Besides missing out on major milestones, prisoners also bypass many tragedies, such as illness and funerals. Less than a year into his sentence, Tory Lanez is learning this the hard way as he says goodbye to a recently deceased friend via Instagram.

On Thursday (September 7), the father of one’s profile lit up with a message dedicated to a woman named Alexa, who was a muse for Lanez’s 2021 Alone At Prom album. It’s unclear exactly how, or when she died, though the R&B artist had nothing but beautiful things to say about their relationship. “ALEXA… A close friend to me and so many, a beautiful soul and the muse that revolutionized ‘Alone At Prom,’” he penned from his cell.

Tory Lanez’s Past Muse Tragically Loses Her Life

“We laughed, we worked, we partied, and we shared many deep conversations and moments together,” Lanez reflected. “I should have been there to stop this from happening 😔. It hurts more that I was not able to say my final goodbyes at your Ceremony of Life, but I promise to make your legacy live on. You meant so much to so many of us 🤍. May your imprint be stamped on the world forever as you Rest in Paradise.” In the heartfelt caption’s accompanying photo dump, the 31-year-old shared some of his favourite memories with Alexa, including the time they spent on set filming visuals together.

Interestingly, Tory Lanez’s heartfelt tribute to his fallen friend surfaced online around the same time we heard about the plea deal he reportedly refused. Apparently, the Canadian was offered an opportunity that would see him spending only four years in prison, rather than 10, but he wasn’t interested. A Two-Part Documentary On The Megan Thee Stallion And Tory Lanez Shooting Is Set To Hit Streaming, And Fans Are Not Happy About It

Fans of Megan Thee Stallion were vocally supportive of the “Body” rapper in the case of the 2020 shooting by Tory Lanez, who was convicted and sentenced to 10 years in prison last month. A documentary about the shooting is scheduled to hit Discovery Plus in the UK this Monday, September 4.

In a trailer for the film, which is called Megan Thee Stallion VS Tory Lanez: Five Shots,the case is described as “the biggest case since O.J.” The clip also teases that the documentary will comprise of “two films, two sides.”

Since the trailer circulated online, many fans have taken to social media to express their disdain for the documentary, calling it exploitative.

“y’all be so geeked to profit off of someone’s trauma for entertainment, weird,” said one fan on Twitter.

Another fan likened the documentary to Netflix’s Depp V. Heard and accused streaming networks of profiting from women’s trauma.

“women’s trauma is just clickbait to these studios and they genuinely do not care about how amber and megan were dogpiled by the media just for being honest,” she said, “and i’d go as far to say that they encourage this mistreatment.”

At the time of writing, only a trailer for a UK streaming has made its way onto the internet, as Discovery Plus has since merged with Max to become one platform. Max has not yet shared a trailer on any of their social platforms.

A U.S. air date or streaming date has not been announced.

Tory Lanez Reportedly Married Now According To Bail Motion

Tory Lanez is currently in the middle of his appeal and bail process, which so far revealed some very interesting and surprising information. However, this specific new development has little to do with his crimes, and more with his personal life and growth. Moreover, reporter Meghann Cuniff recently released the full bail motion from the Canadian artist’s legal team. It states that his fiancée, Raina Chassagne, with whom he shares a six-year-old child, is now his wife. Furthermore, this relationship seemingly developed quickly, as Cuniff explained in the tweet containing a screenshot of the legal document.

“From his sentencing hearing engagement announcement to his bail motion wedding announcement, Tory Lanez’s relationship status has advanced rapidly in the last few weeks,” Meghann Cuniff remarked. “His fiancée is now his wife, according to the motion.” Specifically, this move mentioned the wedding in relation to Daystar Peterson being unlikely to flee or go off the map is he gets bail. Even though it’s a hard time, it’s at least a silver lining for Lanez amid a lot of struggle. Despite his actions and attitude, it’s always important for people to have someone there to help them.

“Mr. Peterson continues to have strong ties to the community, as shown through testimony at his sentencing hearing within this honorable court on August 7th and 8th, 2023,” Tory Lanez’s bail motion read. “If released, he would live locally in the Los Angeles area, with his wife, Raina Chassagne, and their child, aged 6 years-old. Upon receiving bail, Mr. Peterson’s wife and child will be relocating from Florida to Los Angeles, where the child will be regularly attending school. They will rent a home near Mr. Peterson’s father, step-mother, siblings, and their children.”

Meanwhile, it seems like Lanez’s legal team is still committed to getting him out of prison and shifting things as much in his favor as possible. It’s still a controversial situation, but one that’s mostly in retrospect now. It wouldn’t be surprising if that changes, but his sights are on the court system now, not Megan Thee Stallion or the culture. Tory Lanez’s Lawyer Updates His Appeal Process, Addresses His Italy Trip

Tory Lanez wants to move forward with his appeal process for his 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion, but has some bumps in the road to go over first. For example, his attorney Jose Baez hadn’t filed the motion for this yet despite promises that he would do so promptly. Moreover, these reports came from Meghann Cuniff, the independent reporter who’s covered this case extensively and drawn the ire of Tory’s team as a result. In addition, she said that Baez was posting snaps from an Italy trip. The lawyer recently took to Instagram to comment on these reports and provide a status update on the post-sentence process for the Canadian artist.

“It has been brought to my attention that a blogger [Cuniff] has claimed that Tory Lanez is not a priority because I’m allegedly in Italy,” Baez wrote. “For the record I travel to Italy 2 to 4 times a year. I have both business interests as well as clients who have business in Italy. It is a beautiful country and a privilege to visit. This blogger has had a clear bias against Tory and has attacked everyone associated with him as well as made numerous inaccurate assumptions. In fairness to her, she has no legal training and has never worked in the court system [not true, by the way], so her opinions have little to no merit whatsoever.” In addition, he took a screenshot of an account that alleges that Cuniff “is a drunk.”

Moreover, Meghann Cuniff, who’s been covering the case diligently, recently gave an update via Twitter on its status. She relayed that it’s been over two weeks since the Canadian artist’s attorney Jose Baez promised to file a motion for his bail amid conviction appeals and his sentence. As of writing this article, there’s no such motion on the floor. However, it seems like Baez isn’t too concerned, as he posted pictures on his social media of an Italy vacation.

In addition, Cuniff stated that Tory Lanez’s notice of appeal appeared in court filings on August 10. While the Court of Appeals’ website doesn’t yet reflect an open case, she predicted that it would come up soon. Also, she clarified that upon the filing of an opening brief, that will show significant movement, but that said outcome probably won’t happen for a couple more months. It sounds a bit confusing, but the gist (if we’re interpreting correctly) is that, despite a conviction and sentence, this case is far, far from over in the appeals and bail circuit.

Adam22 & Wack 100 Pick Their Sides & Debate The Tory Lanez Case

Adam22 recently had Wack 100 on the No Jumper podcast to discuss a lot of things, whether it was the host’s adult tape controversies or the guest’s controversial management of 6ix9ine. As if those weren’t enough ruffled feathers, they also debated the Tory Lanez case. Specifically, the two men argued over whether the Canadian artist actually shot Megan Thee Stallion, what the consequences for his guilty verdict will be, and whether he will complete his ten-year sentence. Adam took Megan’s side, whereas Wack defended Tory as innocent in this. Overall, it didn’t make the situation any less complex to discuss, but no one’s convincing anyone of anything anytime soon.

Furthermore, Wack 100 believes that Tory Lanez will be home in two years, beating gun enhancement charges on appeal and fighting in court for that process.
