Try as she might, Chrisean Rock just can’t seem to stay out of trouble lately. When she’s not feuding with Blueface, the new mother has seemingly taken to unleashing her anger on others who are prohibiting her from getting what she wants at that moment. On Friday (November 10) evening, reports of physical violence between Rock and James Wright began circulating on various blogs. According to insiders, Tamar Braxton brought the 23-year-old to appear at her live show as a guest performer last night. When it was time for her to go on, she was unreachable.
As a result, showrunners had no choice but to skip over Rock’s track and move on to Braxton’s next guest. According to @theneighborhoodtalk, the Baltimore native was out front attempting to get her friend inside the venue when she missed her cue. Chrisean apparently went backstage to seek out more answers, and upon entering Tamar’s dressing room, she spoke with Wright. In the middle of the man’s explanation, the reality starlet allegedly punched him in the face several times as she was under the impression he was lying to her.
The Braxton Family Values cast member was reportedly in the room at the time, and police came to the scene. Before they could speak with Rock there, she had already fled and was posting videos on her Instagram Story showing off her iced-out wrist and fingers that were likely feeling tender after throwing a few right hooks.
Are you surprised to see Chrisean Rock back on her bulls**t so soon after becoming a mother? Let us know in the comments, and check back later for any updates on James Wright’s recovery, as well as the authorities potentially speaking to his alleged assailant.
Tamar Braxton has undoubtedly paid her dues in the music industry. She has significantly contributed, alongside her siblings, to the growth of R&B. However, the veteran singer has not been as successful with love as with music. When it comes to romantic relationships, over the years, Braxton has opened up her heart several times.
Regardless, so far, only one of those relationships has stood the test of time. In October 2023, the singer’s most recent romance ended. Her engagement to Jeremy Robinson was called off after only a few months of being with him. Nonetheless, fans continue to root for her as she heals and eventually finds her perfect match. Until then, here are the times Tamar Braxton has taken a chance at love.
Darrell “Delite” Allamby (2000-2003)
Darrell Allamby is a Grammy-nominated record producer and songwriter. He and Tamar Braxton met in 2000 when the singer worked on her solo debut album, Tamar. While producing and co-writing “Money Can’t Buy Love” and “Once Again,” Allamby took a liking to Braxton. Evidently, Miss Braxton liked him back, and they started dating soon after. Thereafter, in 2001, the couple got married, and for two years, their relationship went strong. By 2003, however, the flame of their romance seemed to have burned out. They went their separate ways that same year and have stayed apart since then.
Vincent Herbert (2003-2017)
Vincent Herbert is a producer, songwriter, and record executive and, for a time, was Tamar Braxton’s manager. Given how long Braxton and Herbert were together, one would think or hope they would stay together forever. Well, that’s not how things played out, to the shock and dismay of some fans. After her breakup with Allamby in 2003, the stars seemed to align for Braxton when she fell for Herbert. They kicked their relationship off pretty smoothly, dating from 2003 until November 2008, when they got married.
Five years later, Logan Vincent Herbert was born, the couple’s first and only child. Meanwhile, in 2012, Braxton and Herbert premiered their reality TV series Tamar & Vince on WEtv. It was a spin-off of Braxton Family Values and ran for five seasons between 2012 and 2017. Throughout their time together, the two faced several challenges and experienced many rough patches in their relationship. However, it was in 2017 that they finally decided to call it quits. In October that year, before their ninth wedding anniversary, Tamar Braxton filed for divorce. Subsequently, their divorce was finalized in 2019.
David Adefeso (2018-2020)
Tamar Braxton and David Adefeso began dating in 2018 and often shared glimpses of their romance on social media. Adefeso, a Nigerian businessman and financial expert, gained public attention due to his relationship with the R&B star. Until 2020, when things ended between the two, things seemed to be going great. Unfortunately, it didn’t take very long to crumble. Following Braxton’s suicide attempt, it was Adefeso who found her. Braxton revealed on The Tamron Hall Show that her “household became very hard, and it was hard because I wasn’t happy at my job, and I hadn’t been happy for years.”
It all went downhill from there, even up to the point where Adefeso filed a restraining order against the singer for alleged domestic violence. Braxton has strongly denied the accusations, however, alleging instead that Adefeso cheated on her when they were together. Their relationship did not end on a good note, but they seem to have a cordial relationship nowadays. The businessman and singer have since shouted each other out on social media, causing speculations about them getting back together.
Jeremy “JR” Robinson (2023)
Tamar Braxton participated alongside Evelyn Lozada and Nivea in the recent reality TV show on Peacock, Queens Court. The series, which was created to help the three queens find true love, evidently proved successful with Braxton. The singer left the show booed up with finalist Jeremy Robinson. Although the lawyer has five children from four women, Braxton didn’t mind. She only cared about how she felt with him, and she felt good. In the finale of Queens Court that aired in March, the two got engaged.
Following their engagement, they seemed to be in a good place in the following months. However, in a surprising turn of events, it recently came out that their engagement was called off. On Monday, October 2, 2023, Robinson shared on an Instagram story that he and Braxton are no longer together. It is not yet known what exactly caused the termination of their engagement, but we do hope they both heal.
Last month Tamar Braxton announced she was leaving Atlanta after her car was robbed stating that she felt unsafe everywhere. Fand wondered where was her new fiance as he was nowhere to be found. Now Tamar’s fiance JR Robinson has announced they have gone separate ways. Posting to his Instagram account, JR confirmed that he and the singer/TV star “are no longer together” after much speculation.
“So many questions. So many assumptions. I want to answer all that I can with respect. Yes. Tamar and I are no longer together,” JR wrote on Instagram Story on Monday, October 2. “I ended the relationship to focus on getting back to positive energy & being a better person.”
JR later stressed that there’s no infidelity, noting, “What happened and why – that’s our private place. No, I never cheated. No, I wasn’t there when she was at her mothers place when her car was burglarized. No, I never cared about fame. Who reveals their most embarrassing moments in their life to find fame.”
He continued, “I have always represented famous people and the truth is I was in an amazing place financially and mentally. I turned down QueensCourt several times before I gave in. Ultimately, I fell in love and it didn’t end how I wanted it.” Concluding his post, the attorney wrote, “So, I want to heal. Tamar and I will always be friends and family for life. Thank you for respecting our privacy.” Tamar, meanwhile, has yet to comment on their split.
Tamar and JR got engaged on the “Queens Court” finale which aired in March. “I knew I was different than my siblings,” the 45-year-old singer told JR at the time. “I prayed for somebody to understand me and not look at me and my flaws and just accept me for who I am. And then I met you. And then I saw every single that I ever prayed for as a child.”
“I thought that I just needed love. I didn’t. I needed a friend. And you’ve been that for me,” the “Celebrity Big Brother” season 2 winner explained. In response to that, JR said, “I’m not only willing, I’m ready. So much so that I don’t want to be your friend. I don’t want to be your friend. I want to be your husband.”
He later got on one knee before asking, “Tamar, I’m here forever because I don’t see my life without you. I love you, Tamar. Tamar, will you marry me?” Tamar said yes while getting emotional.
Thoughts?

Singer/reality star Tamar Braxton recently revealed she was robbed where she lived in Atlanta and now she no longer feels safe at home. Tamar shared video of her car being burglarized inside her parking garage with several men slowly removing things from her vehicle. She wrote: I got robbed. At home. I’m not safe anywhere. I don’t know why I keep getting violated. I had a lot in my car cause I don’t live anywhere cause I’m not safe anywhere or with anyone
Her caption raised a flag for social media users and many questioned where was her newest fiance. Now sources are saying that Tamar is so shaken by the incident that she is thinking about leaving Atlanta for good.
Page Six reports:
After Tamar Braxton revealed on social media Monday that her car was burglarized at her Atlanta apartment building we’re told that she’s planning on moving out of the building — and she event wants to leave the city.
“She is highly pissed and freaked out. Now she wants to move out of the luxury building and wants to remove herself from ATL completely” said a source, “But that would be hard to do because she works for Dish Nation, which tapes in Atlanta.”
Surveillance video of the incident shows four men removing goods from her black Bentley.
“Expensive clothing items was taken from her car,” said the source, “She is talking to building security as to how the robbers gained access to the building in the first place and feels like there should be some type of compensation for her losses.”
Tamar Braxton’s genesis in the entertainment industry can be traced back to her choral beginnings in Severn, Maryland. Born the youngest of six siblings, she was destined for an odyssey with harmonies, high notes, and even higher stakes. If the Braxton family was a constellation in the night sky, Tamar was its North Star—effulgent and unmissable. Growing up in a devoutly religious household, her vocal timbre was initially nurtured in the crucible of gospel music.
The Braxton quintet, known as The Braxtons, initially acted as both a platform and a protective haven. It further showcased the collective and individual talents of the sisters. While this was Tamar’s debut to the world, it was merely the overture to a magnum opus. According to CAKnowledge, her net worth in 2023 is a testament to her brilliance—a staggering $51 million.
The Art Of Being Tamar: Versatility As A Virtue
Tamar Braxton’s narrative is neither monolithic nor one-dimensional. It’s a sprawling fresco of artistic and entrepreneurial endeavors. From her debut album Tamar in 2000 to subsequent chart-toppers like Love and War, she’s navigated the mercurial realm of R&B, gospel, and reality TV with acumen akin to a maestro conducting a symphony. This goes beyond mere vocal prowess. Tamar has also ventured into television with the reality series Braxton Family Values and its spin-off Tamar & Vince. Her life unfurled like a well-scripted drama filled with impromptu crescendos and diminuendos.
Astonishingly, she’s also dabbled in daytime television, co-hosting The Real from 2013 until her departure in 2016. This departure was highly publicized, yet it didn’t define her. If anything, it further cemented her status as an entertainment polymath. Awards? She has them in spades. Grammy nominations, a BET Award, and several Soul Train Music Awards only scratch the surface of her extensive trophy collection.
Philanthropic Notes In A Song Of Wealth
Further, Tamar’s voice isn’t her only instrument. Her philanthropic undertakings harmonize seamlessly with her wealth, creating a holistic composition of affluence and compassion. She has used her platform for several causes that serve the greater good, including cancer research and mental health awareness. Her openness about her struggles with mental health has not just been therapy for her but has acted as a beacon for those grappling with similar issues, adding another layer of importance to her celebrity.
Stitching Business Into The Fabric of Fame
If you thought Tamar was only about notes and scripts, think again. Her foray into the fashion industry with her clothing line Tamar Collection brings an additional revenue stream. It exemplifies the quintessential traits of a modern mogul: diversified, dynamic, and ever-evolving. It’s not just the fabric she’s selling. Overall, it’s a lifestyle, a mindset, an extension of her persona packaged into wearable art.
So, when discussing Tamar Braxton’s estimated net worth of $51 million in 2023, understand that it’s not just a number. It’s also an intricate mural, meticulously painted with strokes of talent, dashes of business savvy, and hues of humanitarianism.
Tamar Braxton recently called out super producer Rodney ‘Dark Child’ Jerkins over royalty splits claiming he is greedy and takes a large portion of royalties.
It began when a music page on Instagram revealed Toni Braxton was receiving 60% of the royalties from Burna Boy’s smash hit single ‘Last Last’. The song which samples Toni Braxton’s ‘He Wasn’t Man Enough’ is a huge hit for Burna and fans were shocked Toni asked for such a huge portion of the song. Her baby sister Tamar Braaxton says not so fast…the producer of the song Rodney Jerkins took most of it.
On the same Instagram post, Tamar entered the comments to clarify the rumor. She wrote:
She did not!!!! Actually that overly greedy RODNEY did!!! He won’t even come out and be honest about it!! That’s who he is and how he do!! He took almost ALL the percentage!!! She won’t say it but now that I’m a better sister, I’ll slap a Bch for any one of em!! He’s the WORST!!! Greedy MF
We don’t often get much R&B beef that passes through timelines, but Kandi Burruss and Tamar Braxton are going at it online. The singers have been longtime acquaintances in the industry, even performing at shows together throughout the years. They’ve also both found success in unscripted television, so it isn’t surprising that the pair run in similar social circles. However, months ago, Braxton shared a story about being threatened by a cast member of Real Housewives of Atlanta and their husband. During her recent stint on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Braxton revealed it was Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker.
The mention has caused an eruption on social media, and all day (March 20), Braxton and Burruss have been going at it. “Before y’all start.. I left the situation alone. but the fact is kandi & Todd wanted to fight me!! Periodt!! There was witnesses and Jr came to the next show to check Todd and she nor he won’t address it cause how do u defend that? The facts are the facts tho. I’m off it #changed.” She also told a fan she’s not “scared of anyone or the truth,” so she decided to name names.
Kandi Burruss Claps Back
Initially, Burruss only reacted with an eye-rolling emoji, but she hopped on camera to clarify things. “Everybody’s wondering about the beef,” she said. “The only thing I’ll say right now is, you know, simply that that’s not true… He did not threaten her or none of that. So, that’s why I didn’t even wanna like address that on Amazon Live. She and I did have words, but he didn’t. I was like, mmm…yeah. Some people like to twist things a little bit, but we can talk about it later on a different platform. Or not!”
Braxton further insulted Burruss by dropping into The Shade Room‘s comment section. The outlet posted about Burruss’s ongoing tension with SWV over how much they get paid compared to Xscape. “Imagine having The biggest ego for the most non singing person in the entire music industry [eye roll emoji],” wrote Tamar. Later, she doubled down that Tucker intimidated her, and a photo of Braxton’s fiancé, JR Robinson, having a tense, private conversation with Tucker emerged.
“I am the victim when your man steps to a woman!!” Braxton added on her Instagram Story. “Sounds like an abused woman to me to see nothing wrong with that!! I hope he’s not beating your ass … I pray for your healing.” Check out the ongoing argument above.
Peacock’s new series Queens Court is shaping up to be a success off-screen as Tamar Braxton and Evelyn Lozada are both engaged. Braxton, Lozada, and singer Nivea all star on the dating show, along with 21 men vying for their affections. Yesterday, we reported that Lozada was engaged to Lavon Lewis, a man she met on Queens Court. Today (March 17), Braxton followed suit and shared that she, too, will walk down the aisle with a man she met on the series.
Tamar posted a video of her beau, Jeremy “JR” Robinson wishing her a happy birthday. “It’s my birthday but I have to post the one who puts this cheesy smile on my face,” the singer wrote. “It took me a while to realize that this wholesome, Traditional love is the kind that I wanted and needed. We have 6 children between the two of us and they mean EVERYTHING to me. So miss me with the he has 4 baby mamas!! Thank God for them. We are blessed And drama free thank God for my best friend, life partner and fiancée @rarebreednola the happiest birthday to me ever my don’t miss our whole love story on @peacock.”
Tamar Braxton Finds Her Prince Charming
On the final episode of Queen’s Court, Robinson popped the question. Now, we’re six months into the relationship, and the couple is still going strong. “I knew I was different than my siblings,” Braxton told her fiancé on the show. “I prayed for somebody to understand me and not look at me and my flaws and just accept me for who I am. And then I met you. And then I saw every single that I ever prayed for as a child.” She added, “I thought that I just needed love. I didn’t. I needed a friend. And you’ve been that for me.”
Robinson replied, “I’m not only willing, I’m ready. So much so that I don’t want to be your friend. I don’t want to be your friend. I want to be your husband. Tamar, I’m here forever because I don’t see my life without you,” the attorney said. “I love you, Tamar. Tamar, will you marry me?” She wanted to make sure this was what he really wanted before answering. When he said it was, Braxton was all in.
An Angry Ex
However, the mother of one of Robinson’s children took to social media to call out Braxton for not reaching out to her. Robinson reportedly has five children with four women, and Anaston Jeni seems upset that Braxton is in her son’s life without attempting to contact her. The singer spoke kindly of Robinson’s children and his exes, and wanted them all to be a happy blended family. “This woman is in no way a bonus or step mom to my son,” she wrote. “My son does not mean ‘everything’ to her and she has not thanked God for me, & truthfully, none of his baby mamas. She has said demeaning, disrespectful, & outrageous things about how I have chosen to coparent with my son’s father and the efforts I have made to keep him involved. She has made NO effort to meet me, get to know me as a woman or mother, & has caused my son’s father to miss visitation weekends and birthdays.” Check it out above.
Earlier this year, Nicki Minaj made it clear that she was working on music thanks to the re-release of her beloved mixtape, Beam Me Up Scotty. Three new songs were attached to the re-uploaded project, with one of them being “Seeing Green” with Drake and Lil Wayne. From that moment on, new releases from the Minaj arrived at a consistent rate. She teamed with Polo G for their first collaboration before remixing BIA’s hit record, “Whole Lotta Money.” Nowadays, the Pink Friday rapper is hard at work on what appears to be her next album, and as she progresses with it, Nicki took to Twitter to put out a special request.

Would love to hear ppl who can rlly do it.” In a second post, she added, “Summer, Jhené & Kehlani can be good in the blend as well with their harmonies.” Kehlani caught wind of the tweet and asked Nicki to be a bit more specific with her request. “Just challenging 6 gurls to redo that lil thing I sang,” Nicki replied. “It’s on my story. Then I’ll take the a cappella & put together a lil Smthn,” she wrote, adding, “no big zeal zo.”
Summer Walker also responded to Nicki and wrote, “I’d love that [black heart emoji].” Nicki replied, “Okay puddin pop. Love you. Dm it or post it when u want. No big zeal.”
