyer maintained a different perspective.

“Quality Control no longer owns the copyright to Offset’s solo sound recordings and is no longer licensing Offset’s solo sound recordings to Capitol, and Capitol has acquired ownership of Offset’s solo sound recordings directly from Offset,” they expressed. With all this in mind, Offset’s solo future remains in the balance musically, but there’s no doubt he still has many fans behind him. As such, hopefully this can get cleared out amongst the two parties to result in a less heated and scrutinized public beef. Regardless, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on QCM and Offset.
