However, various hints over the years made fans fear that retirement was right around the corner in this regard, a worry that a recent speech at a Fenty event in Barbados on Thursday night (November 7) fueled once again. “I’m in an industry, right? For music,” she expressed in her native country. “And I want to say that music was the thing that got me attention, but God had other plans for me. And I was able to create in ways that were very sincere and genuine, organic, and authentic to the things that I love. So it doesn’t even feel like a job.

Donald Trump accepted victory in the 2024 Presidential Election with a speech in front of his supporters at his Mar-a-Lago election watch party in Florida just before 2:30 AM, EST on Wednesday. Based on calls by the Associated Press, the former President has clinched at least 277 electoral college votes, passing the threshold for victory. He began his speech by promising to fight for his supporters every day in the White House and predicted a “golden age of America.”

“This was, I believe, the greatest political movement of all time. There’s never been anything like this in this country, and maybe beyond. And now it’s going to reach a new level of importance because we’re going to help our country heal,” Trump said, as noted by Fox News. “We’re going to help our country here. We have a country that needs help, and it needs help very badly. We’re going to fix our borders. We’re going to fix everything about our country and we’ve made history for a reason tonight. And the reason is going to be just that. We overcame obstacles that nobody thought possible.”

One social media user even accused her of accepting “a huge, undisclosed amount” to speak at the rally, which she denies. She hopped on X last night to shut them down, and to remind them that she’s been using her platform to discuss politics for years. “I did not get paid a dollar for this,” her response began. “I actually been talking about these topics for the past couple years FOR FREE on ALL my platforms!! Before I was a celebrity I was a product of poverty for 24 years so you not gonna tell me what I want to see in MY community.”

During her speech, Cardi revealed that she wasn’t even planning on voting until Harris replaced Joe Biden on the Democratic ticket. “[Harris] changed my mind completely,” she explained. “I did not have faith for any candidate until she joined the race and said the things that I wanted to hear — things I want to see next in this country. In times like this, it is important to remember that we have the power to bring change, love light and hope to those who need it most,” Doja said, as caught by Billboard. “I join forces with Global Citizen to help people in areas of conflict and crisis, and I know so many of you join me in taking action to earn your tickets to be here tonight. But we can’t stop now. Please keep using your voice to help those fleeing violence get the food, shelter and education they need and very, very much deserve. The final stages of the grieving process are underway for the family and friends of Rich Homie Quan. The Atlanta rapper was laid to rest with thousands attending. His funeral service was live streamed on the late MC’s website and the entire public was even able to stop by to pay their respects. Multiple photos and videos surfaced throughout the day and from what we could see, it was almost more inspiring than saddening. Corey Lamar, RHQ’s father, put together an appropriate service for a truly celebrated figure.

That could also be attributed to the big-hearted celebrities that made their way out. According to HipHopDX, comedian DC Young Fly, Killer Mike, and ex-NBA star Stephen Jackson, were just some that gave speeches at Quan’s celebration. Lately, he’s been taking steps toward sobriety, and fans are glad to see him on a better path. Recently, however, he was recruited to give a motivational speech to a youth football team in Florida. A few of his comments have raised eyebrows, as social media users don’t think he delivered his message in a kid-friendly way.

“Say no to drugs,” he told the group of children. “They too good, y’all gone like em and go cr*zy.” While the advice itself is solid enough, many are pointing out that he appeared to address the group while holding both alcohol and a blunt. Others argue that telling young and impressionable individuals that drugs are “good” on any level is irresponsible.

BET Awards: Usher Gives Emotional Speech On Family & Forgiveness While Receiving Lifetime Achievement Award

Usher reflected on the value of family and the importance of forgiveness during an emotional speech at the BET Awards on Sunday night. Toward the end of the ceremony, he accepted the Lifetime Achievement Award on stage from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

“Getting here has definitely not been easy, but it has been worth it,” Usher said. “I didn’t write anything because I wanted this moment to be exactly what it was: present. In this moment, how I am feeling, and the appreciation that I have for each and every person that have anything to do with this moment tonight, as well as the 30-plus-year career that I’m celebrating. This Lifetime Achievement Award, I don’t know, man. Is it too early for me to receive it? Because I’m still running and gunning and I still love it like I did when I was 8 years old.” From there, he reflected on his journey to finding an identity.
