Joe Biden Confusingly Remarks, “God Save The Queen”

Joe Biden ended a speech in Connecticut at the National Safer Communities Summit at the University of Hartford on Friday by remarking, “God save the Queen, man,” to the audience. The comment comes months after the death of Queen Elizabeth II, who passed at the age of 96, last September.

When asked for context to the quote, White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Olivia Alair Dalton told CT Insider that Biden was speaking directly to someone in the audience. “He couldn’t do the full rope line due to weather, and was commenting to someone in the crowd,” Dalton wrote in an email.

Biden previously reflected on Queen Elizabeth II’s passing in a White House statement, last year. “Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was more than a monarch. She defined an era,” Biden wrote at the time. “We first met the queen in 1982, traveling to the UK as part of a Senate delegation. And we were honored that she extended her hospitality to us in June 2021 during our first overseas trip as President and First Lady, where she charmed us with her wit, moved us with her kindness and generously shared with us her wisdom.”

Joe Biden Confuses Supporters

Elsewhere in Biden’s speech, he called for several gun control measures including universal background checks and banning AR-15s. “A lot of you are tired. You’re tired. No, I get it. Try being 110 and doing it again,” Biden said. “Whether your Democrat or Republic we all want families to be safe. We all want to drop them off at a house of worship, a mall, a movie, a school door without worrying that’s the last time we’re ever see them.” The speech comes as Biden continues to prepare for the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election.

Killer Mike Reflects On Importance Of Free Speech During FIRE Gala Speech

Killer Mike emphasized the importance of free speech during his keynote speech at the 2023 Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) Gala in New York City on Thursday. In doing so, he explained that fighting for freedom of expression is an endless fight. He also argued that freedom of speech is currently at risk in the United States.

“I need us here to know tonight that there is no grand final winning of freedom of speech,” Killer Mike told the audience. “There’s no end of the race where we all hold up trophies. It is a constant and protracted struggle to make sure the rights to become a more perfect union are always striven for.”

He continued: “If we allow ourselves to express to one another our deepest and sometimes our darkest thinkings, we will eventually hear one another. Burn off the fat of prejudice, of racial injustice, of misogyny, of phobias, and we will get to a place where we make a better, a more perfect union. Right now, in this country, your freedom of speech is at risk. The government has no right to limit your freedom of speech, your freedom of religion, your freedom to assemble.”

The speech comes as Mike prepares to release his forthcoming solo album Michael. It will be his first album as a solo artist in over a decade. In the time since his 2012 project, R.A.P. Music, he’s been focusing on his work with El-P for Run The Jewels. The two recently released the single, “Don’t Let the Devil.” They also collaborated with No I.D. and Little Shalimar on the production of the song. Michael will release on June 16, 2023. Be on the lookout for more news regarding the album in the coming weeks and check out Killer Mike’s FIRE Gala speech below.

Benzino Takes Blame For André 3000’s Speech At The 1995 Source Awards

Benzino just took credit (or blame, in this case) for arguably one of the most important moments in hip-hop history. Moreover, readers likely remember André 3000’s now iconic speech after winning Best New Artist at the 1995 Source Awards off the success of their 1994 debut Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik. While they received boos from the crowd, André kept his head up and clapped back at the community hating on the new generation and scene that was bubbling out of the South, which didn’t match the East or West Coast as far as public favor.

“But it’s like this, though,” 3 Stacks remarked on stage. “I’m tired of closed-minded folks. It’s like we got a demo tape and don’t nobody want to hear it. But it’s like this, the South got something to say, and that’s all I got to say.” Now, in a snippet from Ray Daniels’ upcoming interview with Benzino for his The Gauds Show podcast, the media personality admitted that he tried to skew reception of the Atlanta legends’ LP upon its release. Of course, most people loved it, but he didn’t share that enthusiasm. Almost thirty years later, he admitted to sleeping on Outkast, and even suggested that Dré’s speech was aimed at him, among other detractors.

Benzino Claims He Unfortunately Inspired André 3000’s Source Awards Speech

“The reason why André 3000 said what he did, I’ma have to tell y’all this story,” Benzino revealed regarding his close work with The Source magazine co-owner Dave Mays. “When they was giving Outkast 4.5 mics, I remember, I didn’t understand it. I didn’t understand the music. And I was the one who kinda raised some situations up at The Source, I’m gonna admit it. And I was wrong. I think it got to Outkast. And I think that’s why André said what he said. I think that was kinda directed toward me.

“I think I made a mistake and I shouldn’t have,” he continued. “Usually, I bow out of the whole five mic thing. The five mics was so strong that we let the journalists take care of that. The Source was business over here and the journalists over here. We would let the journalists take care of that; the writers, the photographers. It was a group of them and they would sit in a room and the labels would send the albums and they would rate them. It was one of the main things, the five mic system. One time, me and one of them got into a debate about Outkast because I didn’t understand at that time that music. And I was wrong.” Regardless of your take on this, come back to HNHH for the latest on Benzino, André 3000, and Outkast.

Donald Trump Delivers 1st Speech Since Indictment

Donald Trump slammed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg as well as the case against him in his first speech since his arrest and arraignment in New York City. Trump addressed a crowd of his supporters at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday night after his unprecedented court appearance, in which he pled not guilty to 34 felony charges of falsifying business records.

“They can’t beat us at the ballot box, so they try to beat us through the law,” Trump said. From there, he added: “The only crime that I’ve committed is to fearlessly defend our nation from those who seek to destroy it. The criminal is the district attorney because he illegally leaked massive amounts of grand jury information, for which he should be prosecuted — or at a minimum, he should resign.”

Trump also warned that he may face further legal troubles, referencing Fulton County D.A. Fani Willis. “In the wings, they’ve got a local racist Democrat district attorney in Atlanta who is doing everything in our power to indict me over an absolutely perfect phone call — even more perfect than the one I made with the president of Ukraine,” Trump said. “Then you have a radical left lunatic, known as a bomb-thrower, who is harassing hundreds of my people day after day over the boxes hoax. This lunatic new special prosecutor named Jack Smith … others of his ilk say he’s even worse than they are.” In total, Trump spoke for under 30 minutes and appeared more tired than usual.

The case against Trump hinges on payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal, which allegedly violate federal campaign finance laws. The legal trouble comes as Trump campaigns to represent the GOP in the 2024 presidential race. His supporter, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, says that the court appearance will only boost his polling numbers over rival Ron DeSantis. “Alvin Bragg is making the best case possible to Republican voters to vote for Donald Trump,” Greene said, as noted by NBC. “Alvin Bragg is also making the best case possible to independent voters to vote for Donald Trump.”
