Lil Tjay Thinks Him & Kanye West Should Collab On “VULTURES,” Talks Avoiding Cancel Culture

“You only canceled if you cancel yourself if you allow them to cancel you.” Those were the words of New York rapper and singer Lil Tjay. According to AllHipHop, TMZ caught him at the airport to talk about Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s controversial album VULTURES 1. Outside of the quality of the music and its rollout, the main reason why this LP is receiving backlash is because of its creator. It makes sense, especially because of Ye’s comments about antisemitism and his questionable actions online with his wife Bianca Censori. Music listeners have been at war over whether this album is good or not. But, Lil Tjay sees VULTURES as a huge success.

Tjay went on to talk about how cancel culture is more so about what each individual feels. “I feel like n****s can’t cancel me, n****s can’t cancel nobody—all they can do is block you out of they world, and they world is limited to what they do.” That ability to block out the noise allowed Kanye and Ty to nonchalantly go number one. On top of that, they did it without a major label as well, being exclusively released through YZY.

That is another reason why Lil Tjay feels VULTURES did so well. Even with the lack of label support, the fans did enough to run up the streams and sales. Tjay said, “I think that label s*** help. I think if he had some support he probably would’ve did triple the numbers.” All that respect for Ye even led him to end the interview with a request to be added to VULTURES. “So Kanye, put me on that s*** though.” he certainly put the message out a huge platform, so there is good chance this could happen.

Trinidad James Gives His Take On Megan Thee Stallion & Nicki Minaj Beef

Everyone has something to say about the Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion rap beef, especially their peers in the game. The latest to do so is one Trinidad James, who recently caught up with TMZ at what seems like an airport, and they presumably asked him about the two femcees clashing right now. Overall, he discussed how they are launching personal attacks at one another and their families, but he also brought up hip-hop’s history of lyrical competition. As such, the “All Gold Everything” artist thinks that this is fair game and an important factor to uphold, and also spoke on power imbalances between them.

“Number one is a heavy crown to wear,” Trinidad James remarked. “Most people don’t ever get a chance to wear the crown. So, it’s really hard to judge the actions of a number one type of person. You won’t get it because you haven’t been to that plateau. So I say that to say that, in the Nicki and Megan situation, it’s always unfortunate when people’s families catch strays in beef, but the essence of rap and hip-hop is about lyrical competition.

“How low below the belt you go is unfortunate, and that takes back to somebody’s character,” Trinidad James continued. “But the basic essence and formula of rap and hip-hop is lyrical competition, and that’s how I see it. I mean, you had Jay-Z and Nas back in the day, and they said pretty cr*zy things about each other, too, at the time when “Ether” and things of such came out. Again, Nicki is a veteran in this, and so she came up with real hunters. Real killers, who they’re not really about using their hands for anything. Their words is their power, their words is their sword.

“So, however somebody is feeling when they’re really good with words… if they’re really good with them, it’s gonna sound intense because that’s what this is, it’s lyrical competition,” he concluded. “This is hip-hop, this is rap, bro! You gotta rap to rap, and you gotta stand on your raps. This is not a girl’s club, this is not a tea party. This is a place where your words pay your family and your legacy for life. Defend yourself! Chrisean Rock Flexes Junior’s $40K Pacifier At LAX, Gives-Post-Surgery Update: Watch

Because so much of her personal life is privy to the public eye, Chrisean Rock doesn’t get nearly as much grace as most new mothers. We’ve seen her misusing a baby carrier at the grocery store, publicly feuding with her baby daddy and his fiancee, and hire a maid to assist with cleaning around her home while she stays focused on caring for Junior. Even with her many mistakes, Rock still has loyal supporters, and she’s clearly not letting anyone with negative comments get her down.

On Thursday (November 16), the 23-year-old was at LAX, where she ran into TMZ. During the brief interview, Chrisean seemed to be in good spirits, and she confidently held onto Junior while talking to the camera. Of course, she couldn’t wait to show off the $40K pacifier she recently splurged on for her firstborn. “I’m excited,” the Baltimore native shared when asked how parenting is going for her over two months in. She also noted that having her first-ever charting song so soon after giving birth has been an “amazing” experience.

Chrisean Rock Continues to Grow into Her Role as a First-Time Mother

The track in question is her Blueface diss, “MR. TAKE YA B*TCH,” which she made in tandem with Lil Mabu. It’s peaked at No. 96 so far, which may not seem like much. However, it’s still more impressive than many other artists have managed to achieve. In the same interview, Rock shared that Junior is recovering well from his hernia surgery, and that she’s completely fallen in love with him.

While she definitely looks to be handling her baby better than she was a few months ago, we still can’t forget the hot water that an emotional meltdown landed Chrisean Rock in last weekend. She’s mostly been denying her role in the assault of James Wright Chanel, and some of her fans have even pulled up outside the home of one of Tamar Braxton’s team members after he spoke out about the incident on social media. Mario Believes He Earned Spot On R&B’s Mount Rushmore

Mario has been in the R&B genre for decades now, amassing chart-topping hits, awards, cultural acclaim, and a lot of experience. Moreover, TMZ Hip Hop recently caught him on the street in Beverly Hills, and they prompted a “R&B Mount Rushmore” conversation. Of course, the Baltimore singer had plenty of names to go through, many of which came almost instantly to him when asked about the genre’s all-time greats. However, he eventually pivoted to making his own case as to why he should also be part of that list of GOATs. Sure, there are many to consider, but the 37-year-old doesn’t want anyone sleeping on him. Also, he spoke about the music industry as a whole within hip-hop and R&B.

“Ooh, that’s a good one,” Mario replied to the question of his R&B Mount Rushmore. “Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, um… me! *laughs* You know why I say that? Hold on. Because I grew up listening to so many different types of music. With my mother and my grandmother, I got two generations of just soul music, you know, just great R&B. You know what I’m saying, that I grew up to. So that’s why I say my voice, I can do a little bit of everything. I was thinking the fourth person would be… the fourth person would be Whitney Houston. Um, Usher, it’s a lot. My Mount Rushmore can go, like, it can go cr*zy.

Mario Makes His Case For R&B’s Mount Rushmore

“I think that what can help with R&B culture is just getting back to, like, raw music,” Mario said of the current genre landscape. “Just really taking your time to create timeless music and not just hits, you know what I’m saying? Let’s just get back to creating timeless music, let’s get back to artist development, let’s get back to creating music that can stand the test of time, man. Originality. I wouldn’t say there’s something wrong with music. I think that, as a culture, we just gotta get back to making meaningful music. Not music just to make bread and make money, but music that makes people feel something. Feel good, you know, feel inspired.

“If you go back to any classic album you think is classic and you listen to it, something about that album inspires you,” he continued. “Music is meant to inspire people, it’s meant to be the soundtrack of our culture. If 20 years from now, people want to understand our world based off of the music we listening to today, what would they be getting? I mean, that’s what I think about it, you know what I’m saying? It’s a lot of greats out there, still a lot of young artists that came from that time that’s doing their thing. Paul Wall Says Drake Can Get A Lifetime’s Worth Of Free Grills From Him

Texas-born rapper Paul Wall is a true underrated icon in the Southern hip-hop scene. He needs to be mentioned with others such as DJ Screw, Bun B, and other legends from the area. That is exactly what Drake did at his latest show that took place in Houston. Drake is still on his It’s All A Blur tour that has drawn in many sold-out shows. The superstar rapper added more dates back in late April and one of them was in Texas.

He made a five-day stop in The Lone Star State, which started back on September 11 in Austin. It was at the Moody Center, which was a show that was tacked on. After that, he took a short trip to Dallas to perform at the American Airlines Center for two days. Finally, he went big by wrapping things up in Houston at the Toyota Center. Clearly, it seems that Drake enjoys touring there. According to TMZ, he said he would move there during the two shows in Houston. Drizzy tossed around the idea at the Phoenix show too, so we will see what he decides.

He could not help but be thankful for the love, saying, “Felt great getting that shout-out from Drizzy Drake.” Because of that, Wall decided it was only right to hook him up with a lifetime supply of grills from his business partner, Johnny Dang. It was a wholesome moment for him and he is also gearing up to drop a new album on December 1 called The Great Wall.

Shaquille O’Neal Has High Remarks For Deion Sanders’ Coaching Job At Colorado

This past weekend, Boulder, Colorado was bringing out all of the stars, including Shaquille O’Neal, for one reason and one reason only. If you have not been keeping up with college football this season, the Colorado Buffaloes are the talk of the town this year because of Deion Sanders. Ever since he has taken the reins of what has been a porous program for quite some time, they are back on the map. Just last season the team went 1-11 and were dead last in the Pac-12. Now, they are 3-0 and ranked number 19 in the country in the AP Top 25 Poll.

Colorado was up against it this past Saturday when they faced their in-state rival Colorado State. It was a brutal battle for the Centennial Cup, even with the Rams being 23-point underdogs ahead of kickoff. Colorado was down by double digits, but Shedeur Sanders and the offense came alive in the fourth quarter and both overtimes to stun the visitors, 43-35. Shaquille O’Neal was in attendance and he saw greatness on the field, but also on the sidelines.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, Shaq heaped tons of praise on Deion Sanders and the job he has done since his arrival. When a legend in another sport recognizes high-level coaching, you know he is talking about it from experience. The Diesel compared him to another all-timer in Phil Jackson, who led those Shaq and Kobe Bryant teams to multiple championships. He explained, “I know exactly what the [Colorado players] are going through because when you are standing in front of someone that has an impressive resume, and you’re trying to get to the level he get to, everything you say is golden. I felt that way when Phil Jackson first came to the Lakers.” He also added that Deion is the best coach in college football currently. The team is still growing, but make no mistake, Colorado football is here to stay because of Sanders.

Prior to the Canadian, the “Bops” hitmaker was also linked to Blueface and Trippie Redd, proving that she doesn’t exactly have a type, though she does seem to be into fellow creatives – specifically rappers – and men with melanin. This was further confirmed during a new TMZ interview with Gianni Paolo, in which the Power actor revealed that Leray recently left him on read.

“Team single for life — unless it’s Coi Leray,” the 27-year-old told the outlet. “I mean she left me on read a couple weeks ago, which is cr*zy.” It seems Paolo didn’t take a subtle approach when shooting his shot with the Boston baddie. “I just said like, ‘You’re my wife’ — that’s the opening line always. So, I said that. [She] viewed that, viewed my whole story — and I was like damn,” he reflected while wearing a 50 Cent shirt and shades.

Power producer Fif didn’t advise Gianni on the big move, but the latter did make it clear he’s down for the “Candy Shop” hitmaker to work some magic. “50 if you can set me up with Coi Leray, let’s go — let’s get it going,” he eagerly shared, noting that he already has an extravagant first date planned.

She may have left Gianni Paolo on read, but Coi Leray certainly didn’t give Boosie Badazz the same treatment when he showed support for her new COI album. Christian Combs On “Nepo Baby” Discourse: “Heavy Is The Head That Wears The Crown”

From the outside looking in, being a part of a nepotist circle doesn’t sound so bad. For simply being a famous person’s baby, you get to reap the countless benefits of celebrity status, and likely have no shortage of job opportunities coming your way. Of course, the discourse has shifted recently, with mass wealth (and keeping it in the family) becoming harder to stomach as the cost of living continues to rise.

One of the latest stars to face questions about their “nepo baby” status is obviously Christian “King” Combs. Last week, TMZ caught up with Diddy’s son at LAX, where they asked him how he’s been dealing with the pressure and critics.

“You must be so sick and tired of this debate everyone’s having,” a journalist told Combs as they walked through the airport. “Everyone’s coming for kids of famous people and nepotism.”

In response, the 24-year-old calmly said, “Not really. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. We’ve got a big legacy to fill. Right now? Bad Boy? We number one!”

Of course, the reporter had to press for more. “Do you feel any sort of way about benefitting from your dad’s success? Or like just is what it is?” he asks King. “How do you feel about being born into a lucky situation?”

“I feel like I’m blessed,” the rapper earnestly tells the camera. “We gonna take the legacy far, Bad Boy for life.” Finally, when sending out a message to any of his haters, Combs referenced his latest single. “Can’t stop, won’t stop, never stop. Just stop hating! That’s it.”

While outsiders may be hating on King and his famous family, they’ve been busy with the newest addition – Love. The little one was born to 28-year-old Dana Tran last year, though Diddy didn’t announce her arrival until October.

La La Anthony On Her Love Life: “I Don’t Feel Like Any Guys Want To Date Me”

A new year is a time for new beginnings and optimism. However, not everyone is able to maintain cheer in every aspect of their life. For example, La La Anthony is having a hard time finding her prince charming – or so she told TMZ this week.

The gossip blog caught up with the mother of one at LAX recently. At the time, they asked about comments she made last year on the Call Her Daddy podcast. If you didn’t tune in, the Power starlet dished about the men in her DMs, specifically noting that they’re often much younger than her.

“Literally, guys will DM me, or wanna take me out. I’ll Google them and I’ll be like, ‘You’re 22 years old?!’ Like, HOW?!” she told host Alex Cooper.

Since then, it seems Anthony hasn’t had any luck settling down with a suitor. When TMZ asked about her prior comments on the podcast, she said, “I retract my statement. It’s the top of the year and I don’t feel like any guys wanna date me,” she teased with a smile and laugh.

When the interviewer asked her about her dream man’s age, she playfully said, “Age ain’t nothin’ but a number!” while hopping in the backseat of her waiting vehicle. Pressing for more, the journalist prompted her to pick between a 22-year-old guy and a 40-year-old man.

“I prefer whoever is for me,” she wisely responded. “Whoever God says is for me, I’m good with it.” However, she noted afterward that “22 is a little too young.” When it comes to 34, though, “we can do that,” she says.

Before embarking on her journey back into the world of dating, La La was married to NBA player Carmelo Anthony. They were married for seven years, and share one son, 15-year-old Kiyan, who they continue to co-parent.
