Tanna Leone Impresses With Blistering Flows On “Stuntman”

Back in 2022, Tanna Leone was signed to pgLang where he immediately made an impact. He came through with some new music as an introduction before being featured on the song “Mr. Morale” from Kendrick Lamar’s album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. Unfortunately, Leone’s relationship with pgLang has not proven to be a lengthy or fruitful one. Earlier this year, it was revealed that Leone was no longer signed to pgLang. There was no reasoning given for this, so fans have been left to speculate.

Regardless, Leone is still out here making new music which is certainly good news for all of the fans out there. Recently, Leone blessed fans with a new song called “Stuntman” which is supposed to come off of his upcoming album. As you will hear, this song is short but it is certainly effective as we hear numerous different flows from Leone. Furthermore, the production is bombastic and energetic, making this an undeniable banger.

When it comes to new artists, you want their art to be filled with personality. There needs to be something there for fans to latch onto so that they can keep coming back for future releases. This is definitely something Leone’s music has and it is why fans continue to look forward to whatever he has on the horizon. Hopefully, we get a new album, very soon.

Kendrick Lamar Announces ‘The Big Steppers Tour’ With Baby Keem And Tanna Leone

Kendrick Lamar‘s new album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers is out now, and naturally, the soon-to-be independent rapper has planned a world tour to promote it. He’s also bringing along his PgLang artists Baby Keem and Tanna Leone as supporting acts. The tour kicks off in Oklahoma City on July 19 and runs through September 15 in Los Angeles, where he’ll conclude the US leg in his native Los Angeles at the Crypto.com Arena. (Now that cryptocurrency has cratered, can we go back to calling it the Staples Center again?)

The European leg launches on October 10 in Prague and then, after Manchester on November 16, will bounce down to Oceania, hitting Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Aukland. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 20 at noon local time. Check out oklama.com to for more details and purchase info. You can see the full tour dates below.

PgLang Rapper Tanna Leone Drops His Debut Album ‘Sleepy Soldier’

Last year, Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free announced the launch of their media company PgLang after leaving TDE. While Kendrick has one last album left under the label, he got his own company off the ground the right way, releasing his cousin Baby Keem’s debut album The Melodic Blue. As the rollout for The Melodic Blue wound down early this year, fans were excited to see what PgLang would do next. They weren’t disappointed; the label quickly introduced its next signee, Los Angeles rapper Tanna Leone.

Tanna quickly established himself as a fitting addition to the label’s roster with tracks like “With The Villains,” “Lucky,” “Picasso,” and “Death N’ Taxes.” Now, he’s followed up with his debut album, Sleepy Soldier, which dropped today. Consisting of 14 tracks, the album finds Tanna going solo throughout, despite ostensibly having access to big-name collaborators like Kendrick and Keem. Instead, he works to establish himself as a charismatic rapper and a burgeoning star in his own right, addressing his chaotic upbringing and insecurities.

In a new interview on Complex, Tanna explained what he wanted from Sleepy Soldier. “Honestly, my goal was just to put my best foot forward and show people my range and my diversity,” he said. “I’m not interested in being put in a box or people attempting to categorize me as one thing or another. In reality, it’s pretty normal for a person to be able to change their faces depending on what room they’re going into. We all do it. So as an artist, I just wanted to be that. I wanted everybody to recognize my creativity and my ability to move around and change clothes and change hairstyles, and everybody knows it’s still me being authentic to me.”

You can listen to Sleepy Soldier below.
