The Breakfast Club is one of the best-known pop culture radio shows on the air right now, but ever since Angela Yee walked away from the program, listeners are eager to find out who her replacement will be. Jess Hilarious is just one of the media personalities to have stepped in for the Lip Service host in late 2023, and before the year was up, there was even talk of her taking on a full-time role alongside DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God.

Interestingly, Hilarious hasn’t been back on the air since sharing the news, leaving us befuddled as to what’s next for the TBC crew. Just a few days ago, TMZ caught up with Tha God to ask him some questions, though it seems he’s just as lost as everyone else. “Huh?” the Brilliant Idiots host responded as the outlet pressed him for updates. “Jess? I don’t know where Jess is!” he insisted, before plugging her iHeartRadio podcast and the stand-up comedy she’s still doing. “I guess the better question is, where’s our third host?” a female voice behind the camera inquired.

“That’s a really great question, I would love to know the answer to that. I mean, I just came from downstairs. It was just me and Envy doing the show again. Everybody saw us rotating guest hosts last year,” Charlamagne told TMZ. “We said we was gonna start 2024 with a new host, and that hasn’t happened yet.” He was unable to provide details about any potential renegotiations unfolding, instead claiming ignorance on the whole matter and making it clear he’s not interested in bringing in new rotating guests to help out in the studio again.

Jess Hilarious might not be providing answers as to whether or not she’ll be on The Breakfast Club with DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God, but that doesn’t mean she’s staying out of the public eye entirely. Charlamagne Tha God Responds To NBA YoungBoy Diss, Says His Brain Hasn’t Fully Developed

Charlamagne Tha God responded to NBA YoungBoy’s diss track aimed at him during Tuesday’s episode of The Breakfast Club. In doing so, Charlamagne says he has no interest in pulling up on the rapper and joked that his brain isn’t fully developed.

“I ain’t going to no place called Grave Digger Mountain,” Charlamagne said. “[What] the hell I’m doing on Grave Digger Mountain if it ain’t Halloween?” He added: “The young brother said he’s not big on fatherhood. We all should be big on fatherhood. But he’s 24 years old, so his prefrontal cortex hasn’t even fully developed yet. He’ll start thinking rationally once he turns 25, maybe.”

NBA YoungBoy invited Charlamagne to travel to Grave Digger Mountain in a diss track aimed at the podcast host titled, “Act a Donkey.” He dropped the song in response to Charlamagne criticizing his recent comments on not being “big” on fatherhood, which he made on The Bootleg Kev Podcast. “He has 11 kids, but he’s not really big on fatherhood,” Charlamagne said. “I didn’t know I had to say this, but my brothers, that is wack. What bothers me about statements like this is that NBA YoungBoy talks that gangsta talk in his records. Not only does he talk that gangsta talk, he talks that big-money talk. While he referenced the track in the earlier comments, he spoke more at length about his struggle to get it out during an interview with Joe Budden on Conversation Lovers Only, last year. “I was pissed, I’m not gonna lie, I was pissed, man,” he admitted at the time. “It’s a fucking Drake record! DJ Envy Prepared to Testify Against Former Partner in Real Estate Case if Necessary

DJ Envy Goes Against Lawyer's Advice, Makes Statement Against Rumored Involvement in Real State Scam

DJ Envy is prepared to testify against his former business partner, Cesar Pina, if necessary. According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Envy is prepared to take the stand.

“We are aware that on December 20, 2023, the Court issued an Order compelling the production of documents demanded in those subpoenas,” Envy’s lawyer, Daniel Marchese, wrote. “At this time, I am happy to report that on Friday, January 5, 2024, we forwarded our responses and document production to counsel for the Trustee in these aforementioned cases.

“Given the professional back-and-forth between counsel and I since then, it would appear that indeed the responses and the production were acknowledged and received by the Trustee. With this writing, I therefore confirm my client’s compliance with Your Honor’s Order. As I offered to Trustee’s counsel, I will likewise offer to the Court that should sworn testimony (in any form) be needed to affirm my client’s responses and production, he would readily oblige.”

Last year, according to court reporter Meghann Cunniff, Envy must provide documents regarding Cesar Pina’s Whairhouse LLC bankruptcy by request by Judge Rosemary Gambardella to the court-mandated report by Jan. 8.

If Envy did not meet the deadline he could be arrested and make a mandatory deposition in New Jersey bankruptcy court.

Envy already missed one deadline as Judge Gambardella states Envy did not comply witha subpoena to provide financial and communication documents by Nov. 28. The order also lists Pina and his wife, Jennifer Iturralde Pina, under the same Jan. 8 deadline. If the trio fail, Judge Gambardella could host a hearing “to address appropriate sanctions against Cesar Pina, Jennifer Iturralde Pina and Raashaun Casey for contempt of this Court’s order, including, but not limited to an order for arrest to bring the parties to the United States Bankruptcy Court.”

In November, DJ Envy and Cesar Pina were named in a new lawsuit over their real estate business practices. In court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Envy, and Pina are being sued by Derik Deangelo, Chamblin Group Real Estate Ventures LLC, and Reispec Developments LLC.

The suit claims state the two men used their “Flipping New Jersey” seminars as “funnels to draw in victims” to their real estate scam. The lawsuit includes violations of the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act, a breach of contract, a civil RICO violation, fraudulent transfer, and more. The plaintiffs are seeking a jury trial and request $2,000,000 in damages.

“During these private consultations and meet and greets, members of the Pina network attempted to ‘size up’ the financial resources of each attendee and solicited individuals with sufficiently high net worth to ‘partner’ with Pina, DJ Envy, and other members of the network in real estate ‘joint ventures,’” the docs read. “During these meetings, Pina also offered his personal ‘consulting services’ wherein he made himself available for one-on-one private meetings with guests at his office for flat rate fees ranging from $1,500 to $2,500 per meeting and more.”

Recently, DJ Envy’s cohost, Charlamagne Tha God, spoke with the Rap Radar podcast and revealed that he would keep the show going if Envy was no longer part of the crew.

“‘The Breakfast Club’ is bigger than any of us as individuals,” Charla said. “I’ve always felt like that.”

He added, “I’ve never felt like The Breakfast Club was just a show about three individuals. That’s always where my mind was.”

Benny the Butcher has clarified his previous comments on DMX, which some fans found the be disrespectful. Speaking about the situation during a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, he explained that his remarks were taken out of context. He had written on Twitter in 2022 that he’d be dropping the best hip-hop album on Def Jam since DMX’s It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot. That project released back in 1998.

“Respect to DMX and his family and all that,” he began. “But what I meant was, I’m creating a Def Jam moment. These people who get on Twitter and…these blogs post that sh*t to get the reaction. I’m sick of them doing that. I’m sick of all these Internet f*ckin’ weirdos you’ve seen post that picture. Why post that sh*t? To get people talkin’?”

When Benny The Butcher tweeted “I’m votin Trump 2024,” many fans hoped that someone had hacked his account. However, he dodged a question about it during a podcast appearance shortly after, which got fans even more worried. Even though we shouldn’t hold anyone to any standard based solely on their political opinion, listeners simply wanted a more elaborate explanation as to why. Well, they just got it, as the Black Soprano Family boss appeared on The Breakfast Club for a wide-ranging interview. Moreover, he reflected a little bit more than last time about what that tweet means to him, and whether he stands by it today.

“People in our position ain’t supposed to speak on their political candidates,” Benny The Butcher expressed. “I also learned everybody voting for Trump, you know what I’m saying? Only president I voted for was Obama, so I really was just talking s**t. A lot of times, African Americans, we vote Democrat, and what the f**k that been doing for us? Cesar Pina’s Attorney Negotiating Plea Deal in Real Estate Scam Case

Cesar Pina, the controversial business partner of DJ Envy, is looking to reach a plea deal with federal prosecutors for his role in a real estate scam. According to AllHipHop, court docs highlight the work of Pina’s attorneys pushing for a continuance.

“Counsel for the parties represented that this additional continuance is necessary for effective preparation and to permit the parties to attempt to resolve this case prior to indictment and thereby avoid a trial,” the docs read. “Plea negotiations are currently in progress, and both the United States and the defendant desire additional time to negotiate a plea agreement, which would render grand jury proceedings and a trial in this matter unnecessary.”
