Jake Paul Has Some Strong Words For Gervonta Davis After Boxing Challenge

Jake Paul is on a very high horse after beating Mike Tyson in their long-awaited boxing match in Texas on Friday night (November 15). A lot of people within the combat sports world and outside of it continue to react to the showdown, whether in positive or negative ways. Also, this led to plenty of challenges and reflections on both boxers’ actual talents, such as superstar lightweight Gervonta Davis saying that he would “beat the brakes” off of Paul if they ever stepped into the ring together. When a reporter asked the content creator-turned-fighter about this, he let out a small chuckle, and his colleague posited that Davis needs Paul, presumably for attention, money, status, or a real challenge.

“Yeah, I mean, I’d be down,” Jake Paul responded to Gervonta Davis’ boasting. “Let’s run it. Like, I’d be super, super down. Is there a height limit in boxing? […] Yeah, [Conor McGregor] will never do that, though,” he answered when asked if he sees a bout with the skilled combatant happening in the future. “He knows. He knows way, way, way better than that. He’s not his own boss.” “One, he’s under contract. And two, he won’t do it,” Paul’s colleague added.

With all this in mind, we know that Jake Paul must feel like he’s on top of the world after proving many of his haters wrong. A lot of people bet against him in his Mike Tyson fight, including a losing bet from Drake that cost him $355K. They say success is the best revenge, and since it’s a dish best served cold, we don’t doubt that the Ohio native will talk a lot of smack to anyone ahead of his next moves.

Meanwhile, we wonder how Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will talk about their matchup in the coming days, as they already provided some preliminary statements on the matter. Maybe they give each other the props they deserve or their feud continues beyond the boxing ring. One thing’s for sure, though: more and more challengers will want to step up to the plate. The only question is what common ground they will find to make it happen.

Devin Haney Sues Ryan Garcia For Alleged Fraud & Battery Over April Fight

These two boxers have made their disdain for each other crystal clear. The latest update in the Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia rivalry is the former’s new lawsuit against the latter for alleged battery and fraud on the journey to – and during – their April match at Barclays Center, per TMZ Sports. Haney allegedly filed the suit in New York on Friday (September 27). For those unaware, Garcia initially won that bout after multiple knockdowns, but officials called it a no-contest after they found evidence that Garcia used performance-enhancing drugs for it. Therefore, Haney says that he would not have agreed to the fight if he knew of these enhancements, and thus feels defrauded.

In addition, Devin Haney posited that Ryan Garcia’s ingestion of the drug despite his agreement to fight clean led to Garcia making various misrepresentations. The nature of these is unclear, although Haney said that they would’ve caused him to call the fight quits. But Garcia isn’t the only defendant in this situation. Haney also sued Golden Boy Promotions for alleged breach of contract. Haney seeks unspecified damages for how the situation inflicted “physical injury, reputational damage which will amount to millions of dollars, and emotional and mental distress.”

As of writing this article, it seems like neither Ryan Garcia nor Devin Haney have publicly addressed this lawsuit or the claims within. Elsewhere, though, they have plenty of other matters to jab each other over. For example, Garcia recently called the Diddy scandal a “very serious matter” despite how he trolled Haney for his alleged connection to the Bad Boy executive. As far as a response from Haney, this new lawsuit certainly answered that question.

However, there’s a chance that Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney could settle this the old-fashioned way: with another clean, sanctioned, exciting boxing match. The latter’s promoter wants to make it happen, or at least, that was the plan prior to Garcia’s expulsion from the World Boxing Council for a recent racist rant. As such, the future is uncertain when it comes to a potential round two. We’ll see what the next clash looks like…

There’s a lot of discrimination to unpack, a lot of thirsty comments, and also plenty of debate within the comments section.

Furthermore, Boose Badazz most recently offered his conflicted thoughts on Dwyane Wade, specifically about his nail care brand. “I don’t even got to say nothing,” he said of sexuality rumors that the brand caused. “The world is going to say it. […] I don’t know. I mean… He part of the movement. Elsewhere, Shaq recently revealed how an argument with Dwyane Wade resulted in an NBA championship. “D-Wade, our first argument was in the Finals,” he told Draymond Green on the Warrior’s podcast. “We go down 0-2. He was getting it in. It’s just that it wasn’t for everybody to know. And evidently, you know, he was on Instagram Live and didn’t know. As a result, although no video was seen – thank the Good Lord – we heard quite a bit. We heard quite a bit. Initially, he thought his stuff was hacked and then, obviously, he came out and told what transpired. And that was that.

“From that point forward, you’ve had people speculating as to whether or not was he gon’ get fired, was he going to get suspended, et cetera, et cetera,” Stephen A Smith continued. “Again, he works on First Take. I’m the executive producer for First Take. So if something was gon’ happen to him with regards to ESPN, I’d be one of the first to know. Let me be the first to say that Shannon Sharpe committed no crime. It wasn’t some sex tape that he meant for everybody to hear. That’s not how he rose. I [got] to know him personally. The Joe Budden Podcast and its titular host recently discussed the Shannon Sharpe scandal on their show. “That’s what people are saying,” he responded to Flip’s assessment that Shannon Sharpe wanted to prove non-heterosexuality rumors wrong. “Let’s slow down, because both of those are very important points and I don’t want to breeze by either of them,” referencing Parks’ skepticism that this was an accident. “People are saying that he did this in response to some of the allegations and rumors that have been attached to his name.”

“I’m not all the way mad at that,” Joe Budden said of Parks’ idea that Sharpe went Live intentionally to promote his Nightcap podcast sponsors, which are erection pills. “My problem with what Flip is saying, if that’s true, and the rumors are right that he’s responding to something… Oh, f**k, I don’t even want to be the one to say it, but I’ma say it. Dr Dre Gets Offer From Olympic Archer To Train With Him For 2028 Los Angeles Olympics

Dr. Dre recently revealed that he wants to try out for archery at the 2028 Olympic Games in his home city of Los Angeles. While many fans might have scoffed at this idea, there’s one very knowledgeable expert who is excited at the prospect: two-time Olympic gold medalist Justin Huish. As a fellow Cali native, the archer actually offered the legendary producer to train with him, telling TMZ Sports that he’s thrilled at the idea regardless of the 59-year-old’s age.

“Anyone can do it at any age,” Justin Huish said of Dr. Dre. “There’s not really an age limit. You can be a phenom and you don’t really know. I’ll come to your house. I will train you. I will dedicate my time to train with you. If you’re really serious about this, hit me up. We’ll make it happen!” “I have it set up in my backyard and I heard qualifying for the Olympics is 77 feet. I practice at 90,” Dre said of his past history with archery and how he picked it back up after dedicating much time to music. It would be great for him to represent his home city while they host the next Olympics, as long as he’s not replacing more deserving athletes.

However, Dr. Dre is also critical of this year’s events, particularly in regards to the talent that competed in breakdancing. “I did not like that,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “It’s so many great breakdancers that I don’t know why they had this particular person doing that.” Of course, many thought these comments referred to Australian B-Girl Raygun and her viral moves, but we don’t know for sure. Either way, the event sadly won’t return at L.A.’s Olympics, whether or not you enjoyed it this time around.

Elsewhere, Dr. Dre is also looking forward to completing his collab album with Snoop Dogg, Missionary. “This one is going to show a different level of maturity with his lyrics and with my music,” he remarked to Entertainment Tonight. “I feel like this is some of the best music I’ve done in my career. Olympic Breakdancing Gets Clowned Online For Some Really Bad Moves

Breakdancing is one of hip-hop’s five pillars, and seeing it at the 2024 Olympics in Paris is quite the wild sight for the culture and art form as a whole. Sadly, this global exposure and reintroduction in the popular societal sphere probably won’t make you very happy if you’re bummed out about people forgetting about this pillar more often than not. That’s because a lot of these displays proved to be pretty cringe according to social media’s comically unimpressed reactions. Many of them took aim at a particular b-girl Raygun, although other Olympians also caught strays and jokes about their efforts.

Still, a lot of Olympics fans and viewers found some truly worthwhile and engaging performances during these breakdancing one-on-ones. Even though most of what’s going viral is the more seemingly embarrassing fare, just like with every other event, there’s always something special to witness. Hip-hop’s had a pretty eventful presence in these games this year, with Snoop Dogg pretty much being the poster boy for a lot of it. Surely, more closed and centralized hip-hop circles have a lot more to say about this breakdancing.

Elsewhere, artists like Pharrell think that the Olympics should reinstate their arts competition. “We get to remind people that at one point, the Olympics actually had the arts as a section that ran all these competitions,” he expressed at the event’s Louis Vuitton party. “Sculpture, architecture, visual arts. The idea we get to put the arts back in… Why not take this moment to bring awareness?” The LV creative director referred to the five medals awarded in fields of music, painting, architecture, literature, and sculpture from 1912 to 1948. Breakdancing is definitely a start, although it seems like they didn’t kick off on the best foot this year.

Meanwhile, there are other Olympics-slash-hip-hop moments that were perhaps not as embarrassing as some breakdancing, but were nonetheless not the typical display you’d see from the genre. This includes Travis Scott and Quavo’s impromptu performance of the U.S. national anthem. Huncho Jack and Jack Huncho were giving it their all, but if they had a mic in front of their hands, it would be a pretty bad performance. But they didn’t mean to take over a Super Bowl stage with it, so let’s let them be proud hip-hop stars and at least make the jokes funny and not mean.

The biggest topic in all of rap music this year has been the conflict between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Fans were enthralled with the saga for weeks since they were never sure when the next shots would be fired, in addition to drawing in some of the greatest names in the genre. Particularly during that one weekend when “Family Matters,” “Meet The Grahams,” and “Not Like Us” were released one after the other in quick succession. To many, Drake lost the beef, and he himself seemed to move on and try to put the whole thing behind him. Now, his best friend Odell Beckahm Jr. has released a video of him supporting Drizzy by dancing to “Family Matters.”

Odell dropped a video of himself blasting and dancing to Drake ‘s Kendrick Lamar diss track “Family Matters.” Odell is hilariously showing support to his bestie who he spends a lot of time with. Though Drake may have lost the feud in many people’s eyes, that doesn’t matter to Beckham JR., who will support his guy through thick and thin. Judging by the video, he was really feeling the track and just had to share it with the world to show folks that Drake dropped an incredible song. Drake and Odell have been friends for a long time, so the show of support is no real surprise.

Over the past few years, Drake and Odell Beckham Jr. have become close friends to the point that the Super Bowl champion once resided at the Toronto star’s Hidden Hills home. Beckham reportedly related an incident in which he was at the home of the Six Gods when supporters broke in. “Somehow [these guys] found The Boy’s house, broke into it,” he said during a podcast appearance. And man they come into the room like, ‘We made it to Drake’s crib!’ [Their] socks [were] dirty as hell like they had to crawl through the mountains to get here. So I had to try and play it cool. I had to dap them up but I was like, on edge at this point.”

Odell Beckham Jr. recently signed a deal with the Miami Dolphins, joining their young and dynamic wide receiver room. They will be looking to the veteran Odell to set the standard and hopefully help them make a deep playoff run. Odell also recently called it quits with Kim Kardashian, although the two are still cool with each other. Overall, Odell Beckham Jr. had a great time vibing to his buddy Drake’s diss track, showing some real support.

Stephen A. Smith Throws Shade At Kahwi Leonard Straight To His Clippers Teammate Paul George’s Face

Paul George took Josh Hart’s place as the fifth cast member on the pregame and noticeably shortened halftime show when he joined the NBA Countdown team for Games 3 and 4. Because the Dallas Mavericks eliminated George and the Los Angeles Clippers in the opening round of the NBA playoffs, George is available. George averaged 19.5 points while playing in all six of the series games. Meanwhile, Kawhi Leonard played in just two games in the series. It was the third straight postseason where Leonard missed the end of the Clippers postseason with injury. Stephen A. Smith made a point of referencing this on NBA Countdown, saying, “Nobody on the planet knows what it’s like to play without a star than Paul George.”

On set, this sparked a variety of emotions. Malika Andrews and George chuckled right away, while Bob Myers and Michael Wilbon seemed a little taken aback. George hurriedly warned, “Don’t do that,” and Bob Myers chimed in and told Goerge, “Don’t react to that.” Nevertheless, Smith must not have heard him since, half an hour later, he cracked the identical joke. The team was less accommodating at that time.

Although everyone was smiling and the talk was lighthearted, Smith made a highly impolitic act that would have put George in a difficult situation with his co-star Kawhi. Since his season-long absence in the 2017–18 NBA season, Kawhi has been among the most injury-prone superstars in the league. Leonard’s health issues on the Clippers persisted, even after he elevated load management to the top of NBA discussions by helping Kawhi lead the Toronto Raptors to an NBA Championship.

Even if George hasn’t exactly been a shining example of availability, Leonard is a player who is more prone to injuries than George. Even so, this isn’t the first time Stephen A. has disparaged Kawhi. A couple of weeks ago, Stephen A Smith called out Clippers star Kawhi Leonard. “He’s The Worst Superstar In Sports,” Smith said of Kawhi. Overall, Stephen A. has a serious bone to pick with Leonard.
