Lizzo Spreads Love From Shibuya Amid Drama With Former Dancers

Lizzo has previously broken the internet with her thirst traps on numerous occasions, but just a few weeks ago, it was unfortunately bad news that got the Special singer trending. A group of her former dancers launched a lawsuit against the Detroit native, specifically accusing her of creating a hostile work environment, as well as body shaming them. There were three women sharing their stories at first, but since then, the number has only grown. Their attorney has hinted at the case perhaps going to court in the future, though Lizzo seems focused on staying out of the drama and focusing on positivity.

As she awaits news of what’s happening next with her ex-employees, the multi-talent is spending some time overseas before summer comes to an end. According to her first Instagram post since her statement addressing the allegations, Lizzo is sending us love from Shibuya. On Friday (August 18), her feed lit up with a video reel showing off some of her favourite moments from her time in Japan.

Never one to avoid standing out, Lizzo donned a vibrant yellow, blue, and green two-piece set to explore the city. The fabric’s texture left her looking comparable to a bug or sea creature, but still fabulous, nonetheless. She wore her light brown hair in messy space buns and shielded her eyes from the cameras flashing at her with oversized shades. The 35-year-old appears to be as happy as one can be under the circumstances, bringing much relief to those supporting her through this time.

Earlier in the week, those who chose to remain a part of Lizzo’s dance team shared a statement of solidarity with the “Truth Hurts” singer. “Thank you to Lizzo for shattering limitations and kicking in the doorway for the Big Grrrl & Big Boiii dancers to do what we love!” they wrote. Due to her green eyes, however, Khloe realized that she has the ability to pull off lighter-coloured tresses too, and has been doing so for several years now. Whether she cuts it into a blunt bob or adds extensions for a more voluminous look, the Revenge Body star’s locks are always looking on point. As of late, she’s been rocking a nearly-white blonde and the red lipstick she applied before taking new selfies earlier this week has Kardashian looking brand new.

On Thursday (August 17), she gave us three IG uploads. The first shows the 39-year-old sipping wine in a beautiful red and white floral dress from Dolce & Gabbana. Her figure looks clearly chiselled, and because of the oversized black sunnies she’s wearing, several followers had to do a double take.

“I didn’t know who this was at first, I had to look at the name,” one of that post’s most-liked comments reads. In the second post of the day, Kardashian smized for the camera in the same outfit. Her flashy rings caught the attention of fans in the comments, as well as her perfect French manicure.

According to a tweet from @chartdata, she’s now officially the first female rapper to surpass 65 million monthly listeners in the music platform’s history. The news is definitely celebration worthy, and not long after it came out, the Trinidadian was on her IG Story showing off a flashy new chain that’s surely helping Nicki commemorate her latest accolade.

Pharrell Speaks On Being Shocked By Louis Vuitton Appointment

Pharrell is currently the lead designer over at Louis Vuitton, which is a huge accomplishment. Of course, he takes over from the likes of Virgil Abloh, who was an absolute legend. From Off-White to Louis Vuitton, Abloh made a massive impact on the fashion world. Overall, he remains a revered designer whose influence will never go away. That said, some were surprised that Pharrell got the job at Louis Vuitton. However, he has been making the most of it and has already come through with his very first collection.

Recently, Pharrell spoke about his role with Louis Vuitton and how he was just as surprised as everyone else about the appointment. He describes a conversation with LV CEO Pietro Beccari who was aggressive in offering him the role. Regardless, he was happy to accept. “It wasn’t an interview or anything,” Pharrell explained. “It was like, ‘Will you accept this position? Will you accept this appointment?’ I’m looking at the water and I’m just like, ‘What?’”

However, Pharrell did not that he was surprised Nigo wasn’t given a chance. “I’ve been championing him for a minute,” Williams revealed. “And whenever me and Alexandre [Arnault] talk about LV, we would always just talk about different people. I’ve always been in the background, just advising. I never thought that it would be me.”
