Katt Williams Reveals Plan For 2Pac Posthumous Album Featuring Cardi B & More

Katt Williams says that he’s working on a posthumous 2Pac album that will feature Cardi B. He discussed the plan while speaking with Suge Knight on the Death Row Records founder’s podcast, Collect Call, Tuesday. During the conversation, Suge described Cardi as the “female version of 2Pac.”

“What you got going on with some of those unreleases with ‘Pac, sh*t, you got me excited. The different people you said you’re gonna put on there. I don’t wanna let the cat out the bag but it’s unbelievable,” Suge said, as caught by HipHopDX. Williams revealed that there’s a total of eight features on the project that encompass “only the best of the best.” Suge then asked: “I heard Cardi B on the project with you, is that true?” to which Williams replied: “Absolutely.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Knight and Williams discussed the reputation of Jada Pinkett Smith. “That’s the homegirl, she ain’t as crazy as people think she is. On this date in 2000, West Coast rap giant Snoop Dogg released his fifth full-length studio album entitled The Last Meal, which was released on Master P’s Dirty South, independent powerhouse, No Limit Records, as well as the first album on Snoop’s Doggystyle Records. This album was released during the “dog days” of Death Row, with Snoop and Dre parting ways with their former boss and label owner Suge Knight. The album was leaked on the internet on December 1, 2000, by Suge Knight who made all tracks downloadable in MP3 from the official site of his and Snoop Dogg’s former company Death Row Records, which featured links to tracks from both Tha Last Meal and Dead Man Walkin’ albums, asking visitors to “take The Snoop Dogg Challenge” and decide “song for song” which is the better album.

There was some heavy production on the album, with tracks primarily from Dr. Dre and Master P, adding Timbaland and Soopafly to the unique flavor of this project as well. The most recognizable track from the album was “Lay Low” a melodic track featuring Butch Cassidy, The Outsidaz with Nate Dogg singing the hook and Dr. Dre behind the boards, capturing that original G-funk sound of the 213.

Salute to Snoop, Master P, Dre and the entire No Limit/Death Row teams who helps mold this timeless classic!

Suge Knight Releases Photo of Playing with Diddy’s Son Justin Combs as a Baby

Suge Knight Releases Photo of Playing with Diddy's Son Justin Combs as a Baby

Suge Knight is taking his ever-present beef with Diddy to a new level. During a recent podcast episode, Suge Knight detailed his relationship with Misa Hylton, the mother of Diddy’s son, Justin Combs.

Knight would release an image playing with Justin during a time, aligning with the timeline for the East Coast-West Coast feud.

The latest entry in their decades-long saga comes less than a month after Cassie’s lawsuit revealed Diddy once planned to attack Knight once his secured team alerted him about the location of the Death Row leader at a local diner.

The court docs read, “For example, on one occasion when Mr. Combs and Ms. Ventura were using drugs together in his home, one of his security staff barged in and announced that Suge Knight—a longtime rival of Mr. Combs—was spotted at Mel’s Drive-In Diner in Los Angeles.

“Mr. Combs began to get dressed, retrieved multiple guns from a safe, and ran out of his home to where he believed Mr. Knight was dining. Ms. Ventura became terrified and began to cry.”

Suge Knight Trolls Diddy With Justin Combs Throwback Picture Amid Sexual Assault Lawsuits

Suge Knight trolled Diddy by sharing a photo of himself with the Bad Boy mogul’s son, Justin Combs, on social media. Justin’s mother, Misa Hylton, can be seen on the edge of the picture as well. It was taken when Justin was just a toddler. The post comes after Suge discussed the sexual assault lawsuits filed against Diddy on his Collect Call podcast.

On the show, Suge accused Diddy of assaulting an assistant. “Same time he beat the shit outta motherfucking Cassie, he had an assistant by the name of Capricorn. He felt Cap was keepin’ this shit on the low about if she was messin’ with Cudi or not. Puffy beat the sh*t out that b*tch,” Suge said. “Not only did he beat the sh*t out of her, it was an Interscope person, an Interscope check, that paid her to settle so he wouldn’t go to jail.”

Suge also joked about Diddy joining him in prison as a cellmate. “Puffy, I don’t wanna see you go down, but if you need a celly, I’ma grant your ass my cell, boy! Have your cook game working. I don’t want no head, but you gon’ be cleaning toilets.” he joked. Cassie was the first person to file a lawsuit against Diddy, accusing him of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. They settled just one day later.

The Game Reveals Why He Didn’t Sign To Death Row, Recalls Time With Suge Knight

During a recent interview with VladTV, The Game opened up about the time he spent with Suge Knight. He says he hung around him and other artists like Eastwood and Crooked I for a couple of months, but ultimately decided not to sign to Death Row. According to him, he simply concluded that the label just wasn’t the right fit.

He cited the competitive nature of West Coast hip hop, adding that he felt as though he “belonged on records.” Eventually, he got connected with Diddy who “pushed him over” to Dr. Dre. The Game also agreed that at that point, the label was only a “shell” of what it once was. 2Pac had already passed away and Snoop Dogg and other notable artists had moved on.

Diddy Speaks On Suge Knight, Death Row Records

He later spoke about meeting people like Snoop Dogg and Busta Rhymes. According to him, it was like being a “kid in an amusement park.” The Game also reflected on meeting Dr. Dre, calling it nothing short of “life-changing.” He went on to give Dr. Dre his flowers for the impact he’s had on West Coast hip-hop and his career. He wasn’t always so appreciative of Dr. Dre, however. During a precious appearance on Drink Champs, he claimed that Kanye West did more for him in two weeks than Dr. Dre ever did, though he later backpedaled.

“Having Dre do anything for your project, anything in your career, touch any part of anything you’re doing in life is such a blessing that I shall not ever s**t on that again,” he explained. “I should have actually gave him more grace for what he did do and that was actually mentoring me and doing things that nobody could have done for me in my career.” What do you think of The Game’s explanation for deciding not to sign to Death Row? Celebrity Thanksgiving Meals: Tory Lanez, R. Kelly, And Suge Knight All Eat Pumpkin Pie In Prison

When the holiday season rolls around in the final months of the year, it’s hard not to find yourself in a festive mood – even from behind bars. Several famous faces know that all too well after spending several years locked up in prison, but others, like Tory Lanez, are spending their first-ever Thanksgiving in the slammer. The Canadian got a taste of Christmas while incarcerated in 2022, but this time around, he’s getting the full experience, and TMZ managed to get the details on what he’s eating to celebrate the annual holiday.

Much like his listeners, Lanez indulged in some roast turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy on Thursday (November 23). Other fixings on the menu at California Correctional Institution Tehachapi include cornbread dressing, diced carrots, a dinner roll, green salad, cranberry sauce, and of course, pumpkin for dessert. While he’s serving his time at San Diego’s Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility, the outlet notes that Suge Knight ate the same meal as the “Say It” hitmaker.

Elsewhere, R. Kelly has become a seasoned pro at prison Thanksgiving by now. He’s staying at North Carolina’s FCI Butner Medium I, where he was fed roast turkey, baked candied sweet potatoes, cornbread dressing, green beans, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, and pie. In addition to the festive meal, prisoners at various institutes were also partaking in games like bingo, checkers, chess, and relay races to help brighten their moods.

Celebrities spending their holiday season behind bars have little say in what meals they’ll be indulging in, but those on the outside aren’t just sharing photos of their plates with fans on Instagram. For the 2023 season, Quavo is going all out by sharing a cookbook full of family recipes with us. Read more about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Suge Knight To Address Diddy Feud On ‘Collect Calls With Suge Knight’

Suge Knight

Suge Knight is ready to speak out about the recent lawsuit allegations made by Cassie against Diddy on his new podcast, Collect Calls With Suge Knight. With a history dating back to the mid-’90s during the East Coast/West Coast rap wars, the former Death Row Records mastermind’s perspective will undoubtedly bring some insight into the ongoing feud.

Collecting The Facts With Suge Knight

Shortly after Cassie’s 35-page lawsuit against Diddy, it has been reported that Suge Knight is ready to speak out about the recent lawsuit allegations.

In the lawsuit, it was mentioned that Diddy once grabbed a bunch of guns to confront Knight. Knight plans to address this situation on his podcast, Collect Calls With Suge Knight

Knight’s podcast has become a platform where he tackles various controversial topics, and now he is focusing on the Cassie/Diddy situation.

According to TMZ, the Diddy episode will be recorded after Knight drops his Keefe D episode on Thanksgiving Day. With these back-to-back episodes, Knight is determined to shed light on the allegations and provide his perspective.

Inside The Lawsuit

Cassie’s lawsuit against Diddy claims that one night, while they were at home, one of Diddy’s security staff burst into the room to inform him that Suge Knight had been spotted at Mel’s Drive-In Diner

Allegedly, Diddy immediately got dressed, retrieved multiple firearms from a safe, and ran out to confront Suge. This incident has further fueled the ongoing tension between the two rap moguls.

The history between Suge Knight and Diddy goes back to the mid-’90s, during the East Coast/West Coast rap wars.

These conflicts resulted in the tragic deaths of Tupac Shakur and Biggie. With this history in mind, Suge Knight’s perspective on the Cassie/Diddy feud carries significant weight and may help provide a deeper understanding of the situation.

Cassie and Diddy Reach A Quick Settlement

In relation to the lawsuit, Cassie, real name Casandra Ventura, alleged the Bad Boy artist of physical and sexual abuse throughout their decade-long relationship.

The lawsuit, documented in a 35-page legal filing, detailed the alleged mistreatment Cassie endured. However, on Friday, Nov. 17, just nearly 24 hours after the public release of the legal document, Diddy and Cassie settled, leaving the civil lawsuit to end.

‘Collect Calls With Suge Knight’

Prior to the news, in Oct. 2023, Suge Knight teamed up with media company Breakbeat Media and its CEO to launch his podcast, Collect Calls with Suge Knight. Knight has plans to address other long-standing beef in this groundbreaking series with industry figures such as Akon, Master P, Snoop Dogg, and more.

Keefe D May Have Confessed

In connection to legal woes and taboo topics, after a March 2023 interview with VLAD TV, Duane Keith “Keefe D” Davis had faced imminent charges in connection to Tupac’s 1996 Las Vegas shooting. It appeared Keefe admitted to assisting in shooting the late rapper.

2pac Once Got In A Screaming Match With Suge Knight Over $700k According To Music Video Director

Suge Knight and 2pac have both found themselves back in the headlines recently for very different reasons. In Tupac’s case, it’s because of the arrest of Keefe D for the rapper’s notorious murder. After frequently discussing his role in the case in various interviews, Keefe was finally arrested by Las Vegas police for his involvement in the rapper’s death almost 30 years ago.

In Suge Knight’s case, his newfound attention has been entirely on purpose. He recently started a new podcast called Collect Call With Suge Knight. Even though there’s only been two episodes so far they’ve both come with tons of fascinating revelations. In the first episode Suge refuted Warren G’s story that he played a role in freeing Pac from prison. In fact, he went even further to say that the two never liked each other in the first place. In the second episode he revealed the identity of a mystery woman who actually did play a major role in connecting Pac and Suge while the rapper was in prison. But now it’s somebody else entirely making revelations about the two.

2pac And Suge Knight Fighting Over $700k Movie Check

Earlier this week Gobi M. Rahimi, a music video that 2pac worked with numerous times, sat down with The Art Of Dialogue. He used the opportunity to refute Suge Knight and 2pac being as close as they seem. “A lot of people have said they were like brothers or whatever. I only got to see the experiences of him yelling and screaming either at Suge or Death Row employees trying to find out where he money was,” he began.

Rahimi even has a specific and detailed moment to reference. “‘Cause at one point, I remember hearing that 2Pac’s $700,000 check for acting in Gridlock’d had also gone to Suge. And ‘Pac was on the phone yelling and screaming ’bout, ‘Why the f*ck’s my movie money coming to you?’” he detailed. What do you think of 2pac yelling at Suge after he tried to take a $700k check from the rapper? Let us know in the comment section below.

[WATCH] Suge Knight Says He Took The Charge For Dr. Dre In Federal Gun Case

On the latest episode of the Collect Call From Suge Knight podcast, the former Death Row Records CEO explains how he acquired illegal weapons for N.W.A. co-founder and music mogul Dr. Dre, but the said acquisition landed him behind bars on federal gun charges.

Suge talked about a convo with an unnamed person about getting guns for Dre and Snoop during the 1993 The Chronic Tour, saying, “I stopped Dre from getting a lot of time for beating up a gang of bitches and all the shit he was doing that made me… you know. My fed case is behind Dre. If I had to do it all over again I still would do it again because that’s the kind of man I am. The other person, I don’t keep it 1,000 and keep it gangsta because of the next muthafucka, I keep it because that’s my DNA.”

He continued, “So what ended up happening in that situation, a guy called me and said, ‘Hey, Dre want this type of gun. Snoop want this type of gun. Y’all getting ready to go on The Chronic Tour?’ I said, ‘Yeah.’ [He said], ‘What kind you want?’ [I said], ‘I don’t need one.’ He adds, “I gave him the business manager number. The guy calls the business manager. The business manager wires the money for Dre’s guns to a guy who will give him the guns. A year or two later, on my birthday, they arrested me. The feds.”

“I go to court, David Kenner come and see me,” he said. “He shows me that, ‘Hey, [you] can get out, but Dre gon’ do the time, because his business manager is the one that got the money. He can do the time. He [inaudible] behind the shit.’ I said, ‘Fuck it, could you get him probation?’ David Kenner said, ‘Probably not.’ He said, ‘Maybe.’

“I said, ‘Tell you what: either try to get me probation, or if I gotta do a year or two, these muthafuckas better be in the studio working.’ So I got David Chesnoff out of Las Vegas representing me also because that’s where he was from. I got probation, which I end up doing time for that. Had nothing to do with me. So I don’t regret doing anything for people [I] fuck with, ’cause that’s what you supposed to do.”

Suge is currently doing a 28-year stretch for the 2015 murder of Terry Carter on the set of Straight Outta Compton. Knight will be eligible for parole in 2034.

Suge Knight Claims Deion Sanders Never Repaid $500K Invested In His Rap Career

suge

Former Deathrow Records co-founder Marion “Suge” Knight alleges Deion Sanders never paid him back the $500,000 he invested in Sanders’ once aspiring rap career.

Back in the 1990’s Coach Prime– like many sports superstars wanted to get into the hip hop arena.. Sanders allegedly reached out to Knight who was a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.

“When Prime wanted to be a rapper, I spent over half a million dollars of my own money,” Knight told Nick Cannon in a jailhouse phone call that aired on his podcast, “The Daily Cannon.”

“I put guys in the studio, I paid [music producer] Dallas Austin, I did all these songs, did everything.

“Then one day he [Deion’s agent] came to me and said, ‘Well, Prime’s deal’s with Nike and Death Row is a Black-owned company, and we don’t really want to deal with a Black-owned company, even though you paid for everything. We signed to you, put us on the Interscope label brand.”

In 1994, Sanders signed with MC Hammer’s Bust It Records. In December of that year, he released his debut album Prime Time on Bust It Records/Capitol Records.

Sanders’ first single “Must Be The Money,” was his introduction into the music industry.
