DMX’s Son, Exodus, Joins In On “Of Course” TikTok Trend, Shows How They’re Alike

DMX’s son, Exodus, joined in on the “of course” TikTok trend by making several references to his late father. He remarked about wearing Timberlands, sounding like his father, being a Ruff Ryder, and more.

“I’m DMX’s son, of course I wear Timberlands,” Exodus began, “I’m DMX’s son, of course, I like Now and Laters, I’m DMX’s son, of course, I have music in me. I’m DMX’s son, of course, I like to read the Bible and I have faith. I’m DMX’s son, of course, when lyrics come to my mind, I write them down. I’m DMX’s son, of course, I like to growl. I’m DMX’s son, of course, I’m a Ruff Ryder. I’m DMX’s son, of course, I love my daddy. I’m DMX’s son, of course, I rep. Yonkers. I’m DMX’s son, of course, I sound like my daddy.”

It’s not the first time Exodus has gone viral on social media. On his late father’s birthday, last year, he performed a piano cover of “X Gon’ Give It to Ya” as a tribute. DMX’s fiancée, Desiree Lindstrom, captioned the post: “Happy Birthday Earl! Thinking of you always, but especially today. You was New York!!! Exodus tribute to you! (X gonna give it to ya) We love you baby!” Be on the lookout for further updates on DMX’s son on HotNewHipHop.

Big Sean, Logic, & More Trend As Fans Debate Worst Bars Of All Time

Big Sean, Logic, and more top rappers are trending on Twitter as fans debate the worst bars in hip-hop history. Sharing many of the rappers’ worst moments, users have been having a laugh at their expense since Friday night.

“Big Sean going triple-platinum in the qts,” one fan joked in response to the premise. Another agreed: “Big Sean got away with way too much.” One popular pick was Eminem’s infamous freestyle in which he raps: “It’s fun for me just to grab a boob/Plus, my penis got an attitude.” Childish Gambino’s early career has been the subject of mockery as well. His 2011 song, “Freaks and Geeks,” has been a viral pick. He raps: “Man, you hungry, have this sandwich/Got my wallet, cheese and lettuce/An elephant never forgets, so my d**k remembers everything.”

While Big Sean was a popular target of the Twitter thread, many of his fans came to his defense. “I’m convinced people just like to hate on Big Sean for sport because I swear if Ye or Drake said any of those lines, y’all would make it [the] holy grail.” one user argued. Another wrote: “Not only did Big Sean go off on this at the time, but it was so hard this flow became the industry standard for all of the biggest rappers at the time, and n****s STILL use it.”

Fans Share Worst Lyrics Of All Time

Neither Big Sean nor Logic appear to have responded to the trend, but if they do, be on the lookout for that on HotNewHipHop. Check out some of the most popular selections below.

Tory Lanez TikTok Trend Gets Backlash Online

The case of Tory Lanez has been one of the biggest scandals in hip-hop in recent years, also owed to the fact that it involves fellow MC Megan Thee Stallion on the other side of the courtroom. After years of back-and-forth, the court will sentence the Canadian artist on August 7. However, he popped up in pop culture in unconventional ways since, namely a recent TikTok trend. As such, a lot of users engaging in it are facing criticism online for not knowing that they’re promoting the convicted artist’s unreleased music with that trend. The unreleased song in question is called “Hurts Me,” and has been used a lot outside of the trend itself, as well.

Furthermore, the trend consists of a “striking face” filter that comically enlarges eyes and lips with a five o’clock shadow. The original audio has 125,000 uses in other videos, with most of them uploaded in the past three days alone. If you search for the song on social media, you will find an avalanche of fans begging for its release- and Tory’s, for that matter. However, when it comes to people using the trend without knowing it’s him, blog Daily Dot brought up the example of previously unreleased tracks that trended eventually becoming big hits.

Tory Lanez’s Unreleased Track “Hurts Me” In TikTok Trend

Of course, hardcore Tory Lanez fans will likely continue to share their love for the song and the artist regardless. However, the article and some Twitter users pointed out that this only gives Tory and his ream more reason to eventually drop the song and profit off of it. “Why have you lot made a Tory Lanez song trend on TikTok, have we learnt nothing,” one user tweeted. Still, many users also expressed that you can still love the song and understand why the 30-year-old should be behind bars. It’s a murky situation, but a personal one at the end of the day. No song is a “Get Out Of Jail Free” card, after all.

Meanwhile, Lanez’s team recently failed to dismiss and disqualify the judge who ruled against his motion for a new trial. In addition, he and DaBaby faced accusations of trying to ambush one of Meg’s performances. With each new development, the case seems to get wilder and wilder, but fans are still dead-set on wanting “Hurts Me” to see the light of day. Mac Miller Trends On Twitter After Jack Harlow Makes Eminem Comparison On “Jackman”

Of the new albums that have arrived so far this weekend, arguably one of the most talked about so far is Jack Harlow’s Jackman. The 10-track, featureless effort chiefly shows off the Kentucky native’s pen game after a lukewarm reaction to his sophomore LP, Come Home The Kids Miss You. Of the titles on the tracklist, one that’s earned a significant amount of attention so far is the second, “They Don’t Love It,” on which he cleverly compares himself to Eminem – an artist he’s looked up to for most of his life.

“Ya boy’s strivin’ to be the most dominant ever / The hardest white boy since the one who rapped about vomit and sweaters,” Harlow rhymes on his latest release. While his biggest fans would obviously agree with that statement, so many were ready to argue with the “WHAT’S POPPIN” hitmaker that one of his contemporaries’ names began trending on Twitter today (April 29). According to many, the late Mac Miller is undeniably the one who deserves that moniker, not him.

Jack Harlow Calls Himself “The Hardest White Boy” Since Eminem

“Until Jack Harlow drop a verse like Paul Wall on ‘Sitting Sideways,’ or give us albums like Mac Miller he can respectfully shut the f*ck up,” one certainly upset user wrote. Another chimed in with, “Mac Miller was better than both of y’all if we being honest,” not-so-subtly dissing both Harleezy and Slim Shady. Elsewhere, others markedly begged fans to leave the fallen Circles artist’s name out of the conversation. They’ve previously done this during other online discourse, involving names like Pete Davidson, Ariana Grande, and Kanye West.

Thus far, other fan favourites from Jackman appear to be “Gang Gang Gang” and the project’s longest effort, “Blame On Me.” This is the first full-length work we’ve heard from the 25-year-old since last year’s album. Of course, he did come together with DJ Drama on “Mockingbird Valley” at the very end of March. Scroll further to read more Twitter reactions to Jack Harlow’s braggadocious bars on his new surprise project. Afterward, tell us who your personal favourite of the three white lyricists is in the comments below.

Angela Bassett Trends On Twitter As Users Anticipate Oscars Win

Angela Bassett became a Twitter trend as users anticipate her Oscars win for her role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Moreover, many fans online really want her to win the Best Supporting Actress award, especially after she won the Golden Globe. In fact, it’s quite the stacked year with a lot of stellar performances and great films to watch. Furthermore, the other nominees in this category are Kerry Condon, Jamie Lee Curtis, Stephanie Tsu, and Hong Chau. Overall, Bassett was already nominated for an Oscar before, but this might just be the year.

In other awards show news, Bassett recently accepted the award for Entertainer of the Year at the NAACP Image Awards. During her acceptance speech, she referenced a highly criticized performance from Ariana DeBose during the BAFTA Awards where she rapped about the female nominees. “I guess Angela Bassett did the thing,” she joked referencing DeBose’s bit. Earlier that night, she said she actually DM’d DeBose to check in on her after people clowned her. Queen Ramonda is as gracious and kind off-screen as she is on.

“I DM’d her last night,” she told Variety on the red carpet. “I did. It was beautiful. I just wanted to make sure she was OK because, you know, it’s a lot of attention. And she is A-OK.” She continued her thoughts during an Extra red carpet interview at the SAG Awards. “I saw her that night, and I gave her a big hug,” the 64-year-old revealed. “She, my daughter, and I have pictures together. So, we were really thrilled. And then, when I saw [the performance] come out and really take flight, I DM’d her. I said, ‘I hope you’re not at all bothered by the attention we’re generating, my dear, because you’re fierce, and I adore you.’”

“We love how everyone is having fun with it now!” she added. “Just having fun.” Now, it seems like all those people that went crazy over DeBose’s display seem to be concentrating their viral energies into manifesting an Academy Award for the acclaimed actress. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates from the Oscars and Angela Bassett.

Chris Brown Calls Himself A “Rizz God”

One of the Internet’s new favorite words these days is “rizz,” although it’s probably already old to some people at this point. Regardless, it means “charisma” in the basic sense, and it’s a meme these days because… it’s a funny word, how could it not be? Regardless, Chris Brown recently posted a video on Instagram labeling himself a “Rizz God,” whatever that means. Of course, the singer’s recent investigations, resurfaced allegations, and online reckoning contradict any shred of charisma. However, as he continues to tour around the world and find fans at every turn, his statement is unfortunately undeniable.

Furthermore, the R&B star’s been in the middle of a lot of backlash and controversy these past few weeks. It all started, seemingly, when Chlöe announced a collab with him. After fans responded with Brown’s history of abuse and violence, he went on various rants and beefed with everyone from Kiely Williams to a gaggle of white celebrities that he posted online. In fact, things seem to balance out between an accusation or attack at him, and waves of defensive fans online. Despite the negativity and adoration, Brown seems to sit comfortably in the middle, letting it all phase by. This newest video, for example, is really just him having fun and nothing more.

Chris Brown Is Starting To Feel Like A “Rizz God”

For those of you unfamiliar, the video references some TikTok audios and challenges that “show you how to flirt.” Hence, the “Look At Me Now” star’s exaggerated facial expressions and overacting come off quite comical. However, nothing could’ve really predicted that Chris Brown would one day call himself a “Rizz God,” even though that’s exactly what he would do. While it’s often funny to see celebrities tap into viral trends or lingo, the polarizing conversation around him makes it tough to fully enjoy.

Still, he’ll continue his Europe tour dates throughout March, where fans can see the “rizz” for themselves. As an excellent overall performer, it should be a treat for his fans. However, it seems like more and more people are getting tired of his antics, so time will tell how his career legacy evolves. With that in mind, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Chris Brown.

Roc Nation Trends On Twitter As Users Poke Fun At Tory Lanez’s Dad

The two weeks during which Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion’s trial took place earlier this week were undeniably tense. Since then, however, the internet has blown up with memes reacting to some of the more comedic moments that took place throughout the case.

Most recently, it’s been the artist’s father, Sonstar Peterson, who is being markedly ridiculed online. Specifically, Twitter users are having a field day with his condemnation of Roc Nation following his son’s guilty verdict.

“I just stood here and witnessed the worst miscarriage of justice that this world has ever seen. You want to know how I feel, I’ll tell you exactly how I feel,” he ranted after being removed from the courthouse last week.

Sonstar obviously thinks that Megan’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, and Roc Nation’s COO, Desiree Perez, are to blame for Lanez’s prosecution. Additionally, he cast blame on “the whole wicked system of Roc Nation, including you, Jay-Z.”

“You who say you rose from the gutter, but you have traded and bartered the souls of young men, and you’re still doing it,” Peterson continued targeting Hov.

Aside from his father’s reaction, the “Say It” hitmaker also has countless fans still in his corner. Many of them have accordingly signed a petition requesting Lanez be released. However, it’s unlikely that will be entertained before his January 27th sentencing.

Thee Stallion herself comparatively has yet to comment on the situation. Still, Twitter users are keeping the verdict in the vernacular by blaming Roc Nation for some of their own problems, in the same style as Sonstar.

“Roc Nation can’t keep getting away with this,” one person previously replied to a post reading, “The fact that it’s 10 degrees in every state don’t seem strange to y’all?”

Another chimed in, “Half the people who work for Roc Nation can’t even get into the Roc Nation brunch but sure they have control over LA superior court.”

In other news, we recently revealed what Tory Lanez got to eat for Christmas dinner while behind bars. Read more about that here, and afterwards, check out more funny tweets below.
